Get the 48 hour fries!!! My husband and I have eaten here at least 5 times now. I can't believe we didn't have the fries before our 4th visit. We will definitely get them every time now!!! Love the many gluten free options on the menu (including the fries!). We are obsessed with the tuna tartare tostadas, Korean bbq chicken, and now the short rib! I took my wife here tonight for a special birthday dinner. I should have known better when I saw burnt out lightbulbs and heard how loud it was. We ordered drinks then waited 20mins for them to be delivered. The waiter was unfriendly and mildly rude when taking our order (tall guy short hair). I had the potato tacos which were sitting in a pool of grease, the wife had the short rib (no complaints). We got the butter cake to go which didn't come until after we paid the bill. In the bag was a cup of melted ice cream (server didn't tell us was in there), small container of crystallized caramel, and the butter cake itself which was as hard as a rock. After spending over $100 for two you would get a thank you as you walked out the door but even that didn't happen. This place may have been good in the past but they have given up and just don't care anymore. I COULD'NT BE MORE DISAPPOINTED! WHAT A SHAME. read more

My guy and I were at an amazing wine pairing lunch at Somm's Kitchen in Paso and when one of the other patrons found out we lived in OC, they asked if we'd ever been to The Corner. These 'foodies' told us that they come here EVERY single time they visit OC, and we didn't even know about it! The food is excellent with a diverse menu- tho only problem is that I wanted one of everything! My friend got the seared ahi over veggies and I'm totally getting that next time. So, I went here because I heard they had good burgers, I thought it would be a regular bar kind of place. I was wowed, the interior of the place is really cool. I was impressed by the liquor line up and the upscale drinks. Turned out they were amazing. Drinks totally on point! On to the food. I have a lot of experience in culinary and I'm quite picky. Came for the burger however even though there's an impressive menu. We had the burger and 48 hr fries. Both were perfect, the burger a perfect blending of ingredients to make a taste explosion without being overwhelming. The fries a perfect mix of crispy and salty perfection. Homemade ketchup very good. Then on to dessert, we got the lemon crème brûlée. Ok folks I am the biggest crème brûlée snob. It was perfect, the texture perfect the crack of the sugar perfect, topped with a fresh whipped cream . The lemon just the perfect essence of it. I've got to say, I've really been missing out on this place which is literally on the corner so close to us. I will definitely be back to try everything on the menu. Drink menu too. Always great cocktails! The old fashioned is always the go to for my wife and I. Chris is always cranking out a fantastic seasonal menu. Amazing flavor and mouth watering goodness is always flowing out of the kitchen. The short rib is delicious, everything tacos (not on menu) are perfect, the backyard burger is savory, and the halibut (when on the menu) is fantastic. You can't go wrong with the deviled eggs (get a side of Sriracha to go with) as an appetizer or the 48 hour fries. Truthfully, it's all good. Great spot, we go a couple times a month. read more

