This is probably my favorite fast food destination. I love the chicken plates and the service is great. I definitely would recommend it

I have been to Committed Pig a few times the first few were when they first opened and I wanted to try it out, now I only go when it is what my friends are cravin, but me on the other hand never crave it. I feel like the food is just so very American. Once you have had a few things, you're bored. I personally do not eat red meat - only chicken, turkey, fish, and duck - and I have a hard time eating here. I love a good salad, but have not had one the satisfies me here. I do like their avocado/garlic grilled cheese when I'm having a cheat day and I'm out to lunch with my friends, but that is the only thing that comes to mind when I think of CP. read more

My boyfriend and I visited on a weekday evening and it was easy to get seated. Cute place. Menu is limited, mostly burgery things. Service was relatively quick. I had Mr. Beautiful, turkey burger with avocado and eggs. It was perfect and yummy. He had Jersey Shore, blue cheese burger with avocado and buffalo sauce, well done. The done part was fine, he likes his burgers hockey pucked and that's his choice, but he found it way over salty and didn't finish. The sweet potato fries were delicious. This corner area here in summit is always a great location and nice to sit outside in good weather. I liked Committed Burger but not enough variety to go often. An absolutely breathtaking meal every single time. The food comes out almost instantly, no matter how crowded it is. Needless to say this does not suggest that the burgers are pre-made by any stretch, rather the chefs are just super fast. I like to try new things every time I come here. They have a very unique menu... one burger even has Mac n cheese on it (I've had it, and it's delicious!) I honestly do not think there are any negatives about this restaurant! Except maybe that they do not take reservations, but that is their decision. Overall, TOTALLY recommend!!! read more

I've been living in NJ for over a year and been in search of a really good burger. Eureka! I found it. At The Committed Pig in Summit. Rare, juicy perfection in between a soft pillowy bun. Two quarter-pound Pat LaFrieda patties with a perfect blend of hanger steak, brisket and short ribs. Just what the doctor ordered (not really), but what Riley, the hostess/waitress promised when I called to ask if the burgers were actually prepared rare and juicy. Riley was right on the money, and could not have been a more welcoming hostess upon our arrival. She was beyond accommodating, and made the experience even better. The sides were also delicious. The best sweet potato waffle fries I've ever had and fried pickle chips served with a slightly spicy thousand island dressing. Dinner was so good that we decided to push the envelope and go for Sunday brunch. We were not disappointed. Riley greeted us with open arms, and a breakfast bowl and challah French toast served with perfectly crisp bacon could not have been more welcoming. The Committed Pig is obviously committed to serving good, solid comfort food and they are certainly delivering. So what if I have to walk a few extra miles every day. The service has gone way downhill. Used to come almost weekly for brunch and the last 3 times we waited over an hour for food. Servers aren't attentive and we had to wave them down for things. I like this place. Had breakfast here today for the first time. Ample outdoor seating as well. Resturant is decorated nicely and service is good. Food portions were generous and tasty. I like this place. I've been a couple times now with consistent experiences. It's on the small side and it's definitely popular with families, so there is often a wait if you visit during peak weekend times (brunch, lunch). They have a healthy onslaught of breakfast fare, as well as some salads, sandwiches and a plethora of tasty burgers. No Big Kahuna, but still. They offer a kids' menu consisting of things like chicken fingers, grilled cheese, and small burgers, but it is somewhat limited in that regard, so heads up if your kid(s) is(are) a picky eater(s). Overall, the service is friendly and competent, the food comes out quickly and the prices are reasonable for the area. Worth a look if you're in the hood craving a burger, for sure. read more

