I came here Friday morning with my husband and two year old son, I get very nervous going to eat with my son because not a lot of places like a busy two year old touching everything. The food was basic diner food, I got the sausage gravy over biscuit, my husband got a Mediterranean omelet, I believe and my son got the Mickey Mouse pancake. Me and my boyfriend just moved to the area and we were passing by this diner and lot and noticed that it was always packed with cars so we knew we had to try it out! We had lunch and shared an order of mozzarella sticks and the meadow's special club and upgrade our fries to disco fries. We told the waitress we were going to share the meal and to my surprise when she came out with our food she had plated it on two plates for us. This happened by accident. I have scathing for wet nuts on my waffle sundaes (walnuts soaked in vanilla syrup). The only diner in the area I knew had them was closing as I walked in. After I recovered from the heart attack I had I called around and found this gem! When you walk in they are all sooooo sweet and happy. The food at the other tables looked fresh and amazing. All we got was the waffle sundae, bacon, corn beef hash, tea and cocoa but everything was perfect! The strawberries were fresh and the corned beef hash was one of the best I've had. I found the food very good, but the environment was hostile. After we were served our food, a man came in with a very offensive shirt about our President and sat near us. He spewed ridiculous propaganda about things he clearly heard on a biased news channel and spoke so that everyone in the area could hear him. I found it very disgusting. Next the waitress came over and agreed with him. I paid for my food and left as soon as possible. I won't be going back there ever again. What an awful environment! Delicious food and kind, caring staff. Our food was hot, great portion size and so good! Our server was attentive and friendly. Coffee refills were on point!! What truly impressed me about Meadows Diner was how sweet and caring they were to their customers. I saw an employee run over to assist an elderly man to his table. The elderly man was having trouble walking and they gave him the closest table, and the employee gently held his arm and helped him into the booth. All of this was done with a smile and encouragement from the employee. Amazing food and seeing this kindness shown towards others is exactly what a 5 stars diner is all about! Breakfast only review. Cool chrome encrusted diner that is very cozy and clean inside. I loved all the booths that were available. And I was impressed with the customer service provided by the owner or manager as well as our server. My gf opted for the pumpkin pancake special. They accommodated her request for chocolate chips to be added. A good take on this fall favorite, but a spiced whipped cream or nuts would have really nailed this dish. My choice was an omelette that caught my eye, genoa salami provolone. It was ok, but sounded better than it tasted. The hash browns were pretty bland, no onions or slices added while cooking, so I tried my best to correct with salt and pepper. I would order a dish that didn't include tatters on future visits. This place continues to impress me. I have had BLTs, club sandwiches, chicken and waffles, french toast, and a number of other dishes and I am never disappointed. One day we sat at the counter and the guy at the door convinced me to bring a slice of pumpkin cheesecake home. He said if I liked it to come back and let him know. A few weeks later, we were back and we let him know it was dope! Seriously cannot go wrong with this place. I am moving away soon and I really wish I could take this diner with me. Everything was fine until we found a bread twistie tie in our food. They sat us quickly which was great. Took a while for the food to come out but it was busy so that's understandable. I did not taste any crab in it at all it was only filler. tasted like stuffing mix. then I realized there was something else in it, fake crab meat which is why I did not taste any crab. not to mention I got a oily substance that the waitress said with an attitude and ignorance that it was real butter. real butter solidifies into two layers after awhile,another lie. when I asked for melted butter she did not want to give it to me she gave me packets again instead of being a good waitress and melting it for me considering I did not like the oil . she also had to see that I barely ate the crab cakes and never questioned it. a professional waitress and establishment would. she also did not ask us if we wanted any dessert or refills. instead I got served cheap fake food. Absolutely the worse meal I've had in a long time. I ordered the Broiled Seafood Combo. I couldn't even get past 1 bite. It was over cooked and smelled bad. The taste,let me just say was atrocious. It tasted as if it was left to dry in the sun. The service was pretty good. My server was Sarah. I felt as if she was embarrassed by what I had said about the meal. And as I sat there I could see and hear management berating a server and making her cry. Then from what I could see,she was sent home and fired. Not what you'd like to see while out to eat. I have never had a bad meal at meadows! I have come here since I was little and would order the "Miss Piggy" every time (ravioli). Eventually i graduated to a bigger portion of ravioli. I love their pasta and sauce.. it's obviously not gourmet but it does taste good! My mom is a fan of their gyros and my dad seems to love their seafood platters. The salad bar is always stocked and has a decent variety of topping and their soups are phenomenal! I always try to go on days when they're serving cream of broccoli because it is by far the best soup I've ever had. The breakfast they serve is also reasonably priced and always a decent portion. Their omelets are what i usually go for and they are always full of flavor and very large! They also have French toast and Belgian waffles with ice cream (which is my guilty pleasure on fat days!) The place is a little dated. I don't think the decor has ever changed since I began coming here almost 20 years ago. It also has a strange odor that seems to be stuck from years ago when they had a smoking and non-smoking section. It never seems dirty, just a different smell. I don't think I've ever had bad service from here. This is a really good and pleasant-staffed diner. I was here on a very busy Sunday at slightly before noon. The place was packed, with a wait in the "lobby," so I sat at the counter. I have never known the counter is THE place to be! You have a dedicated server, the coffeepot, and easy access to request for refills--but I didn't need to ask because the server was totally on top of everything. My Fajita Chicken Wrap was very good and substantial. I ate only half and had the remainder for next day's lunch. It came with french fries, a fresh, snappy dill pickle, excellent cole slaw, and a cup of soup. There were two choices for the soup so I ordered the Cream of Potato. I should say it was good, but for some reason, it tasted more like a cream of chicken soup than potato. Again, it was still very good. I try to order conscious of my health. The Fajita Chicken Wrap came with cheese and ranch dressing. I decided to splurge and keep the cheese, but I did inquire whether there was a lighter option for the ranch dressing. The server walked to the salad bar and grabbed two packages of a light-variety ranch dressing. And did it with a smile! I was in and out of there in well under an hour.
