Again, ANYONE can improve, but unless you're a blogger like me and are always comparing aspects of a night out, you'd be hell bent trying to improve this place! I'm almost at a 5 star review for this restaurant, but if I give it a 5 now, I can't keep going back to have my Mexico Cafe fix and look for the tiniest push to my illustrious and hard to reach 5 star rating!! I find myself and my twin sister here at least 3 times a month and they ALWAYS deliver and we leave feeling like we got our money's worth. Wait staff is delightful and their Hostess "Kayleigh" (spelling) EPITOMIZES the beginning of a wonderful meal you're about to experience at the restaurant simply by being THEE BEST HOSTESS IN THE INLAND EMPIRE! When you have a beautifully appointed, clean restaurant (EVERY HOLIDAY IS CELEBRATED WITH THE RESTAURANT BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED WITH TONS OF LIGHTS AND FRILLS TO ENHANCE YOUR EXPERIENCE!) and the food is just as memorable, you've got a keeper! My ONLY wish is that brunch for non-drinking seniors who can't eat as much as they used to, be a tad more affordable......Maybe THAT can bring me up to my 5 star rating because my group of senior followers are ALWAYS looking for our "go to" place to meet up! I came here twice in a week. They just have very good prices for their lunch specials and my server, Jonny is so excellent. He made it enjoyable to come. + Kinda cute - Expensive for what you get -- Not authentic Mexican food: black olives, bland salsa, etc. From the outside it looks nice, but it's mediocre food. If you live in the immediate neighborhood you might try it, but otherwise, I would say this is a skip. read more

We came in for first time last night ( SATURDAY) at 8:00pm and had THE BEST WAITER!!! I hope I'm spelling his name correctly, please forgive me if not... Beto greeted us immediately with Chips & salsa, took our drink order, helped us with menu and recommended a few things. Our food came out amazing, and tasted delicious. What sets this place apart from the other ones down the road was waiter Beto... He made sure our Autistic son's food was made correctly & he cared to make sure he had everything he needed. These days it's hard to get great customer service & that's what Beto gave us last night. I hope he sees this, Thank you sir for your service. Had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was amazing! We had 40 people and were given the private room. It was a bit of a squeeze, but we were able to make it work. In regards to Steven K's posts below and his three other fake accounts that try to destroy great business' reputations, the owner and her family run a phenomenal restaurant. They take care of their employees and do their part to give back & participate in local school events. They are actually known for giving back and supporting the police departments locally and in San Bernardino SINCE 1951!!! Someone, who has way too much time on their hands clearly, will never be able to talk this restaurant down!! This place is massive. It was decked out with 4th of July decorations, which was cute. You can always tell the fate of your meal at a Mexican restaurant by the chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were a miss for me. The chips might be made in a different kind of oil than what I'm used to because they tasted different. Not in a bad way but definitely threw me off. Salsa was mediocre. Service was quick and friendly. They have lunch specials Monday-Friday from 11am-3pm. They also have happy hour, which might be our preference to return. The food was OK. This large dine-in restaurant is close to our home where we just moved, often driving past it. It's located in the Redhawk community in a more secluded spot away from the main shopping centers surrounded by lush greenery. We were escorted into a huge dining hall where tables were filled with conversations with voices echoing across the hall. The ambiance is quite lively and festive. As we ate our dinner around 6:30 on a Friday night, a musician played his guitar and serenaded each table with a song. It was such a lovely treat! I've never experienced that before! Food was excellent and I loved that I got a refill on my fresh, tasty horchata. I ordered the Albondigas soup, which I've never tried before--delicious! Calling a restaurant "The Mexico Cafe" and walking in to find giant American flags and leftover Fourth of July signage, five weeks after the holiday, is corny advertising and lazy branding. The decor felt like it was one cardboard Trump cutout and a few MAGA signs away from fully revealing its true aesthetic. It's not just tone-deaf, it's a parody of cultural representation. The food? Below average at best. The carnitas tasted boiled, stripped of any depth or crispness, and the guacamole had all the charm of something squeezed from a plastic tube. The massive open layout with awkward seating didn't evoke warmth or community, it felt like a caricature of Mexican hospitality, more interested in optics than authenticity. The young woman who served my family was kind, attentive, and likely doing her best in a space that felt more like a gimmick than a genuine restaurant. Her grace stood out in contrast to the environment. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was a mistake. But hunger and patience won out over instinct. I wish they hadn't. This was a massive disappointment, nowhere near the 4.1 stars Yelp is tossing around like confetti. We came on Saturday 3/1 at 7:30 pm. The place is nice. Service overall was good. Our server Panchito was professional and attentive. The Margaritas were good. My beer was cold. We ordered beef fajitas and shrimp fajitas. The shrimp fajitas were good but the Beef Fajitas had barely any beef. It's was almost all vegetable.
