pros: quick service, casual ambiance cons: n/a this was a fun casual asian fusion brunch spot! the raspberry lemonade was super fresh and refreshing! the butterfly pea latte had lavender syrup but wasn't floral at all, tasted more like earl grey, yum! the chicken and waffles was really yummy, the chicken had a maple crust, the waffles were moist. i do wish the chicken filets were softer cuts, there were some dry/tough spots. my friends really enjoyed their garlic noodles and flying pig benedict.
Oh my goodness...I'm such a fan of all these Asian brunch places popping up and The Hangout did not disappoint! Food and service were excellent. They have outdoor and indoor seating available. The Hangover reminded me of a less creamy version of pasta carbonara with more spice and veggies which I loved! The ube pancakes are also a must, so get one to split for the table. Great brunch spot!
I was looking for a brunch place in Walnut Creek and found The Hangout. After entering, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Brunch + Asian Fusion. There were so many items that I wanted to try, but I only had one stomach. Came here on a Thursday morning and the restaurant was operating at around 20% capacity. The food: Garlic Noodle with Crispy Chicken - Garlic Noodles were tasty. The Crispy Chicken had really nice, almost tempura like batter. Wish it had a little sauce or something to bring it all together. Berry Lover Toast - Two large pieces of French Toast with a blueberry based inside, topped with a ton of stuff including sliced almonds, corn flakes, powdered sugar, sliced grapes and some thinly sliced oranges. There's a lot going on here. I did like the strawberry preserves as a topper - it seemed homemade and it wasn't too sweet. I didn't try any of my friend's Country Potatoes, but they looked legit. Good service and plenty of nearby parking. Properly named, as this is a good place to Hangout!
We felt very welcome and weee immediately seen to on this quiet Tuesday morning. The menu has all what breakfast and lunch you might feel like. I was warned portions weee big so I went for a pondered 2 eggs at $15. My daughter had the pancakes with berries and bananas and chocolate sauce with loads of sliced almonds. She also had a hot chocolate , I felt that was over priced at $6. We went for the counter as it was very quiet. Service was quick and the food delicious.
When you first walked into the restaurant, it definitely looked like a really great place to eat and hang out with friends hence the name the hangout. The decoration is very simple yet very welcoming. The drink was kind of tasteless and very watery. It didn't really taste like the Ube flavor. Or that it has been washed down. The pancake was good. The chicken and waffle were actually really good. Chicken was tender and waffle with crispy with a hint of honey was the perfect combo.
My sister went to The Hangout at Pleasant Hill but they put our party down for the one in Walnut Creek - how does that happen? I'm glad it did because she said there were a lot of people waiting outside at the PH location. By the time we made it to WC, our tables were ready. There were no long wait times for anyone who came after us, maybe 5 minutes. Crowds started thinning out around noon. This was the 1st time any of us dined at The Hangout and it did not disappoint. The staff was very inviting and friendly. The person who took care of us was very helpful with explaining menu items and making suggestions. We were a large party so they had to split our tables but we were right to each other. There is a spacious dining area as well as outdoor seating. Standout dishes: Chicken & waffle - BIG portion. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. It was so good, the entire plate was wiped clean. Crispy chicken with garlic noodles - delicious combination. The garlic noodles were made with real garlic, not just powder. They need to offer this as a side dish. Chicken pops - chopped up, sample size version of the chicken and waffles. Perfect for sharing. We will definitely come back to this location if we're in the area.
Located within a plaza with plenty of parking. Came in for brunch with a few friends and it was a packed house. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We selected outside seating. It was a nice day. Their menu has extensive options. Menu option reminds me of Hawaii but with an international twist. Ordered Ube pancakes, Chicken Katsu curry over rice, breakfast scrambled and grilled cheese with fries. Ube pancakes were really delicious and it was not too sweet until you drizzled the ube syrup. Curry chicken katsu was loaded with fried chicken topped with an egg with potatoes. Wished they had more curry sauce but overall it was delicious. Portion was large. This is a shareable dish. Breakfast was okay imo. Nothing special. It came with muffins and roasted potatoes. Grilled cheese with fries were on kids menu option. This is not something for one kid to eat. Large portions. Pricy but it is large portions so it is worth it. Our server was very attentive. He checked on us often which I like. Will definitely come back to try other items.
