Absolutely disgusting service. I hope no one ever has an accident at this place because the employees will make sure to humiliate you. My 16-year-old son was about to sit down in a chair when it suddenly broke. He fell and was obviously embarrassed, but he tried to play it off like he was okay. We sat down at our table and tried not to make a big deal out of it. However, we soon noticed two employees looking directly at my son while laughing. My husband asked one of the employees if he really found the situation funny and how could he find it amusing to make fun of a minor. Instead of apologizing, they continued smirking. My older son then spoke up and told the employee, "You know exactly what you're doing with those smirks." The employee responded by telling my son, "Shut up and mind your business." At that point, we decided to leave because we no longer felt comfortable eating food prepared by employees who treated customers this way. As we were leaving, I took out my phone to take a picture of the employee so I could include it with my review. A female employee grabbed my arm and told me not to do that. I told her not to put her hands on me and that I had every right to take photos for my review based on the terrible service we had received. Her response was simply, "Oh," and she began posing for the camera as if the entire situation was amusing. I sincerely hope the owner addresses this incident and provides proper training to the staff. No customer should be mocked after an accident, especially a teenager who was already embarrassed. My son is such a sweet kid, and he did not deserve to be treated this way.
Located at the edge of Old Town Temecula so parking is easier than deeper into the Main Street. Beautiful interior and aesthetic. High quality food and drinks, I have been wanting to come here for years and was impressed. The waiter was super knowledgeable. They have a completely separate area for their GF pizzas, which put my husband w celiac at ease. We went for lunch on a Sunday and it was quite busy but we were able to sit at the "bar" right away. I had the orange blossom mocktail which was herbal and light and delicious. We ordered the GF jalapeño lime carnitas pizza, and it was soo good. Really great combination of curated ingredients. I definitely want to try more of their unique pizzas.
Check in on Yelp before you arrive for less wait time! Visiting from out of town we came to celebrate my birthday. This place is definitely worth a stop. You have to order the Goat & Vine salad and Summer in Italy pizza. The salad with champagne vinaigrette, strawberries, and tomatoes was so fresh, refreshing, and perfect for summer. The new seasonal Summer in Italy pizza with prosciutto, and it was delicious. We also had the seasonal watermelon sangria, which was served with a slice of fresh watermelon. The decor is so cute and makes the whole place feel fun and inviting. Romy was a great server and even had adorable watermelon earrings that matched the summer vibe. They also have nice, clean bathrooms nearby. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town.
Nice, classy restaurant with plenty of seating. Our server, Cyrus, was very attentive. He checked in with us in the right amount of frequency such that it was not intrusive of our conversation. Hubby ordered the chicken salad (small) and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. The salad was pretty hefty so we were able to share it. The sandwich was thick and had a generous amount of chicken salad filling. It came with lots of potato chips. My husband and I both thought the salad dressing and the chicken in the salad were pretty salty. I did not like the dressing at all. The appearance and ingredients gives an expectation of a Chinese chicken salad dressing (sesame) but to my disappointment, it was far from it. I appreciated that the chicken salad sandwich did not have too much mayonnaise. However, the sandwich itself could have used a thin layer of mayo as it was a bit dry. The grapes in the sandwich added a pleasant sweetness to it.
I've been to The Goat & Vine several times & I come here for the pizza. Specifically, the Hatch Chili Honey Chicken Pizza. It is always such a crowd pleaser. I love the caramelized onions, avocado & cilantro on it. It's a nice sized 14" pizza and good for folks to share. The pizza was delicious as always, too! Today, we also ordered the Caesar salad, and it was definitely a miss. It is also extremely expensive at $17. While it was generously sized, the salad was messy & falling off of the plate. The lettuce was too flimsy and did not have the classic Caesar crunch. The dressing was slopped on the lettuce in globs and was not uniformly mixed. The dressing was also very mustard-forward and too strong. Needless to say, I will not order it again! The restaurant is comfortable inside and serves a range of pizzas, sandwiches & starters. They also have some great desserts as well. They have a full bar. Service was pleasant and efficient. Parking is plentiful on the street and in the surrounding free garages. Peace.
