I am writing to report a very disappointing experience after dining at your Cheesecake Factory location today. We came in for lunch and spent over $60 for salad. When I got home, I realized I had forgotten to redeem the free slice of cheesecake offer with my purchase. I had my receipt as proof and called the restaurant to ask if they could still honor it. I spoke with Trey, who identified himself as the manager. Instead of trying to help or politely explain the policy, he was very rude, short, and dismissive. He told me he would not honor the free slice and that I would have to take it up with corporate. His tone was nasty, and he hung up on me. I understand if there are rules about promotions, but the way I was spoken to was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Took one my little sister here to celebrate her coming home. Lindsey was a fantastic server who took care of our every need. We had a leisurely lunch, and private time to talk. Updating this review since it's been a while. I still love The Cheesecake Factory. We just went here for my husband's bday in August, & came back for my bday. They give you a free cheesecake for your bday. You can't go wrong on their cheesecake. We ALWAYS get the same thing. I know their menu is pretty big, but Chicken Madeira. Aka their version of Chicken Marsala never ever disappoints. We ask for the brown bread. It tastes so good and warm and is simply addicting. We split the chicken madeira. The size of the plate is definitely splittable and we appreciate that tons. Also extra sauce on the side is a must so we can have all the goodness. This is the best. They don't split the plates here so we do it ourself. It's no big deal but I thought they use to. No biggie. Now for the cheesecake, that's where I try to change it up. This time I got the triple berry. It's good, but i wish it was more berry flavor. It is a mix of some berry flavor, white cake with a tinge of Lemon flavor, and more plain cheesecake. I want lots of berry flavor. My husband, for his bday always gets the Very Cherry Ghirardelli Chocolate Cheesecake. We love this one. It's so good, but I always want to try something different. I eyed the mango lime cheesecake and coconut pie cheesecake and pineapple upside down cake cheesecake which I may have had that one in Sarasota. Service here is always great! My friend and I stopped by today for a late lunch. It was around 3:00pm. We were seated immediately due to it not being busy. The food and drinks were superb but our waiter was very rushed. We were confused because it wasn't busy. The feeling of being rushed is what made me give my visit 3 stars and not tipping him very well. My Dad is a huge lover of cheesecake so naturally he LOVES The Cheesecake Factory. Honestly, I think he would be okay even if we didn't order actual food and just ordered one or two pieces of cheesecake. LOL. His only problem is going through the large menu options of different cheesecakes. It is not only just the cheesecake menu that is extensive, their food menu is as well. I think they could cut some of it down to be honest as it's sometimes overwhelming to go through all the pages. Terrible experience. Waitress was very nice, nothing was her fault. We had a party of 7. They told us an hour wait. It took closer to two hours. Took forever to place our order. Bread was stale. After almost forty minutes, we managed to find our waiter who went to check. Another few minutes and a manager came to explain they "burned my food" and it would be recooked and just a bit longer. I made a reservation for dinner for my family with grown kids and 2 grandkids. We were promptly seated and menus placed on the table. They have a few menus to choose from and all are pretty expansive. We started with bar drinks that were delivered very quickly. Then we started with a few appetizers. The Chicken pot stickers looked over cooked but they were delicious. The dipping sauce had a great flavor. The hot Spinach and Cheese with tortilla chips wad a very generous portion for all to share. Even the kids loved it. I ordered the Chicken Shwarma Pitas which was a very big portion. Not sure how they expect one person to eat all that food. Everything was so fresh and enjoyed my leftovers the next day for lunch. My husband and DIL ordered the Tomato Basil Pasta with grilled chicken. They both loved it and for being on their lighter menu, they both said the portion size was perfect. My son had the Cuban Sandwich and the bread was not true Cuban but it was very good and almost 15 inches of bread and meat. Definitely a sharable entree. Since we were celebrating my grand daughter's birthday, we ordered the Birthday Cake Cheesecake for dessert and our wonderful server comped out the slice which was share with my grandson so he didn't feel left out. The S'mores Cheesecake was really good and it too was shared with the table since it was such a big slice slice. Definitely better than I expected. I haven't been here in a while. This time we brought our 4 and 7 year old. The bread is delicious as always. Randomly, my one son loved the sourdough bread the best, even though I always think the brown