Absolutely love this place. I would go back in a heartbeat. The food tasted as good as it looked. All 3 of us were satisfied with our meals completely and definitely want to go back for more and try them again and again and again. I got the Monster Hotcakes that comes with 3 different pancakes and 3 different syrups for the 3 different pancakes. Can you say over the top awesome, you don't have to, I just did haha. It also comes with two eggs, I got scrambled and two meats, I got chicken sausage which was really good. It also comes with French toast and fruit. I was so happy. The only down fall is the cutting board it is served on looks great for presentation but not very functional with syrup being poured. The garlic noodles and crispy chicken was on point as well and the Loco Moco was good too. I must go to destination location Pro Tip : go early on the weekend or on a week day when they are less crowded. We went at around 11:30 am on Saturday and we still got in but they was packed even outside. Worth the wait either way.
Came here because of the great reviews. To me, it seems like this place is a little over hyped. It's really cute inside, and the staff was friendly. Maybe I just didn't get the right thing, I'm not sure. I just wasn't super impressed. I ordered an omelet and as soon as it came out, I could tell that the eggs were overdone/burnt. That is my pet peeve with eggs, and feel that for a breakfast spot, it should be a big no-no. Eggs just do not taste good when they're not done properly. They did not have sourdough bread so I ordered the English muffin, but it was so hard and thin, it reminded me of a hockey puck. I wasn't really a big fan of the potatoes either. My husband ordered the Benedict and he said that his was pretty good. He did say, though, that there was almost too much ham--like it wasn't well proportioned. That being said, he did enjoy it. He didn't really care for the potatoes either. I ordered an iced coffee that was really good. All in all, I probably wouldn't be back but it was alright.
We love this place! Before I start, just be aware that on weekends, the wait could be lengthy, especially if you have a party over 5 people. All the time that we've been here, the service has been great! They were friendly, efficient, and competent. Some are more friendlier than others but that's ok. The portions are HUGE, so come hungry. The chicken and waffles is amazing. The chicken was well battered and seasoned just the way I like it. The outside is crispy and the inside is tender and juicy. The pancakes are also great. My favorite is the Ube pancake with the Ube syrup. It's not overly sweet but sweet enough to satisfy if you're craving something sweet. The pancakes are cooked perfect, is not doughy but soft and fluffy. There's plenty of private parking and though the place is a good size, it can be crowded. On a nice day, you can opt to have outside seating which is a nice touch. 100% recommend.
After coming back from Hawaii, I was craving one pancakes. A friend told me about their favorite brunch place which happened to be here. I have only been to their PH location years ago and remembered it was good, having their Chicken n Waffles at the time. We had a late lunch and arrived around 2ish, just under an hour before they closed. Got the ube espresso (which is pretty much a latte) 4/5 and ube pancakes ofc. If this were just pancakes, it'd be 5/5. But since I am comparing it to YogurStory's (in HNL) ube pancakes, I am giving it 3.5/5. The fresh fruit toppings, fluffiness and soft texture was nice. The ube flavoring was powder vs the natural coconut flavors, as it sat on my tongue the whole time. IYKYK. Sauce wasn't too sweet but lacked the true ube flavor I was hoping for. DD ordered the chicken katsu and absolutely LOVED, as did I from the bite she shared with me. jasmine rice. Mild curry sauce. Crispy chicken. Soft Yukon potatoes. Everything was very well balanced. 5/5 She also enjoyed her Butterfly tea drink that was blue colored. 5/5 Hubs ordered the local moco which was curry sauce vs tradl gravy. 3/5 He said it was okay. His hot matcha was good. 4/5 Overall, this was like solid 4. Will be back to try the garlic noodles. That looked really good
We drove to Walnut Creek to try to check the Hangout. It was a busy weekday morning with several people inside. We're just lucky to find a table for us. It's almost lunchtime and we wanted to check their special menu. I ended up getting the Hangover consisting of stir-fried Italian noodles, Basil, Bell pepper, Onion, Mushroom, CK Apple, Bacon and fried egg The vegetables are fresh and the noodles are soft. I liked this combination of vegetables and noodles as well as the bacon and fried eggs. The plate is big in portion. Next time, I will try their breakfast plate. I read a lot of positive reviews on this. Until next time.
We regulars at the pleasant hill location and had to check out the new location in Rossmoor. Location- plenty of parking available, shares a shopping center parking lot. Waitlist- quoted 18-33 min wait, only waited 5-10 before getting called The line always looks long but it moves fast and it's worth a brief wait! Order- Siam tea- 10/10 great classic Thai tea Raspberry lemonade- 8.5/10 super fresh! Leans very tart, not syrupy sweet Chick pops- we always get this at the other location, and just like always, they were 10/10 Garlic noodles- 8/10 they're tasty but slightly lacking something to take it over the top Katsu curry- 10/10 the chicken is the perfect carrier for the curry gravy, and everything on the plate just complements each other so perfectly And the actual reason we came here: the pancake. I'm not a big pancake person but the hangout pancakes are so tasty and fluffy and delicious they're really the only ones I'll eat!
