I came here for lunch and this is such a nice spot!! The atmosphere is upscale and the staff is very kind and attentive. They have lunch specials where you get an appetizer and entree for under $30 which is great for a place like this. The food was great -- this is definitely an underrated place. Despite being a chain, it has its charm to it.

Such a lovely dinner experience! Each course was just as delicious as the one before it. Everything we ate, we all agreed we would order again. Some highlights were the calamari, sesame tuna, brussels sprouts and apple tarte! Service was very friendly and attentive, we never had to ask for water refills or for plates to be cleared. Great spot for a nice meal, will definitely be back!

The lobster Mac and cheese was a solid choice! The drinks were strong but lovely. And a large bread selection!

Stopped in for a quick bite after viewing some of the boats for Sail250. We were seated immediately in the bar area and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. The oyster Rockefeller was too good! The soup du jour was lobster bisque (only would have liked a bit of seasoning/flavor as a improvement) Would recommend

    Lobster tail, sea bass, asparagus

This was one of the best dinners we have had in a while. Server Brian Deegan took good care of us. My lobster tail was a bit overdone, but still very good. The sea bass was yummy. All the breads in the basket with fresh butter were great. Brian surprised us with a special dessert sampler to celebrate our anniversary that was terrific! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

This Capital Grill has been consistently amazing for years. It's one of our favorite steak spot in Baltimore area. The ambiance is so elegant and comfy. Their service is always phenomenal. Never had a bad experience there. Food is always great with consistency and top quality. Their cocktail shrimp, oysters, ribeye, side dishes are all good. We even had our wedding dinner there. I would always recommend Capital Grill as one of the best steakhouse chains.

I love this Capital Grille! I prefer to go during happy hour to get a good deal. It's clean, reasonably priced, dimly lit, and great customer service. My favorite dishes are the lamb chops and the lobster mac and cheese. I probably would just get a caesar salad next time vs the caesar bites. They were interesting though lol. The drinks are strong and worth the money. Especially the peach bourbon smash.

Ate here while visiting The restaurant is very classy/ upscale. I would be a regular if I lived close by. Service was excellent and food was very good. I had a French onion soup which was great but the cup was small, much smaller than what I typically see and i order this soup most times I eat out. But it had a great taste. The table bread and butter were also very good. My drink was.passion fruit mojito -was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant especially if celebrating or wanting an upscale funeral dining experience.

This is hands-down one of my favorite places, and yes--I've already reviewed it before. But it's so good I had to let folks know again. The consistency is different here. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and focused on giving you a great experience. The bathrooms stay clean, the vibe is grown, and people come here to enjoy good food--not nonsense. The food? Elite. The lamb chops and the filet are my top picks every single time--they never miss. Every side is strong, and the drinks are always on point. I leave satisfied every visit. You really can't go wrong here... date night, birthday, business dinner, or just treating yourself. I love this spot. Capital Grille is absolutely the place to be.

An amazing night at Capital Grille! The sliced filet mignon with cipollini onions and wild mushrooms in a fig essence was absolutely delicious, and the Kona crusted bone-in strip truly lived up to its reputation as a house special. The freshly made potato chips with caviar and the creamed corn were standout sides. We also loved the "In Fashion" cocktails--a fun and flavorful twist on the classic Old Fashioned. Everything from the food to the drinks made for a fantastic experience. Highly recommend! And last but not least our server Frog was attentive and knowledgeable.

Amazing experience here! I took my partner out for his birthday dinner. It was both our first time. The restaurant is huge and dimly lit for a romantic ambience. There was a great selection of complimentary bread provided that we enjoyed. We ended up partaking in their generous pour (6 different half full glasses of wine each) that they were offering. It was fun trying the different wines for the experience. They had a soft shell crab appetizer special for the night which we ordered along with the Filet Mignon and Seared Citrus-Glazed Salmon with a side of Roasted Wild Mushrooms. Everything was seasoned well and so delicious. The salmon was simple but tasted amazing, the filet was cooked perfectly to my medium well liking, and the mushrooms were plentiful. They also brought out a complimentary birthday dessert which consisted of 2 mini crème brûlée cheesecakes on a plate with fruit and whipped cream. I think normally it's one of the cheesecakes and a chocolate cake but they accommodated our non chocolate taste. I've heard so many great reviews about this place and I'm so glad we finally came to experience it. Service all around was great, food & wine were spectacular, and ambience was perfect for our night. A pricey restaurant but so worth it for a special occasion!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with checking out all the new trendy restaurants that Baltimore and other cities have to offer. BUT, if you want a no brainer, full proof, no doubt you're going to leave thrilled dining experience, then The Capital Grille it is! The GF loves Ouzo Bay, which is always a treat, however, I was in the mood for a juicy steak. It wasn't hard convincing her on Capital Grille since she's also a steak eater, so Uber driver, take us to Capital Grille please! Our food and service was impeccable as usual, which was topped off with complimentary after dinner shots! This was the perfect outdoor dining experience in Big Bad B'more, and although this was our first time at this location, it definitely won't be our last!

My significant other and I agree that The Capital Grille (TCG) is hands down the most consistent high end restaurant that we can rely on in any major city. When doing a little mini staycation in Baltimore we chose TCG to dine at before our comedy show. As always, service was stellar! Let's Get Into It! Filets were amazing! - Exceeded expectations! Brussel Sprouts - Fantastic! Exceeded expectations! Complimentary bread is always a winner! Complimentary shots a nice touch! Love TCG! Will always keep this in rotation, always a winner for us! Ladies dress up! Ambiance is always date night worthy, with high end vibes!

Ask the Community - The Capital Grille

I made a reservation for 9:30 pm but on google says they close @9:00 does anyone know what time they close or will they be attending us?

