First time here! I wasn't blown away, but I enjoyed my food and will return! I had the mac and cheese with bacon sandwich. It was just okay. I was expecting a cheesier (more potent) flavor, but it was pretty mild in flavor. I did enjoy the tomato basil soup, but it was your standard tomato basil soup. My husband got the BBQ bacon burger and he "thought it was fine." He would try a different burger next time. It wan't cheesy. He also had the dill fries and he enjoyed them (I thought they weren't great). I did love the flavor of the melt sauce! It's like a much tangier thousand island sauce -- so good!! Loved these burgers! Cool wall decor and high ceilings. Would've given if be at ara but we specifically requested extra jalapeño pickles and to add it on my Swiss spinach burger and we got zero jalapeño pickles :( then when I went to the front counter to ask for some I was given a to go box... not very great service that way but the food WAY made up for it! The GARLIC PARMESAN FRIES WERE , We ordered the OG double cheeseburger which was soooo goood and also the Swiss mushroom and spinach burger that was so juicy and flavorful! Had the melt Mac n cheese also that was creamy and delicious, gonna try the loaded next time! We really loved the house fountain sodas which we weren't expecting. Great location for Sac State Students!! The store is really spacious, clean, and cute! Love the lights and wooden furniture. However, the service was ridiculous. My friend and I walked in and were looking to order on the kiosk-- the worker made a snarky comment saying "Over here. Hey! Come here to order." And nearby customers laughed in awe of how rude the guy was. He was also super impatient! We were glancing at the menu for 2-3 mins and he kept rolling his eyes and asking if we were ready to order. The food took 10 minutes to be ready. Outside patio is beautiful! Great view to enjoy our meal. The Italian Job is the perfect option for something light, yet filling. The fries are crispy and tasty. LOVEDDD their warm chocolate chip cookie, loaded with chocolate chips, super chocolaty!! Made fresh, smells delicious, and tastes like a warm chocolate pillow melting in your mouth!! I would definitely recommend this place! The burgers actually lived up to the hype and the portions were perfect. Although I didn't notice an order counter, they had many self serve kiosks that offer the menu with pictures and descriptions. They are super easy to use and we got our orders within 10 minutes of ordering since the burgers were made to order. I ordered their regular single burger. And a side of their mini Mac and cheese. This is my first time there so I had no idea what was even on the menu. The employee that helped me out was very kind, greeted me as soon as I walk through the door. It wasn't too busy when I arrived so my order was ready in under 10 minutes. The mini Mac was solid. Better than a lot of places I've been to so I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10 Off the back. No complaints on the burger. They asked if I wanted it medium or well done. (I always feel like its a good sign when they give you an option). With the combo of the soft bun, sauce and medium patty, the burger was super moist. I just barely tasted the salt and pepper on the patty, which I think is a good thing. It was seasoned to highlight the beef rather than just taste salt. 8/10 Overall it was a good first experience. read more

Sunday, 10/20/2024 - Tried The Melt. Address is 2070 Fair Oaks Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95825. It's at the corner of Howe and Fair Oaks. It's a new building with lots of business names on different doors, but they are not open yet. Melt is own tho. Upon arrival..... Pros 1) clean little restaurant inside. They had seating outside too. 2) the gentleman man, Sean, who took our order was very nice. It was our first time there, so he was very patient with us. 3) I was told they made their own sodas. They don't use bad ingredients like the red, yellow, blue ingredients, etc and don't use high fructose corn syrup in their soda. 4) We got the Steak and Cheese sandwhich and the BBQ Bacon Meltburger with sweet potato fries. Everything we had was great! Tasted good. Love their pickles that came with the meal! It wasn't some rinky dinky thin sliced pickle. It was A PICKLE (a nice chunky big half) and it was good. 5) Cons 1) parking is limited. I only saw parking in the front and it's very limited. I may have missed a larger parking lot somehow. I'm not sure how parking will be once all the businesses open. 2) Most of the tables outside were dirty. Maybe due to not many staffs working today? 3) they don't have a meal deal. It's all a-la-cart order. Conclusion I like this little joint. It was good. We shared the burger and it was enough for two people. We don't eat a lot normally, so we were both very full. The sweet potato fries were good. Made perfectly. Our little one ate the whole Steak and Cheese sandwich. We wished it came with some kind of dip tho. But it was still good regardless. We only dealt with one staff membe, Sean, and he was very sweet and professional. I do hope that we missed additional parking somewhere. I had really high expectations coming here because of the 4.6 rating, but unfortunately this was a huge letdown. I'm a big foodie and don't mind spending money on good food, but there's nothing worse than wasting calories on something that isn't even enjoyable. We drove 30 minutes to try this place, only to leave very disappointed. Our order was taken incorrectly, which set the tone from the start. On top of that, the food itself was extremely underwhelming. The beef patties had no flavor, and everything tasted un-seasoned. It honestly felt like a very basic burger with no attention to quality or taste. The only reason I even ate it was because we were already there and hungry but it definitely wasn't worth it. I've been driving past "The Melt" sign 3 days a week for the past month and a half for work and finally decided to try it out for lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger and added bacon + bacon ranch cheese fries. The fries had a really nice seasoning on them and generous portions of ranch and cheese. They were filling on their own. The cheeseburger was juicy as well and all the ingredients seem to be of high quality. I'm not a fan of crispy bacon or that microwaveable bacon so I appreciate their use of real thick cut perfectly cooked bacon. I placed my order ahead of time and it was ready by the time I arrived. I'll probably have to go back and try something else if I still have to keep coming this direction 3x a week. read more