We loved this breakfast spot! We came on a Sunday around 9am and there was plenty of space available. The restaurant is located in a lot with LOTS of parking. I ordered a Black Sugar Matcha- never heard of that before. Tasted like matcha with a brown sugar syrup (kinda tasted like the syrup that boba pearls are in, but there are no boba pearls). I LOVED it! It is on the sweeter side, but not overly sweet. We ordered the Monster Cakes- which came with 3 pancakes, French toast, 2 eggs, and 3 pieces of bacon. It was definitely enough food to share (at least for two young ladies...). The highlight was the Thai pancake with the Thai sauce! So good!! The ube pancake + ube sauce was also great. The original pancake was also solid. They are very generous with the sauces for the pancakes- we doused our pancakes and still had some leftover sauce that they gave us containers for to take home. The pancakes themselves are fluffy and have a nice light crisp to them. The French toast included was also good- we liked it even more with the Thai/ube sauce instead of syrup. We requested our eggs over-easy and they were perfect. The bacon was also cooked to a perfect crisp. We ordered a side of potatoes and it was more than we expected! They were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. We would have preferred more seasoning on them and maybe for them to cut a bit smaller, but they were still good. The servers super sweet and happily answered all our questions. I would definitely come back / recommend this spot! read more
This is one of my favorite brunch spots! This location has a larger indoor dining area than the PH location, and I've had a couple group brunch dates with my girlfriends and didn't have to wait long. Hubby and I also love bringing here and will share a couple dishes. The food is consistently delicious and service is always attentive and warm. Their ube pancakes are my favorite compared to other places. The pancake melts in your mouth, and the syrup has the perfect ube flavor. Their potatoes are also the perfect savory side, crispy and just enough of salt on the outside. Mmmm so good! Their portions are also generous so plates are good for sharing! read more

Lovely restaurant with pretty of parking outside. Outdoor dining included at patio. Service was great. Staff were nice and helpful. Lots of options on menu for food and beverages. The crispy chicken sandwich was huge with multiple pieces of chicken. Thai tea espresso was especially yummy. I had the hot one. Garlic noodle I added shrimp. The shrimp was a bit on the first side and the garlic noodle taste like shrimp scampi overall. The monster hotcake was huge and good to share with at least 2 people. read more

Let's get right to it--this place is vibey and made me feel like I was sitting at a restaurant in Hawaii. If you're looking for a tasty lunch or breakfast spot, you won't be disappointed. We ordered the Gai Gra Prow, which was super flavorful--gave off a Thai basil/garlic kind of vibe. Really tasty. Portion was huge (lots of rice--I would've been happier with more meat). It came with one fried egg on top. Price: $21. Next up: Crispy Chicken & Waffle. HUGE portion--easily enough for two people. Not oily at all. The waffle was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The chicken? Crispy, tender, and honestly one of the best chicken and waffles I've had. Price: $24. Lavender Latte: $6.50 -- smooth and floral, solid pick. Service was great--everyone was respectful and polite. Our waitress gave solid recommendations and made the experience even better. I had the berry lovers toast omggg yum and my mom had fresh squeezed oj, the side of fruit and an avocado with some tea and just so impressive on the presentation. It was Xmas eve and we wanted to enjoy a hearty breakfast/brunch. The Hangout in Walnut Creek was the perfect spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city . Located in a Safeway shopping center on Tice Valley, it seemed more accessible and more parking than the Pleasant Hill location. We were seated right away at 10 am. Service was excellent .....attentive water service and the food came pretty quick after ordering . The food was fantastic ! The Lemon Crème Anglaise was a nice presentation of 3 pancakes with mixed fruit and a light lemon sauce . This was not overly sweet and the pancakes were pillowy delish . A good choice to share . The garlic noodles with crispy chicken is super filling for one person . The noodles were garlicky al dente spaghetti noodles with a perfect juicy crispy fried chicken. The combo was perfect for any hearty appetite. The crispy chicken katsu curry meal was the hit ! Omg this was so tasty and the portion size was again so large two people could share. Lastly , the eggs Benedict with bacon , avocado , and tomato , and hollandaise was also a very tasty dish . Hey this place is a winner and you need to fill your belly with this tastiness . Came here while some friends were visiting and was pleasantly surprised. If I was not told about this place I would have been missing out - their serving sizes are huge and picture perfect! Our table ordered an omelet that came with crispy potatoes, loco moco, ube pancakes, and chick katsu curry. Everything was delicious besides the curry which was a little bland. All the food came out fast and service was great. read more