Wow the pizza here definitely lived up to the hype! This place is by far the most reviewed on Yelp in the area so I knew I had to check it out. Joined the waitlist around noon on a Sunday and got seated at 1:30 - definitely join the waitlist ASAP as the wait can get really long, up to 2-3 hours. Keep in mind the pizzas can take up to 30 minutes as well. Our server was aware that we were on a time crunch and was very nice about checking in with us throughout our meal We got the goat and vine salad - mixed greens, strawberries, tomatoes, goat cheese, and champagne vinaigrette. Tasty and refreshing We went with the You Confit Me pizza - fennel sausage, ricotta, hatch chile honey, garlic confit, mozzarella and Parmesan, and added mushrooms as well. It was SO good. The perfect balance of savory, garlicky, sweet, and creamy. The pizza dough was perfectly baked and had a nice crunch to it. I can see why it's so highly rated! The decor was cute, modern, a bit industrial. Definitely a good spot for a date night or nice lunch or dinner celebration. Would definitely come back again for this pizza!
I can see why it's not a solid 5 star review! We were highly recommended here and if it wasn't for our last day in town.... I wouldn't give them a chance. We walked in 8 minutes EARLY and the guy cleaning told us they were not opened. We asked if we can sit and wait inside and he said no. Wow.. really? The door is wide open.. means welcome in! lol! Glad we stayed. The pizza dough crust is well worth the visit despite the initial encounter. I'll come back for the food! We split the goat cheese pizza (pretty much everything had goat in it.) No pun intended. It only comes 14 inches. Sounds pretty big, but worth it! We split the large the salad.
I'm not sure if I recommend this place if you wanna make it like a local spot you always go to it was really fun to try. I probably will try it again but now I've learned on the food portions a I'm not sure if I recommend this place if you're looking for a local hangout. It was definitely fun to try, but I've learned a thing or two about food portions and sizes. I started with the chicken pesto sandwich, which was doused in olives. It was horrible. I'm not going to judge it solely on that, but the sourdough bread was also so hard that it irritated my gums. Our waitress was very kind, and she took care of all our needs. However, she didn't seem particularly interested in hearing about the food. On the other hand, their pizza was amazing, their cheese bread was outstanding, and the salads were surprisingly large and delicious. The ginger beer, though, was flat. We brought it to her attention, but she didn't seem to care. We also waited 45 minutes for a table on a Tuesday. I ordered a lemonade, thinking it was made like fresh lemonade, but it definitely wasn't. If it was made fresh, they need to revamp their process. Overall, I'm just pointing out the things that didn't work for me. The restaurant itself is cool, and the vibe is good. The food was also good, but there were just a few small details that affected my visit.
This place can get busy during lunch. We sat at the bar counter and service was a bit slow because they were busy. We got their garlic pizza with fennel sausage and ricotta and it was very good. Definitely a great spot for pizza with elevated specialty topping combinations. The restaurant was decorated with wood and moss for a rustic forest look. There is plenty of free parking available on the street or in nearby free structures.
Goat & Vine is an Italian restaurant located in the heart of Old Town Temecula. They offer pizzas, cold and hot sandwiches, and salads. There was free parking at the parking garage across the street. We put our name on the Yelp waitlist right when they opened and were seated within 45 minutes for a party of two. The mother's meatballs ($21) came with big two meatballs and were flavorful and cheesy. It also came with cheesy bread which was nice to dip into the tomato sauce. The jalapeño lime carnitas pizza ($30) was like a taco on pizza; it was cheesy but I thought it could've used more carnitas. The spicy italian sandwich ($18.50) was good with lots of meat and a hint of spice. The location is super central so it's usually packed. The pizzas are the most popular things here but they also have other offerings as well as cocktails, beers, and wine.
I stopped by The Goat and Vine in Temecula and had a really enjoyable lunch. The stone hearth kitchen vibe is welcoming, the service was attentive, and you can tell they put care into making things from scratch. The You Confit Me pizza was a highlight. It's garlic confit done right, paired with fennel sausage, fresh mozzarella, a touch of hatch chile honey for sweetness and heat, plus ricotta and red pepper flakes. It had great balance, a crispy yet chewy crust from the hearth, and the flavors popped without being overpowering. Definitely one I'll order again. The Favorite Turkey Sandwich on their house made sourdough was also excellent. Roasted turkey, creamy French brie, basil aioli, fig and balsamic compote, sprouts, and red onion came together beautifully. The sweet-savory combo from the figs really made it. Everything was tasty and well-prepared, the portions are generous and prices fair for the quality. Overall a great experience and I'd happily return to try more pizzas or their other sandwiches. Recommended!