bread is where it's at. I appreciate that they have a skinny menu. I got the avocado and beet salad and it was delicious. Usually my kids don't eat a lot of their food so I end up eating theirs. I also got a skinny margarita and that was too sweet. Our server, Charles B, was fantastic. He took our drink orders immediately & served them quickly. And our appetizers came out fast, too. However, our entrees took quite a long time. We were chatting though, and the restaurant was very busy, and we weren't in a hurry. We ordered several appetizers: - The Crab Cake Bites were excellent, but the serving seemed small with only six bites. And you know The Cheesecake Factory is usually over-generous with portion sizes. They were tasty, though! - The Avocado Eggrolls were good but also skimpy. - My brother-in-law ordered wings that initially were not served correctly, and the replacement wings were also wrong. Seems like wings shouldn't be on the menu here. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles Benedict and it wasn't great. The poached eggs were well-done & not runny... Not sure if that was intentional, but my plate was also light on the Hollandaise sauce, so the whole thing was rather dry. Plus the potatoes were just ok. I expect a benedict to be juicy & messy, and this was not. Not sure I'd try ordering this again. The location is fantastic & service is excellent. As I mentioned, I haven't been here in a while, and I'm honestly not compelled to return soon after this meal. Really wish they had a way of doing reservations. Came in with a party of 5 including a little baby ... they took our name down and number... we never received the text. Had to check in with them again to see if our table was ready... they told us yes & sat us in thr bar. Our server was very friendly but seemed to have forgotten our table. I haven't had pumpkin cheesecake this year and Barnes and Noble only carries it in October so I decided to make the trek to Cheesecake Factory. I went to International Plaza since I just went onto Brandon. I got parking and was shocked that it was so busy.I only got dessert here since I knew I'd be eating elsewhere. The decor is nice,but similar to others. I have not been to CF in 10 years ,but it hasn't changed that much. It is quite busy even at 5:30 pm. While it boasts a very wide array of dishes, I feel that they are mostly solid and not wow. "Jack of all trades,master of none" I got the Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake and Godiva Chocolate. Both were $11 each. Cheesecake slices are generally between $10-$12 currently. Pumpkin Pecan - Solid but the spices were very minimal and it tasted subdued. The pecan crust was yummy making it a hybrid of cheesecake and pecan pie. 7/10 Godiva Chocolate - Very rich and decadent. Not super sweet but with a strong chocolate flavor. Must have for chocolate fans. 8.5/10 Despite the bustle, my server was very prompt and brought my food/bill/to go container. It is worth it for an occasional trip. read more

When he came over he was very unpersonable. He just asked what we wanted to order. Didn't say much more than that. The food was good, other than the carne asada, this came out and there was more rice and corn than steak. This was super disappointing. Our drinks continued to stay empty and we would have to keep flagging our waiter down to get more drinks. This is a big, lively location that's always busy since it's connected to the International Mall, but the staff is consistently nice, attentive, and on top of everything. I love coming here because there are so many menu options, and I like trying something different each visit. One of my favorites is the lettuce wraps -- so yummy! I also love starting with their assortment of breads and always ask for a little balsamic vinegar to dip the bread in, which makes it even better. The secret of happy hour: sit in the bar section. We were not aware of this when seated and then told that the bar section could not seat us when asking to go there so we could get the happy hour discounts- very odd and disappointing for any restaurant to do this and the true downfall of our experience. We got the Korean cauliflower, Thai lettuce wraps with grilled avocado, and chicken taquitos. Although the food was good, they only gave us 3 pieces of lettuce for a large order. Luckily, our waitress was good and rectified this mistake immediately. Also, the bottom of cauliflower was mainly small pieces of fried batter. The cheesecake we took home was good- but that's to be expected here. Today was one of my family's worst experiences here, and on my daughter's 13th birthday. It took 20 minutes to get our strawberry lemonades, the waitress said something about waiting for it to get sweet. I make their avocado toast at home and it takes 10 mins. My son's tenders had a fried hair hanging off of one along with a white long hair or something. The waitress said it was a corn silk....so y'all shucking corn in the kitchen, doubt it. My Cuban sandwich was nasty. I took one bite and spit it out on the plate and sent it back. The cook needs to go to La Jefas and see how to make a real Cuban sandwich. The