This is in a shopping center with plenty of parking on Tice. I've been to the PH location but my first time at the WC location. We went during a week day after 1 pm. No line and we were seated immediately. I had the Ube Espresso and the white chocolate mocha with caramel. The Ube was strong but yummy. The white mocha was sweet but tasty. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crunchy and the waffle was not as crunchy as I usually like but good, with a generous portion 3 pieces of chicken. The other plate crispy chicken Benedict. It was perfectly cooked fried chicken, egg and potatoes. It was all delicious. We will be back to try some more dishes. read more

Service felt rushed, I get that they're trying to turn tables on a Sunday, but two different servers coming to take your order when you barely sat down and haven't had a chance to go over the menu yet. Instagrammable Appetizing Definitely beautiful visual platings! The little details are what attracted me to going. However, for the prices the food didn't meet my expectations. Both the chicken in the chicken benedict plate and chicken and waffle plate were cooked in what appeared to be old oil (some chicken pieces had oily, black pieces like old oil), and the chicken had a weird consistency and flavor. The potatoes were great and well seasoned and that's all my husband and I ate, along with the ube pancakes. The servers didn't check up on us as often and the greeter didn't have the most polite attitude. The young girl that helped us pay did take away one plate and was kind. read more
All I gotta say is WHOA- generous portions! Took our friends to brunch and we all ordered something different. No shortage of options here from omelettes to burgers to noodles and pancakes- so much good stuff! Service so kind and attentive- felt like I was in Hawaii with the feel good vibes and bustling atmosphere. Oh and clean bathroom!....always an indicator of what's going on in the kitchen. Arrived a little after 1 on a Saturday afternoon with my group of 4 for a late brunch! The restaurant is located in a little plaza so it wasn't difficult to find parking. We walked in and were seated immediately. Some of us had looked through the reviews and remembered people mentioning liking the crispy chicken but that the ube pancakes didn't have much flavor, so we ultimately decided to get the Garlic Noodles with Crispy Chicken and Che Thai Pancakes. Since there were four of us, we also got a Sausage Scramble and split the three dishes family style. - Garlic Noodles with Crispy Chicken: wasn't sure what to expect from the photos but I definitely see why this is one of their house specials -- chicken was super crunchy and quite enjoyable to eat! I also liked the noodles and they give you a pretty big portion of it - Che Thai Pancakes: doused them in the sauce and it definitely had a strong thai tea flavor. Also not too sweet! - Sausage Scramble: we opted for ciabatta toast and the crispy potatoes for the sides. The scramble itself was pretty standard (enjoyable!) but sides were nothing to write home about. The potatoes were more like roasted potatoes but wouldn't exactly call them crispy We did have a bit of a mishap where 1 of the 4 cups we were served for water was empty (only had ice) but thankfully we didn't have to wait too long for another one of their staff to fill it for us. Overall enjoyed my time here! I don't live in the area so don't see myself coming back, but if you're nearby, I think this is a pretty solid place for brunch! read more

I wish there was still a tip section on Yelp where you don't have to leave a long review to say a quick tip. My quick tip is they close 2:30pm on Memorial Day. I think they normally close 3pm. I've had mainly good experiences here, one bad one. The bad one was a really one off situation due to them rushing but they made up for it with a gift card (certificate). Food is always delicious here, but man the prices. Expect an average of $25-30 per person. Lemon anglaise pancakes are the move here every time. I was really excited to see that The Hangout had opened a second location and this one is in Walnut Creek! Stopping in for a midweek breakfast I was able to be seated on their patio and order a hot chamomile tea (Tea Forte), a couple egg whites, potatoes, and a side of ciabatta bread with butter. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and incredibly friendly. All in all, I love that The Hangout now has a closer location, although I will definitely miss the gorgeous trail that's right next to their other location! read more

