I came here for my birthday and they left a special birthday card for me on the table. They were very nice about my large party showing up pretty late. I was there on time but the rest of my group trickled in for about 30 minutes. They were very kind and understanding about that. We ate outdoors and it was very cute. The waitress came to check on us often and let us order food once the whole party arrived. I split the french toast and the salmon bagel with my friend. The french toast was really good. The bagel was a bit dry and only had salmon and cream cheese. I also got a non-alcoholic strawberry highball to drink and I enjoyed that. Sweet but with a little tang or zest to break it up. Had dinner at The Henry and overall it was such a great experience. The drink menu is honestly dangerous in the best way. Everything sounds amazing and you want to try all of it. Every cocktail we had was delicious. For dinner, I ordered the chicken frites. It was good, but a little on the salty side. I normally wouldn't say anything, but our waiter was so genuinely kind and easy to talk to that I felt comfortable sharing it as just helpful feedback. He handled it perfectly, super gracious, not awkward at all, and said he'd let the kitchen know. What really stood out is how thoughtful the follow-up was. He came back quickly, checked in, and they ended up bringing us complimentary desserts and even adjusted our check. He mentioned the kitchen had recently made a change to the recipe and actually appreciated the feedback, which was nice to hear. Between the service, the atmosphere, the drinks, and the desserts (which were incredible), it made for a really memorable night. The manager also stopped by and was just as warm and attentive. The Henry, I loved the ambiance w comfy lighting, seats, especially i can see the open kitchen all the chefs are cooking. They have an outdoor patio w fireplace. Beautiful inside and outside!!! Even restroom....very upgraded scale. 5 stars too. I was not hungry after hotel breakfast so I ordered only a glass of red wine, Bonanza. My hubby got white Chardonnay. One of the first stops on our San Diego trip is always brunch. None of us have ever been to the Henry, but it was a perfect choice to be in Coronado, with dog-friendly seating. Unfortunately one of our friends was stuck in LA to SD traffic, but the server was super understanding and accommodating. We did get a couple of drinks and dishes served to us accidentally, because we were sitting there for a while, so we understand. While waiting, we got a summer sangria and coffee to start. I had hoped for the summer sangria to be similar to a tinto de verano based on its looks, but beware it is not fizzy or lemonade-y, just a typical sangria. Once our last friend arrived, we ordered and were served in 15-20 mins. I shared the All-American Burger, Chicken Tortilla Soup, and Seared Ahi Tuna salad. The burger hit the spot and it was a good balance with the tuna salad. The soup was alright. Our friends each had a Harvest Bowl and left no crumbs. Across the board, our dishes left us satisfied and not feeling groggy/overstuffed. The outdoor seating next to the bar, and openness of the indoor restaurant makes for a really nice spot to brunch in on a sunny day. We'll definitely be back! read more

My favorite appetizer is the umami Brussels sprouts. So flavorful, everyone at the table enjoyed it. I normally like the Brussels crispy but this one was a little softer and tasted just as great. Since I'm preggers... I had my first mocktail, the ginger blackberry margarita. And yummmy , reminds me of my favorite drink, a Moscow mule. My wife found this brunch restaurant while we were walking on Orange Ave from the hotel. We noticed so many people were eating on the patio on Thursday night after we checked in hotel. We both love wines, chardonnay and merlot, sauvignon blanc. We stopped by to have some wines next morning. First, we loved the contemporary upscale ambiance w open kitchen. I can see all the chefs are cooking thru the big window. The seats and the bar area, middle huge table all are upgrade comfy style. Looks really modern, contemporary. We ordered two glasses of wines, chardonnay and Bonanza red wine. Taste great!! We checked the lunch and breakfast menus, my wife said, they have korean dish w rice.... We had short conversation w our server, Enrique, he gave us great service Friday morning. He was So friendly, attentive, made us so comfortable. Thanks. Enrique!! We planned to come for early lunch but our hotel was 5 blocks away from the Henry. We were so tired to walk back to the restaurant. No lunch at the Henry this time but we will try next time for sure. We sat outside at The Henry and loved having the heaters turned on with the cool breeze. It was a lovely dinner and we had great service. When I pay over $15 for a drink, I want to feel like I drank more than just lime juice and soda. The mojito hit the spot. We sat at a booth table which was comfortable. The table next to us