Clean and aesthetic coffee. The coffee flavor is amazing , you can tell they use high-quality ingredients! I don't usually compliment a coffee shop on its interior, but the decor and ambiance here are beautiful and thoughtfully designed. It's definitely a place I'd come back to. The scent inside is like you're in a luxury hotel lol, feels clean and nice. Ideal place for studying and having work done.
Stopped by the grand opening last week which was a success! This spot offers a variety of coffee, matcha, and unique lattes along with pastries. Service was great and drinks came out super fast! I do wish that the pastries could be warmed up as an option. I tried the Dubai Chocolate cookie which was a little bit on the dry side. It was tasty, but not soft and more firm. Loved the black sesame latte and pistachio latte. The ambiance and aesthetic was chic and would be a great spot to work remotely or stop by for a coffee date. Seats are limited. Would definitely come back to try other lattes.
Menu has been revamped! I like how the Pistachio Latte is not too sweet, but the pistachio flavor got a little lost once it met the coffee. Would love a bit more nutty punch to really make it shine. Staff are warm and smiley, happily offer recommendations, and quickly make drinks. The interior is aesthetic with lots of guests studying. Looks like a promising refresh for the cafe ~ I just need that pistachio to speak up :)
Came here randomly for a quick coffee break. They have a good amount of indoor seating but it was all packed for a Saturday late afternoon. We got the black sesame latte and the einspanner latte. The black sesame was very plain and light in flavor. It didn't have a strong black sesame flavor and tasted more milky. The einspanner was good, very strong matcha taste and very creamy. I would get the matcha again but probably not the black sesame.
First look, the entrance and walking in had nice vibes and the design is aesthetically pleasing and I feel it would be a nice place to enjoy reading a book or chilling with friends. Aesthetic Design & Vibes: 5/5 Service was good, friendly cashier and quick to double check and answer questions. Service: 5/5 I ordered the strawberry matcha, Dubai cookie and banana bread. Strawberry Matcha: 3/5, if you prefer a sweet strawberry matcha this won't be the drink for you. I think the syrup of the strawberry is tangy and if that is your style of matcha then it would work out. Dubai cookie: 5/5 I never had a Dubai Cookie, so I can't compare to other ones, but it's tastes good to me, it's not dry, has a smooth chocolate taste, and I do enjoy the crunch inside. Banana bread: 3.5/5, is on the drier side of banana bread. It doesn't taste bad, just not the best I had.
Cute cafe in the Costa Mesa/Newport Beach area. Their drinks are so pretty but I think missed the mark on flavor and intensity. I think it's a good place to lock in on your studies and work though. 4 outlets and strong WiFi. Spacious and not too crowded even on a weekend. Many small tables, both inside and outside. I got the strawberry pistachio matcha and my friends got the double matcha and banana hojicha. My drink was a good blend of flavors but still milk forward. The double matcha only had a whisper of matcha but I guess you can say it was refreshing. The hojicha was smooth and the banana cream was nice. I have a feeling their coffees would be better tho. I had high hopes for the flavor since they took a good minute to make our drinks but it seems like today it's more aesthetic than memorable. Parking: for a weekend, too small of a lot for the many businesses in the plaza, busy brunch place next door. Perhaps a weekday would be better
Beautiful interior. It's what the kids these days would consider aesthetic. I got the Banana Hojicha and the Flame Coffee. I did not know that the Hojicha was green tea so I'm letting you dear customer know. The Banana Hojicha was very plain it just felt like I was drinking banana milk (2/10). The flame coffee was better (5/10) and it tasted a lot of brown sugar. I think I am much more disappointed because it was a longer drive for us. Service was quick because there was no line when we got there around 11 am. Again, maybe I didn't try the right things. Price $7.25- $8 per drink