Kristin was our server and she was great. All the food we had was delicious. We did the waitlist on Yelp even though it was a Monday night. We got there 10 minutes before the waitlist said our table would be ready and The hostess said we had a half an hour wait. So we were a little disappointed, but we waited and it was really only 10 minutes. The place is adorable and the food is delicious and just looking at everybody's food. Everything looked amazing. We had the best Chinese chicken salad that we've ever had and we also had the hot honey pepperoni pizza.
The restaurant itself is chic, esthetic and alluring. Definitely a vibe. My husband and I were seated at the bar and we had the most amazing experience. The bartender, Anthony, was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Orange Blossom Spritz Mocktail and it transported me to Italy. The aromatic flavors made me melt. Watching Anthony put it together was fun. He is a true professional and you can tell that he enjoys what he does. For food, we ordered the Breadsticks with House Sauce and the Hatch Chile Honey Chicken Pizza. Everything is freshly prepared and incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon.
Was visiting the neighborhood and this place is highly reviewed on yelp. Looking at their waitlist for two in the afternoon was like 90-120 min, so decided to do a late dinner at 9 but still a wait of 1 hour on a Saturday. The wait was worth it as their pizzas and salad are exceptional. read more

This place never disappoints. The pizza dough here is amazing -- are baked to perfection with no droop. The crusts are light and airy, and the toppings always taste fresh. They have classics like ricotta and pepperoni along with fusion Mexican pizzas -- we really liked their elote one. The salads are always super fresh and the desserts such as bread pudding are great too! Make sure to come early because it fills up fast. read more

What a great spot! I put myself on the waitlist about two and a half hours before I wanted to eat, and right on time, I got the notification that my table was ready. I checked in and was seated right away, super easy. Our server, Rony, came by pretty quickly and was so friendly and helpful. She had some great recommendations for drinks, appetizers, and entrées and just had such a warm, genuine vibe. It really felt like she enjoys what she does. My boyfriend got the El Guapo Margarita, and we shared the hummus plate and You Confit Me pizza. The hummus plate was a little overpriced for what we got, but it was fresh and tasty. The olive tapenade was hands-down the best part. The pizza, though, was incredible. The garlic confit, ricotta, and chili honey combo was perfect, and the crust was just right - - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Even the leftovers the next day were just as good. We're big pizza people, and we gave it an 8/10. The atmosphere was another highlight. The space is beautifully put together with tons of plants, cool light fixtures, and stylish decor. It feels trendy but not over-the-top fancy - - just the right balance. And I have to say, Rony really made the experience even better. She was so kind, attentive without hovering, and just genuinely good at her job. Her recommendations were spot-on. My mom and I visited The Goat & Vine for the first time and had an amazing experience! The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Our server, Daniella, was so sweet and kind. I was celebrating my 23rd birthday, and she was incredibly helpful with recommending food and cocktails. We ordered the Mother's Meatballs, Sangria, and the Hatch Chile Honey Chicken Pizza. Every dish was amazing! Daniella also surprised us with a birthday dessert, which made the experience even more special. We'll definitely be coming back! read more
Years later - still fabulous! My friend and I ate at the counter and enjoyed their Goat & Vine salad with Brie cheese, strawberries and added chicken (10/10). The chicken pesto sandwich was packed with texture, moisture and flavor (10/10). To end our delicious meal was the piece of resistance- bread pudding (10/10)! Decadent candied pecans, tins of whipped cream, moist and chewy bread chunks. It was so delicious! Eric was a great server. Good pricing and gorgeous ambiance. Visited here with a friend the other day. I had an amazing first impression just given how kind the service was! We got the garden goat and elote pizzas and thought both were absolutely wonderful. These both are vegetarian options too and still packed with so much flavor. I loved the ambiance and really enjoyed the glass of cab I had to go with my meal. This place is always busy and located in the heart of downtown Temecula. We knew we had to try it from all the recommendations. The inside has murals of goats covered in vines and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. We ordered a couple drinks to start out, one regular one mocktail. Both were delicious and very quickly made. The service was excellent and attentive which was great considering they were very busy. For dinner we ordered a pizza and the kicking chicken sandwich and potatoes chips. The sandwich was delicious and had the right amount of kick. The pizza was messy, and had so many sun-dried tomatoes it was almost bitter tasting. The pizza fell apart easily which made it difficult to enjoy. Overall a pleasant experience but be careful with the pizza quality. read more
