Waits changed me for a double and she never asked if I wanted a double. Wings and pickles were not crispy like they usually are. I find it very annoying when I come in and get seated and not one waitress or waiter offers a drink or anything . Then seeing waitresses styling each other's hair.. we sat at our table for 15 minutes and nobody even checked on us to see if we wanted anything. Happy hour after work on Wednesday. This place is 5 mins from work and finally we got to try it. To my surprise this place is packed at 4pm on a Wednesday! They have different happy hour deal every day. Wednesday is wine day - $3 off for a glass and $10 off for a bottle. Thursday is Genentech and medical day-15% . So you have a reason to come everyday! :) They have plenty beer on the tap and also snacks and food to choose from. We ordered some beer and a bacon fries to share. The fries portion is huge and it is $9?! I believe. Our waitress was very helpful and checking on us all the time. I love this local place for us to relax after work! I've been to The Brass Tap a couple times over the years for a couple dates, friendly hang out, and brunch. They have a fantastic selection of beers. It's likely the most extensive beer menu I've seen. The food I didn't like as much... The last time I came was for weekend brunch. It felt a bit eerie eating brunch at a bar in the late morning. There were only a few other patrons at 11am. I got the chicken and waffles. It was okay. It came with syrup, but no gravy or hot sauce. Service was prompt and we were checked up on regularly. I felt I enjoyed the nights with beers much more and didn't feel like drinking that early in the day. The patio looks very cute! I could see myself coming back for a date night for drinks on the patio. But I'm not likely to come back only for brunch/food. read more

Really like the few times I've been here. Kind of a hidden location if you don't notice it on the freeway but if you do and go in you won't regret it. A great staff with good food and many drinks. Above-average tap house/sports bar in Vacaville. The food is good, generally. The kitchen can be a bit spotty during peak sporting events, but those events are rare. I highly recommend the steak tacos. They put their own twist on them by grilling roasted red peppers and onions along with the steak and finishing them with an interesting sauce. They're quite good. On Tuesday, you can get them al a carte at a nice price. The wait staff and bartenders seem to stick around for years, and they genuinely seem to care about one another, and that makes for a very nice atmosphere. Tip them well; they are true professionals. The beer selection is beyond respectable, and they have a full bar as well. Right off I-80, so it's a great place to wait out the traffic (responsibly, of course). read more

This is tucked away in a neighborhood. I didn't think it would be rowdy in here, but it was. It wasn't that noisy though. Nothing is more All-American than a Cheeseburger. This is a pub that have premium Angus blend burgers. A sign of a good burger, is when the burger patty is somewhat protruding out. I repeat once more, the Angus Beef was premium. This might be better than Smashburger. I went with the Sweet Heat BBQ Cheeseburger. Pepper jack cheese, no bacon, no bacon, lettuce, tomato, crunchy onion straws, & Sweet Heat BBQ. What is Sweet Heat BBQ? How can two things be Hot and Sweet at the same time? What style is that? Texas Barbecue? Pepper jack cheese really do remind me of Pimento cheese. Like the cheese from a basic grilled cheese sandwich packed in a lunchbox. This was way after lunch. This reminds me of the Western Cheeseburger as well. Who remembers the all-beef patty, melted American cheese, crunchy onion rings and tangy BBQ sauce on a seeded bun? I give some points to the buttery bun, no sesame. This is different. I have nothing to say about the Kobe Beef Sliders going around out there. All I know is, this is kind of better than your favorite steakhouse burger. This was supposed to be with Crinkle-Cut Fries this time. I think Crinkle-Cut Fries are better than regular Fries sometimes. These weren't Crinkle-Cut Fries, and they weren't regular Fries too. I know how Crinkle-Cut Fries look like. That doesn't look like Crinkle-Cut Fries. Crinkle-Cut Fries are like the descendents of Waffle Fries. I've had more than enough exceptional Fries. But again, are they better than the Kimchi Fries? I see this as a base for some Poutine Fries? I've had a few Poutine Fries in my days. The Fries, were so Potato. The Fries, weren't under seasoned like some I had out there. It is bigger than it looks. The Fries, were so crunchy. And is the ketchup for the Cheeseburger or the Fries? I only dip my Fries in ketchup sometimes. I know not everywhere includes ketchup. Most of the time I like to dip my Fries in something with Dijon mustard. Sweet and sour sauce are strictly for chicken nuggets. Oh, and I hope you won't find this on a coupon from a weekly ad found in your mailbox. It's just down the street from us so we go fairly regularly. During the pandemic they did what they could to be safe and stay open. We ate in a tent twice during that time. Food is quite good and reasonably priced (considering everything is expensive everywhere these days.). I enjoy their fish and chips and the burgers are delicious. So many beers from which to choose!! My friend and I have been to Brass Tap a couple of times now. They are open for outside dining but the way it's set up makes you feel like it's an indoor experience which is great. The first time we went the service was amazing...the waitress was super attentive and very friendly. The second time around the service was so-so...we never could seem to get our servers attention and the host was pretty unfriendly. He just seemed annoyed or irritated. The food is good, I especially liked the Korean BBQ flatbread. It is piled high with stacks of shredded meat and some type of sweet and tangy sauce. So Good! The fries and cheese curds are amazing too. Nicely seasoned/battered on the outside and soft on the inside. I had the lavender lemonade drink...I think it had gin or vodka in it with lemonade and a hint of lavender. It was pretty good. The flatbread was about $13 or $15 and everything else was basic restaurant priced. We paid about $80 for two drinks each, an appetizer, and two meals. I definitely want to go back and sample more of their menu. read more

