I am puppy sitting in OB this weekend so I decided to stop by here for breakfast. This is a very small place, seating is at a premium. I was getting annoyed watching people standing around looking for a table while people seated were finished eating and just sitting around playing on their phones. I ordered the breakfast burrito which so thought was average, however their salsa really added a nice kick to it. The girl at the register was very friendly and made a few suggestions to me. She was clearly very busy, but still made time to help me make a decision and she kept a smile on her face the entire time. I already had coffee, but saw a few people had coffee made for them. Every cup looked amazing, it made me wish I ordered some. The open faced bagel sandwich looked amazing as well, I try to avoid bread, but bagged seeing it, really wish I ordered it. I recommend trying this place out. They have a parking lot in the back that was full when I drove through. There is street parking as well, but this close to the ocean, be ready for parking to be tough. Also. As I mentioned earlier, finding a table maybe an issue as well. read more

A perfect place to grab a quick, healthful (or not) breakfast or snack. Chia pudding, oatmeal, or a hot breakfast--everything looked absolutely delicious. My oatmeal was huge and perfectly prepared; my oat milk latte was also fabulous. Best of all, the woman behind the counter was sweet and unflappably efficient, even on a busy Saturday morning. We were craving some breakfast bagels and coffee and luckily stumbled across this place with the help of our fellow Yelpers. We ordered The Cliffs Breakfast Sandwich topped with hashbrowns in an Everything bagel. This sandwich was very delicious and savory. Our intial bite had us hooked! We did not even notice that they had forgotten the hashbrown topping, at first. They fixed us up a side of hashbrowns once we let them know that we were missing them and we added them to our bagel. The second bite with the hashbrowns was just as good! You definitely cannot go wrong with this sandwich with or without the hashbrowns. We also tried a stack of French Toast Pancakes. These were the best of both worlds if you cannot decide between pancakes or french toast! They tasted exactly like french toast but in pancake form! Topped off with some powdered sugar, we did not need to use the butter or drown them in syrup. Having both the bagel and pancakes was a perfect blend of savory and sweet. For drinks, we had the Espresso Dulce and an orange juice. Both the espresso and juice were great compliments to our meal. This cafe is truly a hidden gem that we are glad we found and tried. The inside can be a bit tight especially during the morning rush. There are a few seats outside, as well. There is adequate parking on the street and in the rear. This place is one of my favorite breakfast spots in OB. The woman that owns it is an absolute gem. Always professional, friendly and personable. Their food is very affordable and delicious. Their veggie breakfast burrito is my go to. Their homemade salsa is out of this world and always fresh! And their smoothies and shakes are all uniquely delicious. Not to mention, the inside is SO cute. Although it is tiny, it's inviting and cozy and there is some outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend trying this place out! The food was delicious! I got the strawberry French toast combo and a caramel macchiato with coconut milk. It is a bit pricey and the location is small so seating and lines are in the way. Anytime I am in Ocean beach I always come here and it's a true hidden gem! My go to is the ham scramble sandwich on a croissant with avocado. Friendly employees, cute cozy atmosphere and outdoor seating! So close to the beach too, will definitely be coming back with friends for breakfast and a walk! read more

We had breakfast here and everything we tried was divine. Try the French toast or the pancakes... combo versions come with sides that are as good as the main dish. The eggs... mmmmm. Communication is great, super friendly people. There is a chill vibe and people of all styles seem to be regulars here. I LOVE this little neighborhood gem. The woman usually manning the counter (I think owner not positive) is so friendly and helpful. She's great with suggestions questions and just incredibly warm and welcoming. It's great, because not only do they have lots of wonderful coffee options, but they have perfect diversity on their food menu in my opinion. They've got really great healthy options, they've got great sweet options like their fabulous açai bowls and smoothies. They've got great hearty and savory options with a bomb breakfast burrito and some great breakfast sandwiches. it's really got something great for whatever mood you were in! Which also makes it a great place to go with friends or take the kids because everyone will be happy. It's a cozy spot that is unpretentious and comfortable. A real neighborhood fave. The food was great! I had the avocado toast, and it was perfect. It is an order at the counter and wait for your food to be brought out to the counter kind of place. Everything is packed to go, but you are able to eat in or at a table outside The location was great, but the local crowd was so loud and took up half the space for the entire time we were there all after they were done. I had breakfast here in the form of a breakfast burrito. I really liked the staff working at this place because they were quite nice and the make some delicious coffee. The burrito was good, but could of and should of been much better because the scrambled eggs mix with the bacon and green chiles were great, but they were over shadowed by the giant pieces of potatoes they put inside the burrito. If I would of know, I would of axed them during my order, after all, I did not order a potato burrito which was what this tasted and felt like. It was to bad too because of the little eggs, bacon, and chiles that I tasted, were they were good. These components should of been the star, not the potatoes. At the very least, they need to cut down om the potatoes 50% and cut them into smaller pieces. These were just to large for a breakfast burrito. Hey Yelpers! This cafe is a cute little spot on the main road leading to the cliffs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lady at the register was the sweetest and very helpful. Wait time was pretty good, especially since it was busy. We came for breakfast and got The Cliffs sandwhich, Tropical Blast açaí bowl, and honey cinnamon iced coffee. The Cliffs Sandwich: Prices were decent. I did not like that the breakfast sandwich did not include hash browns. To add hash browns it was extra, we also added avocado. The sandwich was something that we could've made at home. It was good, but nothing special about it. Maybe a little sauce would've amped it up some. Tropical Blast Açaí Bowl: Price was decent. I actually like the açaí bowl, I would have loved it if there was a little more fruit on top to match the açaí at the bottom. Honey Cinnamon Iced Coffee: It was good, I truly feel I could've made this in my home kitchen. Still was good though! We are so lucky to have this place within walking distance from our home. There has been many mornings where I wake up hungry and neither of us want to cook breakfast so we call up the Cliffs cafe to place an order. By the time we put on clothes and walk over it's ready. They have some great breakfast bagel sandwiches and the Mexican Mocha is my favorite coffee order. This is the kind of local cafe vital for the community. And I'm not saying that from my own hungry stomach. When you walk in there's uplifting music and the sweetest gal taking your order. On the wall you can see where the locals hang up their mug. Had the Greek goddess bagel. Beautiful presentation but was pretty bland other than garlic feta spread. The avocado, tomato and even the generic Swiss cheese slice tasted like nothing. Would have been better with some seasoning/ salt. The orange juice tasted off / cheap. I saw another table had a beautiful looking açaí bowl. Wish I'd ordered that instead. The girl that works at the front is very rude. I asked her to cut my bagel in half. It should take less than 2 second, she said we can't because its busy. I asked her again nicely and I told her plz. When we got there it was packed and the cafe is really small. We almost left. I am so happy we didn't. The young lady working the register smiled at every guest. The line was nonstop and every person that walked it from the time we got there to the time we left was greeted with a smile. I got the avocado toast with all the add-ons.
