The Crab Pot is one of those must do's when your in Seattle especially when you're down on the water. There's a ton of awesome things to see and do on the boardwalk, the aquarium, Farris wheel, The Ferries, souvenir shops, Pike's Place, so much to list. This time around I wasn't impressed with the The Westport and The Royal, the two feasts we ordered. The seafood was dry, very little shell fish but plenty of shrimp and potatoes. Lobster claws were dry as well. Definitely not enough for four people so my husband had to pick up some cheese burgers on the way home. Such a bummer but nonetheless we made the best of it and enjoyed the nice atmosphere and dinner with our girls. It was a super hot day and what a relief it was that our lovely waiter was very attentive to refilling our water glasses when needed. There's usually a wait for a table but this time we got seated right away. Staff is friendly enough and all in good moods which is nice. Be aware that parking on the street is a nightmare and traffic is atrocious so bring an extra dose of patience. Sundays and holidays street parking is free. We found a great parking spot in a public parking lot, pay-to-park and would be charged over $100 for 2 hours, we chose to drive around until "free" street parking came up. It was a great choice as we ended up finding a great spot in the shade only two blocks from boardwalk and it saved us a ton of money. Not my favorite place for seafood but it's nostalgic so we will surely come back again.
Tourist trap. $100 will get you 3 small king crab legs with potatoes and corn. Not a very attentive wait staff. Friendly, but not attentive. And I think the calamari is not 100% real/authentic.
The service was great. Our waitress was kind and very friendly with answering any questions. We ordered oysters and oyster rockefeller for the appetizers, which came out quickly and were very good. For our main entree, we got the shrimp peel and eat (head on), which was filling and seasoned good. The clam chowder bowl is big and good. We had no complaints about our food and this restaurant is right off the waterfront. It is wheelchair accessible and we were seated quickly for a busy afternoon.
I ain't never in my 34 years of life been called the N word so mildly- very demure, very cutesy The overall experience was telling N go home. So boooom, we got seated now all of a suddenly our waitress went from white to black, uhhhh ok. Then it took sis forever and a day to take our order. We get our order the seafood I chose was disgusting, cold and old - like I was given an order that was sent back to the kitchen. On top of one of the items I ordered not being delivered and we were still charged for it (yay happy birthday to me- drove all the way here for bs) My cousins order came out wrong, how do you overcook salmon?? That bish was dried up My mother and little sisters order was ehhh ok I guess or they just humble Then we asked for them to sing happy birthday to me. Supposedly they did not have candles to top the cake- I was given hot ass strawberry on top of a stale corn bread. I ought to slap whoever ancestors thought up this disgusting ass combination.
This is a good restaurant to stop in for some good seafood! We ordered a half dozen raw oysters, oysters Rockefeller, and a crab boil. Everything was so yummy! The raw oysters were a bit in the smaller side, but the tasted very fresh. The oysters Rockefeller was bigger and so tasty with the toppings! The seafood boil we ordered had a variety of crabs and other seafoods. I enjoyed the food very much, but I did not like that a bowl was placed on the ground for all our shells from the seafood. I didn't like looking to the ground while I was actively trying to enjoy my food.
Where to start? How about the location! Spending the day on the waterfront and aquarium we got hungry for seafood and this place had the best menu for us. Coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail and margaritas! The shrimp was perfect. Well done and savory. The bartender (we sat at the bar) was fun! Made a few suggestions and they were perfect. This is a "on the pier" place. It's a bar/patio restaurant. Loved it. The hostess, the service, the food were all 5 star!
Was our first time in Seattle and my wife and I wanted to take advantage of the abundance of seafood restaurants. A quick search on Yelp led me to the Crab Pot. We were offered the option to sit inside or outside on the dock and since it was a nice evening we decided to sit outside. The waiter was prompt and attentive. The beer was cold and the crab was seasoned to perfection! Unfortunate, I was so hungry I forgot to take more pictures of our meal!
Service & Ambiance: 10/10. We sat at the top level next to the window view which was really nice. Salmon chowder: 6/10 I expected this to be like the Lowell's salmon chowder but instead it was a vegetable heavy soup which looked like it had a lot of oil. It looked really unappetizing, surprisingly it tasted not bad but also not that good. Seafood pasta: 10/10 creamy and delicious Snow Crab legs: 9/10. Taste-wise it was great but docked a point for the lack of proper equipment to break the crab legs. The mallet/hammer they give you is pretty useless. Pina Colada: 7/10 Maker's Mule: 5/10 Boozy Arnold: 9/10
We had a little bit of everything. Got the half order of shrimp, crab cakes, shrimp and crab dip, oysters on a half shell. And although most of it was pretty good there were some disappointing moments. Unfortunately the shrimp was so over cooked it was kind of mushy. And the dip was nothing special don't get me wrong it wasn't bad just kinda nothing special. Now on a good note the crab cakes were amazing!!! The pepper jelly they serve with it was delish. I don't eat oysters but my buddy thought they were yummy just a little small. Honestly I'd come back just to try some other options like the royal feast.
This weekend while venturing around Pike's Place in Seattle, my friend and I decided to grab lunch here at Crab Pot! Came here around 12:00pm and got seated near the window area. Very friendly service from the hostess down to our server. Place is spacious....feels like a rustic seaport -feel....lots of stuff made up of wood- goes well with the area and food! We ordered their bread and butter- which kicked us off on a great lunch start and for our main meals I ordered their seafood salad that was packed with crab meat, bay shrimp, and smoked salmon...so delicious and I feel two people could have shared this one dish. My friend ordered the clam chowder in a bowl....creamy, hearty soup full of flavor- yum! Definitely a place to try fresh seafood with variety of selections for everyone pick something they like!
Visited family in Seattle on a Sunday and this place was the only one that was left open in tourist area until 9 PM. It did not disappoint in having really good seafood. The portions were generous, and the staff is really nice. My dad is handicapped and they made sure to get us a good table for him to sit with his scooter. Our whole party was satisfied with our food. I recommend : Halibut tacos Scampi Fish and chips The food was very fresh and I love the theme. Great place for tourist to come and enjoy the fresh Washington seafood and views.
Visited Seattle with the family and went to this place to get some fresh seafood. The server was great, he made a few recommendations and answered all of our questions. The weather was nice so we were able to seat outside with a nice view of the Seattle Great Wheel. We wanted to avoid fried fish so we got the seafeast to share which comes with a variety of fresh seafood (salmon, crab, shrimp) and corn and potatoes. The feast is served directly on the table with butcher paper and they also give a bowl and place it on the floor for all trash and leftovers. We also tried the salmon filled with crab with potatoes, broccoli and carrots and it was delicious. The ambiance is family oriented and casual. Prices are average for the area so a great option for a nice stop to relax and eat next to the water.
Best place to enjoy seafood in Seattle. Quick service and decent price. The restaurant is big, minimal wait time even in the weekends. Watermelon margaritas is the best thing I've ever had The crab cakes were meh, but the cioppino was awesome, the seafood was fresh and flavorful

