Holiday weekend, expected waiting no matter where you go surprised even w line out the door one morning, maybe 15 min from line to receiving order. Staff friendly and helpful. Bring some cash to tip! Whilst perambulating the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, I fancied a hot coffee on a brisk & breezy late December day and decided to visit the Coffee Mill. Unusually, we were the only ones there and were waited upon almost immediately. I had difficulty choosing because I was distracted by the extensive tattoos on the throat of the young man taking our order who was pleasant enough, although a bit challenging to understand. I ended up getting a large hot chai and avacado toast with salmon and egg, pictures of which I'll post. The woman who prepared the food and drink behind the counter was most jolly and accommodating. My toast was delicious as was the chai (which I likely ordered instead of coffee because the throat tats disrupted my memory). Everything was delicious. The prices aren't cheap, but I can only imagine what they're being charged for rent. Being uncrowded, it was easy to find a seat indoors, however inside seating is rather limited. One can order to go, and there are several tables outside the Coffee Mill. I would recommend for a quick beverage and snack, but it's be costly to feed a hungry family there. Enjoy! read more

This is by far, our favorite coffee spot at the beach. Fresh, organic, anything you could want. So many coffees, so little time. A quaint shop with wonderful warm and friendly atmosphere. Charming. Busy place, but always made to feel at home. Outside tables for those warm, sunny beach days. They even have random musicians, for just an AHHHHH moment! With all that is going on in the world right now, with social distancing, I have started to order online. My favorite coffees delivered to my home. Bugs bugs bugs . Went here because we didn't feel like turning our car around on our way home. This has the potential to be super cute and fun loving. I ordered coffee and really wanted food but when I took a closer look I noticed all the food was covered in flies and bugs. This ruined my morning. This cute little shop in a tiny alley way off of Rehoboth Ave has ruined me. I guess you could call me #basic, bc once pumpkin spice season rolls around I'm at Starbucks almost daily for my fix. While shopping along the Ave the other day, it was chilly and the smell of coffee brewing was so inviting I had to check it out. I walked in, and the charming and friendly owner won me over immediately w his knowledge and funny stories. I got the pumpkin latte and it is by far the best I have ever had. It tasted like scoops of fresh pumpkin had been brewed right into the coffee. I was only in town for a few days but I went back twice more before I left and even brought one back home. I'm heading back this weekend and am def stopping in before I head home. Starbucks PSLs will never be the same after trying out this hidden gem. read more

The older gentleman running the register was so rude to everybody, snapping at employees and customers alike. At one point he shouted ARE YOU READY??? To a woman looking at the menu. He was short with me while he was taking my order and then proceeded to give his staff a dressing down within earshot of me and my family, discussing my order. I started to ask him about add-ins and he cut me off and pointed at the self serve station and said everything was there. But when I got there there was no caramel, so I asked the employee who handed me my drink to drizzle a little bit in it, the female employee graciously said no problem. I was getting ready to walk out the door and I could hear him snapping at her saying that she should have charged me, which is fine, but I think if you're going to coach your employees you should do it quietly and gently. I then walked over and handed the dollar over so the employee wouldn't get in trouble. It was very tacky on his part. If you're this frustrated with the customers supporting your business and the staff running it for you, hire a manager to run your team and stay out of your store. read more

My first trip to The Coffee Mill and I was pretty disappointed. 1 - My daughter and I ordered separately and we each ordered a bagel and a pastry. Her bagel came up maybe 5 minutes after her coffee, but no pastry. My bagel came up a few minutes later, but no pastry. I mentioned the pastries, she asked someone else who replied "Uh, we're making coffees!" So we ate our bagels and watched the window the whole time, waiting for my lost pastries. Annoying. They never showed up. 2 - My bagel was supposed to be a honey wheat bagel toasted, with butter and veggie cream cheese. When I opened it, it was butter and actual veggies. Tomatoes onions cukes and spinach. I have no receipt to see why the error buutt... 3 - We finished our bagels and I asked if we could take our pastries to go. We're talking 25 minutes now between placing the order, getting our coffees, then the bagels, eating, and still waiting for pastries. It was so strange, like no one knew how to just take a muffin out of the case and what to do with it next. 4 - I ordered a large iced lavender latte with oat milk. I've ordered plenty of these at other places. This one was all wrong. No hint of lavender, not sweet at all, and barely a splash of oatmilk. It was the worst latte I've ever had. 5 - there were fruit flies in the bakery case. So now my beloved muffin is sitting untouched still at 8 pm with regrets. Bummer. read more

Nice small place to grab a light breakfast. They have bagels, muffins, various types of coffee, smoothies, and several other items. I had a smoothie that had kale, banana, and a few other fruits. It was delicious and tasted fresh. Also had a little bit of a blueberry muffin which was moist and on point. There are a few tables outside, and doesn't appear to be much seating inside. Nice people, mediocre coffee. The Coffee Mill is a homey cafe with friendly customer service, but lacks in fine coffee. I sampled a frozen blended coffee, which came out bland tasting, too much milk, and more ice than actual coffee. The overall experience was that of an ice-cold watered down coffee that neither quenched my thirst or gave me the alertness I'd expect from my morning cup of coffee. Perhaps the Coffee Mill doesn't do frozen drinks well or perhaps the coffee used for that batch wasn't fresh, but it left a bad experience, which is a shame, because I loved the cozy set up within the place. I'll try the Coffee Mill sometime in the future in hopes of an improvement, but in the meantime, I can't give it a recommendation. read more
