Went for lunch the other day and to sum it up it was pretty good. I haven't been here since it was the Country Kitchen (or something like that?), so It is all new to me. I had the roast beef open sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes , my friend had the meatloaf. We both enjoyed our meals. The food was good, the place was decorated for the holidays and it was clean. The Hostess was very friendly our Waitress was very nice. Food came out fairly quickly. Two stars even though the food is pretty good. The restaurant is cute and people are nice. But the chairs are the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in. The sides dig into your hips and make it impossible to be comfortable. I'm not very big but they leave me with sore sides when I leave so I don't go anymore. Tina's take: 10/10 Very cute place near Hershey park. We came here for breakfast before hitting some coasters. The atmosphere was so cute with the Easter decor. Loved to see many bunnies and Easter eggs all over. The staff was very nice and welcoming. They answered all our questions about the menu. Our food came out very fast and it was great. I got the breakfast skillet with bacon and hollandaise sauce. My sister got the blueberry pancakes and a side of bacon. The bacon was a little cold but everything was great. Newly decorated with a menu that offers just enough variety to keep you wondering. Soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts, dinners and daily specials all done in an original fashion. I couldn't believe there were lumps in the mashed potatoes. This place also smokes it's own meat. I had a dynamite spinach salad with pulled pork . The house citrus dressing was divine. All things BBQ tonight for the 2 of us. Full rack of ribs - huge, easily a meal for 2. Wet ribs were very moist and fall off the bone - excellent. Got a medium sampler also - sausage, pulled pork and brisket - very tasty and generous portions. Got mushroom soup and fried pickles as apps - both were excellent. This place is just like the reviews. It does not appear like much on the outside but the inside from the appearance to the food and service is A+. We went for breakfast and the menu was great, service was great, and food came out great and tasted awesome. We had a cinnamon roll pancake, a bagel egg sandwich, and a two egg breakfast. Doesn't look great on the outside. But, boy oh boy! Do NOT judge this book by its cover! Stopped by for lunch. I got the BLT - TONS of bacon, crisp lettuce, juicy tomato. And, bonus, the chips that came with it were warm! Warm and crispy! Husband got the Reuban with Tater Tots. He always asked for extra crispy and he usually gets regular or fairly mushy. The food was expensive for what you got. My haddock was overcooked. It was black around the edges. The Mac and cheese was just cheese sauce poured over macaroni. My friend got stuffed cabbage and she couldn't even cut through the cabbage it was so tough. It was more like diner food. It was not somewhere I would go again. read more

Should be BYOF bring your own food, I choose the haddock and I'm 99% positive it was either Mrs Paul's or Gorton's frozen fish heated up in an oven, and as a side I chose baked beans and again 99% sure they were Campbells Pork and Beans, my wife ordered the Brisket and it was like thinly sliced lunch meat, was thinking maybe try them for breakfast but I'm afraid I may end up with Eggo waffles or pop tarts so we will pass on eating there again. read more

I took my daughter here for breakfast this morning. She asked me to write this review, as she said a bunch of words that mean nothing to anyone who speaks the English language, but sounded super favorable. She ate all of her stuffed French toast of the day (it had a custardy filling with cherries) and mentioned that it was the best shed ever had (even better than mine!!). This place took the place over from Martin's country kitchen however the food menu has basically stayed the same. The decor is new and improved. Food wise I have noticed a slight op in quality recently as this Is one of ooze go to spots due to proximity. For example the chef salad barely has any toppings on it anymore. It's bad socially lettuce and meat and that's about it. The fried pickles are poorly done and some of the worsst coated fried pickles I have ever had. I will say the sauce that comes with them however is very good. It's a good place for a quick meal but the quality has been decreasing. read more