Yes they close at 9:00 pm weekdays and Sunday, but they stay open until 10:00 pm only on Fridays and Saturdays.

    Open during Covid? Dine in?

    Yes

    Are there vegetarian options?

You can view their menu on line or just call the restaurant and ask your questions. This is a steak house, but they do offer some seafood items. I am just not sure how they are prepared. I hope this helps a little.

Is there any website we can order pick up or delivery ? Or is it dine- in only?

As far a I know, this is a dine in restaurant. Maybe you should call the restaurant and ask your question.

    Is the restaurant kid friendly?

Yes, we welcome guests of all ages, Gina. If you would like to give us a call, we would be happy…

I see that parking is offered via valet. Is their a self-park option and if not, how much is valet?

The valet parking is free at the Capital Grille.

    What's the dress attire?

I used to work at the capital grille for many years. Rule of thumb is you can never be over dressed. I would rather come in a tuxedo rather than shorts. If you are in doubt, always dress up. If 50 people wear Jean, and 1 person wears dress pants,…

What specials are available during restaurant week?

Hi Chuck, We are offering a $20 Lunch and $35 Dinner special. You can find more detail about our…

We sat there enjoying our drinks, the cheese board, and watching the Blue Angels fly by. Great atmosphere. When we asked for the bill it was $73. Keep in mind, that's for four drinks because everything else was given to us for free. We never asked for the peach drink or the cheese board--he offered them. We paid the bill and left a good tip, but come on...$73 for four basic drinks is crazy. Just be aware if you're stopping in. The drinks are not cheap. Even with the free extras, it didn't feel like a good value.

I went an hour early before everyone else was supposed to be there to get on the waitlist, but the wait was until 10 pm!! So I quickly switched gears and called Benny's because I've heard great things about them. The gentlemen who answered the phone was so kind, and was able to squeeze us in on the fly on a Saturday night, and they weren't slow. Got there super early because I was already in the area, and my wife and I decided to have an old fashioned and an espresso martini at the bar while we waited and they were excellent. The ambiance was upscale but still managed to be relaxed and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner, the waiter was busy but was still attentive and patient. Our whole experience was awesome, so we were already going back in the future. Yesterday I realized a mistake on my bank account from the bar charge, so I called around 6 pm and spoke to the same gentlemen as before. He got all my info and promised he'd call back in 5 minutes. I didn't really expect 5 minutes because I know how crazy the dinner rush would be at an Italian restaurant with a Wednesday wine special. Not even 3 minutes later he called back, and explained what happened, fixed it and I got a follow up text immediately letting us know the refund was already in process. Now, I've been in the service industry and I was a bartender, so I understand that I'm going to be a little biased here but from beginning to end Benny's went above and beyond. They clearly appreciate their customers and love their work, it shows.

This is a SERVICE review:…read more I recently visited Bygone in Baltimore for a friend's birthday celebration, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing--especially as a pregnant guest. First, I shall say that the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL and the skyline is breathtaking. Now, moving on to my experience: I looked over the menu hoping to find something I could safely eat, but very few options were appetizing to me. The crab dip sounded like something I could enjoy, so I asked the bar waiter if it could be prepared without the alcohol. I was told that it could not because it was premade. Once our party was seated, I ended up eating bread and butter. Later, my friend ordered the mac and cheese and encouraged me to try it. Because I'm pregnant, I asked our waitress a very specific question: Was the cheese used in the dish pasteurized? She said she would check with the kitchen. About 10 minutes passed, and I eventually had to flag her down. She came back and told me the cheese was "fresh." I explained that "fresh" was not what I had asked and repeated my question. She then said she would speak with the chef. While waiting, I was hungry and tasted some of the cheese sauce. The chef eventually came out with the waitress and told me that the cheese was safe. I clarified again: "I'm pregnant. I can only have pasteurized cheese. Is this cheese pasteurized?" His response was essentially, "No, but it's fresh and safe." At that point, I was honestly mortified and extremely uncomfortable. I had to excuse myself from the table because I was so upset. This was not about being difficult or expecting the restaurant to create an entirely new menu for me. I simply wanted a clear and accurate answer about whether something contained pasteurized cheese so I could make an informed decision about what to eat. My friend advocated for me and explained to management that the menu felt particularly limiting for someone who is pregnant. Benjamin, the manager, came over and spoke with us. He explained that many of the menu items contain some form of alcohol or non-pasteurized/aged cheese. He did try to accommodate me by offering a well-done salmon with salt and pepper and summer beans or red meat with no sauce, which I appreciate; however, it was quite late and those options did not feel appetizing for me. He also gave us his card and told me that I could come back in the future and order whatever I wanted since I did not make a choice. I do appreciate Benjamin taking the time to come speak with us and trying to find an alternative. However, the interaction with the waitress and chef left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable during what was supposed to be a celebration for my friend. For me, the biggest issue was not that the restaurant didn't have many options I could eat--it was that my very specific food-safety question was not answered clearly or accurately when I asked it multiple times. If a pregnant guest asks whether a cheese is pasteurized, "fresh" is not an answer to that question. I hope Bygone takes this as an opportunity to better educate staff on how to handle dietary and food-safety questions, particularly from pregnant guests. I would have been much more understanding if someone had simply said, "Let me verify that with the chef," and returned with a clear answer. I appreciate the manager's effort to make things right, but unfortunately, the experience still left an unpleasant impression on me.

Much to our dismay, we saw people seated outside even though we had received a text before arriving saying the patio was closed for the evening. To add insult to injury, even half empty, the noise level was so uncomfortable since everything was tile, marble, or wood that the alarm sensor on my smart watch sounded because of the decibel level. We will not be back.
