Stopped here on our way out of Boston. I always love a good Cheesecake Factory because they have such a large menu that everyone can get whatever they want. They also have lots of seating and big tables for big groups. The portions are also large and you typically get to take some home. I got a chicken, pasta dish and it was really great. My review is going to be specific and particular. Of course, the ambience at the cheesecake factory is great. Nothing brings me more joy than sitting there being served like a God or looking at the face of a pharaoh on a big pillar. The place is decorated and I don't feel good there because I don't live that fancy but when I'm there I feel fancy and I eat like I'm fancy and I really appreciate the whole fanciness to the place. But more importantly, my wife really likes the cheesecake and that's why we go there. Until we met Devon the server I don't know if it's DEVON or DEVIN but she's a great lady. She made the whole thing fun actually. Remember when a waitress used to make a bad place fun? That's kind of how she is. It's fun. It's like seeing your friend. Recently I found out she's a waitress at other places not because I'm a creep when I track her down like a psychopath, but just because we bumped into Her and you know what I wish there were more gals like her. I had sworn off the Cheesecake Factory after going 3 for 3 with terrible experiences at the branch in Gainesville, FL. I was convinced I would never go again because I had already given it too many chances. One night, with friends visiting from out of town who swear by it, I reluctantly agreed to return to the Cheesecake Factory at the Northshore Mall. We were able to get a table without much of a wait on a weekday night. The decor inside was a carbon copy of every other one of their chain restaurants: Las Vegas casino mixed with knock-off Egyptian pyramid chic. We each ordered an entrée, me with assistance from the two experts at my table, as the menu makes most dictionaries look like novellas. I finally settled on the Italian sausage and fresh mushroom rigatoni, which included pancetta, broccoli, a big dollop of ricotta cheese, and parmesan cheese sprinkled over the top. As much as I was determined to hate it, given prior experiences, the dish was actually quite good. The rigatoni had a firmness to it that matched the al dente broccoli. Once the ricotta cheese was mixed throughout, it gave the whole dish a creamy texture that balanced well with the slightly spicy Italian sausage. It was a good portion size for the price. My two compadres enjoyed their meals, of course, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Does this signal a slow return to glory for my once mortal food enemy? It's too early to tell at this time but I would consider returning to this Cheesecake Factory location again. read more

Our server wasn't around much. I ordered a chicken caeser salad. Took a real long time to get our food. Most people would have considered the salad overdressed. I myself don't mind a ton of dressing. Especially since the dressing is good. Had a hint of anchovie but not too strong. The chicken that came with it was room temperature. It seemed like it was cooked 2 days ago and pulled out and left at room temperature all day. The chicken wasn't chilled or the least bit hot. Heck it wasn't even what I would call warm. Was very dry chicken. It was seasoned well and tasted good. Just wished they bothered to cook chicken to order. Got some cheesecake to go and ate that later at home. Was very good. So the food could be way better just by cooking it to order but they choose to serve this way. I'd probably consider coming back some time but as the food is mediocre, likely I'll just come when I feel like a piece of cheesecake again in a couple of years. read more

I found it to be a good meal. The menu had a lot of variety and not as traditional as other restaurants. I had two appetizers consisted of fried calamari and a salad with brown rice with mushrooms and edamame. Topped it off with traditional cheesecake with strawberries and whipped cream. I've been here many times and it's the perfect place for groups because there's many options. The menu is massive, a bit overwhelming honestly. The food is very hit or miss. It's usually good the sweet corn tamales are to die for. The pastas are good and the tacos are good. Sometimes the food does feel a bit bland or frozen. The staff is very friendly always. The shrimp was over breaded and probably double fried, super greasy. For my entree I tried the Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta which was new to me, I usually stick to my same 3 favorites but wanted to try something new. It was alright, I liked that there were a lot of veggies in it but there were only about 5 small pieces of chicken in it. I tried the Tropical Ginger Cooler which was amazing, definitely one of my favorite drinks ever. DYNAMITE SHRIMP: 2/5 SPICY CHICKEN CHIPOTLE PASTA: 2/5 TROPICAL GINGER COOLER: 5/5 I would stick with the Parmesan-Herb Crusted Chicken, Thai Glazed Salmon (which I think is off the menu atm), or Steak Diane in the future for entrees, and Pot Stickers, Thai Lettuce Wraps, or Factory Nachos for appetizers. Consistently the best. I don't like how The Cheesecake Factory has a huge menu and they seem to take good choices off and replace with mediocre options. Once we got seated, our waitress was quick to provide us drinks and give us the menus. As always we enjoyed the breads that are provided. My mom ordered the shepherds pie while I had the spicy chicken chipotle pasta. The shepherds pie consisted of more ground meat then I did mashed potatoes. I thought that my pasta could've definitely been spicier but it did do the job of satisfying my needs. For dessert, we opted for the dulce de leche cheesecake since they were out of the Reese cheesecake. I liked the crust and cheesecake but the sweetness from the sauce was overwhelming 4 bites in. It was an OK dinner, not great but not bad either. They said it was a 10-15 minute wait for 2 but it ended up being almost 30 minutes. Plenty of cleared tables but probably not enough staff for them all. I've been to The Cheesecake Factory is probably 3-4 times in other places and they all seem about the same overall. I had the fish tacos and they were pretty good but they forgot one of the sides. My wife had the pepperoni flatbread pizza and it was supposed to come with hot honey but it seemed like a hot spiced oil and no honey at all. Our waiter did bring a couple of honey containers and she was able to make her own but it's sad when you expect so much and get poor food. We'll probably go to another one at some point but it will be a while before we try it again. read more

I went in on Xmas eve for dinner. Arrived around 6:10 pm. There were 2 bartenders and 3 customers at the bar. Two other white couples came in after me. My family and I frequent this location of CF. Always had a decent dinner. Went this past weekend - I ordered the asian chicken salad (dressing on the side) and a side of mac and cheese. Ordered a tonic water to.Server gave me soda water instead. Server took my glad and brought back the same glass (looked like the soda water was dumped out) and tonic put in and only filled 3/4 of the way up. Then the server brought me a side of dressing in the little metal dressing boat. Shortly after that our food was brought by several servers. My salad came with the dressing boat on top of my salad, YUK, not only that but each server serving us had their fingers inside the bowl/plate. Thought that was disgusting and so unhygienic. About 45 minutes after we left and headed home, I started feeling really sick... really sick, ALL NIGHT... Food poisoning for sure and from that food. Somewhere down the line my food was contaminated. I called the manager the next day and she was apologetic and said that alot of times if "its a busy Sat nite, the servers get lazy and what they did is a "no no" but that she would send us a gift card, which I was not looking for... Well, I just rec a letter from the manager saying that all their protocol was followed and it was not their food, as no other complaints were made, (that they know of)... that all their servers know what to do... Usually try and get something different every time I go, the four cheese pasta is amazing with added chicken, the Louisiana chicken pasta is out of this world! The burgers and sandwiches are very good as well! The appetizers that you mush try is zucchini sticks and mac and cheese balls amazing!