An incredible dinner. The server was not only friendly, but helped us order to make sure we picked the right items. Order less than you think you need, their portions are very generous. Fun atmosphere right on the water. I would make this a priority if I go back to Seattle. read more

I went with high expectations because of its reputation, but the taste was more ordinary than expected, and the prices were high despite being in a coastal city, so I probably wouldn't go again. The service was excellent. I didn't use the parking, so I'm not sure about it. Hard to find entry. read more

Came here for vacation, really wanted a crab boil. I got the Alaskan king crab boil and it was delicious. My husband got the fish and chips, they had to be the best fish and chips we've ever had. The only gripe I had is that they did not have proper tools for the boil. They are known for their little wood cutting board and a little hammer to get the meat out. I found it was super hard to use. But other than that, loved the food and experience. read more
I'm always down for a good seafood boil. This place was calling our name when we were in search of a seafood spot while in town. It did not disappoint. Each of us couples got the Alaskan Seafeast for Two which has Jumbo Snow Crab, Dungeness Crab, Snow Crab, Head-on-Shrimp, Steamed Clams, Pacific Mussels, Andouille Sausage, Corn On The Cob & Red Potatoes. It's $58 per person. Amazing food and service. This location we went to is in a busy and loud environment right on the busy pier. We had a great time though! read more

