Delicious! I was in town from Orlando visiting some family who were in town overnight for a cruise they were going on. This restaurant was at the next corner up from the hotel we were staying at so we decided to walk over there for dinner. The service was excellent, you were greeted as soon as you walked through the door. All of the wait staff was very friendly. My Dad and I got the grilled shrimp tacos which you have a choice of being blackened or not. The tacos are packed with shrimp, the sauce that comes with was absolutely delicious 10 out of 10 I would get them every time. They are served with tortilla chips on the side so I asked for some salsa on the side to go with. The ambiance of this restaurant is very nice. They keep it clean and open there's a lot of space so you're not on top of each other. Family friendly. The bar was packed when we arrived which was good to see. Ordered Shrimp Cocktail, grilled Scottish salmon, kids chicken tenders, kids grilled cheese, Fish Grill Classic Burger, and the Black and Blue Burger. Our friends both ordered mahi mahi sandwiches. Everything was EXCEPTIONAL! That Scottish Salmon was one I've never had before and it was AMAZING. Food Arrived around 20 min after ordering. Hot and fresh. Seafood was by far the best quality. And we eat a lot of seafood. Kids loved their meals and I appreciated how they accommodated them well. I really really LOVED the shrimp cocktail and the house cocktail sauce. I couldn't get enough! Server was efficient and great. Got to have a nice conversation about local driving and he was very helpful with his advice driving to Miami. Total for 6 meals was $130.xx before gratuity. With the kitchen closing within 15min of our arrival, the bartender begrudgingly let us pick from the wraps section on the menu. This little place near the airport was hyped by our shuttle driver. An unassuming place that's a bit dated. Our server was friendly and gave us time to read through the lunch menu. Since we were on vacay and were eating an early dinner, we ordered wine: my companion a Pinot Noir and me, a Sauvignon Blanc. She took one drink from the red and thought it bitter and acidic; I tried it, too, and felt like it may have been sitting open for a while. When we asked for something different we were told it was us - the wine was just opened. No option to satisfy us. I drank the crappy stuff and she drank mine. Next, we ordered a 1/2 oysters on the half shell. They brought us a dozen. They quickly corrected this but when my friend looked at them she was confused: they were so small and had bits of black. Turns out they were clams, not oysters. I also ordered steamed clams which were delicious but there was no bread to sop up the garlicky juice. That's a big part of steamed clams or mussels. Seems like an established seafood restaurant would know this. They do - we had to pay extra for garlic toast. Finally, we split a meal of grilled something (I honestly don't remember) that was just okay. By this time we were over the mistakes and the lack of concern for our satisfaction. I don't want to suggest our server didn't care, but there was an overall laissez faire feel to the whole experience. This little place probably has its local fans and benefits from that steady stream of tourists who, like us, are just desperate to sink our teeth into fresh catch. They'll likely keep turning over tables because of this. Moral? Skip those recommendations from drivers and rely on Yelp reviews and your own keen senses. read more

Breakfast has been beyond five star so we went for dinner Sunday evening. The wait staff were wonderful. We were seated in the dining room at a lovely table by the window. We started with clams casino. It was piping hot and over cooked. Next came the New England clam chowder. It was delicious. I could tell it was made on property. They add celery and plenty of clam flavor. No wallpaper paste here! For main course, the green beans were cooked al dente and seasoned well. The coleslaw was crisp and creamy but not over loaded with mayonnaise. The Scottish salmon was a great piece of fish but the cook cremated it under the broiler. I explained this to the waiter, he didn't do anything and I decided to let it go. The leftover salmon went to the dogs. Next time I'm going to try the fried clams or fish and chips. A neighborhood gem where everyone is welcomed. We opted to sit at the bar for our meal since it was close to 10 pm local time and we wanted quick service. I started with a local beer from wynwood called la Rubia. It was a tasty light ale. We took a few minutes to peruse the menu and landed on fish tacos and fish and chips. When in a place close to the source- I'll have fish! Coming from Colorado this is a treat. The fish tacos were grilled, topped with a cilantro sauce, onions a few tomato pieces and a healthy slice of avocado. The only thing that would've taken this over the top is a corn tortilla. The fish and chips consisted of 4 large pieces of fish, chips, cole slaw and a soup. For the soup we choose clam chowder - super tasty. This was a fantastic meal. My wife and I walked about a block from our Windham Hotel to The Fish Grill for a bite to eat. When you leave the hotel, turn right. It is a "clean, well-lighted place," and we ended up going there for four meals. Unfortunately, they don't serve breakfast, but the lunch and dinner were great. My wife enjoyed various seafoods, but I am a non-sea-food guy, and found sufficient food for my tastes. I am trying to lower or at least maintain my weight, so I generally ate soups which were excellent. If I had a single complaint, it is that I would like some low-calorie lunches and dinner with humus and vegetables, for example. he ambiance and servers were excellent, and the Maître d' was feisty but fun. She kept the place hopping. The place was full on Saturday night, but other nights were easier to get into. All in all, if you need a place to eat this is the place. We had a really good lunch experience here last week. A friend who works in the area had recommended this restaurant to me a while back and we finally got to try it. The restaurant is directly on the west side of federal highway (US1) so you need to use the parking lot behind it. Inside is a first room with a long bar and another room with booths. We understand that they may be expanding soon to include the place next door. We started by sharing a Florida staple -- fish dip. it was served with saltine crackers, some chopped tomatoes, and chopped red onions (which gave it a little zing and crunch). It was a good appetizer if you're a fan of fishy dip. Then my husband had a dozen raw oysters on the half shell. They were gorgeously presented, a good size, and he said wonderful. My follow up was their steamers. These small clams -- which you have to know how to eat; it's work -- were in a very tasty broth of garlic, butter, and herbs. The same "cleansing" broth served in a cup alongside was good enough to eat as a soup! There was also a cup of melted butter on the side -- but I didn't use this as the clams and broth were so flavorful on their own. We had great service, too. And all Covid protocols were being followed. If this place was nearer to where we live, it would certainly become one of our regular haunts. They have a wide menu -- not just seafood -- so I'm sure we will return to try more of their "good eats". read more

Food was good, but service was the most disappointed part of our visit. The "manager" a white lady greeted us upon arrival, I had asked about parking , I parked my vehicle behind the restaurant, an empty parking space which had no signage of anything, told the lady where I parked she said it was fine. In the middle of us eating our food, she started asking whose vehicle it was I told her it was our, and she asked if I could move since that was a parking for delivery ( no signage indicated) as I was about to get up, the lady came back stating that I needed to move my vehicle immediately, which it was very rude on her part since I was literally with the food in my mouth, obviously it was lack of empathy and professionalism on her part, I walked out to move my vehicle, while she was trying to indicate where I needed to park, (I was upset and ignored her), couldn't finish half of my food, paid the bill, in the way out tried to let her know it was very rude her approach to us at such moment, but she ignored us turn her back on us and walked away, such attitude coming from someone who is in a restaurant business is unacceptable, as she walked away one of the waiters, tall Dominican , came in front of us and telling us to vacate the business, or he was calling the police, I have indicated him to do so, since we were not loud nor belligerent and just wanted an explanation of her attitude. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND LACK OF INTEGRITY COMING FROM THIOSE TWO INDIVIDUALS!!!!
