I yelled "the works -- no mustard, drown me in onions and olives." They dropped an absolute beast of a sandwich... and it came perfectly toasted straight out the gate the way it should be. No sad "can you toast this?" negotiation. Golden, crunchy bread that cracks like it owes you money. Meat stacked stupid high, provolone doing its melty thing, then they buried the whole thing under an avalanche of fresh, snapping shredded lettuce and threw in those glossy peppers on the side like a mic drop. This thing is ridiculously messy -- oil dripping, lettuce flying, pure delicious chaos in every bite. Pro tip: there's no napkin dispenser at the tables, so you gotta go full scavenger hunt by the self-serve soda machine to grab your own stack. Worth every greasy finger and napkin raid. It fed this giant for two meals and left me still full, slightly greasy, and weirdly emotional. My spinach smoothie PTSD? Cured. If your diet has been as depressing as mine, stop torturing yourself and drag your weak ass here immediately. Friendly as can be, killer vibe, and subs that actually deliver. So don't come if you're in a hurry, but it's worth the wait if you can! Both of our sandwiches were excellent, I ordered the roast beef and it had tons of meat. The Italian dressing they have is delicious. My husband ordered the Mafia and said it was just great too. The 12in sandwiches are huge, definitely plenty to split or make two meals out of. I have recently moved out to the Temecula area & I would have to say that Cuban Hut is one of the best Caribbean restaurants out this way. As soon as you step into the restaurant, you feel as if you stepped into Cuba itself. The roar of the trumpets and the banging of the drums out the speakers will have your hips moving to the register. AWESOME menu choices from sandwiches to dinner plates and all the favorite Cuban desserts you want. And those Plantains, PERFECTO! The Owner is extremely nice and the staff is always friendly. I write this with all sincerity....BEST CUBAN FOOD since my abuelita's. Cuban Hut blows away the competition! The owner (Jose or Papi as his employees call him) is genuinely an amazing man. So humble and giving and A TRUE CUBAN! Ordered a Lechon plate and a Cuban sandwich. Lechon is out of this world perfection and a huge portion. Cuban sandwich has all the check boxes checked for excellence. Restaurant staff very chill and helpful. Cannot stop raving about this place to all that will listen. Cutting it open there was a great mix of all the ingredients. Potatoes were a small dice and seasoned with the same spice they sprinkle on their chips I think. Fajita style onions and peppers with a generous amount of juicy Machaca, laced with perfectly melted cheese. I think there may have been some refried beans in there too since I asked for everything they recommend. If there was they were so nicely blended they didn't dominate a single bite and may have performed more as a binder. 5 stars for Location and staff were both great as it's not hard to get to off Ynez by the dealerships. It's the kind of place locals know of and tell people they got their perfect spot. Blown away by how friendly the staff is, in the morning, while taking deliveries. The Machaca Breakfast Burrito is a solid 4.9/5, would definitely order again after I try some of the others because this place is definitely going on the short list of go-to spots. The chips were nicely seasoned and fresh, the salsa had a pleasant burn that wasn't overpowering, so careful if you're sensitive to heat. The burrito I got was the Grande Breakfast Burrito. Upon first glance it was a great size, slightly larger than average, though the exterior could have used a little toasting. Inside the three meats, egg and hash brown were nicely distributed. The hash brown is a preformed patty style which was great as it held form, had crispiness for texture. They use a good cheese blend with great texture in the melted chew of the burrito. Overall, location is in an often overlooked spot near 412 church, but what a little hidden gem. Staff that I met is great and it's just comfortable inside. 5 stars for service and ambiance. Now for the Grande Breakfast Burrito. First for size to value this is a top contender, absolutely one of the best values in the area. Flavor it's also pretty high on the scale. I do like the 3 meat blend as I feel it offers great balance, and with the texture contrast of the hash brown, the gooey cheese and fluffy egg, it hit on all levels, except one. My personal preference is to have some toasting of the tortilla, honestly the only negative and I'm sure all I would have to do is ask next time. Overall burrito scores a 4.9 and could easily max out next time I come by.
