My coworker recommended this place to me and I decided to try it out after my initial pizza place plans fell through. The GPS led me to the building but since I'm unaware of the area I didn't know where to go. Parking is a bit tricky. There's a bank on the side but the parking is only for the bank. The parking in the front was taken but I saw a street with additional parking. Thankfully, I lucked up and found someone pulling out at the same time that I was driving in. I'm not sure where other parking is available. I entered Seaboard thinking that I had to order through there. I was redirected outside to a small brick building. It's easy to miss if you are driving. There are picnic benches out in front. I decided on "The Pinnacle" and was given a cone. My pizza came out quickly and there wasn't much of a wait. They were busy for a Saturday but not overwhelming. My pizza came out within 15 to 20 minutes. It was DELICIOUS!!! I will definitely revisit and reorder. Thanks to my coworker for the recommendation, they have a new customer! read more

I went with a group of girlfriends and we all ordered something different. The stand outs for me were the Pickle-ickle pizza and the Butter Pecan Cinnamon Sticks. WOWZERS. The flavor combinations were so unique and the pickle pizza was absolutely stunning. I've never seen or tasted anything like it. Huge fan. Tried Exchange Pizza for the first time. Pictures looked good and we're always looking for a really good pizza place. We had a pepperoni and onion and a sausage, mushroom and jalapeno pizzas. We also had them delivered by Doordash. We live 6 miles from their Matthews location so it shouldn't be a problem. They showed up cold. Doordash isn't a good option for pizza delivery as most of their drivers do not have the 'bag' to keep the pizzas warm. That said the pizza taste was just ok. We have better options. read more

Went with friends for wine and they said the pizza was great brick oven pizza, looked amazing but you can taste that some part of the ingredients wasn't properly defrosted, it's had that frozen taste . The best pizza spot around. The dough is definitely the main character at this spot. Highly recommend the pinnacle-very fresh light and filled with juicy chicken and bacon. The cinnamon sticks are perfection, very sweet and the dough soaks up all the ingredients. Did get another pizza with mozzarella, mushroom and sausage and just as great as the other. Located in a blink-and-you-miss-it location, since it's further back from the main road, just look for Seaboard, and it's just next door. Walk up, order, then take away to eat at one of the outside tables. I took mine back to the car and gobbled it down in there. Which was a good thing since I could inhale the pizza privately. The evening I was there, the streets and restaurants were packed with people very close to each other like there isn't a pandemic going on. This easy to miss pizza shack is located next to the popular Seaboard Taproom in downtown Matthews. They are takeout only but seem to have a partnership or may be under the same owner ship as Seaboard as they will give you a table number and bring you your food inside if you wish to eat on sight. While on the outside they may not seem like much they have developed a cult following and I was very excited to try one of their Neapolitan pizzas they have become known for. I went with "Jeffrey's Joy". It came with chicken, bacon, ricotta, and olive oil, over a white sauce. The service was quick and the pizza tasted good however it seemed to be undercooked in the middle which resulted in it being extra floppy and hard to eat. I prefer a sturdier more thoroughly cooked slice so I was a little disappointed. I'm not going to write them off completely. May have just been a one off, and I certainly would be down to give another try when I find myself hungry in Matthews. read more

This visit we ordered the Jeffery's Joy Neapolitan Pizza off the online menu. It has chicken, bacon, and ricotta. The pizza dough is light and billowing. The flavors were perfect. It's basically a shack that sits back off the street and very easy to miss. They only offer take out but have outdoor seating with very close proximity to Seaboard. Luckily the weather was nice this day; otherwise I would have had to go back to my vehicle to eat. Service was fast and my pizza was hot. Only 4 stars because I could taste the char on the bottom of the crust on some parts. The simple fact that I was able to get half/half was a win in of itself. The Pep was simple-cheesy and delicious! The sauce was on point! Perfect acidity, with just the right amount of basil and oregano. I like my pizza saucey, so the next go round I will be asking for extra sauce on my pie. We ordered pizza from this place for the second time today while at Seaboard brewing. We love the pizza here. We got the roasted chicken and absolutely loved it. I would have liked a little more pesto - but that's because I love a good pesto. I like how crunchy the edge of the pizza is and chicken was over cooked or dry at all. This was a Friday lunch date with my wife prior to going shopping for my trip to Puerto Rico the next day. We ordered a pizza with many toppings and we each drink a beer. The pizza had bacon sausage chicken spinach garlic, etc. The pizza was very tasty but maybe as a result of the multitude of toppings the crust was a little soggy. It still tasted great I was definitely a little softer than I would've liked. My wife drank a White Ale and I got the Tidewater red for beers. We were one of three tables in the whole restaurant so it was a very quiet lunch which was a good thing considering the turmoil we were about to step into at Costco. Seaboard brewing company and the pizza exchange is one of our favorite places to grab a bite in all of Matthews. It always taste good and it's totally hassle free. Both places have very friendly staff they are helpful in making a beer or food selection. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great beer selection and a tasty pizza pie in the Matthews Area. read more

Melt in your mouth delicious. Their everyday pizzas are great too, but the creative specials make it outstanding for me. TIP: The patio gets busy, so get there early if you want to guarantee a table! You can tell quality ingredients and the crust was neopolitan, which I love! Third, these guys were awesome! They were total heroes in that I ordered my pie 5mins before they officially closed and the lovely delivery guy was such a sweetheart in not only taking my order, but getting over to me at the CBT super fast! Huge fan of The Exchange Pizza Depot! My fiance and I were looking around for a place to go on a Friday night and we had decided on Seaboard. Luckily, there happened to be a pizza spot right beside it and the pizza looked AMAZING in the pictures. Also luckily, we ended up going and the pizza was bomb. The staff was straight up hustling pizzas out of their little pizza shack and they obviously had a ton of orders to take care of for people at Seaboard and people wanting to pick up. I got my own pizza and some cheese sticks and they were both delicious. Cheese sticks were super duper cheesy with a perfect amount of side marinara (i hate when places skimp on the marinara) and the pizza was cooked to perfection with a 10/10 crust. The pizza also heated up very well in my toaster oven so that's just extra credit at this point. We will be back very soon! read more
