We've been here a few times and love it. First off, they are always decorated to the nines for what every holiday it is and we love that. Second the service is always fantastic. We've had Isaiah C as a server a couple times and he is absolutely amazing. So courteous and attentive. We love him. The food is also great and the portions are more than I can eat so I get two meals for one. Lastly their margaritas are fantastic My wife loves the watermelon margarita and would go here just for that.

Thursday, 2-05-2026: We met up with friends today for lunch. There was no wait and we were seated right away since our friends arrived before us. As usual the cafe elaborately was dressed up for Valentine's Day. Kudos to their decorators! This is a spacious restaurant that is very clean and it's beautifully designed & decorated. Their Halloween & Christmas decorations are off the charts and a sight to behold! We enjoyed great customer service, our friends' company, and fantastic food! I only ordered their flavorsome albondigas soup and everybody else got combo plates. This continues to be a favorite eatery.

Since my original three star review we have returned several times. I branched out and tried different menu items. So with all fairness in mind, I am updating my review. I liked their chile verde. The pork was tender and flavorful in a spicy green verde sauce, served with fresh corn tortillas. And the albondigas soup is a new favorite of mine. The restaurant is huge, and we have never had worry about being able to get seated right away.

Service was super fast and friendly. Although we were there on Taco Tuesday everything came out quickly and tasted great!

Took the salad home. Please find a better brand of bleu cheese and ranch dressing. Your current dressings are horrible.

10/30/25 Dinner 5:30-8:30 My Grandson is born on Halloween. He decided to have our family gathering here. 20% automatic gratuity for our group of about 24. We were seated in the family room and waited on by a very efficient waiter. He deserved that 20%. From the looks of it, everyone ordered and was satisfied with their meal. Me? I had a salad. I chose bleu cheese dressing. I already know to have ranch dressing as a back up plan, because most places have horrible bleu cheese. Well, my only complaint: BOTH BLEU CHEESE AND RANCH were horrible!!! I had to take my salad to go, so I could use my own dressing at home. Otherwise, such a nice hidden gem in Temecula. I say hidden because we've lived in Murrieta for 30 years and NEVER heard of this place. It was decorated so nicely for Halloween We should have been charged an entry fee, LOL! I hear they go all out for Christmas, too..... so I'm sure we will revisit. All in all, 5 well deserved stars for The Mexico Cafe

This place was decorated so good for Halloween!! Loved all the decorations. This was my first time trying this place, the drinks were really good and the bar area was nice with tvs to watch the games. Then they have a dining area option which was a little more quiet and nice for a girls night. Our waiter Ramon was very funny and nice! He was great. The blackberry margarita was really good.

We stopped in shortly after 7 on a Saturday night. I was anticipating a wait but they seated us immediately. A man quickly brought Chips and salsa to our table. A woman brought us water in short order. Our server stopped by for our drink order and came back shortly for our dinner order. I was shocked at how quickly our food came out. I want to say we were out the door about 30 minutes after we arrived. The older gentleman who was bussing tables and serving the chips and salsa and refilling waters was such a hard and efficient worker. It was impressive. I had the choke relleno plate and it was fine. My husband said his enchilada suizas were good. Fast service. Employees were polite. Decent food.