The waitlist isn't the best, but worth the wait. I would recommend putting your name down but coming back in a hour. The pizza is the way to go here. You can't go wrong with any option. An hour and a half or 70 miles away from LA is Old Town Temecula. It is a town famous for its vineyards, hot air balloon rides, and the famous Glen Ivy Hot Springs. This time, I drove to meet up with my friends and classmates from grad school for our quarterly hang out. We decided to have brunch, or by the time we arrived, was already lunch, at Goat and Vine in Old Town Temecula. BTW, don't forget to join their Yelp waitlist as they seem to be very popular. Now, we know why... Of course, I went straight for a drink, I got my peach and strawberry Sangria. We started with The Hummus plate, filled with some colorful delights bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheeses, and breads. We also tried the Goat & vine salad, which I can say one of the best salads I've ever tried! We were feeling really hungry from the drive so we got two pizzas, The meat lovers aka The Butcher Shop pizza and the garlic lover aka You Confit me pizza. To celebrate our professional accomplishments and life millstones, they served us two desserts on the house, which was really sweet. The goat and vine salad was very acidic. The only thing that really stood out to me with this salad was the goat cheese pick and the amount of strawberries that were in this salad. The goat pizza was good and the hot pretzels were okay. The hot pretzels came with a beer cheese and mustard, but I don't know if it was a pretzel or a loaf of bread. It was pretty pricey but service was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was unique and fun as well. read more

FAVORITE place! My new favorite place! We're def coming back soon as the food was super healthy but also, and most importantly delicious. Like, how do I suddenly like hummus? The charcuterie board was a feast for the eyes & nose and palate. The jalapeño & lime carnitas pita bread pizza was so yummy I could not stop eating it! Look at that dessert! Come on! How could anyone not love that! It was like one of those mountain high mud pies but a reasonable size. We still split everything but had more than enough plus leftovers. Service was on point. Ambiance was a chill authentic bipartisan kind of vibe. The guy at the table next to us said a loud prayer to his female companion praying for the correct attitude which I thought could have been something he did silently. He then proceeded to lecture her and the world at large about the business market and proper conduct for televangelists. He complained about the pizza even though I could tell from the server that he had ordered wrong. She fixed it and apologized for the wait. The table across from us had a likable pair of young friends, one being supportive of the other transitioning and working on appearances. That was sweet and heartwarming. And there we were us lesbians who should already be liking hummus realizing we like it now over here in the corner! Anyway, whoever you are, you'll probably love it! We will be back! read more

The best dinner ive had in a while. What a great experience. Our waitress was extremely kind and thoughtful. The food is amazing. Nice, big portions that will definitely fill you up. Wow wow wow! This place is amazing, I will be dreaming of this food for a long time. There is a wait list for a reason this was 100 % worth the wait. To start we joined the yelp waitlist and waited about an hour or more thankfully it was super nice outside so we didn't mind waiting outside there are plenty of cute shops to walk around at while you wait. Ronnie was our server and she was very attentive and nice. We enjoyed drinks especially the lavender haze, the Caesar salad was amazing and the star of the show was definitely the pizza. We loved the Arnold it was delicious loved the addition of honey on the pizza and if you enjoy ranch their ranch is also super tasty. I wish we had a bigger party so I could try different pizzas as well. If I am ever in the Temecula area again this will be my first stop. read more
