Not sure how this place isn't rated perfect 5 stars. May be my favorite spot in Austin. Okay for specific dishes I can think of better places to get a pizza or a sandwich but I can't think of a spot with such a cool aesthetic and feel that works all times of the day. Great place to grab coffee and breakfast tacos (bacon is my favorite here), fun to share a pizza and beer after kayaking, huge wine selection to have a glass with friends in the backyard area. I have been here only twice during Covid19 year, and it was a very pleasant and safe experience. The food amazing food and service was exceptional. Now that Texas has opened up it I drove by there twice and it was super crowded. Will try again during the week. read more

I've been looking forward to checking out this new spot and the esthetic was spot on, actually didn't get coffee but was hungry, skipped the delicious looking pizza bc gluten and ordered a bowl. Added the chicken and it was all quite delicious, however, overpriced in my opinion. Will try again but stick to a coffee next time. :/ read more

Gosh - if you say you offer Gfree pizza - learn to cook it - just because our diet requires no wheat doesn't mean we don't expect good food. Taste what you cook. We sent it back - still terrible, so we left - no one asked why or offered a refund. Also, gosh get someone to run the register who knows your menu and who gives a dang. "Do you serve gfree bread for avocado toast?" Answer: "Uh, the chefs don't know, but maybe we do?" Great new spot on south Congress for solid coffee, a quick pastry or sit down lunch. Popped in during ACL for snacks and caffeine. Snagged a corner of my girlfriend's date energy bar (yum) and quickly polished off my ginger scone. Coffee drinks were on point. Open atmosphere, friendly staff, good amount of parking. read more

It's super cute inside and I love the atmosphere. The coffee was great and the pastries looked delicious! But the food was so, so. We had brunch, and all of us were just a little disappointed. It could be because I'm hooked on Everything Bagel Seasoning and nothing is the same without it. But, the higher probability is that all of our eggs were really cooked through. Best everything. Veggie burger, pasteries, marg pizza, the matcha is to die for, the wines-- the passion behind each station from the top of the chain to the bottom. Hardly anything is random, dialed and ever changing, the Meteor only gets better with age. Happy hour is *chefs kiss* and the patio is so pretty. Update: Oct. 2019 Came back in for lunch and continue to be impressed: I love the pizza, and the service has improved (of course, since I went opening day so this was to be expected). Staff is super friendly, and continue to haul ass. The beer&wine case continues to look sharp and I love that they carry nice stuff for decent (and yes, also expensive) prices. One last note - I just cannot get over the aesthetic of this place (one other bonus is how CLEAN the bathroom is!!). Super sharp, fun, and great design and food! This place is not ready to do brunch. It is a crazy long wait. If you're doing counter ordering and seat-yourself, you need to be able to turn tables fast. My husband, three year old and I all ordered varieties of eggs. Nothing that requires a 45 minute wait. The wait staff and the person behind the register are not knowledgeable about the menu, either. And please, if someone orders a side of eggs for a toddler maybe don't put a ton of black pepper on it. My husbands egg sandwich looked great and he liked it, but my fried eggs and hash browns were ice cold and the hash browns were undercooked. Really good sourdough! I was looking for a nice loaf of sourdough in the S. Congress area without having to drive too far, and this place delivered. I ordered it curbside to pick up from their online "marketplace" and it was ready to go in 10 minutes. I could tell it had been baked that day and was super fresh. I know not everyone would choose to go to a cafe just for a loaf of bread, but the "seeded sourdough loaf" was just really excellent! read more

I'm a small person, and I ordered a small latte, for some reason it was the size of my hand..seriously the smallest I have ever seen. And for some reason it costed seven dollars? Usually I pay about four... just a mediocre coffee nothing special. If you like to feel ripped off in a coffee shop that doesn't allow dogs in Austin Texas then come here! I discovered this place as a way to get my donut fix (Andy K only served at select brick and mortar locations in Austin). Initially, it was such a happy accident as my husband loved their coffee and we discovered artisanal style kolaches. We quickly became weekend regulars as a COVID safe place to grab a coffee/chai and a donut/kolache and sit on a patio. We raved about it and brought friends, but then in recent months we've had several (at least 5 disappointing experiences). The selection and quality of the kolaches has plummeted. They used to have a generous serving of some delicious filling, now they're mostly doughy bread with subpar fillings like potatos. The breakfast tacos were always mediocre at best (that's tough in Austin). Additionally, the selection of donuts took a nose dive back around Thanksgiving. But what really put this place on our "do not return" list was today's visit, where their delicious chai was replaced with some sort of syrupy chai and parking was impossible with not a good donut/kolache in sight. Not sure what happened? Pretty bummed about the changes, the place has a great vibe. read more