pork was horrible, tasted like sone frozen processed meat they put in a microwave wave. The metal cup my fries were in had all kinds of dried up, looked like mayo and mustard smeared all on the outside. My husband had the nachos, shaking my head, they nachos were dog gone burnt. I was very very disappointed. $111 and some change plus $20 tip.... definitely was not worth it. I sent my sandwich back, and my family i showed the waitress the hair....my husband told my to just let everything else go because the event was already messed up. I will never go there again, which is sad because these is where my kids like to go for their birthdays. I absolutely loved how it looked, inside and out. It reminded me of a museum more than a restaurant. However... THERE WAS A BIRD IN THE RESTAURANT!!!! Flying around the ceiling, above where my family and other guests were sitting, was a crow. Flying. In the dining room. The wings thems were a little too hard on the outside, but were still good. The ranch for the celery was incredibly bland. The calamari was good and not chewy, had plenty of flavor. My parents had crab dip as well, which they seemed to like. I ordered the Classic Cheeseburger. 3/5. It was too big for my mouth, so I had to constantly strain to eat it. It was also a tad too charred for my liking. My mom ordered the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta. 4/5. She would've like it to be a little less spicy, but it was fine other than that. My dad ordered the Orange Chicken with Rice. 2.5/5. He doesn't like how the dish looked, and something tasted burnt to him. As an ex-chef, he has a bit more of a refined palette, though, so it might just be his experience as a chef shining through. The Cheesecake Factory - Extremely Disappointing & Unacceptable Service My family and I just flew into Tampa for the weekend and chose The Cheesecake Factory to kick off a family member's birthday celebration before meeting the rest of our relatives. Unfortunately, what should have been a joyful and relaxing start to our trip turned into an uncomfortable and upsetting experience due entirely to our server, Amber. From the very beginning, Amber displayed a poor attitude. When my cousin politely asked for light ice in her water while Amber was already walking toward another table, Amber responded in an extremely rude and dismissive tone, saying, "Well, I'm already at another table. You will have to wait." The response was unnecessary and unprofessional. At that point, I already felt uncomfortable and considered leaving, as I do not tolerate disrespect from anyone handling my food. My cousins encouraged us to stay and let it go, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, the behavior escalated. As Amber brought the bread to our table, my cousin calmly asked if we could have more brown bread. Amber then slammed the bread basket onto the table, creating a scene so noticeable that other guests turned around to look. The action was shocking, aggressive, and completely inappropriate for someone in a customer-facing role. At that point, I spoke up and asked her what her problem was. She responded in a nonchalant and rude manner, showing zero accountability, zero professionalism, and a complete lack of customer service skills. We had done nothing but sit down and politely make basic requests, yet we were met with open hostility. Her behavior made our entire party feel unwelcome, disrespected, and uncomfortable. We immediately got up and asked to speak with a manager. We spoke with Lauren, who was kind and apologetic, but unfortunately unable to resolve the situation in a meaningful way. The proposed solution was to move us from outside seating to inside and "start over" with a new server. At that point, the experience was already ruined. The final offer made was a slice of cheesecake, which did not come close to addressing the disrespect we experienced. We chose to leave and instead went next door to Rocco's Tacos, where we were treated with warmth, professionalism, and appreciation--exactly how guests should be treated. After leaving, I took the time to read other reviews and was disappointed--but not surprised--to see that this was not Amber's first complaint, including a negative review mentioning her just a week prior. That is deeply concerning. An employee who repeatedly creates uncomfortable situations for guests is actively damaging your brand. While Lauren assured me that the issue would be addressed, the fact that similar complaints continue suggests that this behavior is being tolerated. If an employee continues to act this way despite prior complaints, it sends the message that there are no real consequences. I also cannot ignore the level of hostility shown toward us, which raised serious concerns. It genuinely made me question whether race played a role--something that is troubling and unacceptable in any establishment. This experience was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and completely avoidable. I strongly urge management to take a closer look at this situation before more customers walk away feeling the same way we did. Extremely disappointed. read more