Jake is the best. Love this spot. Great vibe, great drinks, great food and prices are reasonable for the value of the food. Everything is very tasty you could pick anything on the menu.. however I recommend the braised short rib - either the tacos or the braised short rib meal with mashed potato's. Love the bacon wrapped stuffed dates- I introduced my two friends to them they had never had them before and needless to say we needed to order more ;) Huge fan of the gnocchi Mac and cheese as well.. didn't try it yet but overheard this woman raving about her harvest salad and the butternut squash- grab it while you can it may be a seasonal item. My friend got the steak and it was perfect literally, his girlfriend said it was hands down one of the best steaks she has ever had. We also got the bolognese to share and it was so good. It was super refreshing to be served by Jake, a server who can keep up and knows what's going on and is one step ahead of you, knows the menu and his regulars as well as how to create a drink when you're indecisive.. few servers I trust with drink suggestions but he knows his stuff.. made a yummy New York whiskey sour. What a fun little local spot in Huntington Beach. I loved it because it was away from all of the chaos and madness of downtown, especially during Covid times. This place was definitely busy on a Friday night as any good place would be. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating, and can accommodate even large parties. They are offering indoor seating as well and have a bar area. This is what I tried: Tuna tartare Old fashioned Spicy watermelon margarita Short rib taco Tangerine gimlet Anti oxidant intoxicant My favorite item was the spicy market watermelon margarita. It had such a beautiful blend of flavors, including a Spicy salty taste of Tahin followed by a refreshing watermelon aroma. The short rib tacos were fantastic, great for and hearty flavors with a crunchy shell. I do not recommend the tuna tartare as it did not taste fresh. Decided to try a quick meal here before the basketball game. The ambiance was kind of boring, but as long as the food is good it's ok. We ordered the $16 bowl of chowder to share and the pulled pork tacos. A huge bowl arrived with barely any soup or fish in it. Literally just enough to coat the bottom of the bowl. potatoes were hard. Such a disappointment at that price. Tacos were ok, but not something I'd order again. Service was ok, but sorta robotic. Not sure where to start. The exterior decor is very modern and chic; however, interior is bland. I'm unsure if this is supposed to be a high end or casual restaurant. Their menu is very simple-not much option. Ordered the burger, cheese board, and BBQ chicken. Burger is my favorite. Why the two stars - well for one the cheeseboard - the cheese was stale and old, the corner of the cheese were hard and brittle. Honestly, it sneed everyone on the board came from trader joes or Costco-nothing significant-maybe that's why the price is so reasonable. Two, it took forever for the food to arrive. Our beer came out 20 minutes before the cheeseboard arrived. Worst, they forgot our utensils. But the finale was the BBQ chicken, we waited so long, we even asked to cancel the order; of course, within minutes, they came out with it and said "worry kitchen was done with it". Upon using the lettuce to wrap the chicken, we found dirt (a lot of it) on all of our lettuces; they didn't even wash it. At this point, we lost our appetite. The service was horrible, we had to get up to hustle someone to come over. Not sure if it's because we were sitting outdoor, rather than inside. read more

only writing a review because of the current 3.9 stars when they absolutely deserve at least a 4.5. we came here one night when we had to wait for sushi at the spot in the lot and now crave this place regularly. I think we've tried most if not all the appetizers including the 48 hour fries, chips and dip, deviled eggs, tuna tartare, tostadas, and bacon wrap dates. The dates while a common place that many restaurants are so good here for really what stands out is the deviled eggs with the crab. When it comes to entrées, we order the halibut every time, the celeriac purée is so good it will have you licking the plate. Desserts and drinks are also incredible here just truly can't go wrong read more

Finally made it here and at first, we thought it was closed, the parking lot was empty. This was around 2 o'clock on a Saturday, so perhaps we missed the lunch crowd. While we really enjoyed the food and the service, it would be nice if they could make the main dining room and bathroom more pleasant. I felt like we were in a garage. We also had the deviled eggs and braised short rib tacos. Everything was really good, especially my braised short ribs. The only thing that I think could be better is the ambiance. The front area is just sad and it just doesn't have an inviting vibe. Otherwise, great food, lively with top notch service. Oh and the best thing about it...no corkage fee! Nice neighborhood Restaurant. I've seen it for years but when I decided to try it a while back COVID-19 said NO. Got a chance to stop in with some friends today and I was pleasantly surprised. The Menu could be considered on the pricey side but as with anything you get what you are willing to pay for. I have a Steak and Loaded Potato with a Bouillonies sauce. It was good. Not mind blowing or over the top but good. Service was great but limited by the sheer number of people inside so there was a bit of a wait. My favorite was the Gnocchi Max and Cheese. I would go back today for that as well as the Artichoke Dip served with fresh baked Bread. read more

Had the chance to stop back by this gem of a place again! Chad was our waiter and he was super nice and attentive to helping us and spacing out our large order so the food comes out hot and fresh. We tried a the Bolognese yesterday and the pasta was super fresh. The portion was hearty and the food came out delish! We also tried the brown sugar cake. It was a more dense and dry cake, we thought it'd be more moist, but with the ice cream on top that melted in to soften it was better. I hope they can add another dessert to their menu since there's only two options right now. They craft their drinks to seasons which I love and offer a wide range to choose from.