The coffee was served in a mug with a second serving in a small wine carafe on a tray with coasters. It was charming but not functional. The second cup of coffee gets cold long before you drink it. The biscuit is not served warm. A room temperature biscuit with cold butter isn't very appetizing. The space is beautiful and the counter staff were warm and inviting. I really loved this cute new coffeeshop/bike shop. Came in to work one Saturday afternoon and felt right at home. Came at a later date for pizza and wine and it didn't disappoint. Pizza is sold by weight so that was interesting. Definitely will be back!! Oh and the staff is so friendly read more

I was really hoping this would be my new cozy neighborhood spot removed from the typical south congress hubbub; instead it's an absurd monument to Cold Brew Culture; even speaking as a bougie hipster, I'm astonished. Last time I'll break a 10 to throw hot water in the garage. Don't think I can give it another shot due to the excessive pricing. When I asked about the price, I was told "we give you quite a lot of tea." The tea fog I ordered was with black tea, but it was so weak it looked like a white tea, and the drink was flavorless because of this. Terrible experience here. Well, it started off well. The people are very nice and the menu looked great for brunch. We ordered French toast, a few pastries, some drinks and a brunch pizza. They took our order and we found a seat and waited. Within a few minutes a lady came over and said the pizza will take approximately 15 minutes and if that was ok. I told her yeah that's totally cool. She then sort of pressed me to maybe make another selection but I really wanted to try the pizza so I insisted I would wait. 15 minutes isn't a very long time. After 15 minutes I started to wonder where it was. My family had already eaten their food as it came out fairly quick. So I started watching them in the kitchen since you can basically see everything they're doing. The lady making my pizza was sort of all over the place. She would work on the pizza then get distracted and do something else. This happened several times before she actually got the pizza in the oven. She kept checking the pizza to see if it was done and this happened maybe 5-6 times. Seems kinda weird that you don't know how long the pizza should take. But whatever I just wanted my food at this point. When she finally decided it was time to take the pizza out, she put it down on the prep station in front of her, and even from where I was sitting I could see the eggs were still raw on top. She obviously noticed that too and decided instead of sticking it back in the oven, she took a blow torch to it in an attempt to finish the eggs. Well it didn't work. When I got my pizza (30 minutes after ordering) the egg was still raw. I'm used to runny yolks but not the white part. It was completely raw still and was running all over the place. I was starving, my family is waiting on me so I decided to just scrape the junk off the top and eat the crust. The crust was barely edible. Almost like a rock. I noticed that they make the crust before making the pizza and that's probably why she took it out of the oven with raw eggs. She noticed the crust was being overcooked. While I'm gnawing on the crust, the same lady who cooked it came over and got our empty plates and glasses. While removing them she dumped the entire cup of maple syrup on my 9yr son and all over the floor. She didn't notice. We cleaned up our son and left the syrup on the ground. I started to go talk with someone but it was starting to get busy and I didn't want to make a scene. I wanted to write a review right there at that moment but I knew I was mad and I didn't want to be irrational so I waited a few days. Anyway, we won't be back. And I feel like the $48 I spent that day for just a few items was in no way worth it. read more

Oooof. I want this place to succeed. It's a great space. Service is good to inconsistent which is understandable for a new place. But what is it trying to be? A place for a peloton to finish their ride? Too many parking spaces and not enough safe places to put your bike. Serious cyclists don't carry bike locks. A pizza place? Easily the worst pizza on SoCo. A coffee shop? It's decent and WAAAAAAAAAY over priced. $4.50 for a 6 oz. cappuccino? Am I back in Manhattan? Here's a top tip for you manager and owners: drop the price to $3.75 and I won't be offended by your audacity and will have 2, enjoy myself, and come back again and again. The wine selection is nice. Good quality and fresh menu, BUT $51 for a breakfast ( lettuce salad, eggs, a piece of sausage, little hash brown , and a half avocado plus a coffee. For two ? $51 and not even a toast ? Again , good taste , but with $51 I can have a nice dinner at Enoteca or any good restaurant around with full service . Workers are very nice and clientele look very trendy upscale youngsters who like to show up . Very East Coast-ish Southern Cali-ish concept for Austin , but overall , it was good. Don't think it would be on my list to repeat , but wish them good luck as I saw it not too crowded for a Saturday morning and knowing their rent may be very high . read more