My wife and I checked out Hershey Bistro and decided to eat lunch here two weeks ago on a Saturday, as well as yesterday (Saturday), 11/6/21. The first visit was fine. My wife had the turkey & bacon cheddar melt sandwich and I had the John Henry, which is smoked brisket, BBQ sauce, onions, blue cheese crumbles on a ciabatta roll. Unfortunately, the brisket was not lean but half fat that I had to cut off. I do not recommend it. Fortunately, I was able to get it taken off the bill. My wife said her sandwich was good. On that occasion, our server was very attentive and nice. Yesterday was a little like walking into The Twilight Zone (cue TZ theme music). Although several staff members were nearby when we arrived, we managed to stand near the door for several minutes, waiting to be seated. Finally we were seated and our server took our order. This is when things started to get weird. My wife ordered the chicken noodle soup, asking specifically to have it delivered before our main food. She ordered the turkey and cheddar melt and I ordered the Trey Burger (cheddar, bacon, apple BBQ sauce, onion straws, etc.). Time crawled along until 30 minutes later, her soup finally arrived! Yes, 30 minutes!! It is a record for us! We even joked that they must be making a new batch with the time that had elapsed. Just as we thought, only a few minutes passed before our main food arrived! My wife's bacon was not burnt as she requested. My burger was good. Our server, while nice, seemed somewhat distracted and did not check on us as often as I would have liked. She also forgot a few things that we had to remind her about. During the meal, I noticed a female customer who had parked, come inside and left empty-handed (with an annoyed look) in the span of about 10-15 minutes. I'm guessing she gave up due to lack of service. I get that they may have a shortage of employees, but during our meal, we witnessed another server busy with holiday decorations during the latter part of the lunch rush!! In my opinion, this was poor time management and she could have been helping customers. We were hoping to make THB part of our weekend lunch rotation and even try them for dinner, but now we're not too sure. We plan to wait awhile before coming back. read more

Despite being busy, we did not have to wait for our food and it was not difficult to hear each other. The coffee was kept refilled. Stopped in for breakfast and was extremely pleased with our meals. Eggs were poached to perfection on the Eggs Benedict. The Country Omelette is great - substituted tots for the country fries on the recommendation of our waitress and that took it to a whole new level. Wife and I got the Ribs, Pierogis and Turkey Melt. Both the Pierogis, and melt were excellent, along with the sides. Mac was fantastic. The ribs though, were more tough than Costco ribs, legit, I attempted to take a bite and pull from the bone and nothing. I needed to surgically remove the meat from the bone with our sharpest knife. For $25 they were by far the worst ribs I've ever had, taste was great, but toughness was inedible. I'm an avid smoker of various meats, and this missed the mark by a lot in the form of getting the meat tender enough to have even a little pull from the bone. I'll be trying their sausage/brisket combo potentially since I did enjoy the flavor, but really, DO NOT get the ribs. We'll probably be back since we live nearby, but I was quite pissed about dropping $25 dollars and only able to eat about a fourth of the rack before I gave up. read more

We used to love the "Bistro" but lately the last four times we have been there the food has been cold and not cooked or made in a hurry to present as being uncooked and not warm . Breakfast which is pretty easy was served with runny cold eggs and uncooked scrapple . The pancakes which used to be welcomed and warm have been Very subpar with cranberries too hard and pumpkin pancakes very pale covered in "pumpkin sauce ". Full disclosure I ordered pickup from this restaurant while passing through the area, I've only eaten here once as pickup to eat in my car so keep that in mind with this review. I will say the food was solid I had the adult grilled cheese and the bbq quesadilla which comes with pulled pork. Both meals were a good amount of food for the cost of the meal, and both tasted great. I also had a piece of limoncello cake, the cake was not fantastic it was good but I probably wouldn't go with it again it was a little costly and just really wasn't all that. Now the staff was were I had my biggest issue. I had to call this restaurant 3 different times in order to finally get someone on the phone. When I finally made contact the woman on the phone said "let me get a pen and paper to write this down" which took about 2 mins until I was able to place my order. Now normally I wouldn't let this bother me, but they had a tablet for orders so I was confused. Who I dealt with when I came in to pick up my order didn't seem to have any idea what was going on or how to check if I had placed my order because the first person hung up without taking down my name. Additionally when I went to get my slice of limoncello cake (mentioned earlier) she had no idea that they had that or which one it was. Overall good food but the staff was kinda all over the place.