I took my Thai MOM here for a BELATED MOTHER DAY BRUNCH per her request. She wanted to avoid the crowd on Mother's Day and today seems to be the perfect non-crowded day to come and enjoy brunch with her and my tag along hubby... BTW, BRUNCH is only on SUNDAY! $34.99 or upgrade to $44.99 for unlimited mimosas!! FROM THE MOMENT you walk in: It feels like you have just entered a MANSION!! It's always BEAUTIFULLY decorative in all holidays. They have 3 banquet size rooms for service and 2 BARS! CHEERS!! SONG OF THE DAY to play along to this YELP REVIEW: SMOOTH by SANTANA... "Give me your plate, make it FULL or else forgot about it!" HIGHLY RECOMMEND: The POZOLE and the sweet corn with chile verde mini TAMALES! I went back TWICE for those! Also, don't forget to try all the salsas!! TACO STATION: Had 2 very hardworking & nice ladies there :) CAUTION: The TACOS are HUGE! VERY FILLING!! I wish they had carne asada, al pastor, cabeza and lingua! OMELETTE STATION: Had 2 hardworking guys there. They must be tired. Thank you and keep up the great work guys! BRUNCH: There was also an American breakfast which featured waffles, sausages, bacon, etc. My other favorite is the street corn. BIRTHDAYS: There were 3 birthdays happening within 2 hours that we were there. A lot of JUNE 1st BABIES on sight today! Feliz cumpleanos!!!! You get serenaded with a birthday song and provided a Mexican cultural sombrero!! HOW FUN!! WHAT a great place to CELEBRATE a SPECIAL OCCASION!!!!!! SERVICE: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thank you to all the staff for being so welcoming and has smiles on their faces. GRACIAS!!! PARKING: MUCHO!! PLENTY!!!! We will be back because YOU'RE SO SMOOTH ;) ROCK ON THE MEXICO CAFE!!!!

The Mexico Cafe was recommended to us by our friends while we were in the Temecula Wine Country. It exceeded every expectation. The menu is varied enough to satiate every possible meal you'll be craving. The portions were VERY generous. We needed multiple boxes to take home our leftovers. They do eventually charge for tortilla chip and salsa "refills" so be aware. The ambiance and decor here is very "interesting" since it's called the Mexico Cafe but it is fully decked out in the Red White and Blue. Toby Keith would have been proud to eat here. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and plan on returning after our next visit to Wine Country.

I always enjoy coming to this restaurant, they decor is always festive and the food is good. The Deluxe Meat Tostada is SO big, definitely enough to share. I enjoy it with the ground beef. The chips and salsa here are tasty, too. Our server was very attentive as well. I will for sure continue to dine here.

Title: Grand Prize Winner - Worst Burrito in the World On 12 17 25, I confidently ordered the Burrito de Pescado. The description sounded delightful. Fresh. Promising. Hopeful. What arrived was not food. It was a crime scene wrapped in a tortilla. Imagine a tortilla the size of a throw blanket, generously stuffed with rice and sad, dried out chunks of fish that looked like they had lived a full life and were ready to retire. It was so bad it crossed the line from disappointing to impressive. Almost funny. Almost. Unfortunately, I was very hungry. Thankfully, my wonderful wife shared her mediocre but technically edible plate, saving me from starvation. Other diners reported similar experiences, describing their meals as "fair" at best, which in restaurant language means "I regret my choices." Service was also on a scenic tour: * Long wait to be seated, despite many open tables * Long wait for the waiter * Long wait for drinks * Long wait to order * Long wait for food It was less dinner and more endurance event. To be fair, the holiday decorations were festive and charming. Unfortunately, festive lights do not justify $240 for five people, each with one drink and one entrée. At that price, I expect at least one dish to be memorable for the right reasons. With so many excellent Mexican restaurants in the Temecula Valley, this one earns a polite but firm farewell. Adios, Mexico Café.

Noodle consistency is great with their Blaze or Classic ramen options, as the broth tends to be a little thicker and creamier than the Shoyu option. Their appetizer selection is also pretty diner friendly and sure to include a little something for everyone. If you're not in the mood for noodles, they also offer regular or large rice bowls, which come with amazing flavor profiles all on their own. At a glance, the 'regular' size option might seem like an insignificant portion, but rest assured it comes ready to satisfy the types of diners who'd prefer to taste a little of everything. My only critique would be on the sushi selection. It didn't taste so fresh, but then again this place is obviously not named Silverlake Sushi, so I'll rest my case on that note. I stand firmly behind ramen being the craft that Silverlake takes time to perfect, both in the intricate taste and in visual detail. Highly recommend if you're craving noodles and don't want to drive out of town to get them!

