Overall - a good spot to grab a smashburger and a few drinks. Went on Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised to be seated quickly. Service was prompt and friendly and they had live entertainment which was nice. Two things were a standout - smashburgers were great as was their spinach soup - both we delicious ! (4 stars for these for sure) French Fries were a complete fail as they came out cold. (Sorry folks - you can't get a four star review if you are serving cold fries at a burger / sandwich oriented restaurant) Ordered a Beagle Regal cocktail which was also not to my liking. read more

This place has smash burgers on the menu. I'm a sucker for good smash burgers and this place doesn't disappoint. Fantastic food and tap choices. Very friendly staff and plenty of parking. New owners and new name (formerly The Library) have made a significant difference. Ambience was pleasant and the background music was a good playlist and exactly what you'd want it to be...in the background! Menu had a vegetarian sandwich option that was very good. Tap list was somewhat limited but we did find a craft brew we liked. For dessert we had the chocolate covered martini.... and were not disappointed. We will return. read more

Very unhappy with the way things were handled. Ordered Monte Cristo sandwich. After waiting a lengthy time, it was delivered to the table with an update from the waitress. It was made a new way with waffles, failing to inform us of this when ordered. The waffles were uncooked in the center. Proceeded to tell the waitress, an excuse was new way of preparing. Asked that we talk to the owners and was dismissed as she took care of it in the kitchen. Bill was presented in FULL. Sad that this happened in a local establishment. Good place for sandwiches...also had a pumpkin pie martini ~ which was more of a White Russian that was pumpkin flavored than martini-ish. We were excited to try a new restaurant and Brick House didn't disappoint! We were a table for two on Monday night. We were seated right away but noticed the restaurant quickly filled up. Our service professional Mia was friendly and efficient. We ordered the cheese curds for an appetizer and they were very filling as well as delicious. I asked for an alteration on the sandwich I ordered and was happily accommodated. The food arrived quickly and though we drove a bit to get there we will be back. Glad to see another business opening in Benton Harbor! We came on a busy Saturday evening. The team was attentive and friendly. We ended up sitting at the bar because there was a 20-minute wait and by the time we sucked down our margaritas we decided to hang there instead. The interior is comfortable with good lighting and decor. Modern, but casual and inviting. The drinks were good -- vodka for me. But after months of at-home quarantine bar making, I was happy to feel "happy" after my drink! We didn't get an appetizer but opted for double smash burgers. They were a 10 out of 10. (There's a reason why they're highlighted on the menu!) The fries were spot on as well. Crispy but plenty of potato inside. Like other reviewers have mentioned, we had to wait a long time (a really long time) for our food. But I chalk that up to being new and having recently opened. We'll totally be back again for the burgers. The team is working out the kinks but I am glad that instead of pushing out lousy food b/c of the delay, we still got an amazing meal. Top notch caterer. We had Kelly and Brick House cater our Fall fundraising event for Ghostlight Theatre and they did a fantastic job. I went there for a birthday celebration for me and my son. We had a table of ten. Everyone loved the food. We had 5 of the daily specials-Bacon Jam Burgers, Romeo Delight, Little Dreamer, Fair Warning, Loco 190, and Orchid. Everyone finished every last bite and will be returning!!! I've never been so inclined ~ or eager ~ to send in a review, especially a NEGATIVE review. We had an unbelievably HAUGHTY waitress who was very quick to insult and not at all concerned with whatever we felt could be improved. I ordered an eggplant sandwich without mayo ~ it came WITH mayo and the eggplant was so tough, it was hard to bite. But, according to the waitress, I was just so particular and it was too bad they weren't 'good enough' so they did take off the cost of the sandwich from our bill. She said she asked if I wanted a new one and I didn't respond! I don't remember her ever asking anything! I did also request my fries be under cooked and she seemed appalled and said they DID NOT prepare UNDERCOOKED foods! Like undercooked potatoes would be a health threat. The fries were just regular, not undercooked at all. She said she talked with the owner, although we never saw or had pointed out who that owner is/was. But, it was the owner who authorized the $12 be taken off our bill. Guess what ~ not good enough!! We've dined all over the world ~ this waitress was a total FAKE PRISS who turned us off completely and the food value wasn't anywhere near the cost. My husband thought his sandwich was ok; but asked for some extra au jus and was told that ounce of juice would cost and extra $1.00. What B.S.!! Sorry, we'll never be back, nor will we ever recommend anyone else ever go there either! read more
