The Henry is easily one of the most aesthetic spots on the island. The whole indoor-outdoor setup is stunning, especially if you snag a table out on the patio under the classic green-and-white striped umbrellas. It has that perfect breezy, upscale coastal energy without feeling stuffy or overly formal. The menu handles everything from coffee and bakery runs to full sit-down meals. For breakfast, we got the California Bowl loaded with eggs, fresh avocado and a massive side of perfectly crispy, thick-cut roasted potatoes is incredibly satisfying. If you're leaning toward something lighter for lunch, the chopped salad is stacked--packed with huge chunks of avocado, fresh tomatoes, and plenty of blue cheese. Service is super sharp and welcoming, matching the polished look of the space. You definitely pay a bit of a premium for the prime location on Coronado, but between the gorgeous patio atmosphere and the solid execution on the food, it's a great choice for a long weekend brunch or a relaxed bite in Coronado.

Henry's was one of the highlights of our Coronado vacation. The food was amazing, and the service was truly first-class from start to finish. We're especially glad we met Chef Isaac, who recommended Henry's. We're so thankful we took his advice and gave it a try! You can tell everything is made fresh and prepared with care. Our table ordered the California Bowl, Harvest Bowl, Ranchero Bowl, and Eggs Benedict, and every dish was outstanding. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were fantastic, and everything arrived perfectly prepared. Since we were on vacation, we decided we'd have dessert with brunch and I am so glad we did! It tasted like it had been baked fresh just for our table. If you're looking for exceptional food, outstanding service, and a restaurant that clearly takes pride in every detail, Henry's is a must-visit in Coronado. We'll definitely be back.

It was good I guess. The eggs were fluffy. The potato had a phenomenal texture. The bacon also had an unrealistically even crisp to it. I've driven past this joint so many times, and it always seems slammed. I finally strolled in at mid-morning on a cloudy Friday, and it was still quite busy. It took almost half an hour to get my food. And I thought the portion was kinda small. Aside from that, I don't know, this place seems.....too generically middle class American for me. I can't imagine being impressed by the flavor of anything served here, but I can't call anything bad either. Wait, yes I can. When the bartender gave me a refill on my coffee, it was lukewarm from sitting out too long. That was bad.

Very posh restaurant with a cool, stylish atmosphere. I loved that you can see into the kitchen through a glass wall separating it from the dining room -- it adds a fun and modern touch to the experience. Service seemed to vary depending on who was helping you. I wouldn't describe it as especially warm, but it was efficient. The drinks were excellent, and they offer a great selection of coffee options as well. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. We only ordered one dish to split, and some parts were fantastic. The hollandaise sauce was delicious, and both the potatoes and side salad were very good. However, the English muffin underneath was a disappointment -- it didn't seem toasted at all and lacked any color or texture. Since the muffin is a key part of the dish, it left me feeling a little underwhelmed overall. I'd still like to come back and try other menu items, so I'm hoping this was just an off day rather than a reflection of the food as a whole.

Anticipating a stellar dinner while in the San Diego area. Interesting interiors has both old style leather booths and also modern chairs and bar seats. Attentive service overall. The harvest bowl salad is a mixture of roasted squash, quinoa and greens plus glazed sweet nuts among the crunchy greens. Butter pasta with grilled chicken for the toddler. Excellent braised short ribs over smooth mashed potatoes- tender and tasty. The Chilean sea bass was unfortunately a tad overdone and dry, but the manager generously comped this dish. We finished off the dinner with an amazingly delicious gooey molten butter cake that was topped with a pour of caramel. Street parking was packed for a late dinner (past 8 pm) but we snagged one just in time for our reservation. Hand crafted cocktails Paloma and High life also great. Nice area to explore in daytime.

I was really impressed with the polish and attentiveness of the staff. We were a group of six for brunch and were seated at a large table in the interior. We enjoyed the open kitchen, the high ceilings, the breeze and the comfort! We didn't have reservations and it was Mother's Day weekend so we expected to wait and I'm glad we did. I had a delicious granola bowl, a few people in my group had the Eggs Benedict on the house-made English muffins (so good) and there was a very happy avocado toast in the mix. We shared an epic French toast with magical cinnamon syrup - really recommend the French toast!! Loved it enough to add it to the rotation when visiting San Diego.