CAUTION when you go to this restaurant: watch for your wallets and valuables. I left an important valuable item of mine on table 11 on 12.23.21 (Thursday) at exactly 2:52pm when I left the restaurant. I returned the next day, and was informed by a waitress that no item had been recovered. I returned a few hours later asking to speak to the manager. I was greeted by a very aggressive young woman who showed zero interests and seemed unwilling to help in any way. Noticing a surveillance camera near table 11, I asked politely if she could share the footage taken that day: she categorically refused. Instead, the manager asked for my contact information and assured me she would contact me on 12.26.21 (Sunday). The manager never called me back that very Sunday and I returned in person to be greeted by another lady who said the video footage could not see anything on guests' tables as it was "too dark" (remember I ate there at 2pm next to a large glass window). I asked politely again to see the surveillance footage and was told it was against their policy and would need a subpoena to obtain it. A behavior I find highly suspicious and far from neutral. Instead of doing the right thing; I highly suspect the restaurant is simply covering up for either one of its employee or guest by not helping me recover my personal item. Unfortunately, instead of helping me resolve this matter in private professionally and quickly - I will have to file a police report and contact my attorney in the next few days to file for a subpoena to recover the video footage. In the meantime, I would like to inform any future customers to be extremely vigilant and careful as the staff working at The Brass Tab in Vacaville, California are dishonest, hostile and would rather keep you in the dark - than help you recover your belongings. I spent Christmas in pain, and in despair over the incident. I will post a future post regarding this incident soon until my property is recovered. read more

Way too loud for me. Granted, we came on a Sunday (yay, football), so the place was pretty packed full of fans, but there were a handful of tables empty to choose from. The hostess/server told us to sit wherever we wanted. We picked a table along the wall hoping to be able to carry on a conversation. Unfortunately, this put us near the front entrance which was propped open, presumably to help keep the place cool, but it wound up allowing wafts of cigarette smoke to blow in from outside into our faces. After several minutes of annoying cigarette smoke and not being assisted by a server (I manhandled a booster seat for my toddler myself from a haphazard stack of high chairs and booster seats that were a tangled, tipping mess), we bailed and sought lunch elsewhere. Maybe this was a fluke, but based on other reviews, not likely. We came not expecting much from the food, but hoping to try some delicious brews, but the service and atmosphere made even that unappetizing. read more
