As far as buffets in the IE go, this one has been the best . Bear in mind I've never been to one of those very nice Vegas buffets so I don't have much to compare it to. The amount of options this place has was pretty great. A variety of nigiri and sushi rolls and some sashimi. I found that the sushi rice they used very very vinergry. So much so the rice was a bit soggy. I ended up mostly eating the sashimi which was very good. The crab legs were small and cold but they always had some out and they had melted butter for them. We went on the weekend so it was more expensive but they also had lobster. You can get one lobster half per time you walk up to the stand. If you keep going up you can technically get unlimited lobster. The other options were decent but since it was about 30 per person I would recommend eating the more expensive foods to get your money's worth. That had a decent dessert section including an ice cream bar and chocolate fountain. Most of the dessert did taste the same though. They are supposed to implement a mask and glove policy when people serve themselves at the buffet, however many people weren't following this and the staff did nothing to enforce it which was upsetting. The Luxe Buffet is one of the best buffet experiences I've had in the area. The variety of food is impressive -- from fresh seafood and sushi to carved meats, Asian dishes, and a wide selection of desserts. Everything was well-prepared, flavorful, and constantly being refilled so nothing sat out too long. I especially enjoyed the seafood section -- the crab legs and shrimp were fresh and delicious. The refill service was terrible; I asked twice for refills and my wife asked once, yet we waited for 15 minutes without any response. Average at best. When I first walked inside, the sight of foam plates and plastic utensils left a bad first impression. For $37.99 a person, it definitely seemed ghetto, but I am here for the food, not the silverware. When it comes to buffet, I tend to skip the Chinese stir fry and carb fillers. I am not going to eat chow mein, fried rice or orange chicken. My friends did and they said it was no better than any generic Chinese take out. The dessert did not look appetizing, and the dim sum was forgettable and bland. The prime rib and sausage were okay, not overcooked and seasoned well. I primarily ate only abalone, lobster and unagi sushi. The unagi sushi was decent but did not have the unagi sauce to go with it. I don't believe they ever bring out more unagi sushi after I was done. Very dissapointing. My favorite was the abalone; tender, flavorful sauce and it was constantly being replenished. The lobster was average, not a fan of the rich mayo sauce. I scraped mine off and just ate the tail. Not a lot of meat and you only get half a lobster every time. They bring out about 20 lobster halves every 10 minutes or so. Line moves pretty fast. I got my money's worth in seafood but overall I cannot recommend this place given the food quality and price. read more

I'm more of 3.5. Arrived about 8: 40 on a Saturday night, I was one of the last arriving. All serving stations were attended and all items were available, some with less but that made sense that late in the service. Lots of groups having dinner, 80% of the crowd was East Asian speaking in Asian languages, which is always a good sign of authenticity. Pluses - wide selection of soups. Few unusual items, at least for me, like dim sum chicken feet and frog legs. The lobster is an upcharge, and I would skip it, there are other better items to eat. Frog legs were good, although too much breading for my taste. High end items not executed well, like the duck and the oysters. . Fried chicken legs and clams very good. The hot vegetable dishes, there were 3, were fair. So that is what is pushing the 3 rating. Price...for a seafood buffet....it's about right. The fresh fruit dessert buffet was quite good. By the time I returned to my seat each time at the buffet, the prior dirty dishes had been removed, top marks. Those are 4 rating to average the 3. Is this place heaven? We didn't even have to wait! I got a ton of snow crab legs and melted butter which were cold and delicious and they kept refilling them so they were fresh. I had two plates from that and the sushi before i even made it to the hot food! I also had the peking chicken as well as desserts in the chocolate fountain and the swiss roll cake was my favorite. I saw a bunch of people lining up for the lobster but i didn't care - i love crab more! I didn't get to try the mongolian bbq section or the soups but i will definitely come back even tho it's a bit far for me. Cleanliness is a bit sketchy - esp in the men's bathrooms or so my husband told me. The women's was fine but lacking in the soap department. But its a buffet and i was fine with everything. My Brother-in-law suggested this place, said it was like an international buffet, an Italian section, Chinese section, a Mexican section and so on, and so on. Sounded good, so we chose this place. Walking in, my Brother-in-law was so wrong, it turns out to be another average to sub par Chinese buffet. We were all hungry and didn't feel like walking back to the car and look for another place to eat, so crossing our fingers and going to give this place a try. As I always do at a