Crab Legs with fresh Garlic and spicy sauce. Amazing!
    Ashley H.

On May 30, 26 I want to shoutout the lady who was working the Mongolian grill who steams the crab legs and cooks it with all the flavoring. I have never experienced a buffet do this before and I didn't get a chance to show her my appreciation! Super super delicious, she made the best most flavorful crab legs. Thank you Chef!!!

We have been going to the main ballroom for 3 years for Thanksgiving and it has everything you can imagine. Each it gets more expensive and the quality goes downhill. This year the price went up to $79 per person. The two things that were excellent were the bisque and the Beef Wellington. The filet was overcooked and burned on the outside. All the desserts were awful, literally tasteless, I just couldn't finish any of them. My family had the turkey and found it dry. Any drinks were not included with the meal which was annoying. We decided to pass on going to this one again and are going to look for a new spot.

Food taste good. They have wide variety of food selection for brunch. From American, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean and Mexican food they have it. Great selection of desserts too. My wife and I enjoyed the crab legs, mussels, prime rib and barbecue ribs, chicken and shrimp just a little dry. Pho noodle soup are made to order and ingredients are fresh. Service was awesome! Wait staff greeted us with a smile. Ambiance is cozy. Looks like people are enjoying eating and having conversation.

We love the Grand buffet located inside Grand Sierra Resort. One of the best buffets in Reno. Came with a large party on Valentines weekend around 6:30pm. Line was long, but moved pretty fast. We waited about 45 minutes. Once inside, our server was amazing. Crab legs were huge. Prime rob was cooked well and tender. And pho was heart warming. Plenty of desserts to choose from as well. Pro tip: get a GSR players club and use it for a discount at the buffet.

After 10yrs I went back here with my family. The kids ate good. The steak is great, cooked perfectly! The omelette was cooked nicely. Tacos taste great! The Asian food was okay, I like the Siomai that most! My partner said it was 6/10. The seafood with snow crab legs are too fishy taste I ended up throwing all four legs. Dessert area my nieces enjoyed it! I like the truffle bar, I was excited for the canoli but the cream wasn't all the way just the tips. The mango was too sour. I enjoyed the strawberry mousse vegan cookies and the ice cream(cookies & cream). Overall, fam enjoyed.

Been here a few times but just mediocre. Nothing special besides the crab legs. There is a variety of food to chose from such as Asian, American, Italian, pho soup, tacos, and deserts and more. Its a convenient place to eat at when arriving at the hotel when you dont know what to eat or go outside the hotel. We basically ate the cold and heated crab legs. The waiter was quick at cleaning our tables each time we finished eating. I think we ate our money's worth.

This review is based on a FREE buffet earned on "Thursday gamble $300 for free buffet" night. Quality/Quantity - I overate... And I am a light eater. I soooo regretted it afterwards. Woke up the next day still feeling off. Might not eat for the next 3 days, lol. Following stations, I was not able to visit all as I just could not eat any more. Seafood - Okay, came here twice for that delicious crab! Mediterranean. Mongolian Grill. Asian Wok - Got a sample of chow mein, noodles. Pacific Rim. Pho Station - I skipped; it was too hot for soup. Italian - Got some delicious deep fried raviolis. Smoke House - My favorite station, got a rib, prime rib, etc. Taco Bar - Made to order, thank you. Americano. Saute Omelets, Pasta. Sweets - Got a little of everything. Make sure you get that delicious gelato, ice cream! Saturday and Sunday open for breakfast/brunch. Atmosphere - Decent size, I have been here during busy weekends when you have a full house. Today, even with a free buffet after losing $300, lol, the seating was still manageable. I have not been here in a while, as I just can NOT eat enough to justify the cost. Or worse, I eat myself sick as I did today... Which again, was NOT worth it. Plenty of stations, more Asian selections then I expected. Open 4 days a week see Yelp or website; closed Mondays to Wednesdays. Service - Just okay, basically self-service. Price - Free (after losing $300, lol) + generous tip. Otherwise $45+ tax for adults, which I feel is expensive for what you get. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success, we are only customers when we are hosting guests. But don't worry, we frequent all your other restaurants. :) And are still loyal customers to your casino.

5 stars only for our experience from Raul who was very attentive, super friendly and made sure our drinks were always full and our plates were cleared by the time we came back with another round of food. He really made our experience memorable with how kind he was. As for the food, a lot of options for stations- Asian, Italian, pho, American, carving, salad and desert, etc. however there was no MAC & cheese which was strange. My biggest concern was my undercooked chicken which scared me so I didn't eat it when I saw how pink it was. Traffic was mild for dinner, line was decent and the dining room was clean and not crowded. However more attention to the quality and consistency of food would be ideal. Overall, left feeling full and happy thanks to Raul!

