Came here for the first time just to listen to Uproot Hootenany do their thing! Also this place is solid Irish Pub!

At the beginning of August came here for the first time because i found out Uproot Hootenany band is performing here and love their fun music! Braving the bad tropical rain bands and wind, drove up from Miami to kick back and relax and try this new spot out! Immediately it's got a relaxing vibe inside with lots of tables and a small performing stage. Since they were loud I opted to sit at the jam packed bar. Ordered a Guiness (non alcoholic since it's a long drive home in iffy weather). They had an interesting appetizer on menu of an Irishmen egg rolls but the bartender tod me they ran out that one. I opted for a healthy fish dish and a side of veggies! Ok it was battered and fries but still tastey especially with the sauces and I ordered a side of steam brocolli as well. There were leftovers to take home. This is a cool place and I can see myself coming back. It seems popular as the band kept performing later past 10pm a large party of 8 stolled in and put high tables together and placed their order of drinks and food. The band was having so much fun they played all the way up to 11pm and their very last song they got off the stage and set up in the aisle between the booths and tables to do perform around the patrons. Very cool. I'll definitely make a trip up here again and oh also want to try them tempting spring rolls!

With a name like The Irishmen, there are certain expectations. Adherence to traditional foods, drinks, and the friendly warmth of a pub being the minimum one looks for. Sadly, none of these are found here. Everything is fine, but nothing stands out. No reason to come a second time.

I found the Irishmen when I first moved to Boca and have been coming back ever since. The food is great and reasonably priced to begin with, but then you get specials 5 nights a week making the prices even more reasonable. The servers and bartenders are all very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Live music on Friday nights is along with Trivia on Wednesday nights give you plenty to enjoy. If you want a little quiet, sit outside and enjoy the weather.

The place was packed today! It's definitely an Irishman place. We had buffalo wings and a sandwich - food was aGreat! The ambiance was definitely a bit tight and loud! We are coming back!

We came for lunch on a Friday and sat inside at the bar. There were a lot of folks on the outside patio -- from nearby businesses -- and it was too hot for us to comfortably dine outside. The gal inside was working the bar as well as the few other occupied tables nearby. She occasionally had to help the gal covering the outside, too. We told her she should be getting paid by her steps! It really was too big an area to cover. My husband got the Irish sliders. Corn beef mini sandwiches that had red cabbage on them. The meat was thickly sliced. I'm not sure the sweeter red cabbage really went with it -- sauerkraut or coleslaw would have been better. He said it was just okay. I got a cup of signature potato soup. Unfortunately it was served lukewarm. I took most of it home. Later when I zapped it in the microwave, the cheese melted and blended in with the garnishes of bacon and scallions and it was pretty good... but not when I first tried it at the bar. I also got an appetizer order of chicken fingers. This came with two sauces -- a bbq one and a mustard based one. The chicken was great. A huge portion covering the plate and perfectly cooked. Even though they were fried, they weren't greasy. I was glad I ordered these. I'd like to come again and try some of their Irish specialties and see what was being featured. We were kind of on our own ordering and the gal was so busy that we weren't able to spend any time asking questions.

Fish sandwich and onion soup! Yum

Standard Irish pub but with great service and decent food. They have different deals each day of the week.

Since they had some time to kill and sobriety was not an option, we decided to stop and the closest watering hole next to I-95z what came up in their GPS, or the choice they made, was O'Brian's. Out time there was a wonderful experience. Must certainly a younger crowd, which is understandable know the proximity to the university but still a magnificent time. Service was quick, and the drinks were on point. We were already a bit plastered coming from a Super Bowl celebration, but despite how busy they were they were still able to provide us with drinks within minutes. I asked for a spiced rum and coke, which even though not my drink of should, it was what I was stuck with the whole night because of the avatar the super bowl party. I can't wait to go back when I in Boca again. Based on my one time observation, O'Brian's is a blast!

I chose to sit at the bar and the bartender was very attentive, I had 2 beers and "potato skins - $11.00 tasty but lacking seasoning" and "zucchini fries $9.00 crispy and very tasty". The only problem here is finding parking nearby.

A lil ' Saint Patty's Day excitement in West Boca!…read more Holloways put it together nicely with live music on the patio, a festive crowd, drinks, eats, and dancing. Irish pubs are becoming scarce and the east Boca vibe changed since back in the day. Holloways to the rescue. Cheers.

TRUE IRISH 2AM BAR…read more.. We're driving through West Boca Raton and had an hour to burn until dinner and searched the internet for a non-commercial pub for a couple of craft beers. Patience gets reward and we finally found this Holloway's Irish Pub off Powerline Road. Tucked away at the rear of a modern plaza against a beautiful tranquil canal. It had an inviting huge front patio with several tables. We entered as a friendly woman, later identified herself as Bertha, told us to come right inside. At first glance, I was pleasantly impressed by the real Irish interior decor which felt comfortable and cozy. Plenty of Guinness signs on the walls - beer of the Irish. Three dart boards on a wall in a side room on the right with a sign that says Dart League Nite. A good size circular bar to the left. They offer a digital jukebox and a cigarette machine for customer use. As we took a seat at the empty bar, Bertha quickly gripped the beer taps and showed us a food menu. Bertha advised that the roasted chicken wings $14.99 and the shephard's pie $16.99 were the best sellers. Actually, the menu listed several mouth watering dishes including the Irish Coffee with Jameson. They did offer good quality craft tap brews. We ordered two ice cold beers, a Barrel of Monks Single in Havana and Funky Buddha Hop Gun. Had great conversation with Bertha but had to leave for a dinner engagement. Going to return to try the chicken wings and of course the cold craft beer. The men's bathroom was very clean and included six empty beer kegs - loved the added touch. Strong 4 star rating today.