I love that they are dog friendly and it wasnt too hot today at the patio. I got the bloody mary to start and it was pretty good. The bacon in it was amazing, however, it didnt taste like 2 shots. The drink was thick but the flavor was still good. I got avocado toast with smoked salmon. This very small meal was 20$. I got a lox bagel and 4 huge pieces of smoked salmon with capers and a side of avocado a few days ago in Vegas on the strip and that was 16$. Sooooooo... how is this justifiable? Anyways, I also ordered a diet coke and they came out with a mini can. Talk about why this place is called "small" barn. Lol! The server stated the can is super small bc its only 2$. Thats just silly. Just get the bigger can and charge me 3 bucks for it. Thats fair in my humble opinion. 4$ for two mini cans is wonky to me. Alas, these are not the reasons why this place originally got a 2 star from me. It was the tomatoes on my avocado toast. They taste spoiled, old, and mushy. It made my stomach hurt a bit. As for the salmon, it tasted like it smelled, funky. Why i ended up giving this place a 3 instead of 2 stars? Bc their creme brulee was the BEST creme brulee I've ever had. It was so luscious, creamy, and it felt like these are the kinds of desserts GODS eat! It was amazing! My server was friendly and talkative with me up until the end. For some reason, I just never made it back here; probably because the Promenade area isn't usually along our route. Coming here tonight genuinely brightened my day. I had just finished a long shift and a commute, and all I wanted was a good, comforting meal. My nutritionist told me yesterday need to significantly increase my protein intake to help reduce muscle loss related to my autoimmune thyroid condition. KBBQ seemed like the perfect choice; lots of protein without a lot of unnecessary junk. On my way home, I stopped at two other KBBQ restaurants. Apparently, I was unaware of the unspoken rule that some places don't serve parties of one on weekends. One restaurant even had me wait 25 minutes before telling me they wouldn't seat a solo diner during the weekend. Unfortunately, my husband is currently deployed, so being a party of one isn't exactly a choice for me right now! Normally, dining alone doesn't bother me at all, but today it got to me. I was exhausted and simply wanted a comforting meal. Being turned away after waiting 25 minutes just because I by myself was the last thing I needed. When I called this restaurant, the owner or manager immediately answered and was incredibly friendly. He explained that they offer entrée and plate options for guests who aren't doing the all-you-can-eat menu. I honestly don't understand why more restaurants don't offer this. I know the food industry is competitive and businesses have to make money, but having options for solo diners makes such a difference. When I arrived, I received wonderful service right away, and there was no wait, but they were full. The owner or manager recognized me as the person who had called earlier and went out of his way to make me feel welcome since we found out we're from the same area. He even added a little surprise to my order simply out of kindness. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. In an area with no shortage of restaurants, I want to give this place the credit it deserves, not only for the excellent food, but for the heart behind the business. Today, I'm especially grateful for the kindness and generosity shown to me. You never know what someone may be going through, and a simple act of thoughtfulness can make a bigger impact than you realize. His kindness truly lifted my spirits after a long and difficult day. I believe this is a small family-owned business, and they absolutely deserve the support of the community. Great food is easy to find; genuine hospitality is much harder to come by. I'll definitely be back!

My Daughter suggested Chef K due to their 4+ star rating, even though she had never eaten there before. Hidden in an outdoor mall it just looks like a glass front suite, but enter the doors and the interior is beautiful and clean with comfy upholstered booths and chairs. The young server greeted us with a strong Asian accent and took us to our seats immediately. We were the only customers in the room which made me a little nervous, but is was 2pm on a Thursday after all. We were presented with a hardbound colorful book of their offerings... pretty cool. We ordered and were quickly presented with: Spicy Pepper Beef: A medium spice level with a savory dark soy sauce, bathing ultra tender beef slices, married with thin sliced jalapeño and diced red and green bell peppers. Unbelievably delicious. Walnut Honey Shrimp: Mega large butterflied prawns quickly fried with walnuts and sweet glaze, crispy and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Tangerine Chicken: Large delicate and tender chicken breast pieces deep fried in a fluffy batter and glazed with a perfectly sweet and tart tangerine sauce. Our meal came with individual bowls of perfectly cooked jasmine rice. Enough food to feed 3 hungry adults and still have leftovers. $63 Why 5 stars? Without a doubt, the best, cleanest tasting Chinese dishes I have ever experienced. More to come from this place I'm sure. If you are anywhere near Temecula, get off the freeway and reward yourself.
