*Beep beep beep* hot food coming through! Ladies and gentlemen the Halal Guys has officially opened and I am honored to be the 2nd to leave a yelp review. Of course I had to stand in line to snag the infamous beef gyro and chicken platter served with rice lettuce and tomatos. Went during their grand opening and all walks of live far and near came to the opening! As step foot into the restaurant, there they were the Halal guys themself greeted me with a warm smile! The ordering style is ez pz you tell the halal staff what you would like and bam you got it! They were workin like a well oiled machine. One of the ladies asked "would you like pita bread?" Oh you bet! I'd LOVE some pita bread. Pro tip if you dress up like a taxi cab and say *beep beep* as you order your food your meal is free!! Come give your local Halal guys the support. Word on the street they are trying to go back home to NY!

This place was amazing!! We picked it up for lunch and everything was awesome! I ordered the gyro bowl! It has lettuce, rice, gyro meat, olives, jalapeños and a white sauce! I'm obsessed! We also ordered pita bread on the side!

This establishment is much smaller than the one in Plano so there are probably 4-5 tables lining the wall. We order the Braised Lamb specialty and it was alright. I thought they had a fries dish with protein but that wasn't offered so I got a side of fries. Not the same. We ordered a specialty drink and it was okay as well. Nothing fantastic except the staff was really nice.

Yum yum yum yum yum! Delicious food & quick service. Perfect for take out on nights you're craving Mediterranean food. We've tried their Babaganush also which was delicious. Their baklava and falafels aren't the best, so I'd skip those!

don't underestimate the red sauce, cause it's spicier with the onions and peppers! the crust of the falafel was hard in texture and difficult to chew than usual, but everything else was good! love how fresh the lettuce and tomatoes are update: halfway eating through the platter, and I noticed a small piece of hair in the rice... first time this ever happened so I'm a bit disappointed :(

I really enjoyed my experience at the Halal Guys. The beef gyro was delicious, as well as rice, white sauce and garlic sauce. I was not a huge fan of the pita bread. The employees were friendly and quick. There are not a ton of seats, so I plan on coming here when I need a quick, high-quality to-go option!

    Combo Platter!! Go Get this!!

Off the busy Eldorado Rd right off Dallas Tollway is a NY street food staple that has been transplanted across the country. It's good, honest and flavorful food that I quite enjoyed. We walked in just before 9 and the line was short, I was working through my order within a couple of minutes. I went for a regular platter combo; beef gyro(yee-ro) and chicken. Service with a smile!! And everyone in their(towards end of shift)was smiling and welcoming Half the bowl if filled with lettuce and chopped tomatoes (super fresh!!). The other gets this gorgeous Yellow rice, and the combo and toppings on top. I went with onions and jalapeños. Plenty of white sauce and some red sauce on half my order (I know wifey will want some!) The flavors work together so well, there is a nice level of worth in the red sauce. Just enough to flavor it up and not too much to overpower the meal. It's really 2 small meals if you want it to be. I went for the one sitting and I will be full till late. This may be a late night spot going forward, I'd prefer this to the burger joints across the highway....a lot more!!

He checked on us often to make sure we had enough of the unlimited veggies and sauces. He chatted with us and constantly cleared our empty plates. He was the only server, but he was able to take amazing care of every table. He gladly changed the channel so we could watch the hockey playoffs and had us stand in front of the Japanese cherry blossom wall so he could take pictures of us on my phone. 5 out of 5 service It is a beautiful spacious restaurant with booth seating and counter seating (there is also a private room with a tv and a Shabu table set for 20). The tables are already set with plates, utensils, and pots with water and seaweed (kombu) 4 out of 5 for decor and ambiance I wish I could have liked the food more, but here's my honest opinion. I paid extra for spicy miso broth (I think an extra $2.50). They mix spicy miso paste into the water that is already boiling at your table. Even with hot drops, it was disappointingly bland. There are 3 dipping sauces: garlic teriyaki, ponzu (surprisingly sweet which I didn't enjoy), and peanut sauce (again bland). Nice that the sauces are unlimited, too bad they're not delicious tho. There were many choices of meat. I chose choice ribeye. You order by the ounce here so I ordered 8oz. High quality meat for the price. They give you a really small plate of veggies to start, but then if you ask for more (it's unlimited) they give you a giant bowl of spinach, tofu, carrots, mushroom, cabbage, and broccoli. You're also given white rice and your choice of noodle. I chose ramen, but it wasn't your usual ramen noodle. It was a tiny bowl with a handful of super thin noodles that took a long time to cook. 3 out of 5 for food Would I come back here? Yes! First of all the customer service wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. The cashier lowkey seemed annoyed as soon as I walked in. She wasn't like rude but she wasn't particularly nice either. Also, the pricing is kinda sketchy. They have a sign saying that the pricing they have up isn't accurate and is subject to change with inflation, which, I understand, but still. Even though it was kind of a red flag, I was already committed to the adventure! Plus, as much as I love food, I have no problem paying a premium for anything as long as the food is fantastic/the overall experience is worth it. I wanted to try a few things so I got the taco plate which comes with three tacos, and rice and beans and then I ordered two additional tacos a la carte so I could try other protein options. So the taco plate + 2 additional tacos (5 tacos total) up being $22.72. Which - seemed kinda wild, but whatever, obviously at this point, my expectations are through the roof! I got the Fajita Beef, Fajita Chicken, Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Barbacoa tacos. Unfortunately, none of them blew me away. The rice and beans were standard. The salsas were solid, as well, and extremely spicy! The fajita beef was the most flavorful of all the protein options, but everything else was just okay. Edible, yes. Fantastic? Absolutely not. I actually had to add more seasoning to each protein when I got home. Also, I noticed that, (with the exception of the fajita beef), the meat on the tacos was somehow pretty dry while the taco was greasy at the same time. Not sure how that's even possible. The Al pastor was the most disappointing. Not only was the flavor lacking, but it didn't come with pineapple, which is typically my favorite part. Also, nothing on the receipt was itemized, so I don't even know how much the taco plate was or if I was even charged correctly. For the price, I was expecting this to be an above average experience, but unfortunately, it was not. Definitely a bummer because I've been looking for a really good, tucked away, taco gem in the area, but baby this is NOT the one!

We tried their thali, so we could try a bit of all of dishes. They were so kind they let us make substitutions for the thali so we could try exactly what we wanted. With the very generous Thali offer that lets you mix and match as you please, you get any biryani, curry, tandoor item and naan of your choice!! I'm SHOOK at how nice of a deal it is! Most thali's have preselected items so the fact that you can choose exactly the items you want is truly a unique and special thing about this restaurant! We ordered the Karachi chicken biryani since it's their special, garlic naan, tandoor chicken and a lamb curry! It took about 15-20 minutes to get our food but it was worth the wait. We ordered to-go, however, once it arrived, the smell of the food was too good to resist so we just got a table to eat there. They provided bottled water as well. The food tasted home cooked and very very flavorful! I HIGHLY recommend this place when you are in the mood for some good biryani or chicken/lamb dishes! Everything is also Halal in case you only eat Halal! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Dallas.

I tried both the wrap and the salad bowl, and while the portions were solid, the flavor of the meat was pretty middle of the road at best. The spices and seasoning just felt bland overall and neither dish really stood out. The sauces were definitely the highlight and added a lot more flavor than the meat itself. One small thing that also felt odd was getting water in a tiny plastic Dixie cup. Not a deal breaker, but it added to the overall average experience. Decent value for the money, just wish the food had more seasoning and flavor depth. Clean inside....