buffet, I walk the entire length of the food section and get a general ideal of what's being offered that evening, it didn't look to promising. My first plate was a little of everything and everything was either under seasoned or over salted, the sushi section didn't look any better, the salmon and tuna sashimi looked pitiful, dull and lack luster, crab legs was not chilled, but room temperature, it was ok, but just didn't taste fresh, only had one. The only thing that was edible to me was the fried rice, chow mein and the fried chicken wings, (with a little dash of salt) so on my next plate, I got more fried rice, chow mein and fried chicken wings. All I can say is, the staffers was nice and attentive, place was kind of clean and my stomach was full, and that's about it. Oh my God, I'm gonna have to keep this one really short because just thinking about the seafood here my mouth is watering and I'm drooling. That is exactly how I feel right now and I know that it's not very classy to describe this, but it just is what is happening at the moment I am very, happy at remembering those delicious dishes that I was able to experience. Now I'm not going to lie. I've only been there once this was a few years ago and I went with my whole family and it was a really nice get together and the service was excellent. So much has changed between pre-pandemic and now. My last visit prior to pandemic was Jan 2019. It WAS one of the best. NOW, as of September 2022, this place has turned downhill. Understandably, due to rising cost, it is expensive now. However, what I do not understand is they are still using styrofoam plates and plastic cutleries. It's no fun trying to eat steak with plastic fork and knife. At one point, one of the plastic prong on the fork snapped broke off. It got stuck in the meat. It is dangerous and health hazard. Fortunately I found the broken piece after searching for a while. Food wasn't as good as I used to remember. Steak was too red for me, so I tried to find an area that is not too red. Non red meat area was hard. Quite a disappointment since we drove all they way from Santa Clarita to Ontario just to eat here. That is 71 miles ONE way (1 hour 17 minutes). read more

Pre COVID-19, Luxe Buffet was my go-to buffet for crab legs and sushimi (mainly salmon). Back then, it was $25+ per person on the weekends, but now, I think it's over $35 per person. I haven't been back here since the reopening of restaurants... not sure if it's still worth the price. Anyway, they do have a great variety of different foods. Besides crab legs and sushimi, grilled lobster was another favorite of mine. Their lobster and miso soup were always delicious. They have lots of sushi rolls. They also have a Mongolian section. Their desserts were okay, but their gelato was the BEST! I would say Luxe is one of the best buffets I've eaten at. I don't know if I'll ever be back here though especially with their rising prices. We'll see if the crab legs and sushimi call for me LOL. If you're okay with paying for buffet prices similar to Las Vegas buffet prices, then this is the place for you. The service was horrible. They didn't acknowledge me and my mom and ignored us. The server made a mistake on my mom's drink and didn't apologize. They had a sign that said calamari but they didn't serve that. Food was alright, but have tasted better. $30 per person for this place wasn't worth it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My husband and my mother in law got food poisoning from here. The waitress was so rude the fact that we were a big party. She was bothered when we would ask her for things. My husband had asked for his food to get cooked and the man cooking it didn't even change his gloves. Not only that but as we walked away he was very unprofessional. He left his gloves on and was scratching his behind with out changing his gloves right after. Came here with family, party of 8. Honestly, this place was decent. A few things to note that the price went up ($40), and the quality wasn't great. Fries: tasted great, actually. Seasoned well. Mash potatoes: Also good. Not overly salty or buttery Mussels: cold and had a weird sweet and spicy sauce. Not recommended. Sushi: Decent, like store-bought versions Ice cream: Come in cups and was delicious Paying $40 for subpar food while being hounded by the manager is horrible. We didn't even get to enjoy ourselves and try out the mongolian food. The workers, though, were great. They cleaned out our plates and served us quickly. However, as mentioned previously, the price is not worth it. I would rather go to a quality steakhouse or sushi restaurant than visit this establishment ever again. Just when I thought I was too old for all you can eat buffets, we somehow ended up eating at Luxe. We haven't been here for a while and it looked and tasted pretty much as before. We basically limited ourselves to the different soups selections and some chicken wings. The beef tendon soup and the pork rib soup were very good. The fish ball soup was decent, but the hot & sour soup was way too sour. The wings were okay as were the desserts. The old chocolate fountain was still in operation, so I tried to cover a marshmallow and strawberry, both tasted fine. The ice cream now came in small prepacked cups and they weren't that good.