This restaurant has a really fun and lively vibe that's great for hang out and grab some drinks and good eats. Very popular place - so we waited 3 hours to be seated for weekend dinner. I would expect slower service during these peak times. Their cocktails were on a sweeter side but I didn't mind that. The pizza was delicious and the crust was perfect. We were at the wineries and looking for a spot for dinner. While closing up at the winery, I joined the waitlist since it said it be 30 to 45 minutes for us a party of 3. By the time we got there, our table was ready. We got seated right away and ordered breadsticks with homemade sauce. They were super cheesy and delicious. We then ordered the chicken parm and goats pizza with pepperoni. They were delicious and the perfect amount of crust. We got full pretty quickly given we had bread. The ambiance is super elegant but chill. It reminded me of a spot on downtown LA. Service was excellent and we definitely want to come back and try some more items when we are in the area. It was a holiday and there was plenty of parking, but there is also a structure around the block as well. read more

Came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and honestly, huge disappointment. We waited 1.5 hours to be seated at a dirty table in the back. Asked for a booth, add 30 more minutes. I kindly asked the hostess if they could add a candle or write "Happy Birthday" on the dessert plate (they use chocolate syrup already!) and she just said, "We don't do that." Zero effort for a special occasion. Ordered the Arnold pizza, took 45 mins. While flavor was solid, but all the toppings slid off. Had to eat it with a knife and fork like lasagna. The Jacked Cappuccino Ice Cream Cake? Icy and tasted old. If you're thinking about celebrating a birthday or special night here, Don't. Hot Pretzels 5/5 Hatch Chile Honey Pizza 4.5/5 Service 4.5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Overall 4.5/5 This Goat & Vine has been recommended to me several times! I was in nearby Murrieta Hot Springs and finally decided to stop by. Absolutely loved it! We came on a Saturday, but around 11:30 am so there was no wait. Shortly after being seated I noted that Yelp waitlist times increased to over an hour. I definitely recommend coming early to avoid the lunch rush. Service was pleasant and the food came out quickly. We were in the far corner, so I do feel that our waiter could have stopped by 1-2 more times to refill beverages, but overall still good service. The Hot Pretzels were amazing! 10/10 best pretzels I've had in California. Because of the swirl formation the middle of the pretzel is so soft and pillowy! The pizza was delicious! Crust was crunchy on the outside and somehow perfectly chewy. The Hatch Chile Honey Pizza was so flavorful and unique - I haven't had a bite of pizza like that before. If I'm ever in the area, I will be stopping by again! read more
Last Saturday night, to celebrate my wife's upcoming Birthday, our two sons and I took my wife/their Mom to this restaurant I have wanted to go to for several years now since they opened in their first location then moved to the fairly new Truax Building. This establishment does not take reservations but utilizes a Yelp wait list system. I made the mistake of misjudging the exit time of our concert movie and didn't pay attention to Yelp's suggested time to put my name on the wait list. After a short excursion around Old Town Temecula to find parking, (which is one of the reasons we have not eaten here prior), we luckily found parking in the Old Town Parking Structure. Upon exiting the ground floor of the parking structure, looking towards Mercedes Street, the Truax Building is across the street. The Goat & Vine is in this building's ground floor, on the South side. So walk across Mercedes Street and turn left and walk to the corner. Make a right, and you will see the restaurant on 2nd Street. I walked up to the very pleasant and friendly host standing at the podium situated at the entrance. I added my name to the wait list. We arrived around 1800 hours. I was advised that our wait time would be 2-2.5 hours, with a return time of 2003. I'm guessing this was to ensure the waitlisted party was close by, ready to be called and seated. We would receive a text advising us our table was ready. After walking Old Town Temecula, we sat on one of the few benches scattered near the restaurant. Even though we were dressed for cold weather, it was still chilly sitting there. Which is one of the minor drawbacks of waiting here: there is no indoor waiting area, and no sheltered area(s) outside to protect patrons waiting from inclement weather. Only option would be to sit in one's vehicle and wait until summoned. Finally, as we anxiously watch our name slowly creep up to number one on the list, we were summoned by text. At approximately 2015 hours, there were still quite a few folks waiting to be seated. Our server, Rony, introduced herself. She was so friendly and efficient. She quickly took our beverage order, then returned a short time later to take our entree orders. My wife and I wanted to try the Goat & Vine salad ($16.50) as an appetizer for the table; Wife: The Goats Garden