Lost Bean has been a staple for me the past few years, with most of my trips being to this location (although I like the Woodbridge location, too!). Great espresso, amazing breakfast burritos and the feeling of supporting an awesome local business keep me coming back. Not a fan of their drip coffee, nor some of their other breakfast items, but could just be my palette. I often order my coffee to go on the "joe" app before work on busy mornings, but would definitely recommend the inside seating areas or outdoor patio if you have the time to enjoy ambiance. Parking could be better (see narrow, compact spaces) but there are a lot of great businesses in this center so it's not a total surprise. Kind of pricy but delicious nonetheless. I got the coffee la Paz and a cranberry almond scone for around $10. The coffee was pretty good! Not too sweet and with the best amount of caffeine lol. LB has everything you'd want in a local coffeehouse. The drink selection is excellent as is the quality of of the coffee and espresso drinks. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and they have a nice comfortable atmosphere if you'd like to sit with a book or with your laptop. I've been here in the past for coffee and tea, and it's always been great. Dropped in yesterday to grab some beans to make Cold Brew at home, something I wanted to start doing again. I asked what they recommend or what they normally use, and I took home 12 oz. of the Espresso - Triple Origin Blend. I also requested they grind it for cold brew (coarse), as I unfortunately don't have a grinder at home. The barista who helped me was super super nice. La Paz is their signature drink & I would have an urge to drink it on rainy days. When the weather makes you feeling little melancholy, somehow the taste of caramelized raw sugar, cream, & espresso truly makes me feel at peace just like the name. Little spirit lifter that makes me feel at ease. Coffee & tea served here are organic & the beverages have been consistently good. Their cold brew is awesome too. Only thing I haven't tried is their food but seems very popular and busy during brunch hours. Parking space is sorta tight at times but you will find a space. They also offer seasonal menu/drinks. I come to this Lost Bean at least once a week if not more as my place to not only wake up but start my work - it's a lovely coffee shop/breakfast stop that makes me happy and a really loved local spot for Tustin residents. The service is perhaps the biggest takeaway. The staff all are friendly and have their fun personalities and do their best to accommodate whether it's changing a menu item or remembering to say hello to a familiar face. Seating in the morning is plentiful as the adjacent restaurant (which doesn't open until the evening) is also used as a seating area. The patrons that come by are a mix of business folk, local older residents and random passerbys. Makes for great people watching when you're taking a break. WiFi is good and there are some outlets available although not at every seat. I do like that the seating has a lot of variety from table top counters to bar seating to benches. It's comfy although I'd advise bringing a light jacket/sweater. Parking is pretty plentiful in the lot although can get busy as the day goes on. Food-wise, they have a variety of breakfast (and lunch) items from quiches to pastries to cooked items. I like to get the quiona cakes personally which comes with potatoes (or fruits), eggs (including egg whites), two quiona cakes and avocados. It's perfect for my current diet which is why it's been my go to (and which the cashiers know quite well :P). This is about $10ish They also have all the normal coffee items you'd expect including a few variations. I'm pretty standard so I just go with the iced Americano which is made well. You have the option to switch the milk to almond, goat, etc. I ordered it iced with soy milk and didn't like it at all. Maybe it's because it's soy milk, which I'm not much of a fan. I was hoping the soy milk was slight where you can't really taste it, but it's definitely on the heavy side. Just not a drink for me due to preference. I wouldn't say that parking is hard... but the parking spots are for miniature cars. I found parking easily in a one hour stall though. There are tons of options for coffee lovers or tea lovers or other blended drink lovers! I chose the iced chai and it came out quickly and was really good. There are also tons of food options (pastries, gluten free options, frittatas, and breakfast options if you're there early!). I got a little scone and a snickerdoodle and liked them both. There are lots of tables near plugs and tons of people were there studying (I came on a Saturday), and when the adjacent Lost Vine isn't open there's additional seating in there. The study vibes were good but I was there to catch up with a friend, and I felt almost uncomfortable talking at louder that a whisper inside. We ended up sitting outside at some of the tables in front so we didn't disturb anyone. Lost Bean has great drink and snack options and has good vibes to get work done, but it's not the most social or contemporary coffee shop. But for the past year or so, I have felt very disappointed with the service and coffee. This