I've been to a numerous amount of Melting Pot locations, and they've tended to be older buildings, and not so high quality settings. Well this location beats them all! When we walked in, we were happily greeted by the hosts and manager on duty. We were promptly sat in a very quiet nook--couldn't see another table in sight! I had requested a quiet table and provided! I booked the romantic touch package which included rose petals on the table and photo booth access in the back of the restaurant. It was quite the surprise to my husband because he had no idea. We enjoyed the Wisconsin Cheddar, Land and Sea, and the Pacific Rim, with their special dessert for the night--Dark Chocolate Salted Dolce fondue. ALL of it was divine! Our server, Scott, was absolutely amazing and knew every bit of information about the menu, front to back. He had great recommendations and made sure our special night was top notch! I love cheese fondue, but I'm not a fan of boiling food in broth or oil, so I was delighted to discover that The Melting Pot now has a grilling option for the entree. We had the Big Night Out dinner for two. We started with the fiesta fondue, which had some nice crunchy jalapeno bits in it. The California salad and strawberry pecan salad were both good, somewhat similar, but differing by type of greens and dressing. Our entree included Filet Mignon, Teriyaki-Marinated Steak, Chicken, Shrimp, Salmon, and a pasta that we subbed for Potstickers because they grill better. My favorite was the Teriyaki-Marinated Steak. For dessert, we selected a plain dark chocolate fondue. I particularly liked the crunchy chocolate chip waffles that came with it for dipping, but there is also the usual area of fruits and baked goods. I recommend the Classic Pairing, four wines well-selected to match each course, at a reasonable price. We went for lunch the day before Mother's Day, so it was very busy, and I have to say you couldn't tell. Tom, the manager, and Harrison, our server had everything totally under control. Came here for Magical Dining! Which was a great deal to get a dining experience at a place that I probably wouldn't normally visit. Parking was super frustrating....had to circle around the lot a few times on a Thursday night because it was quite full with so many businesses in one plaza. We got sat right away. This place is a maze! It has a bunch of small rooms with only 8 or so table per section which makes it feel quite intimate and private which I appreciated. With Magical Dining, we got to choose a cheese fondue, entree, and chocolate fondue. My table went with the Bacon and Brie & Wisconsin Cheddar, Pacific Rim entree with Coq au Vin and Mojo cooking styles, and Dark and Dulce & The Original for dessert. There selection of cocktails looked delicious although I didn't partake. I personally didn't like the strong wine flavor of the Bacon and Brie, so I stuck mostly to the Wisconsin Cheddar, although it didn't stay at melty after a while so made it a bit hard to fondue at the end. I enjoyed my selection of meats with the Pacific Rim. Mostly cooked mine in the Mojo flavoring. I appreciated the mushrooms, potatoes and broccoli that also came in both our entree pots. You also get six sauces during the entree course. We loved the gorgonzola and teriyaki sauces best. My overall experience with the entree course was overwhelming. There were too many choices and flavors that it wasn't an enjoyable experience honestly. I don't know if it was it was because my first time at the melting pot, but it overwhelming haha I would possibly try this all again but with less options to choose from. My favorite part was of course dessert! The Original was milk chocolate and crunchy peanut butter and was part for dunking the chocolate crumb coated marshmallows and bananas. The dark chocolate and dulce de leche was perfect for the other sweet treats making it a decant ending to the night. Our server was personable and funny but at times was slow to clean up between courses, and at one point when we asked him to clean the table before dessert, he just pushed the crumbs to the ground. (We were slightly disturbed by that.) Our whole meal took almost three hours which according to my dinner companions was longer than usual. I may try the multiple course meal again but honestly might just stick to dessert if I come back. read more

A popular spot to go and celebrate a special occasion, the Melting Pot offers a novel experience of cheese fondue appetizers, "cook it yourself" entrees, and chocolate fondue desserts. They have an à la carte menu but also have set courses, particularly for special days. We went on Mother's Day and they had a set menu where we could choose between specific appetizers, entrees, and desserts. For appetizers we chose between different cheeses, our table selected the brie and bacon and cheddar. They prepare the fondue in front of you, melting the cheese and adding all the garnishes, it's certainly a nice touch. The fondue was served with a platter of breads, fruits, and vegetables. The cheeses tasted pretty good as well. For the entrees we selected between several different cooking methods. We picked the grill option as well as a pot of oil to fry with. This was served with a selection of meats plus salmon and shrimp. And of course for dessert we picked between different chocolate mixes. We had the flaming turtle, which they flambé in front of you! And the the Yin and Yang. They serve various fruits and sweets to go with the chocolate fondue. All in all it was a pleasant experience. The servers really go out of your way to actually "take care of you" and even though the food is great as well - that is what really makes the experience for me. Speaking of food - you really should always go for their prix fixe specials which include cheese fondue, salad, main and desert. It's a good deal and you really do want the whole progressive experience if you are there for a special event. Everything is yummy and the table side prep touches make it even more special. The only bummer is how tiny the salad feels, but you have enough food overall so it isn't a big deal. They are taking Covid seriously which is great to see, staff is all wearing their masks properly and they are enforcing it in the restaurant. I was especially happy to see they had tables set up outside as well. The weather was lovely and it was a great way to experience dinner. I am a Melting Pot