They have lots of historical pictures of Sacramento dating to the late 1800s. One of my favorites was a map of Sacramento in its early development before most of the town was built and there were no freeways. You can phone in orders for take out, order at a kiosk and pick up an assigned buzzer, or order at the front counter and receive a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready, We ordered at the front counter. The service was impeccable, our server Timothy was spot on, pinpointing our order as me and the wife contemplated on the menu. A friend of mine said that this place has good hamburgers. So I came in and ordered a Meltburger with no jalapenos, no Melt sauce, and I added bacon, and they throw in lettuce & tomato for free. I also ordered fries with cheddar sauce, which is not really on the menu, but they made it happen. The cheese fries were awesome, I would I highly recommend. The burger on the other hand, had a major issue, the bacon they use is an embarrassment. The bacon was thin and flavorless, maybe like Oscar Mayer bacon from the 70's. Me and my wife went to the melt for dinner. This is a new place that had opened about for a few weeks. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by staff. The staff were friendly and very polite. I ordered Sicilian chicken sandwich and Parmesan fries. The sandwich had chicken, mushroom, mustard, Swiss cheese on a sourdough bread. We've been meaning to eat here. My gf isn't as crazy about cheese as I am but she was a trooper. We rolled into what looks like a fairly typical fast casual restaurant with the visible ceiling ducts and those industrial steel chairs that do their job if limiting how long your a$$ can tolerate them for fast turnover. I get it. Steve Miller Band playing overhead. We ordered the Steak and cheese, which is like a cheese steak with onions and peppers on a buttery toast, and some garlic Parmesan fries. We ordered it to split since we're both on GLP-1 meds (that fat losing shot.) We also ordered a strawberry lemonade and helped ourselves to free water. We took a seat to the sounds of "High" by the Chainsmokers. They give you one of those gadgets that vibrates and makes a racket when your order is ready and scares the be Jesus out of ya. We weren't sitting there two minutes before the thing... Did it's thing. I know.... You're thinking, "Man, get to the food!" I took a bite of this ooey gooey hot cheesy steak delight and it knocked my socks off. Shoes and socks went flying across the restaurant. The perfect bite. If my mom was living, consider her slapped. The bread is buttery and crispy, the perfect compliment to the steak and all that heavenly cheesy goodness. The garlic Parmesan fries were good too. However, we didn't know they put red chili flakes on them. Made them too spicy for our tastes. (I used to love spicy food but it's just doesn't agree with us since we've been doing the shots. Weird.) Next time I'd tell them to hold the pepper flakes and it would be perfect. If you love spicy, you'll love these fries. Did I not mention the strawberry lemonade? It's real. It has strawberries in it! So refreshing and sweet, like my significantly better half (minus the beautiful large gazongas. My bad. TMI.) While I'm sitting here listening to Men at Work at my table, belly full of steak and cheese and fries, writing this review, Timothy stopped by to see how we liked it. Told him it rocked and he asked us to write a review. Told him that's what I was doing. I can only imagine how good a cheeseburger would be from here. They also do Mac and cheese and I am a fanatic when it comes to cheese and pasta. I might even bite someone who got too close to my mac and cheese. The food is hittin'. The service is AMAZING here! Every time we come, we seem lucky enough to have Timothy help us out. He's so knowledgeable of the menu as well as suggestions and accommodations. He never stops moving. If this was my establishment, I would be lucky to have him as a loyal employee. The food here is top notch and is always fresh and fast. And surprisingly reasonable. Unbelievable, actually, when you think of what we would get for the same amount at a McDonald's. It is always cool and spotless every time we enter. And I also wanted to add that we have made a DoorDash and the food came hot and exactly as if we were to order it in store. I went here after a run with a friend who spoke highly of the location in Folsom. The place was empty but it was still recommended we use the computer to order. It was a confusing setup and not user friendly. While we were ordering another person came in and they got helped in person at the counter. Not sure why the difference, until I overheard someone say they were short staffed. Ah. Got it. Explains the request to use the computer. Except that the food quality didn't make up for the lack of service. My burger was small and dry, and not cooked thoroughly. The seasoning on the fries and burgers, touted as "the thing" that makes everything taste fantastic, was subpar. I didn't finish the fries. They left a bad taste in my mouth. Later on that evening I got sick. I'd be willing to try them again and update this review if the experience is better, but also, I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to get myself over there again. The original chicken Sandwhich was also outstanding both tasted freshly made and cooked with love! The friessssss! The garlic fries reminded me of garlic fries from sf giant games but with a hint of red chili flakes which made it even better! The regular fries were seasoned great as well. Now the sodas...I am a huge Coca Cola fan and they have alameda sodas on tap and surprisingly I enjoyed them! But they do have canned Diet Coke and Coke and pre made strawberry lemonade in the grab n go area. Inside was very clean and welcoming. The staff was kind and anticipated the needs of guests before we even asked. She came around and asked how everything was and handed some people ranch and napkins if they wanted it. This place is delicious. At first, I was didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised and the customer service is always great. The staff is kind and consistently patient with my elderly family members, which really means a lot to us. We have tried both the classic and spicy chicken sandwiches. Both are good, but the spicy one is better thanks to a flavorful sauce that adds a nice kick. Their burgers look and smell amazing, and I have yet to try one. We have also ordered the patty melt and the steak and cheese melt, and both were outstanding. I do want to note that the patty melt is not served on rye bread, as they use an artisan bread instead. That said, it was still excellent. The patty melt comes with a grilled Angus and Wagyu burger patty, caramelized onions, melted Swiss and provolone cheeses, and their house melt sauce. All sandwiches come with a dill pickle spear on the side. The steak and cheese melt also features a grilled Angus and Wagyu burger patty, caramelized onions, Swiss and provolone cheeses, and their melt sauce. They also offer mac and cheese bowls. The garlic chicken bacon mac and cheese bowl is pretty self-explanatory and very tasty. The steak fajita mac and cheese bowl comes with a cheese blend, grilled onions, red bell peppers, and jalapeños. It's hard to say which one is better because they're both incredibly. It's just a matter of what I am in the mood for. I want to also mention that they have a traditional mac and cheese and a mini mac. The mac and cheese is creamy and delicious and it appears that all of them are covered with an additional amount of cheddar cheese and toasted to the perfection; providing that perfect balance of creamy, crunchy, and gooey cheesy-licious. One of my favorite things about dining in here, somewhat unexpectedly, is the Alameda sodas. They are incredibly tasty and offer a fun nod to the nearby town of Alameda, complete with creative names. Options include Hangar 25 Cola, ginger beer, OakTown root beer, Lost Island ginger beer, Golden Gate orange, and Old Fountain cream soda. These sodas are a fun treat. If you order drinks to go, the options are limited to lemonade and strawberry lemonade, which are also available for dine-in. There pretty much isn't anything I wouldn't try on this menu which is why we look forward to coming back and trying more items since so far everything has been a yummy success! read more

Every time I come to this spot it's always a great time. The food is bussin. The people who work here are great, I frequently get asked every other visit or so if I'm enjoying the food. I don't NEED to be asked right im young idgaf, but it does feel good that someone actually cares if you like it so I do appreciate it when they ask.