Usually this place is recognized for its brunch, but i decided to come by and try their dinner menu ! I ordered the following below: *Korean Prime Skirt Steak: 5/5 - I asked for my skirt steak medium rare and man was it cooked so well. Underneath was fried rice, bok choy, veggies and a nice creamy Korean sauce . The sauce really complimented the steak and fried rice really well. I was very pleased on how the steak was juicy and tender ! *Braised Short Rib: 2/5 - Don't get me wrong i love me some good braised short ribs, however, these were very disappointing. Most of the meat was covered by fat, the portion size was insanely small considering its an entree. Not much veggies or sides to compliment this meal very well, definitely need to redo this dish. *Pressed Yellowtail Sushi: 5/5 - Honestly the yellowtail was so fresh ! It had a hint of spiciness but also a hint of sweetness. The sushi was very fresh and almost tasted like a ceviche mix. *Parmesan Truffle Fries: 3/5 - Your average truffle fries. Nothing fancy about them. I really wish they were crispier. The ambiance was very nice and welcoming. You are introduced to basically nice oak wood tables everywhere. The booth we sat in was pretty comfy. The service was exceptional. It is nice to know you are getting some quality dishes, others need some refinement.

What a great scene at night. Love the ambience, crowd buzz, and style of this place. Casual but upscale if that makes sense. Good idea to have a reservation. Open for coffee breakfast lunch and dinner. The pineapple Thai basil non alcoholic was quite the treat. Harvest bowl was phenomenal. Grilled vegetables galore-portobello, cauliflower, snap peas, sweet potato, artichoke, avocado, quinoa grains, and more. The sea bass dish was a tad underwhelming due to small portion and the crust was overbearing. Dessert was delicious and a wonderful way to wrap up a wonderful meal experience overall

Happy find!! Originally the hubby and I wanted to try a restaurant down the street. However, they switched to reservations only for the day. So we looked up nearby restaurants and found The Henry. So glad we did. Our first time here and it won't be our last.... The hostess was very kind and welcoming. She took our name down right away. We waited under 10 minutes to be seated. We opted to sit inside. Very nice vibe. Our waiter Enrique was AMAZING. Super attentive and a true asset to this restaurant. Our food came out quickly. Everything was so flavorful. You could really taste the quality. The hubby even got a tea to go. TOP NOTCH!! What we ordered & shared: * Grilled & Chilled Shrimp * Short Rib Potstickers * Roasted Turkey French Dip w/ Salad #DiningWithTheAndersons #HappyFind #TryingNewPlaces #WithTheHubby #SoYummy

Nice day to have lunch outside. Kinda busy but not hindering the service much. I had the pleasure of having the Henry salad with grilled chicken, and chicken tortilla soup. I didn't care for the vinaigrette dressing that the salad is served with, a bit tart for my liking. I requested blue cheese, they were able to serve me ranch with blue cheese crumbles. Overall the service was acceptable. Nothing extraordinary stood out to me, we were a large party of 7.

    Crispy tuna special roll...delicious!

We had a beautiful lunch at The Henry. Great table on the patio. We had a reservation, which was needed on a busy weekend. Our party shared their crispy tuna appetizer, a Caesar salad with salmon and the burger. All got two thumbs up. Next time we are on Coronado, we'll return.

It's become one of our usual spots for brunch. Great food and drinks, staff is very attentive and knowledgeable so their suggestions are on spot! The place is nice with lots of greenery indoors. Make reservations before you go!

I was so sad that this place did not shine honestly! I came here with coworkers in town for a work event and we were so excited to try this place! The menu has a good selection and a few gluten free items all clearly marked which is appreciated! The server was friendly and we were seated right away which I always appreciate when I have a reservation! The vibes are lovely very fun atmosphere but the sea breeze does get a tad cold in the evening so be warned if you sit on the patio! Onto the food. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and their chicken dish for my meal. The shrimp was good nothing special and honestly saved my meal a bit. The chicken I ordered was so dry! The sauce wasn't my favorite but the dry chicken just was terrible to try and eat. My chicken came with fries that were good just very very salty. Honestly I wouldn't be back and at the premium prices you're paying while being on Coronado island there's other places I'd much rather go.