regular and have been since the original Melting Pot in Maitland. Since the early 90's, I have chosen the MP for birthdays, dates, anniversaries, and out of town friends' hosting. My love for the experience is evident! With that said, on this very last visit, we were blessed with Chadwick; a fun, personable, and very service oriented waiter. This is why I had to stamp yet another review of MP. We started with a glass of wine, and were happy to see a "Thursdate" 4-course dinner, including The Big Nite Out. Cheese, salads, Big Nite Out, and Chocolate Fondue all in the offer! Wooowza! All for only $45 per person. So, if you are considering the Melting Pot anytime soon, Thursday is the night to get a reservation much easier, to get a great value, the usual amazing service and plenty to get you to unbutton your pants! The experience was great, the staff was nice. However, I kept feeling rushed between each of the courses. The dippers are not great in terms of quality (the bread specifically was really dry and a couple pieces raw veggies) but I guess it doesn't matter if everything is dunked in gooey cheese anyways. Came with veggies, potatoes, 8 house-made dips and a cooking broth which was fun. I absolutely love the Melting Pot. Granted, it's not a restaurant you come to all the time, but I enjoy the concept -- and not being rushed through my meal. But I've been to quite a few different locations, and they're not all created equal. We live in Tampa, but we vastly prefer the Orlando location... and since we are annual passholders to Universal and SeaWorld, it's easy enough to plan in advance to come here every once in a while. On our first visit, we came here for my husband's birthday weekend, while we were in town for MegaCon. I first noticed how this location was so much quieter and less hectic feeling than the Tampa restaurant. We had Oscar as our waiter, and he was just the best. Super friendly, and just happy to go above and beyond for whatever you needed or wanted. When he saw we were running low on the soft pretzels for the cheese fondue, he brought out more without us even needing to ask. And when I asked for extra curry sauce for our entrees, he brought out a larger bowl of it instead of the usual tiny container it comes in. For dessert, since it was my husband's birthday, Oscar brought out a couple of the fancier dippers for us on the house, which was super sweet of him. We enjoyed that dinner so much that when we were back in Orlando a few months later, coincidentally for my birthday weekend, we decided to return to the Melting Pot, and this time we specifically requested Oscar. He was just as delightful for this meal as he was for the last. He made sure we got a 6-pack of chocolate-covered strawberries to go since we'd signed up for their "Club Fondue" on our last visit, and they were SO GOOD. Had a reservation for 8pm last week to celebrate our daughter's 17th birthday, our party arrived a little before 8pm. After being sat at our table, it was almost 9pm, and we still had nothing but our drinks. As dinner progressed, we were taking the dirty plates, glasses and silverware and stacking them at the end of table because our server, Robert, had not picked them up during each course of our meal. Needless to say, we did not get out of there until 11pm. One of our family members had to leave in the middle of dinner due to a previous commitment and how long it was taking to get our food served. I came to The Melting Pot for my birthday, and did the Magical Dining menu. It was a great experience, thanks to the fun and delicious courses and our server, Noah. He was very informative. We started with a Brie and bacon fondue, which was rich and the perfect amount of cheese. The pretzel bread was delicious. I have to admit that we were a bit overeager, so the white wine taste was a tad strong when it hasn't burned off yet. Next we did the steak lovers meats on the grill. It came with veggies (which took a while to cook), 3 types of steak (garlic crusted, teriyaki marinated, and filet mignon), and 6 sauces. There was a handy guide for cooking times on the table. The teriyaki marinated steak was my favorite! It was so tender and flavorful. I really enjoyed trying all of the sauces as well. Dessert was amazing. We chose the caramel crunch, which was milk chocolate, caramel, and crushed Heath bars. There were so many options for dipping, from blondies to bananas. I also got a little pound cake with a candle for my birthday, which was a nice touch. Five stars for great service, good food, and such a fun experience. My sister and I went here last night to check out their happy hour deal. For $20, you get cheese, salad, and chocolate. Is it worth it? Absolutely! The cheese and the chocolate have always been my favorite part. I was a bit curious as to whether I would miss having the main meats. But I didn't miss it one bit. I usually walk out after the complete four-course dinner stuffed beyond belief, wobbling to my car. But this time I actually found myself comfortable. Full but not stuffed. Able to relax and enjoy myself after without a total food coma. We started with the Alpine cheese. There was a nice hint of nutmeg and pepper that brought out a spice to the cheese I wasn't expecting. It had a wonderful white wine aftertaste as well. Very refreshing and light for a cheese. Tasted delicious with the cauliflower especially. My strawberry salad had a wonderful poppyseed vinaigrette that complimented the candied nuts and spinach wonderfully. I love the housemade seasoning blend they give you to put on the salad. For the chocolate course, we did a create your own: dark chocolate and amaretto. We were a bit worried the alcohol would burn off and the amaretto wouldn't come through. But that wasn't the case at all. It had a nice kick to it, and the almond amaretto flavor shone through perfectly. It was our best chocolate fondue creation yet! The spread to dip in the chocolate has grown as well. There are now salted waffles, which sound weird but actually ended up being one of my favorites (after the blondies). Now they only need to add pretzels to the mix and it would be perfect. During happy hour they also do something fun with their drinks. If you order a drink, you get to roll a dice and whatever number you get is how much money you get off your drink. My first one I rolled a 6 so my drink was $6 off! That's basically a steal for a good glass of wine.