Since Covid, there hasn't been a buffet that I was interested in going to. I was invited to the Grand Buffet and can now say, it's one of my go-to! For transparency, I visited on "Lobster night," where each guest had one ticket to a lobster and unlimited crab dishes. It was $69.00 per adult and $34.00 per child. I encourage anyone going to this buffet to look online/social media for special nights. Regardless, all of the normal food options were pretty tasty! I found myself enjoying the variety offered and went back for seconds. Will be recommending this buffet when asked, what's the best buffet in Reno/Sparks?

Do I need a reservation for a party of 4 for brunch?

The website did not state clear on the dinner menu, but the price was $58 on Friday and Sunday night, do they have crabs on those nights? Crab legs on Sunday brunch too?…

Do they always have crab legs? Or is this only on Friday and Saturday?

Sunday Champagne Brunch also. Sit in Pudy's section she's the best. Make sure to treat her well though

    Does it have time limit?

Be out before they close and if you take longer than 40 minutes, double the tip to make up for the wait staff not getting to turn the table. Enjoy yourself, relax, and check out the new Taco Bar.

Mexican, Chinese, American, a station where they would make a salad for you, pho, Mongolian BBQ, a Carvery station with all kinds of different choices, including ham, prime, rib, and even sausage. They had a dessert section, including cobbler, bread, pudding, cakes, cookies, pie, large selection of gelato, even cotton candy! They also had a selection of sugar-free desserts. Everything that I ate was amazing. Some of the things, The shrimp were fresh, the Mexican choices were good, I loved the dim sum, and I had both prime rib and some of the sausage. They had both salmon, and trout, and both of those were amazing as well. For dessert, I had a rocky Road gelato, (very creamy with lots of goodies inside...) the cobbler and the bread, pudding. the bread pudding was just the right consistency and delicious, the cobbler was nice and warm. I paid about $41 with the senior discount. If you are a senior or military/veteran, you have it added to your players card, and you qualify for the discount. Definitely worth it for the quality and quantity of the food. An excellent meal. I would gladly come back. Thank you.

Well here at the J casino I can assure you that even though this buffet doesn't look like much at first glance it packs a powerful wallop. There is no skipping the line, even if you are a higher tiered member. I actually like that because I find it to be fair. Just the way the good lord intended we eat at places of convenience. Luckily the line wasn't too long and the person behind the register was swift. Next our server was great! Her name was Janet and she also works as a nurse practitioner for elderly people, and you would think that would make her slower or perhaps a little too exhausted to keep at it, but to our surprise she was beyond helpful and the service was excellent. Prices are high as expected in this type of setting. But if you have deep pockets and a seafood craving it should fit the bill. Most if my experience is eating the AYCE sushi here. Yes it's about $12 more per person that if you want to AYCE outside the hotel, but the local's 20% discount evens it up. Selection is more limited than most AYCE menu's. Probably the most limited in Reno based on my experience. They don't have things like scallop, unagi, surf clam nigiri. Mussels only available as nigiri sushi not as an appetizer. Etc. Roll menu is decent, you will find something you like if you are into rolls. They are HUGE, so recommend ordering a half long roll when possible. They also have a selection of hand rolls. We got the Salmon Skin Hand Roll which was pretty mediocre as the salmon skin was overcooked, very dry and crunchy like it was a bit burnt. Fish quality it typically on par with the average AYCE place in Reno but overall a half step down from one of the most popular AYCE places just a few blocks North (Tokyo sushi) which is a madhouse during prime hours with long waits so if you can get seated quickly here the convenience of it being in the hotel may be the better choice especially if you want a nicer, special ocassion atmostphere. Service at the bar was not very good this time around. Waited 20 min for them to come get our card to pay. But generally at the bar, because you can order directly from the chef, the server doesn't have to come very often except to get dessert order or drink order. If they had a wider selection on the AYCE sushi menu and some of the texture of the fish (Salmon) was more firm and less mushy, it could be a 5-star experience.