I'll review our dinner and then post the brunch review in a few days! First, the view is gorgeous. The Marriott Coronado has a gorgeous piece of real estate, facing the bay, the Coronado Bridge, and downtown San Diego. Dinner, Valentine's Day: VDay could be a big disaster but it went pretty smoothly. They had a 3-course prix fixe menu (plus an amuse & a glass of sparkling wine) as a special, or you could do their bar menu. Oscar was our server and he did a great job keeping us updated about how the kitchen was doing. Our drinks came pretty fast. I got a DAITIKI: cutwater tiki rum, lime juice, simple syrup & angostura bitters. I asked for it light on the simple - and it was a pretty impressive cocktail. Really well balanced, with a lot of different flavors going on. Yes & yes on this! Appetizers: I got their brussel sprouts with lime and honey glaze and marcona almonds. WOW! This was a wow dish. HUGE and fabulous brussel dish, for $16, with this view. Now I'm getting excited! We also got the guacamole which was good, though underseasoned. Entrees: my sweetie got one of the bowls (baja?) with carne asada added and liked it. I got a veggie burger - not yummy! Very weird patty, not tasty. However, the fries that came with it were good. SO... I had a great cocktail, a giant portion of exceptional brussel sprouts, and a bad veggie burger. Could be worse! Wine: I also got a glass of the JLohr Pure Paso red blend, which was very nice. Leathery but not too heavy. For dessert, Oscar advised us that we could order individual dishes from the prix fixe, and that dessert would be much faster if we ordered the Valentine's desserts instead of the desserts they usually serve. And yes, they came out immediately. Deconstructed strawberry shortcake. Flavors were good. Shortbread was a little dry, but very nicely seasoned. I liked the consistently of the chocolate mousse tulip, but found the tulip part (chocolate shell) very bland, not that interesting to eat too. Overall, some parts of our dinner were exceptional, the kitchen can be slow... and don't order the veggie patty! Otherwise this is a great place to come and enjoy our gorgeous city and have some yummy bites or drinks, and with very nice heaters. Thanks, Oscar and the team!

A huge thank you to Charlene, who was such a wonderful host. She went out of her way to find a seat for us and made us feel so welcomed from the moment we arrived. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and even shared some history about the hotel with us, which made the experience feel even more special. Charlene made our night unforgettable!! Our server, Antonio, was also fantastic and gave amazing recommendations. We ordered the Parker House rolls to start, along with the prime filet and the halibut Veracruz. The halibut was honestly one of the best fish dishes I've ever had, it literally melted in your mouth. I'm usually not even a huge fish person, but Antonio mentioned how fresh it was, and he was absolutely right. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were all incredible.

This is a cute little restaurant right by the beach in Coronado! If you are staying at the Hotel…read moreDel you can charge right to the room which is really convenient! The weekend breakfast buffet was a bit in the pricier side but the offerings were very good and I think well worth it. I was really impressed with the delicious gluten free muffins and the fine cheeses they had available. All were absolutely delicious. When I asked our waiter, Michael, about what the extra ingredients were in the eggs he said he would make sure we got a plate of scrambled eggs with nothing else in them! This kind of service was top notch and compared to other breakfast buffets at similar hotels I thought this one really had some wonderful menu items and the food was more gourmet overall. Also you get to look at the beach while you eat which was amazing! I would definitely come back to eat here if I was in the area! We ended up just being on the waitlist when we decided to eat here on a whim but I did see you could book a reservation on opentable as well!

Service/Staff - 5 Stars…read more I don't remember what our server's name was unfortunately, but he was really amazing. He was very attentive, friendly, offered to take our photos for us. Food - 5 Stars We started with the Tempura Rock Shrimp, which was really good! The Yuzu honey aioli dipping sauce was amazing. Loved this dish! My wife had the Chilean Seabass (which - side note - I always think is funny because FYI Chilean Seabass is not actually seabass. Look it up! It's actually a Patagonian toothfish!). Anyhow, it was amazing! I stole a few bites. I didn't get a photo of it, but it was a good portion and the fish was cooked perfectly. The risotto paired so well with the fish and had a ton of flavor. Highly recommend this dish! I had the Swordfish Sandwich. Everything about this sandwich was really really good. The fish was exactly how I expected it to be, meaty! Loved the brioche bun and the sauce. However, I would have preferred more sauce. If I were to order this again, I would see if they could give me some extra sauce. The sandwich came with French fries. I wasn't a big fan of the seasoning. The French fries tasted like bbq chips, and I don't like bbq chips lol. I somehow didn't notice that on the menu it actually says "BBQ spiced", and had I saw that I would have just asked for the fries without the seasoning. But, they were still cooked well and so if you like bbq flavor chips then you will love these fries. For dessert we got the chocolate brownie. It was AMAZING. The brownie was soft, moist, and very rich in flavor. I would totally get this again - and next time I would ask for extra ice cream. Especially if you're planning on sharing this with someone, an extra scoop of ice cream would be good. View - 5 Stars Epic view truly. Obviously a big reason why many people including ourselves come here. We wanted the view for our date night, and it really did not disappoint. We had dinner around 7pm so we got to see the sunset which made it even more romantic. TIPS: There was a pretty big parking lot, but we still took an uber here instead. It was our first time and didn't know what to expect. Also, Seaport Village closes up at 9pm, so if you're planning on walking around the village after your dinner, make sure you plan your dinner time accordingly. Definitely make reservations ahead of time. When we arrived, they were turning people away that didn't have reservations. Fortunately for us, we did! :) If you plan on going later in the evening and sit on the balcony, it's semi-indoors. Basically it's outdoors, but covered, and it got pretty cold for me. So plan to bring a jacket or a sweater.