The Moon Coffee is located in Costa Mesa, next to Fleur de Lys, and in the same plaza as Plums and my favorite Sushi Shunka. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. The interior looks very bright and modern. There were a lot of students studying here. They have a kiosk for self ordering. At the time of my visit there was no line so I just ordered with the cashier. I ordered the Black Sesame Latte ($7.50) because it was on the top of the list of their Signature Drinks and also because I enjoy black sesame and was excited to see it on the menu. The drink was made quickly and was presented on the counter a bit pretentiously without the lid. The issue is that they overfilled the cup, which means any attempt I make to put on a lid will make it spill along the edge. Also for the price, the size of the drink is incredible small. I enjoyed the taste of the drink but I was left unsatisfied with such a small cup. I might swing by if I'm already at Sushi Shunka and I need some caffeine to work off the food coma, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Came here Saturday afternoon. The place is cute, cozy with plenty of seating. We got the below Latte - a perfectly made latte, please don't change a thing black sesame latte - so unexpectedly good, not too sweet, would get again. tiramisu latte - great tiramisu flavor, started off really good but did get really sweet later matcha einspanner - another surprisingly yummy well made drink strawberry matcha - least favorite but still actually a good drink. dubai chocolate cookie - not to sweet, very yummy filling. The outer cookie could use a little more of a chocolate taste. Service was friendly and I could tell each drink was carefully and thoughtfully made to perfection. I can't wait to come back for the lattes. I am still thinking about them.
I've only been here twice, once around their grand opening and a second time after they revamped their menu & interior. I've tried their matcha, coffee, pastries and honestly it's just ok, nothing memorable. Their double matcha was pretty disappointing tbh...lacked matcha flavor and too much oat milk so it tasted like vanilla. Their strawberry matcha was a bit better though with fresh strawberry puree! And their sea salt mocha reminded me of starbucks chocolate frappe which my friend really liked! Clean girl aesthetic and work-friendly vibes with ample seating, several outlets, and minimal crowds on a weekday. Beware that they blast the music on speaker so you can feel the vibrations under the seats lol but it didn't really bother me.
Thé Moon is a unique and good looking cafe to take some time and study in. It has a more elevated atmosphere to it and a decent amount of indoor seating. The menu itself has a good amount of options in different categories, such as milk teas, matcha, and more. They currently have a build your own drink too, which lets you pick your own base and top which I find pretty nice to have as a more customizable option! I went with a BYD and chose a matcha latte as my base and black sesame cream top, and my girlfriend got the pink coconut matcha. In my opinion, the matcha latte itself was a little underwhelming, and it is limited to 12 ounces for about $8 which is a bit small. The pink coconut matcha in comparison was pretty good though! It's just, also small. Taste profile wise though I'd definitely say both are there, and the pink coconut was just a bit better.
Not sure if we ordered the wrong things or if we came on a bad day but the matcha was not good...The vibes of the cafe were super cute and had plenty of seating so it would make a good study spot!! My friend and I got the matcha einspanner and the black sesame matcha latte but both tasted like water and had no matcha flavor. Moreover, the black sesame matcha was comically small for the price of $7.50 :,) I'm not sure why they put that one in a 12oz cup instead of the 16oz like the einspanner but either way I had to toss it because it just wasn't drinkable. Ratings Black sesame matcha latte: 0/5 tbh.. Matcha einspanner: 1/5
what a pretty and spacious cafe! needed my iced coffee after spin.. the moon coffee to the rescue. ordered: flame latte black sesame latte build your own : cold brew with einspanner top the iced flame latte was my favorite. i wasnt ready for all the brown sugar but it was so so good!!! def on the sweet side. service was great. theres also a kiosk avail inside for ordering. parking: large lot. no issues.
such an incredible selection of drinks!! i want to try all of it omg. ended up with the wintermelon 10/10 and matcha einspanner 9/10! the quality is definitely there and the staff are so kind :) the interior is also beautiful yet so simple and would be a great place for coffee chats/ solo study sessions. read more