Went for breakfast/brunch during a weekday. Nice to be there when it's not crowded. Ordered the special: apple strudel pancakes. An apple pie on fluffy pancakes=fantastic. And not the fake compote crap. Came with 3 strips of bacon. Also ordered the basic 3 eggs with bacon, toast and hash browns. I personally would've preferred hash browns in the form of cut up potatoes rather than the frozen hash brown patties that I can get at MCD, but I'm sure I'm in the minority. But yes, nice to have fried potatoes once in awhile. Ordered one coffee which is about two cups for four bucks. No diner price for that! These are definitely not "Cheesecake Factory " sizes as another reviewer stated. Menu is unique. Get something more exciting than what I ordered (eggs, bacon, etc.)! Went here for dinner tonight with my wife, teenaged boy and his friend. Service was fast and attentive but the burgers came out so fast I know they weren't made fresh. They were tasty but lacked any juiciness. I was happy to see the meat came from Pat La Frieda but was disappointed when we all ordered medium and they were all well done. The amount of meat is good but instead of making a thicker burger they put two patties on top of each other. They'd be better off with thicker patties because that way there would be less of a chance for the cook to over cook the burger. I had the steer herder. Over rated. Ordered take out few days ago & didn't get not one napkin, no ketchup packets, & no utensils whatsoever. I mean it's common sense if people are ordering out wether they ask for it or not, you should put these more than common items in the customers bag. This has quickly become one of my favorite go-to breakfast and lunch places. It's perfect for me and my family (yes, they are kid friendly!), as well as lunch with the girls! The breakfast quesadilla is incredible! Packed with scrambled eggs, fontina, ham, gruyere, tomatoes, onions and white cheddar in a whole wheat wrap, it's totally filling. Be prepared to possibly bring some home. And the burgers. Oh, the burgers are so inventive -- burgers served on doughnuts, burgers served with fried eggs, -- so many options! And you can choose from either a regular beef burger or a turkey burger which is a huge win in my book. I fell in love with the baked brie burger. Brie, bacon, and fig preserve, some of my favorite ingredients, sounded a little out there for me on a burger. But it was a heavenly mash up of deliciousness. The fries are so good, and even though I typically order a salad for a side, I was them off the plates of those I am dining with! The service has always been good; nothing too interactive. There's typically a wait during peak times, like lunch or breakfast on weekends. Worth the wait and on a nice day you can walk around Summit while you wait for your buzzer to go off letting you know your table is ready. Came here with a co-worker and really enjoyed it. This is not the place to eat if you are a full vegetarian. I made my own custom sandwich with brie cheese and avocado and fried egg. Oh so good & yummy! Went to their Summit location & ordered their Nutella stuffed French toast. They could of held a bit of Nutella because it was drenched in it. My BF got the Jersey shore burger & that was delicious. 4 stars only because there was a pest of a fly hovering over us that would not leave. This is a nice addition to the summit dining scene. There are about 6-8 booths and then a main dining area. The restaurant is fairly quiet all things considered, but every so often you can hear the silverware clanking from the kitchen. There is no liquor license, but the food is worth it for a lunch or dinner with kids! The basket weave fries are the best, and the breaded cutlet salad was delicious. The meatloaf was not as good as the burgers though - so stick to what they specialize in. read more

I've been here a few times and have gotten one of their Mac and cheese specials along with a burger every time. I can't speak for anything else on the menu, but everything I've gotten has been really good. Today I had one of their burgers from the special menu - double meat with a sweet potato waffle; Brie cheese and melted marshmallow it was delicious! The GM who was really nice came to our table to ask about it since it was the first time they put it on the menu, so I wa sharply to provide the positive feedback. Recently had a meal here with a friend. I will begin by saying that The Committed Pig may have some of the best waffle fries I have ever indulged on. I ordered the classic cheeseburger. The initial comparison I had in mind was a typical backyard bbq burger. This also means that the flavor profile is a bit underseasoned in comparison to something like Johnny Rockets, ShakeShack or Bareburger. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Overall I give The Committed Pig a 4/5 due to its incredible fries and staff. First time here ... the place always seems to be packed so I was curious about the food. Major disappointment; the breakfast was worse than what I've experienced at McDonald's (when I used to eat breakfast at McDonald's years ago). The scrambled eggs were way too well done and nothing fluffy about them, the hash browns were so fried that you could barely see any potato inside and the grease oozed out, in addition, the toast was burned black. I ate about 1/4 of it and couldn't stomach the rest. The waiter was thoughtful enough to ask if I wanted anything on the side to substitute - fruit or avocado - but I'm a eggs and hash brown kinda girl. These substitutes wouldn't hit the spot. Tonight was the first time I tried the Committed Pig in Summit, New Jersey. I have to say from the get-go it was a terrible experience. I ordered the fried pickles and they were salty and the dipping sauce wasn't great. It tasted just like it came out of a big gallon of commercial dressing. The burger that I ordered was the Triple B Burger which was blue cheese, bacon, and balsamic vinegar (I ordered mine medium rare) with a side of waffle fries. The complaint with that the waffle fries were very greasy so I replaced the waffle fries with a side salad. In the meantime I started to eat my burger which was ruined because it was almost fully cooked. Started to eat my salad and back to the kitchen went my burger. My salad was good but the dressing was awful because the flavor was obnoxiously overwhelming . It was a balsamic vinaigrette which was very, very strong. There must have been a mustard added to it because it was hot. Out came my burger and it was medium rare but it was so greasy and salty and the bread became very soggy...I couldn't eat it. I explained to the waiter and manager my complete disappointment. They were wonderful about the whole thing. The manager ended up apologizing over and over for the preparation of the food and my bad experience, she made up for it bye giving me a gift card to the Committed Pig that I will use for breakfast at the Manasquan location. Rylee is the manager and she also supports the wait staff and Wilmer was my waiter....both of them were extremely wonderful, bent over backwards and were very kind. Personally, the only reason I would go back there would be to see the staff but again, the food was a complete disappointment. read more

I went to the Committed Pig late afternoon to meet with a business associate. The ambiance is very welcoming and comfortable, all of the people working there are extemely nice.. the burger was a little bit of a let down compared to everything else. That shouldn't be the let down after all the effort put into everything else. I should say the fries were great and my friend said the Cuban was very good as well. I still definitely want to go back and try the breakfast and other sandwiches. read more