Walked by this place many times, always wanted to try it. We came here on a weekday which made it kind of nice, no Waite and a window seating. Our hostess was a young gentleman. No hello and no personality. Usually hostess should greet you, maybe that's how they do it here. We ordered one of the most popular dishes. Everything came out fantastic, cooked to perfection. I was kind of hesitant on the price at first, but all in all, it was worth every penny after our waitress made it very delightful experience. She was very pleasant, with a great personality, and very tentative. She rocked it! Beer was delicious, but cocktails could've used a little more of a kick for the price of $12. Steamed clams were pretty tasty. Restrooms were clean and so was the dining room. Any info, just check out my receipt. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience. read more

This place was an unexpected find after visiting the Seattle aquarium and walking around a bit in the rain. Cute restaurant inside a little fun mall type place that resembles a boat. We started with a hot crab and cream cheese dip with tortilla chips. I ordered the crab Mac n cheese and hubby ordered a bowl of clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. The clam chowder was pretty darn tasty. I would say better flavor than the other chowder we had the day prior across the street at the Marketplace. My crab mac n cheese was a bit oily with butter but other than that flavorful. We were over all pleased with our meals and there was no wait on a early Sunday afternoon for lunch. It was cool to see other tables with their mallets going to town with their crab boil pots. Looks like a fun experience that maybe we would try on another visit for dinner. I'm not breaking new ground with this review, just solidifying stats I suppose. Overall the food here was fine. I didn't love the Mac n Cheese. The clam chowder was good, the stuffed mushrooms were also. I didn't have the shrimp and chips but the other person with me finished it so it's probably good. For the price, I think I want more though. This is $40/person at least and it's just good. But it should be really good. Our server was fine but didn't ask if we wanted dessert, which was one of the reasons we went in the first place. We got a check but no opportunity to order the pan cake! Sadness. read more

Not fresh seafood at all . Crabs are frozen for years. Shellfish is not fresh. Shrimp, potatoes and corn are best served. Not recommended, read more

I will say that I appreciated the service here. Service was by Chito and he was quick, attentive, and friendly - 5 stars for service! The food itself has a wow factor, especially for tourists in Seattle. At $60/person, it was not only less flavorful than places like Boiling Crab or other competitors, but the mussels in this batch were actually mostly all rancid and tasted like sewage Both my friend and I ate all around the bad mussels (we both agreed it wasn't fresh nor good). Crab legs were good but there was only one big cluster - the remaining two were small and fragmented, and the sausage was sliced really thinly and there weren't many of them. We thankfully didn't get sick from the bad mussels, but it was a nice atmosphere, plenty of space, and not too long of a wait, but probably wouldn't come back (especially for this). read more

