What's not to love about this spot? Between the delicious food, great service, & super clean environment, it's the perfect place to grab a bite. PLUS, it's literally steps from the beach! If I had to recommend just one thing, it's The Blue Goat. It's a blueberry bread pudding and hands down the best dessert for breakfast I've ever had... YUM. If I could eat this every day, I would! The vibes are always so good here, whether you're hanging out on the patio or in the dining room. Highly recommend their Happy Hour too!

Although it may not look too extravagant from the outside this spot has a lot more than meets the eye. Nice spot on the edge of beautiful Neptune beach community. It's not right on the beach however, it's within easy walking distance to everything. Has parking so you don't have to valet. Awesome shopping nearby. The drinks and cuisine are over the top fantastic. Taste bud bliss. Staff top notch and attentive. I felt noticed here and treated like they really wanted you here as a customer. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Can't recommend this spot enough. Can get pricy 150-200$ for a dinner with drinks for two. In my mind worth every penny. Come check it out if you have the chance.

Exceptional hostess, exceptional service (Michelle), great food. Made reservations, but I guess messed this up as they were not found- not sure if I didn't click all the way through or what. On arrival my friends were easily assisted and provided a spot outside upon request for four of us for brunch. Server, Michelle, made sure all could be set up quickly- balloons and cake. She was exceptional. Quick service, very thorough, super friendly- but not just that, very personable. Answered all our questions and made great suggestions. Appetizers were Buffalo cauliflower (not on brunch menu) and spinach dip. Both were wonderful- great flavor and portion size was large. Meals; Two Short Rib Benedict's- Large serving, we each ate half. Good amount of meat on 2 pieces of seasoned toast with eggs and a side of home fries. Two salads- one goat cheese and one fig. One plain and one with shrimp. Super tasty. Started off with a bottle of champagne for mimosas. When time for our cake, Michelle was quick to action and bring plates and utensils. She felt like part of the celebration over just being our server. Really haven't had this level of service or genuine personality at any restaurant before- not even for upscale nights out. We will be back.

I love the local! All locations. Have had many a good meal and given 5 starts before. Food and service were not up to the usual standard. It was a rainy Saturday with few patrons so maybe everyone was ready to call it a day, but we have two serves and still couldn't manage to get much attention. Couple of the oysters were small and weird compared to what usually comes out. Salad and burger were fine but didn't blow our socks off.

I haven't eaten here before and today was my first time in. It's a chill vibe during lunch time. Our bartender was a sweetheart! I wanted an espresso martini and boy did they deliver. We had the espresso martini and the chai martini. Their espressotini is fantastic! Definitely one of the best in town. It was my favorite of the two. I may come back soon for brunch. My rating is currently based on service and drinks. I'll have to come back and review the food.

We stopped here after a day at the beach and I was blown away with how good the grouper tacos were. We sat outside and the atmosphere felt great, so nice out. They do have different menus for different times of the day and seasons. It did take a while to get more drinks but our waitress was very kind and working hard outside by herself. Will definitely have to eat here again at another time to try something else but the grouper tacos here are out of this world!!

Our party had reservations for a Saturday evening.  Two of our party had eaten here for brunch and loved it, so we all came back for dinner. The dinner menu is American fare, smart and includes salads, steaks, salmon, chicken, fish, pasta and burgers. This location was a Woody's BBQ restaurant for years, and the new owners have done a fabulous job in transforming the building into a modern restaurant.  There is indoor seating (albeit very loud due to acoustics), with a full bar on the inside, and a full bar on the outside patio seating area.  We preferred the outside as the volume was low enough outside to carry on a conversation. We ordered the filet, shrimp and grits, honey toum chicken, with sides of creamed spinach and brown butter mashed potatoes.  Salads were wedge, Caesar and Goatavocado salad (goat cheese and avocado). The salads were excellent.  Shrimp and grits were very good (but rich). Filets were cooked to order, tender, but could have used more seasoning.  We had a side of sour dough bread (fabulous).  Our main complaint was that the filets and their sides obviously had been sitting out too long before they were brought out to our table and were almost cold.  Not good!  Our server was a delight, but service was slow. This restaurant is a great addition to much needed restaurant variety in our Ponte Vedra Beach area.  We will be back.

I love the Local at the beach. I really appreciate the atmosphere and have to say Michelle is the best!!! I miss Michael who was there for a bit but things change. But Michelle rocks! I will say there is always an issue with me getting my vegetarian food ( they offer a vegetarian menu) with no meat and no onions. Every time I order there is meat and or onions. It is not the servers but the kitchen staff. More attention to detail would be appreciated. So be sure to ask for the vegetarian menu if you want that and be very specific about your menu choices. They offer inside seating and outdoor seating with TVs for watching the games. The parking lot is very small but you can use the parking app for places nearby. Definitely worth a try when in the area.

We love the local! Came in on a Saturday for a late lunch/ early dinner and there was no one in the restaurant. We had two servers helping us out but service was somehow still very slow. Food was really good and we love the atmosphere here at the beach location.

The food speaks for itself in these pictures. Everything was PERFECT! The service was quick & so nice. We sat outside and the vibes were 10/10. The local is a MUST if you're at the beaches.

My favorite brunch spot! Their craft cocktails are great, and they often update the menu with new ones. My only complaint is that I get a favorite, and then it's gone! (Like the Blueberry Basil Lemonade) But then I can usually find a new one. (Jade dragon!) Their benedicts are delicious. I usually get the steak or Korean rib ones. Their menu has so many good items that I often have a hard time choosing. Everything is very fresh, and looks as good as it tastes. I also enjoy their outdoor seating on the patio.

We always have the best time at The Local! Celebrated Galentines there this past weekend and safe to say we had a GREAT TIME. Drinks were great, food was great and service was even better! I highly suggest sitting outside if the weather permits it, I love it out there! It's also the perfect distance to shops, sweet treats and the beach!

Needed to cool down after 8.5 mile bike ride.

Does it have heated area on the patio?

Last time I went in cold weather, they did have heaters outside -- standing and some overhead. I'd still bring a jacket and bundle up in case it isn't enough!

    Is this place dog friendly?

Yes it is. There were a few people dining with their dogs on the patio during my visit.

Both were amazinggggg but the best was the Brussels sprouts. I always thought I didn't like them but after eating these I found out I do! That sauce is amazing. For my entree, I got the chimichurri steak. It had great flavor, but was a little cold. I guess I didn't get any pics of dessert because it was just that good but we got the sticky toffee cake and I'm still dreaming about it!! So delicious!! Our waiter, Jonathan, was so sweet, and already split the items we split on the bill for our group like dessert without us asking and very knowledgeable of the menu especially different wines. Inside today was very loud, but it seemed to be a lot of celebrations going on around us. From fried green tomatoes to savory grits, to some of the best fried shrimp in the universe

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.

The stone crab claws were absolutely delicious, along with the oysters and shrimp. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. My biggest recommendation is to call ahead if you're looking for stone crab claws, because they do sell out! One thing I really appreciated was being able to see all the fresh seafood on display. You can sit right at the bar area and watch them prep at the display case! For my military friends, it's also conveniently located right down the road from base, making it an easy stop when you're craving fresh seafood. Great food, fresh, friendly service, and a place we'll absolutely return to the next time we're in Florida. We only wish we had discovered it earlier in our trip!
