Wow! This place was bomb! I ordered the #14 (Pollo a La plancha) comes with 2 plantains, beans and rice! The chicken was flavored so well, so delicious! The beans and rice was great as well! I don't know what kind of sauce they got but it's orange and it is so bomb! We will definitely be coming back! The owner I'm assuming was a younger dude but he was so cool and welcomed us! Can't wait to come back! Best Cuban food I've ever had. Definitely a hidden gem, and definitely worth the drive from wherever you are. Also had their chicken empanada and that was amazing as well! My boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding, and found this Cuban restaurant right before we were headed home. My boyfriend is Cuban and has the highest expectations when it comes to food, and the Cuban hut did not disappoint! I got the medianoche and he got the Cubano and we also got some pastelito. Everything was absolutely amazing. No other cuban restaurant has come close to the quality at the Cuban hut. The only thing we're upset about is that we live so far and won't be able to come back as often as we like. My wife and I went looking for a new place to have dinner and found The Cuban Hut. We were not disappointed. She ordered the "#17 Arroz con Pollo" and I got the "#10 Ropa Veija". While we were waiting, Jose, the owner brought us out a couple of cups of Split Pea Soup. Probably the best we both ever had. Our food comes out and we were pleasantly surprised by the large portions. We both enjoyed the dishes immensely. Needless to say, we took home leftovers. A little hole in the wall, but didn't disappoint. Seemed to be cooked and served by authentic cuban people, which is a plus. We ordered an original cuban to split and some plantains. Sandwich was pretty good, needs the mojo sauce because pork was a little dry but that's why they give it to you, right? As for the plantains, 4 of them for like $2? a little pricey for me but they were delicious nonetheless. if we're ever in the area again, we will try them again, would love to see how their arroz con frijoles and empanadas and croquetas are! Saw many regulars come around while we were there which is also a good sign. minimal seating so either takeout or be ready to wait for a table, although they don't seem too busy for dine in. Happened upon this place randomly when doing a google search for quick food nearby. Boy am I glad I did! The food here is phenomenal. I had the Bistek con Salsita and my husband had the Cubano. Both dishes were so flavorful and delicious. Our food came out fast which is important to us since we were there with our newborn baby. The atmosphere inside is cozy, and they also have a small outdoor seating space out front which is where we sat. 10/10 experience! We live an hour away from Temecula but would drive all the way back just to have the Cubano again! read more

I went to The Cuban Hut after my son purchased food there. It was his first time and he loves good food. I went there that same night for dinner. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting from a young man. I ordered oxtails for my husband and the cubano sandwich for myseljf. I also purchased empanadas. The cubano sandwich was full of meat and very tasty. I used to buy empanadas from an empanada place in Temecula. I love The Cuban Hut's empanadas. They were very flavorful. I will only buy them here from now on. On my 2nd visit, which was within a week of the 1st visit, I was treated to their Cuban tamale. This restaurant is my new go to for great food! read more

All of their food is amazing!!!You get some restaurants that claim they serve cuban food but it is a similar to Cuban food. I have had good food before but nothing is even close to the food at Cuban Hut. We had the potato balls, chicharrón, yuca, cuban sandwich and the oxtails. So delicious. Riquísimo. This is our new Cuban spot. The frijoles negros are creamy and seasoned to perfection. Maduros were perfect. Ropa vieja very good as well with plenty of veggies. I look forward to trying the flan I also got. Very welcoming staff. Next time I will bring a water bottle because they do not have a soda machine here. Chicken w cheese not that great tho. Maybe vegs or something else wud b better w the chicken. Edges r a lil hard. Big tony montana sandwich is messy not that great but edible. Busy busy so i will maybe give it another try. Clientele r local and couple street folks but ok. I ordered the oxtail special with rice and plantains, with a side coffee. I received my order within a timely manner, the food is fresh and delicious. The flavors are nice across the board, from savory gravy that sits around the oxtail and on top the rice. With smooth black beans and nicely seared plantains. All with a added dose of their "Spicy special sauce", which the server mentioned he goes through about 52 gallons a week. AMAZING! Within 10 mins of being here it was packed! Worse Cuban food I've ever eaten. Ordered the pork that normally is cooked with garlic and onion. This was 3-4 chunks of dry pork chunks, no flavor, added onion on top. Rice and beans/rice were cold, beans come in a cup to pour over the rice. Bananas were dried, cold. Served in take out containers with plastic utensils. It was so awful I literally ate, if anything, 1/2 of 1 pork chunk and a little rice beans. It was the most unappealing food served - through it so away and walked out. Not one piece of garlic found in any part of the meal. Cashier was rude-just a "1" all around. Drove from Temescal Valley based on reviews. Would have given it a '0' if possible. Sorry. read more