I was in this restaurant in Walnut Creek up by Rossmore last week my friend ordered the chicken and garlic noodles. Her dish arrived. Nice big slices of moist chicken with her noodle. It was delicious that day,today I ordered it on DoorDash. The noodles were fine. The chicken were small little dried up pieces of grizzle my dog wouldn't even eat it. One of the best brunch spots in the East Bay! I can single-handedly go here for their bloody Mary's, which is made with Soju and is seasoned AF. I ordered the berry toast and the hangover to share. The hangover was the perfect amount of seasoning, & just tasted like a home cooked meal. The berry toast came with a really good brioche bread, but I wasn't a huge fan of the yogurt and the very sauce. I think I'll try the Ube pancakes next time! Went on a Saturday at 10 AM and we were seated immediately. If you're coming with a group, I suggest getting there early because by the time we left, there was a long wait outside. Had the Lemon Creme Anglaise Pancake and a dirty matcha, the food wasn't bad just your usual pancake the lemon crème was pretty good the dish itself was more of a desert to me which isn't always a bad thing if you enjoy something on the sweeter side. The dirty matcha I don't think I'd get again the matcha was very much on the grainy side not super smooth and the taste just wasn't right for me. After hearing a friend rave about The Hangout, a few of us came here in early November. She and her sister had been to the Pleasant Hill one prior to the Walnut Creek location opening. I got the farmer's scramble and one of my friends got the Thai tea pancakes. Unfortunately, I don't remember what our other two friends had but I think one of them was a seafood omelette or Benedict. The Farmer's scramble was quite filling with a generous amount of tofu and veggies (kale, peppers, onions, mushrooms, & tomatoes) but it lacked flavor. I got potatoes and English muffin as my sides. The potatoes were the best part of the dish. One of my friends got one of their large cocktails. I tried the Thai tea pancakes and could definitely taste the Thai tea flavor. Today I came here with a friend after a hike around Lafayette reservoir. I got the ube pancakes and she had the stuffed French toast. I loved that the ube pancakes were not overly sweet. Friend liked the French toast but tasted a bit different from what she was used to. Both times I had the ube latte, which comes with whipped cream and sprinkles. A must if you love ube! Though there's a bit of a wait, it's not too bad as you put your name down on the waitlist and they text you when your table is ready. The waits have never been more than 30 mins. Service is friendly. Word to the wise that the restaurant is a bit noisy. The noise is especially noticeable at the bar where the action was happening. Another great restaurant from The Hangout :) My partner and I are big fans of their Pleasant Hill location and were stoked they opened another in the area. This restaurant has a big shared parking lot and is located in the corner of the lot. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and it's next to a quiet little plaza great for walking around after. The staff here is so great. We brought our puppy and checked in and after we were seated the staff said to let them know asap if you have a dog so we could possibly be seated quicker. Even though we were outside we were checked in on frequently. The food was as yummy as the Pleasant Hill location with different menu options. We ordered the chicken n waffle app, chicken katsu curry, and ube pancakes with drinks. read more
Been wanting to try this spot for brunch and finally was able to go with the family. Went on a Saturday morning and got seated right away for a party of 5. We ordered the following: Avocado Toast, Garlic Noodles with Crispy Chicken, Monster Hotcakes and a side order of Fries. The food came out fairly quickly and everything for the most part was delicious. The garlic noodles were on point and the crispy chicken was really good. For the Monster Hotcakes, it came with 1 Thai pancake, 1 Ube pancake and regular Buttermilk pancake along with 1 French Toast and 2 eggs and bacon. This was perfect for me to try a little bit of everything and plenty to share with my kids. I really liked how the Thai and Ube sauces were hella sweet but perfectly paired well with the pancakes. Definitely a great go-to spot for brunch! Walk in and enter your info into the iPad to get on their waitlist. It goes by quick, at least in my experience. At my first visit, the estimated wait was 20 minutes, but I was texted/called in 10 minutes. At my second visit, the estimated wait was 16 minutes and we were called in maybe about 10-15 minutes. I came twice in one week because the first time was so great. The staff was on top of refills for bottomless mimosas, the food was great, and the atmosphere was enjoyable as well! Outdoor seating, super cute decor inside, and instagram-able photo ops if you're lucky enough to get a table in front of them. Ube pancakes and Ube latte 5/5 - both of these are a must try! They were both very mild and not too sweet. Great ube flavor. I suggest getting the ube latte hot, it tastes better than when it's iced imo. Presentation was on point too :) Thai-tini and Wake Me Up 5/5 - Must try! As someone who absolutely hates the taste of alcohol and rarely ever drinks, these were so good, they actually made me discover I think I'm a soju girl lol. Loco Moco 5/5 - both my coworker and my bf had this and each of them took their first