morning (7 am), the person taking my order did so without a greeting or even a smile. I ordered a latte, but she didn't even ask me what type of milk, and gave me the default one. The latte was average with a thin layer of foam. I've visited Lost Bean on many occasions over the past few years, and love the "at home" vibes it gives off. Friendly service, ample seating (indoor and outdoors) and they offer a variety of food and beverage options. Their black coffee is probably my favorite item and everything else is just ok. I've had their breakfast burritos, quesadillas, pastries and specialty coffees - which all have satisfied a craving, but nothing to write home about. What you'll love about LB is the small town feel, service and variety. There truly is something for everyone. I recommend visiting if you're in the North Tustin area. I've loved lost bean since it opened - I went to high school just down the street and spent countless hours (and dollars!) here - from homework to studying for the SATs and now 4 years out of college. The food has always been consistent and the coffee has too. But I am afraid I don't feel comfortable here anymore. Someone is sitting inside and working without a mask, someone came in to order without a mask, and no one said anything. Upon asking the barista if they enforce masks, he said they don't - he isn't comfortable with it either, but it isn't his decision. To the owner: are you really okay making your baristas and your clients uncomfortable? And spreading disease? It's disheartening to say the least. I had to get some work done before a client mtg. Searched google for FREE WIFI and that's how I stumbled upon this place. The place was buzzin and hoppin full of customers. Great atmosphere. I received kind guidance from the tall blond guy (didn't catch his name) cos it was my first time. The bagel sandwich w avo/spinach/veggie add ons $1.00 and bacon $1.50, total was $8.45. - A little high for what you actually get - It was good I admit - So if I net out the add ons, it works out to $5.95 for bagel, egg and cheese (which still isn't a great value: SBUX sausage egg cheddar is $3.95) - But if I compare spending $8.45 at other places there most def might be better values, get more food, etc. Then also got a hot coffee. I overfilled it w cream, so it was ok. - I am sure it woulda tasted better had it not been for my goof My table was not cleaned/cleared. But they resolved it while I was ordering, so it was all good! FYI and sort of a note to self: I would come back, maybe perhaps try their lunch menu. I would've ordered a frittata or quiche if it only came w a side salad. They don't have pickles... ugh. This coffee place shares space with the Lost Vine (wine tasting) but since the Vine doesn't open until after 4:30 the entire space is available for seating for coffee-drinking folks until then. The interior is hipster cool but with lots of dark wood which fits well for both coffee or wine. There are many tables, a small counter and some patio seating. When I arrived in late afternoon the place was fairly full of people on their laptops. I ordered a large vanilla latte and took a look at their display cases (quiches, salads, pastries) and went for a slice of carrot cake. I was handed the carrot cake in a bag and a few minutes later my latte was ready and given to me in a to-go cup. I took a seat at one of the smaller vacant tables. I saw other people eating off of plates so I guess the fellow behind the counter just made an assumption that I wasn't going to stay (perhaps wishful thinking on his part?). He didn't ask either way. It wasn't a big deal other than of course a lot of the frosting stuck inside the bag and eating the cake off the top of a bag was not my preference. But the cake was moist and really as close to perfect as carrot cake can be. Same can be said of the vanilla latte. It was served at perfect temperature to immediately start drinking and had a smooth vanilla flavor swirled in with the full-bodied coffee. Separate restrooms for men and women but unfortunately the men's room was out of paper towels so I had to resort to tp. Staff were efficient but blasé. 3.5 stars rounded up. read more

Like many people have said, masks are not enforced for either customers OR employees, as of today--even though CDPH has mandated indoor masking at least until feb 15th. Just pulling up to this cafe I knew I would love it. Super cute area, the decor is such a vibe. Amazing place to have brunch with the girls or a date. The Chai latte was super yum and thick. This café is located in a very cool strip mall that look like small European village. When you walk into this place, it is attached to a wine bar as well. I do not know the details for it, as I had come in here wanting coffee. The menu has a lot of great items, and snacks. They also have a lot in their display cases. I was debating between the mocha, or some of their specialty coffees, one of which was called the La Paz. I went with the La Paz as it seemed very different using brown sugar, espresso shot and milk. I got it iced since it was a hot day. The coffee tasted amazing, just perfect for a hot . The inside is small but they have very comfortable seating, and it was air-conditioned very well which is what I hoped.
