This café is located in a very cool strip mall that look like small European village. When you walk into this place, it is attached to a wine bar as well. I do not know the details for it, as I had come in here wanting coffee. The menu has a lot of great items, and snacks. They also have a lot in their display cases. I was debating between the mocha, or some of their specialty coffees, one of which was called the La Paz. I went with the La Paz as it seemed very different using brown sugar, espresso shot and milk. I got it iced since it was a hot day. The coffee tasted amazing, just perfect for a hot . The inside is small but they have very comfortable seating, and it was air-conditioned very well which is what I hoped. Not only did they respond to my review on here at Yelp, they also reached out to me via email. Honestly best customer service ever. I decided to try them again. I stuck with the Blueberry Scone, which was delicious but nothing extra special. Probably 3/5. I also ordered a coffee drink, I believe it was the Red Eye. Their coffee is really good, nice and fresh. The cold brew is robust but not bitter. And the espresso is the perfect accompaniment, imo. Coffee is a 5/5. So I decided to give this place another try, years later. I have to say, I did enjoy my drinks and want to go back and try all the other homemade syrups they have. I do have to say they need to work on their online ordering. I saw from he reviews there were choices available that I couldn't order online. So I decided just to order in person though I would have liked the points. I got the lavender honey iced latte with oat milks for my sister. I wanted it less sweet so she suggested I order lavender & honey with less pump rather then their premade milk with the lavender and honey. My sister said she really liked her drink. I got the mint cold foam cold brew with less sweetness and it was good. I like the small ice cubes as well which makes it even better. Been to this place many times A stop this past weekend ruined it for us. We have always sat in the wine side and listened to music whether we had coffee or wine. Nobody had said a word. We like to support the local artists that come - our son likes to put money in the tip cup/hat etc. We walked in, and it wasn't very crowded, and we noticed the sign that said reserved seating. That's when some very condescending and rude guy launched into us about how it's "been like this for three years." When we expressed our surprise, he reminded us that this has been policy, and he assured me people weren't allowed to sit there unless they drank wine. He seemed almost defiant when I expressed to him that we often frequented Saturday nights for the music and indeed had enjoyed only coffee of that side. At that point, we were disgusted with the treatment. There's a right way and a wrong way to handle customer service and unfortunately, this guy doesn't know the difference - regardless if he was right. The only reason this review is two stars is because we have enjoyed many visits without harassment and the women on the coffee side, and usually the gentleman on the wine side were always very friendly. The coffee is decent and we prefer to champion local coffeehouses and artists. We left without getting anything and I'm sure the guy in question, a short blondish gentleman, felt like he was some sort of hero. We went to Kean - which has always treated us well, and now for music and coffee, we will drive down to Patch. It was quite sad for us as we've always loved the concept of a wine house and coffeehouse. We've really never felt so unwelcome by a local business. Thanks for the memories Lost Vine and Lost Bean. My friend placed a pickup order on the doordash app, arrived early, and they still would not make it for him right away because they thought it was a delivery order rather than pickup? Next, they overcharge for mediocre drinks! My partner's monkey mocha, which should have a hint of banana, had NO flavor whatsoever, and cost $10 total! I always enjoy the tea I get here at the Lost Bean. They use loose leaf tea which is so awesome and they always ask me if the tea tastes how I was expecting. The service here is amazing . They are always in great moods and want to talk to you and ask how my day is going. They are just an awesome little shop. The pastries here are also very good. I have only had the scones and they are always very tasty with my tea. The parking can sometimes be a little tight z the spots are a little smaller then normal which is sometimes hard but there is more parking behind the building which are much bigger and easier to park at. Overall this place is so relaxing. Lots of tables inside and outside to relax at and even connected to the wine bar next door, the lost Vine (haven't tried them yet). A day after my first visit, I'm still dreaming of their hot and frothy chai latte made with soy milk. Creamy, delicious, hot and a refreshing gingery bite! I've had a lot of chai from all different coffee shops as well as bagged tea but this one takes the cake!! Which brings me to their banana chocolate chip muffin. Deceiving little muffin...sitting coyly between all of the coffee cake slices and random breakfast goodies. I didn't think much of it until I cut my fork into it. Dense, yet fluffy, flecked with ripe banana and jumbo chocolate chips! Did I mention that the chocolate was a little melty?! Oh yeah. I immediately told my 4 year old he HAD to try it! I came here when I had some down time in Tustin. Parking was kinda difficult, because there aren't too too many places to park here. Going in, you realize that it is one of those places where you can chill and do your homework, enjoying using the wonderful wifi to do yo work. Now onto the drink! Monkey Business is what the barista cashier recommended :D. And thus I tried. It's a chocolate banana. It has an interesting but positive flavor. If you don't like banana too much (or if it's not on the top 10 list), the banana is a slight afterthought and does not overpower the drink. The chocolate does that for you. AND this is coffee. Mhmm :D Only thing is that this place is a little bit more pricier than your local Starbucks, but they do have a Yelp check in offer! Go find your bean, you human bean! read more

My husband happened to find this place on his trusty Yelp app when we were in the area, and I am glad that he did! I am always looking for new and good places to enjoy a nice mocha, vanilla latte, or a specialty flavored drink - especially the blended ones. We were completely unaware of this place but decided to drop in. I noticed that this place is pretty much busy all the time, yet calm. There are drinks from teas, to coffees, to blended drinks, to protein boxes, sweets, and ginormous scones. My favorite part? The drinks are organic!! Even the water!! I'm not sure about everyone else, and most will probably disagree with me, but I enjoy the taste of organic products SO much more, and it tastes much better. Not to mention you aren't loaded with so much crap.... For my first visit I went with the Monkey Mocha, blended, which was a mocha with banana mixed in. I guess my husband wanted it too, but didn't want to have a "duplicate", so he went with the Zebra Mocha. He enjoyed it very much, which was good because the first time he tried it at another place he was not a fan. For our second visit just five days later, I went with the Raspberry Mocha, and he got his non duplicate Monkey Mocha. Once again we were fans. I had a raspberry mocha at another place and was not a huge fan, so I'm glad that I gave The Lost Bean a shot at it, because I liked theirs. I will be honest, I don't know and did not check to see if the food items were organic, but I am going to guess that if the water is organic, chances are the food is too, or at least healthier than most places. Also, they have rewards program if you sign up with Five Star. At 12 points, you get a free drink. I believe you get a point for every $4 you spend, but I would double check. I don't think I have ever gotten coffee that fast anywhere, not even at McDonald's. Anyways, it tasted like straight chocolate milk, I got some of the caramel, but the coffee was lacking. I've been visiting this establishment for more than 5 years, and it has also become a new favorite of my mother's (showing that it has something for multiple generations). I have been living out of the state for the last 3 year, and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here during my last visit to the Tustin area. The rest of the menu also looked delicious and wish I lived closer to come back and try more items, including the lemon ricotta cakes they serve on the weekend.
