Want to start by saying that I appreciate a buffet in this beautiful Hotel Resort, we were excited to try for the first time. Mother's Day weekend was very full, and the line was pretty long we waited about 20 minutes in line to get to the front, and less than 10 minutes to get seated. Service was just okay, very sweet girl in the register. FOOD: many different selections of food, I appreciate that. The only issue is that 2/3 options are very underwhelming. I enjoyed the Italian section the most, with the pastas and pizza. I also enjoyed the chicken and BBQ wings on my plate, with a side of mashed potatoes and very sweet corn. The Asian section was pretty bad, and I love Chinese food, there was no Chow main, no Orange chicken, no potstickers. Fried rice was poorly made. The Mexican section was pretty bad, my bf got 3 tacos and he didn't enjoy, he said they were dry and underwhelming and we are Mexican. Dessert has a rating of its own 5 out of 5. No complaints in that department, a lot of great options, the chocolate fudge cake was the highlight of dessert for me. Overall, this buffet is mid, overpriced for sure, not worth the price. I am rating this buffet 4 star because it is probably the best value in this casino and area. The waiters are extremely efficient and courteous. Don't come here expecting Vegas style buffet as this is not Vegas pricing and quality. The overall size of this buffet it's much smaller than all the Vegas ones but of course don't forget where you are, Reno not Vegas! So the cost was about $48 for adults and $28 for kids. There are quite enough stations, there's a salad bar, Mongolian BBQ, Taco Nachos Bar, Carving station with perfectly cooked prime rib, ribs, briskets and yummy side dishes, Asian station with custom made pho or noodle soup, dessert bar, and seafood snow crabs and Fresh Oyster Bar. Well, my family and I didn't even eat here. We walked in on Sunday night to have dinner before the Killer Queen concert. The young lady at the cash register was extremely rude, and was irritated that we walked in. We were in line an hour before closing but we're told because of how busy it is they were going to stay about 45 minutes after closing to serve... sure enough they were putting food away 15-20 minutes before closing. Food stations all around the perimeter. American, Asian, Italian, etc, and of course desert. Well I eye the seafood buffet, but this Italian boy must start with the pasta station. I see the pasta and a sign says meatballs, but when I go for them there not there. Hmmm. Well next stud the seafood, Shrimp to be specific. Not bad but seems bland. First let me say the food is good. But.... Beware. Before you pay, know that there is a 90 minute time limit. This includes standing in line waiting for your food, choosing items, chewing, swallowing and walking around. I go out to dinner to enjoy my food and time with family and friends. Our time at the table is usually up to 2 hours. Since I realized I'm taking up a table I usually tip very generously. This time we were 30 minutes over our time limit, but getting ready to leave. The waiter came over, looked at our receipt and told us our time was up. He then went and "tattled" to the manager who came over and told us to leave. Our biggest complaint is that the time limit is stated on our receipt AFTER you pay. No where is it posted regarding the time limit before you pay, giving the option of going in or not. If I could give zero stars I would. We waited in line 2-1/2 hours and a group of people cut in line close to the front. A couple of guys in line ahead of us went and talked to security about them cutting in line. Security did nothing about it, even though the security woman said when she had walked the line she didn't recognize them. This buffet is pretty good. A friend of mine invited me to join her for brunch. So I did and we smashed away. It's definitely a very nice buffet. There's all sorts of different things you can get, but I did the omelette station which was very good. Then I went into the lunch items. The brisket was really nice and tender. I can taste smoke as well, so it's definitely a plus whenever my taste buds become aroused like that. The service was very good too. I haven't been here since the pandemic but not much has changed -dessert bar is still good. Probably the best selection for a buffet in Reno. I wish they had more cake options tho -seafood, there wasn't any good snow crab but plenty of oysters and crab claws. The lobster enchilada was good! -pho here is always good. Their broth is yum but the bowl is too big. Ask for a small portion. -prime rib is a bit to cooked. I did like the New York steak and the pieces of meat they left in the au jour -service was great.