brought their dog inside which should have not been permitted. I am a dog lover, but others may not be. For the food, I had the truffled brie toast and seared tuna chop. The brie was gooey with a touch of sweetness from honey and cranberries. The tuna salad was fresh, light and filling. Where do I even start... every time I'm wandering down orange street I want to stop and eat, but the line is so....long. This time I got on the waitlist as soon as I arrived and enjoyed shopping while I waited. Oh no.... How terrible (sarcastically saying). Even though the line and wait was long and the place was packed none of the staff were flustered or overwhelmed. We had absolutely amazing service from our waiter who was on top of everything, friendly and attentive, the food came out hot and the wait was normal. The patio is nice and shaded and even with a full house and being on the road it's not loud, but comfy and a great place to have a lovely meal with friends and family. As we went to pay and leave, the waiter noticed a member of our party hadn't eaten much and didn't want a to go box. The item was not cooked well and though we didn't complain, the waiter noticed. He apologized and took it off our bill. The manager actually returned our card apologizing, sharing his business card, also taking off a coffee drink, and insisting on making something else. This was so above and beyond and we felt so taken care of and when the manager found out we were locals he went and made us a gift card! my mind was blown. We felt like royalty and even though we aren't special, just a family out for a nice brunch, it truly made our day and showed the care and pride the staff takes in their restaurant. This is a classy spot and has a great, healthy menu if you want to try to eat light. Their patio is the nicest in town. Lots of covered seating, a Togo window, and a cute fireplace area to stay cozy. I don't know exactly what kind it was but the aftertaste was delicious! We chose the cauliflower hummus to start at our server's suggestion and did not regret it at all. We ended up following his suggestion and getting the soft pretzels with the provolone fondue, which was fantastic! Honestly I would go back just for that, it really is a must order. Considering my two roommates both work at this establishment, it's ironic I haven't posted a review yet...but their brunch is what broke the camels back. Service was amazing every single time I went. For brunch it was server Lauren and she was fantastic! Their rendition of French toast was marvelous, honestly the best I've ever had, the slight cream-cheesy based frosting balancing out the sweetness from the peach jam was perfectly done. My buddy got the enchiladas and finished it incredibly fast...with good reason. The breakfast burrito was amazing, their cheese combination worked perfectly and the potatoes were perfectly salted with a nice crust which most places lack which makes them taste like thick cut French fries. Finally, was my healthier than normal choice of getting the egg white turkey sausage omelet...I'm going to get this every single time I come here. 10/10 The espresso martini had a beautiful cinnamon spice branding and the bartender was definitely trying to get me drunk with this one on my birthday. The appetizers (crispy rice tuna and short rib potstickers are my go-to every time), and never fail to impress. We were nervous about going in since we had just gotten off of a whale watching tour and we're not as elegant as we usually are but despite other customers shifty eyes, we were treated respectfully by out wonderful server. The salmon bagel was good as well but needed a bit more salmon and toasting of the bagel. The side potatoes were nothing to rave about (not very crispy, pretty bland). The pretzel bites cheese sauce was very good! But something was off with the pretzels themselves. My friend and I visited The Henry on Sunday around 3:00 PM with a baby and had an extremely disappointing experience before we were even seated. As we approached the host stand, we heard two couples tell the host they did not have reservations and they were seated immediately. When it was our turn, the host told us the wait would be over an hour and did not add us to a waitlist. We stayed nearby for a few minutes and overheard the host tell another group that their wait would be less than 20 minutes. After being told our wait would be over an hour, it was frustrating and upsetting to hear such a different answer being given to guests who had also just arrived. As a Mexican woman, the difference in treatment made me feel unwelcome and question whether we were being treated fairly. The host was rude, dismissive, and made what should have been a pleasant brunch outing feel uncomfortable from the start. We left without dining because of the way we were treated at the front of the restaurant. Customer service begins at the host stand, and unfortunately our experience was so negative that we chose to take our business elsewhere. read more