If you are in the mood for fresh seafood, come here. For little over $200 you get decent amount of food for four. We enjoyed our experience but the flies buzzing around us were annoying. If you decide to use the little mallet they give you, good luck since I couldn't get it ro work. read more
My mom and I have visited Crab Pot now on two separate trips, and have absolutely loved it! One of it's only downsides is that it is a bit of a hike off the main trail of Pike's, but it sits right on the water and you can enjoy those views. We enjoy getting the combos of crab legs, mussels, shrimp, and more here in their combos! The shrimp can be a bit on the small side, but everything is so good, that you won't even really notice or care. We always walk out SO full. I spent my family members birthday here. Had an amazing time together and a great server! Nice ocean feel environment. However the food was very mediocre. The shrimp still had waste (boo boo) veins, some was extremely dirty in the head! The mussels and clams were what we appeared to pay for, because there were so many. We arrived around 11am, so we were expecting fresh, piping hot food. We ordered a couple of appetizers, The Capt'n Combo, and (2) Alaskan Seafeast platters. First off, the bussers only spoke Spanish, not a big deal since my sister-in-law spoke the language. However, they weren't allowed to refill anything but water. So I only got 2 refills on my soft drink. Wait staff wasn't easy to flag down. Second, when the fried food came out, Caps Combo was warm and tasted like it's been sitting on the warmer for awhile. Our Seafeast Platters came out 1 hour after ordering. I was willing to see past that if the crab and shellfish was worth it but it was over-cooked and dry. I've been to many different establishments with the same style cuisine and MOST charge and serve by the pound. Not with these platters. Each order was supposed to feed 2 people so we order (2) orders. The server OVER HYPED the serving size. If the service was good, we might've enjoyed the visit more but the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there and they only checked on us once. The busser, who can only refill water, was EXCELLENT! Constantly kept my glass full, probably because he knows the food was dry lol. Busser is the only reason this place got a star at all. Oh and the family behind us left because they could hack the wait time. Maybe my visit was just a fluke. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the crab dinner. It's a bit chilly sitting next to the Puget sound, bring a jacket or cardigan if you want to sit outside. The service was great, our server was really friendly and sweet. She's funny and joke a bit! We love her. She was very helpful and never forgot our order, request, and other things we need. She was busy serving other tables too, so I'm really impressed that she was able to remember everything. The crab was pretty good! I wish there's more crab. Salmon was overcooked and it' became dry and rough, I found a bone in the fish. (Nothing bad about it, just a heads up if you want to order salmon). Everything was perfect beside the salmon. I tried a shrimp and it was pretty fresh and easy to peel. Overall it's a great experience! read more

Food is good and price is reasonable considering that it is located in a tourist area. Place is nicely located near Pier 55, where most people taking the Harbor Cruise would be walking around. They have a lot of items to offer, but we only tried the clam chowdwr, fish&chips, and the friedchowder, The clam chowder is creamy and not salty as I have tasted from other restaurants. Katie was our server, and she is amazing. Very friendly and always checking on us if we need anything. read more
If you're coming to the crab pot, IMO, there's one thing you gotta get, and surprise: it's the crab pots. Nothing else is really worth the time or crazy price tag, but boy if you want the crab, the crab pot's got the whole crab in a pot thing down. It's an experience at this point. I'd recommend the Westport or the Alaskan depending on whether you wanted to shell out a few extra clams for the king crab. read more

5/5 customer service was good. Upon arrival we were greeted and asked how many and taken to our seat. The first seats were not the greatest, my significant other ashes if we could sit outside, the gentleman checked and said it was alright. They cleaned off a table for us and it was great outside. 5/5 The waitress was very nice explaining everything. 5/5 we ordered appetizers oysters on half shell food was amazing, fresh delicious and the sauce was perfect. 3/5 sangria's we ordered were a little water down with extra ice - still good just not strong. 5/5 we both had clam chowder, mine was in a bowl and his was in a bread bowl both very fresh, delicious and tasty. Excellent. I highly recommend this location and restaurant to everyone. Not sure if they take reservations. Lastly, restrooms were clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I had a day of exploring Seattle and after walking around Pikes Market we wanted to have a big ole crab boil. The first restaurant we tried only offered it for dinner (we did not know this, so remember to ask before waiting a half hour for a table). We left and went to the Crab Pot next door. The Crab Pot restaurant offered it for both lunch and dinner and it was worth it. We got the Alaskan boil for two. Everything was well prepared and full of flavor. We ordered the Clam Chowder bread bowls and weren't disappointed at all. Absolutely delicious! Our waitress was very attentive and did an excellent job with our table. The atmosphere was perfect for a pier restaurant. We got a window seat and enjoyed the view of the dock. They played oldies classic music and was enjoyable while eating. Seven years later the Crab Pot is not the same experience. Although our waiter was super and took great care of us. The food quality has gone downhill greatly. Alaskan King Crab $65 per pound and they were small legs. Oyster on the half shell were slimy. The Calamari was good! Halibut and chips were good! Would I go back? No. read more