I came here during the holiday, Mother's Day, which had an influx of guests at the restaurant. The server throughout my dining experience was Tori. She was recently hired as a new server and wasn't too knowledgeable about the menu as of yet. With that being said, I desired to show patience and grace since she was still in the training stage. I proceeded to order the following items for dinner: * Oysters on the Half Shell (6) * Lobster Bisque Bowl * $29 Special - Filet Mignon & Jumbo Shrimp with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes The entire occurrence presented as quite interesting, to say the least. I first received the oysters. It had arrived with an empty serving vessel, which was supposed to be filled with the mignonette sauce. Tori quickly fixed this mistake. The oysters met expectations in terms of freshness and quality. They were very delicious with the mignonette sauce, cocktail sauce, and lemon juice. Then, I received the Lobster Tomato Bisque. The soup was lacking in flavor and needed help in the seasoning department. I grabbed the peppercorn grinder, which was readily available at the table. Upon twisting the grinder, a lot of peppercorns fell into the soup unfortunately. I kindly requested that Tori replace the soup. A nearby table had the same situation, where an individual had a bunch of pink salt spill over the baked potato dish. Tori was also their server. I noticed that Tori pointed at me and mentioned to the party that I did the same action. When making that observation, I was quite embarrassed. I understood that Tori was trying to make the other table feel better but the finger-pointing provided a slightly unpleasant feeling to me. I finally received the Filet Mignon & Jumbo Shrimp with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes as the entree. However, it took a total of 1.5 hours to arrive at the table. It was quite long and a little frustrating, especially since I've noticed that a couple of parties that seated after me ordered the same meal deal and their food arrived before mine. The steak and shrimp were delectable. The green beans were bland (used butter, pepper + salt) and the mashed potatoes were decent in flavor. All in all, the evening at Boomtown Steakhouse was underwhelming. From the food taking a while to come out, sitting down at a wobbly table, the soup tasting bland, and the overall hospitality from Tori, the experience left some room to be desired. At the end, I truly appreciated the complimentary chocolate mousse dessert. This offering made up slightly for everything that had transpired. I don't recommend visiting this restaurant on a holiday, including Mother's Day. When I decide to return here, it will be on a regular weekday.

All of the cars are so beautiful. I added a couple of photos in my post of my favorites this year. For over 20+ years Brian has been coming to the Atlantis car show with his Corn Dog Stand! It's is the very best corn dog I have ever had! He has a family secret recipe that makes his corn dogs so amazing! I usually have at least three during the week!!! If you're at the HAN Atlantis car show be sure to stop by and try one, believe me you will thank me later! This year the summit racing move their booth over to the Atlantis, if you're looking for it. The Atlantis has show & shines with great prizes money, cruising, bands and entertainment always great! Fun things for the kiddo's and craft booth's galore. If you're in the area the first week of August stop by and check it out!

Stayed at the Atlantis this weekend. Came to Reno for a family reunion…read more The rooms are very nice and look somewhat new, however for this price I would expect a lot more. My cousins picked this location because they are members of a group who used this chain of hotels and casinos often. I personally am not attracted to gambling , so I don't frequent this type of hotel. As I said the rooms were nice, but this hotel caters to the gambling crowd. My cousins got their rooms on comp, because they gamble here so often and that is great, but if you are not a heavy gambler and you are not getting a free room I cannot recommend the Atlantis.

My favorite was the sirloin and the picaña (apologize if I misspelled). The hot table at the main line had 8 different food items, the salmon was one of my favorites. The service was amazing, our server Elena (apologize if I misspelled once again) was on top of the game. I had a red wine called Bonanza that paired really well with all the meats. Chicken thigh, sirloin, bacon wrapped filet mignon, lamb, and spicy sausage were other meat options we tried. All of them were amazing, my first time trying lamb. The restaurant is clean, pristine, it elevated my experience there. I will come back again...perfect to take the wife out. The restrooms have floss and mouth wash, that was pretty dope. Overall, one of the best experiences I have had so far.

This spot gets busy and the wait time can be long. Once seated, you get a rundown of how everything works. If you have been to a Brazilian steakhouse before, you'll be familiar with the set up. You have a chip to flip to green if you want to be offered more and then it can be flipped to red to signal you are taking a break. Wait staff are very observant and offer meats if your chip is green. It was nice when wait staff asked if there was an option we had not gotten to try yet and he made it a point to make sure it came our way at some point during the meal. I was disappointed with how some of the meat was cooked but it's understandable since it's a large portion to be served to everyone. Some of the lamb and sirloin were very dry. The tri tip and rib eyes were the best. Their salad bar in the middle is unlimited but of course you don't want to fill up on sides. I'd suggest the scallop potatoes and the mushroom risotto. Lots of drink options and wine. They were coming around serving a liquer 43 cocktail which was actually incredibly enjoyable. A little bit of a caffeine kick to get you through the heavy meal. Overall, better experience but there are still areas I think can be improved to make this even better and can stand with other comparable Brazilian restaurants around the CA/NV areas.
