Way too stuffy for me! This place is such a far cry from the laid-back, chill vibe we're used to in Central Phoenix. Honestly, I much prefer the Arcadia location--they're way more down to earth over there. The HOSTS!! Gah! The hosts here threw me off right away with the whole Scottsdale-style attitude and over-the-top outfits. And a three-hour wait for a table of three... on a Thursday at 4:45PM? Wild. The food was fine, but nothing special. I'd much rather go somewhere nearby that offers a richer culinary experience and treats you like family. If I wanted the full-on Scottsdale scene, I would've driven to Scottsdale. At this point, just bring back Applebee's! read more

This was my first time at "The Henry". We ordered the crab cake and being from Maryland and knowing what crab cakes should taste like this was on point, very satisfying. We also had the Seared Tuna Chop and that was delicious as well. The highlight of the night was the Braised Short Rib, originally we couldn't get it with the mash potatoes (I believe there was an issue with the texture). The manager Milo and our waitress Nadia were so kind and accommodating in finding another option for us besides the mash potatoes. We ended up settling for the fried rice instead and I have to say that was such an excellent substitution! I would do it again. Happy Belly for sure! read more

We were greeted and seated promptly. Server was pleasant came took our drink order within a few minutes. 15 minutes later still waiting for drinks. Thing is we could see the bar and no drinks were being made. Restaurant was not busy. Still waiting for even a glass of water. We walked to the host station to say we were leaving and the reasons why. All the 2 ladies could say was sorry, and sorry again. NO effort was made to see about correcting the situation or anything at all other than Sorry. Would Not Recommend the Henry period. read more

Overall, the food was pretty tasty and fresh. If your looking for a sweet treat, the chocolate fudge torte was delicious! I've been to The Henry Uptown twice now, and it's quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area. The vibe is amazing, upscale and stylish, but still laid-back and welcoming. It's like fine dining without the stuffiness. The food is fantastic. The truffle Brie toast is a must, and the new "Uptown" cocktail with honeydew is so fresh and different. And their espresso martinis? Easily some of the best I've ever had. What really stands out, though, is the service. Both times I visited, the managers, David and Mark, came by the table, introduced themselves, and were incredibly attentive. You can tell they're hands-on and truly care about the guest experience. And the bar team, Richey and Jordan, are the kind of bartenders that make you want to come back just to see them. They're welcoming, personable, and genuinely fun to talk to, on top of making amazing drinks. I honestly look forward to going back because of them. The patio is spacious and has a great vibe, and the complimentary valet makes things super convenient in what's normally a busy lot. So glad to have The Henry Uptown in the neighborhood , this place is a gem. read more

My friends from Minn and I were in this past weekend for a fabulous brunch! I started with a delicious spicy Bloody Mary and Our server, Symphony, suggested the French toast as an appetizer to share! Oh wow! Great choice- the frosting was just right. I was conflicted between the eggs Benedict And now I can't remember what because Symphony had me laughing so hard while I was trying to decide. Had such a great experience last night with my family!! The restaurant is beautiful, and offers an elevated ambience. Our server, Vinny, was very knowledgeable on the menu and made some great recommendations! We ordered the potstickers and brussels sprouts as appetizers, and the brussels sprouts genuinely blew me away. The parmesan sauce they put on is addicting! Quick visit to Phoenix and we ended up at the Henry. Absolutely incredible! We had the guac and the skirt steak and some potstickers. All delicious, but the skirt steak stole the show! We arrived without a reservation and were told there would be a 30-minute wait, despite more than half the tables being empty. Out of curiosity, I checked OpenTable and saw availability at nearly every time slot within the next 5-30 minutes. When I asked the hostess, she reiterated the wait time and mentioned they should have turned off reservations but hadn't yet--she said she'd inform her manager. Once seated, it took about 10 minutes to be greeted. Service overall was slow, and unfortunately, the food didn't make up for it. My wife has celiac disease and was excited to see many gluten-free options labeled on the menu. However, when she tried to order several of them, the server informed her they actually weren't gluten-free. When she asked why they were labeled that way, he admitted it's an ongoing issue that he's mentioned many times, but it hasn't been corrected. The kids' meal fries were so overcooked they were inedible. My wife's salmon looked unappetizing and tasted just okay. I ordered my burger medium and it came out well done--dry--and although I asked for extra sauce to help, the server forgot, and I had to follow up when I was nearly finished eating. The bill came to $105 after tip, and unfortunately, I can't say it was worth it. We've had great experiences at the old location, especially with their gluten-free items, but this visit left us questioning if those items were ever truly gluten-free. So underwhelming! The original is definitely the best one. I went last weekend and I was not impressed at all. The only reason I gave it one star was because of our server, she was wonderful but everything else was just BAD. Starting with the hostess! And first impressions are EVERYTHING. We showed up 5mins early for our 1030am reservation, checked in with the hostess and she goes "give me 5mins, " and I said OK. The restaurant was not busy at all since it was still early and there were PLENTY of open tables. 10mins go by and still nothing so I go back to the hostess (different girl) and she immediately goes "I can sit you now, not sure why she made you wait". Okaaaay great! Once seated it took At least 15mins to even get waters and 20mins for our server to introduce herself. Once our server finally came to our table she was actually very nice and attentive. Unfortunately everything else was just not good. Food came out cold and not a single dish tasted good. I was rather disappointed with The Henry. The grilled and chilled shrimp appetizer was extremely salty--almost overwhelming. The spicy tuna and grilled rice appetizer had a similar issue, though to a lesser extent. The seared ahi tuna entrée wasn't quite as aggressively salted as the shrimp either, but it was still overpowering. The greens and broth were decent accompaniments, but not enough to redeem the dish. The ambiance was nice, and our server was attentive, but for the high prices, I expected better food. Even without the salt issue, nothing blew me away in terms of flavor. read more

We waited 55 minutes after ordering for our pasta and sandwich to arrive, and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. Both dishes came out cold and lacked flavor. The sandwich bread was soggy. The only good thing about our meal was the croissant we ordered to tide us over while we waited. The customer service was also top notch. Very disappointing experience. We got there at 9:00 and were told we would have to order our breakfast at the counter as they did not provide table service until 10:30. We had to put in our order at a counter like you would do at McDonalds. Then we had to pick up our own utensils and water and find a booth to sit like you would at McDonalds. Someone brought my breakfast to the table but not my companions. We inquired about my friends food we were told because she put her order in after me there would be a delay in her getting her meal. By the time my friends food came my food was cold. Since I paid $23 plus tip for my breakfast I just think the level of service was terrible. They open at 7:00 for breakfast. There is too much competition in the area to have their kitchen closed for 30 minutes. They offered me the same tired pastries consisting of plain croissants and some coconut thing, gross.