bite and went "Wow." I think that sums it up. Under the Sea Omelette 3.5/5 - I enjoyed it because I love my seafood and eggs, but there wasn't anything particularly special about the taste of this dish. Would order again though for a hearty and savory breakfast! Chick Pops 5/5 - YUM!!!!! All that needs to be said. Overall great food, great energy, and excellent service. Drinks: *Thaitini: Thai tea + Soju *Iced Pink Beet Latte *Turmeric Spice Latte *Dirty Chai Latte Eats: *Cha Thai Pancakes *Ube Pancakes *Farmer Scramble *vegan *Avocado Toast *Chick Pops appetizer It's rare to see Thai tea pancakes on the menu. Both the Thai and ube pancakes weren't too sweet & were loaded with fruit! Fluffy & indulgent with a side of flavored sauce to drizzle on. Farmer Scramble was plentiful with tofu, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and baby kale. Choice of potatoes or mixed salad plus toast. We got ciabatta. Avocado toast had a twist of fresh strawberries and bits of fresh mozzarella cheese topped with greens. Chick Pops had crispy bites of fried chicken and cut up waffles flavored with maple syrup and an aioli dip. Aw this restaurant and the owners are great! Visited my mother last week and this is her go-to favorite breakfast and brunch spot. In fact, we went there twice when i visited. The Hangout is located west of the Rossmoor senior gated community in the Safeway plaza. Very easy to find. The food was amazing! Being a fan of pancakes, I ordered the Ube and the Lemon. My favorite between the two was the lemon, but the Ube was really good too. I'd order both next time depending on my mood. Service was top notch. The proprietors and their staff are so friendly and accommodating. Truly a great family run business. read more

This is the newest location for The Hangout with the original in Pleasant Hill off Morello. American breakfast with some Thai/Island fusion (the trend these days) which I appreciate considering breakfast isn't my favorite meal of the day. :: HANGOVER - spaghetti tossed with diced bell peppers, mushrooms, basil, apple sausage, bacon and topped with an over-hard egg. Simple enough dish but had lots of flavor with some chili-flake kick. 4/5 :: CHICKEN and WAFFLES - many of these Asian-fusion spots have this on their menu but not all do it well. The Hangout does a good one - lightly battered dark meat chicken, and not greasy. 4/5 Overall, 4-4.5 stars! Service simple with someone replenishing water and walking around. Place was packed by the time we left. A few tables for outdoor dining with your pup. The Hangout is worth another visit to try other items like the garlic noodles and basil chicken. Plenty of lot parking and shared with Safeway in the Rossmoor Shopping Center. Best time to visit is a weekday or early on the weekend. read more

Ube. Pancakes. Their brunch at the WC location is a must for any brunch lover. This place is home to delicious foods, and I am ashamed to admit, but the only place that actually led me to say I'd pass on a refill of the bottomless mimosa. Their service is lovely, the wait is never too long, and they can happily make accommodations for dietary restrictions. No matter what we order, we have to get a side of the ube pancakes as a dessert and sweet treat to enjoy a bit later at home. I've had others but none measure up to the hangouts. Honestly, the cat photo in the bathroom is a riot. We brought our dog to sit on the patio and they brought her a little water bowl- loved that. read more
we sat down pretty quickly and were served almost right away. the whole setup is super nice and comforting and you can tell a lot of big groups like to go here not only for the food but also the space to talk and catch up with people. food wise, it was really really good. i don't normally like japanese curry at 10 am but for this place i'll make my exceptions. the curry was super rich and the chicken was super crunchy and crisp despite being soaked in the curry. my family always love their meals as they have large portions and really good bang for your buck. i've gone here twice and will continue to go because it's one of the better brunch places around! read more
Thai/American breakfast fusion spot. The portions are huge (enough to share for two) and taste perfect. I would recommend going to this location which is located near a senior living area but there's usually no wait. I've been to the pleasant hill one and it's much smaller and always long waits. read more

This was a recommendation from my niece living in Lafayette and wow I'm so happy she did!! Got there early-ish, maybe 9:00 AM on a Friday.....plenty of seating. Everyone was nice and friendly and answered our questions with patience. Small outdoor patio to dine out when the weather is nice and in California the weather is always nice. IMO, considering I live in Texas!! We couldn't decide what to order so we shared the Monster Pancakes and Chick Pops. Wow. So good. We also ordered 1 mimosa and it was so good we ordered another. Very fresh juice! And they have Decaf coffee for my dietary issues. Yes please. Highly recommend visiting this establishment. You will be happy with all of the options.