Pizza $29.00 Son 1: Saloon Steak Sandwich $19.00 Son 2: Pulled Pork Sandwich $19.50 Me: The Butcher Shop Pizza $30.00 3 Soft Drinks: $3.50 each 1 Salt Lime Lager: $10.00 Pre-Tip Sub-Total: $145.20 Soon our salad arrived. Just my wife and I were eating the salad that was comprised of fresh greens, arugala, strawberries, cherry tomatoes with a medallion of a pecan encrusted goat cheese all bathed lightly in a champagne vinaigrette. Wow, this salad was so light and refreshing with that really tasty vinaigrette! While I'm not a big fan of Chèvre in general, I could see myself and my wife too, wolfing down a log or two with some nice crackers and wine. Goat and Vine, you need to retail both the Goat cheese and Vinagrette!!! Soon our entrees arrived. I have to admit, I think we were all a little disappointed by the underwhelming size of the pulled pork sandwich. Small sized pretzel bread bun with a very skimpy portion of pulled pork for $19.50. My son thought the kettle cooked chips were just a bit too salty. Our son's Saloon Steak sandwich, was a different story. This sandwich had a more generous serving of steak meat that our son really enjoyed. Like I told my wife, I was really surprised and proud that our more picky palate son was exploring new flavors and foods he typically eschews like blue cheese, jalapeños, lime crema. Our son barley came up for air, he was enjoying that steak sandwich so much. My wife took a taste of it and really like the flavor profile of it. My wife's garden pizza, exceeded her expectations of what she envisioned not to taste like. She's like me and our sons as well: we're all carnivores and veggie pizzas normally never touch our lips ever. But Goat & Vine's version captivated my wife both in flavor and the freshness and tastiness of the greens and veggies used. My Butcher shop pizza was awesome. All the meats topping the pizza was tasty and not greasy. There was just enough red sauce on the pizza without being slathered on which I hate. The crust was too thin for my liking making the pizza hard to pick up and eat. I had to use a knife and fork. The pizza's edge crust was my favorite part. Soft, billowy and chewy, I could eat that part alone all day long. For our very first visit here, The Goat and Vine delivered both with the high level of professional, attentive and friendly staff and excellent tasting food. Nothing ruins a dining experience faster than a bad host. In my opinion they set the mood from the second you walk in. Our encounter was a terrible one. This girl (with a ponytail and black glasses) couldn't have been worse. Maybe she was having a bad day but that's no reason to show up to work and take it out on paying customers. We made reservation on yelp, we were on the waiting list and when my mom showed up before us, not knowing that we're on the waiting list asked for a wait time for six. She said it'll be over an hour which was kind of odd because my mom said have to restaurant was empty. Keep in mind this was a Sunday around 4:30 PM. But we got there in time and they found out that we're on the waitlist after a while. They sat us down in a booth, which was extremely narrow and small, but we didn't mind we started to order and right away that they started bringing out the food and it was just getting so cramped and so uncomfortable so we asked if we can be moved. They were two bigger tables one next to us someone behind us. Our waitress asked to host who was already rude to begin with and she said no there are two parties that are supposed to come in so after 15 minutes of no-shows again we asked to be moved and they still refused. Keep in mind there's six of us cramped into a boost that may be seats for people are dining experience was extremely bad at this point and we're so frustrated just filling things and going over each other just to get a slice of pizza. The pizza was great but again the whole mood was just ruined because of how uncomfortable we were the whole time from the time we had asked to move. It was 35 minutes and I had time dead, and I even brought it up to our waitress who apologized many times and said she doesn't know why the host refused to move us and said that there's two parties coming in when clearly they didn't show up and no party was coming in. Anyways the food was fine but the service was terrible, which is such a shame because it was such a cute location and we had drove two hours from LA to go to a winery and we left the winery to eat pizza here and it ended up being terrible. read more

I haven't even finished eating and I already wanted to leave a review! First off, Kristen our waitress.... SO AMAZING! Not only was she super kind, she was on it with refills and thinking ahead. I would just check in on Yelp about an hour before you want to go. Yelp does a waitlist which is so handy and saves a lot of time. Yelp will even remind you when to join the waitlist if you want to set it up ahead of time.
