Medium sized shareable bowl of tasty goodness. - tofu sticks with marinara (think fried cheese). When eaten hot, freakishly, the texture of mozzarella without the pull away snap. The coating is well-seasoned, crisp, and complete. - crispy tacos. Excellent. - omelet and rosemary potatoes. Incredible. Always a fav. - Margarita pizza (cauliflower crust). Wow! The crust is amazing. I want more of that! The cheese! So melty and bubbly, with the perfect touch of broiled areas. Pizza orderers need to know that pizzas do not have sauce on them. If you want it they will bring you a side. No charge. I didn't want or miss the sauce. Never thought about it. We were too full for dessert. Next time, we're having dessert first. Food - I decided on the tortilla soup, and I enjoyed it very much. I also ordered the grilled cheese, and it came with sweet potato waffle fries. That was also very yummy. And it came with a nice aoli sauce. I was not sure how the vegan cheese was going to go. But I love grilled cheese. It's hard for me to pass that up when I see it on the menu. Drink - I ordered a mocktail. I was torn between the watermelon/basil aqua fresca and the Matcha Moijto. The kind server said the watermelon basil was better, so I went with that. I am not a vegan but I love me a new restaurant! I saw this place and its positive reviews on yelp and couldn't wait to try. I enjoyed Verdine before but I have to say that Ginger Mule is an upgrade! My coworker and I came during lunch and I ordered the lunch special. You get to pic a starter, entrée, and a dessert. I ordered the caesar salad, portobello kindness burger, and the carrot cake. Every single course of the meal was amazing!! The salad had hearts of palm in it which I loved!!! The burger was so flavorful and juicy and it came with the most delicious pretzel bun. I am not a fan of gluten free pastries and I had low expectations for the carrot cake but omg.... it blew me away!! I even saved some so I could take it to my gf coworker and she agreed that it was a perfectly made gf cake. Lastly, the service here was awesome. Our server (cant remember his name) and Michael took such good care of us are really made us feel welcomed as first timers. The space inside is pretty small, the bar chairs were very close together and halfway through my meal someone sat right next to me who had a wet cough the whole time. I ordered essentially a vegan taco bowl which was completely flavorless. 3 stars only for the drink which was delicious and came out fast (BBP beet mocktail). I loved my meal here! My vegan friend was in town and naturally, we picked a new place to try. So glad we ended up here. Everything was delicious and really well-prepared. Flavors AND textures were on point. The portions were large as well. We tried a few items: -Coconut calamari: The breading was spot on. Not quote a calamari taste (which I didn't expect) but as close as coconut strips can come. -Tofu sticks: Perfectly breaded, similar to mozzarella sticks (minus the stretchy cheese, obviously). -Verde poderoso (green juice): Green and healthy-tasting but with enough fruity sweetness to make it taste good. -Cozy curry: Delicious! Better than some curries I've had at places that specialize in curry. -Gyro: You don't see this one at vegan places often so kudos. It was absolutely delicious as well. Not sure what sort of imitation meat they used but it was so good. -Guava cheesecake: Fantastic. What a great combination of ingredients/flavors. It tasted like real fruit, not an artificial dessert. I stopped in a local game store and the owner Dave told me about the Ginger Mule. It was mid day just after 2 pm. I was in luck as I finally made a happy hour! I had already eaten lunch so I wasn't super hungry. The drink specials consist of both non alcoholic and alcohol. According to the ingredients very much thoughtfully paired. I selected the Pink Goddess. It was full of flavor with notes of apricots and prosecco Tito's and sweetened with agave. Hit the spot just right for me. Not overly sweet or pungent very well balanced. Delivered with a flower and a slice of lemon made the presentation beautiful. The Cali flower wings were fried to perfection! Came out nice and hot but not too hot to wilt the bed of lettuce it set on. The wings were paired with celery sticks my favorite. Buffalo sauce and Ranch on the side perfect for dipping and getting the proper balance of spice with cool flavors of dill in the ranch. It was not overly seasoned or breaded. Flash fried just right! I ordered another to take home for dinner. The ambiance is amazing! Clean with a huge picture of Mother Earth. On the side wall by the bar. The sever Eli said they see Beyoncé I agreed. However, I call her Mother Earth. Her facial decor and gaze spoke life and peace and serenity. Although the fried tofu sticks or cauliflower bites were good, I definitely enjoyed the nachos the most because of its cheesiness and crispy chips. For the entree, I played it safe by ordering the kindness burger. For the "meat", you get two options - lentil or portobello mushroom. I chose the lentil and found it enjoyable. Our friend who ordered the portobello had a bit of difficulty keeping the mushroom from sliding out, but still enjoyed it. For the side, we chose sweet potato waffle fries which were fantastic. Service was great. We found our waitress to be friendly and prompt. Outdoor seating area is nice, though I wish there was a bit more shade from umbrellas of covering. The weather was great that day and so we all sat outside, but as time crept closer to noon, the white table became a bit blinding because of the reflection. When I saw that Ginger Mule was open, I had been wanting to try it. I was hoping it was better than the previous business that was here, as I felt their service was lacking a bit. As soon as we were greeted I knew the service was going to be much better. The gentleman helping us was really nice and helpful when we asked questions about the menu. My wife decided on the lunch special with a salad, curry, and carrot cake for dessert. I opted for a summer special shawarma. The salad and shawarma tasted very fresh and had thoughtful elements that really pushed them over the top. The curry had a healthy spice level and was amazing. The carrot cake was different, but in a good way. Overall I was not missing meat from my meal at all. Day 2: Brunch For round 2, I ordered the fried rice with Mongolian cauliflower and guava cheesecake and my friend ordered the avocado toast. I absolutely LOVED the cauliflower fried rice plate and couldn't finish but it was even better next day. Guava cheesecake was a little too rich for me personally but flavor was great. Definitely order if you are okay with that, guava flavor comes through nicely as well. I have been here once and it has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants! I came here as I am vegetarian and have celiac disease (strict gluten-free), and had heard this place has a lot of options to cater to both of these restrictions! They have a GF fryer which is awesome. I had the tofu sticks appetizer, which was delicious; the crust was very impressive and served with a nice marinara sauce. For entree, I had the enchiladas substituted with corn tortillas to make them GF. They had a savory filled mushroom and walnut "ground beef" filled topped with vegan mozzarella among other toppings, and served with a side of beans and rice. Everything tasted very fresh, carefully thought out, and tested prior to serving the dish, which I really appreciated. The service was excellent, especially with answering questions about the menu. The service was exceptional, and our waiter was very attentive. We happen to arrive during happy hour, which was between 3 to 5 PM, so all apps and drinks were half off. We ordered the crispy mushroom for appetizer, which I highly recommend. For our entrée we ordered the Mongolian cauliflower fried rice. It was tasty, but it was on the dry end for me. I will say that the serving size is incredibly huge so plan to have leftovers or split it with the partner. Lastly we had the ceremonial cocoa drink, which was an experience. Things I tried- Tofu cheesy sticks- self explanatory and yes, they are yummyyyy Sancocho- who knew soup could be so satisfying!!!