i absolutely loved my visit today. went around 4 pm to study and this cafe's atmosphere made me to productive. i stayed around 4 hours and by then my head hurt from focusing too much. i ordered the yuzu matcha, and it was such a good combination! the drink was not too sweet and the matcha flavor was very present. i highly recommend. i also tasted the strawberry matcha which was so good as well, very strong strawberry flavor. it is such a nice study space, very spacious and lots of seating. the seats are velvet and soft like a cushion, you won't get tired of sitting. they have very good and fast wifi. i will definitely come back and try their coffees earlier in the day! read more
The sweetest baristas ever!! They know how to make every customer feel special. My second time visiting, I ordered the taro cloud because I love the taste of fresh taro and while it did taste more like taro powder rather than the root itself, it was still yummy. They use cow milk so it was a thick slushie and the perfect consistency. 8/10, only thing bringing the rating down is that there could be more taro incorporated but it was rlly tasty regardless. Very very good only complaint is they didn't put the Matcha powder on top which whatever I don't care but just saying. But for someone that gets Matcha in LA all the time this was a very good one great flavor. Only other very stupid complaint as I hate these flip top lids lol read more

Thé Moon recently opened near my work so I stopped by to try it out. I got their new Pink Drink which is a chrysanthemum tea with rose and lychee. None of the flavors really stood out to me and it ended up tasting like a normal lychee tea. For $7, I don't think it's worth since the cups are smaller too. read more
This is the most beautiful boba shop that just opened in Orange County. Thé Moon hails from Canada and this is their first flagship location in the US. They even have their own tea farms so you can definitely taste the quality. Their signature coffee series is a must-try with flavors like Coco Crush and the viral einspanner. They also have fruit and milk drinks like the Ube Cloud with delicious cloud cream that's made in-house and the Shizuoka Matcha which was my personal favorite. You have to stop by and check them out! This place is super cute. It definitely has a girly IG pose & post type of vibes. I had zero problems finding parking but then again most of the businesses around were closed because of the holidays. On to the drinks. I wish when I was ordering the Coconut Crush the lady would've guided me to a better choice. I did say I didn't like coffee. I think I just hyper focused on the Coconut part because I do LOVE coconut. I ended up tossing it and having to order their Matcha Einspanner which was a better. The service was straightforward. The lady taking our order was super joyful. So that was nice. read more

I tried the Jasmine moon milk tea. I felt like I paid for milk. There was no tea flavor. I can't believe how bad this is. If you like jasmine milk tea don't bother with this place. read more

Very modern, chic and love the seating!! Heads up: parking is always a nightmare in this shopping center. It's next door to one of the busiest breakfast/brunch places so you can't always expect to find hop skip and a jump parking when wanting to come to the tea house. The drink I got was creamy (non caffeine) and sweet (next time will probably ask for less sweet). Great service and can't say enough about the design and look of this place and grateful for the comfy seating. The only thing at this particular time, I think they had flowers from their opening but they were now old and so it wasn't the most pleasant smell inside but you could tell it was from the old flowers. GUYS! Omg i can't say enough good things about Moon Tea house From the moment I walked in, since day 1, i was immediately drawn to the stunning, Zen-like ambiance. It's truly a beautiful setting, perfect for enjoying a drink or catching up with friends. I literally LIVE HERE. I LOVE IT. The staff here is exceptional - they're welcoming, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do which is so pertinent for me to have an amazing experience. The place is really spacious and aesthetic for pictures and vibes. The server waited for me to pick up my order. I ordered a matcha einspanner and strawberry matcha which both tasted amazing. There were lots of drinks options from bubble tea, coffee, matcha, sweet tea, and more. matcha einspanner: 10/10 -not sweet not bitter and best matcha einspanner strawberry matcha: 10/10: -strawberry is not artificial and matcha is perfect balance. read more
The aesthetics are very pleasing, and the drinks do catch the eye; I can see myself getting some work done here as there's ample seating. Most of their specialty drinks are premade with sweetener--however they do have basic coffee options such as espresso and lattes. They also had the option to make any of their milk teas without sugar. My mom wasn't the biggest fan of the latte, but my dad said that he would come back for the double shot espresso, so maybe it was just an issue with the milk ratio? They're both huge coffee drinkers, so it goes to show that their espresso is of pretty high quality. I got the shizuoka matcha without knowing what it actually was LOL. Turns out it was quite milky with condensed milk as well. I like my drinks to be a little more tea-forward, so I was initially a bit disappointed. One of the staff (maybe the owner or manager?) came by and asked how I liked my drink. When I told her my honest opinion, she offered to swap my drink free of charge to the matcha jasmine, which she thought would be more up my alley. I initially was skeptical because I'm not a jasmine tea person, but LET ME TELL YOU. The matcha was much more pronounced, and the jasmine helped to bring light floral notes to the drink. When I'm in California I don't normally have the time to finish my drinks because there's so many new places to try, but I actually held out on getting more new drinks because of how much I liked this one. I wish them the best on their grand opening, because their drinks and work ethic really made an impact on me! read more

No notes. This places is consistently good. Very cute pink and neutral aesthetic. Sometimes they're open earlier than 11a which is honestly preferred for me. I wish they were open earlier for breakfast time! Every time I've been service is so friendly and nice. They like what they are selling so when I ask for a recommendation and tell them what I'm in the mood for they totally nail it and you can tell they care if you like it too. I've only had the teas but they are so yum and you can customize so much. I never have good cell service (Verizon) inside or really in this shopping plaza in general just a FYI if you're planning to catch up on emails. Also parking lot can be tricky depending on the time but there is parking around the building on the backside if you can't find in the front. read more

One of the first things you notice walking in is an aesthetic that's easy on the eyes. Ambiance is great and I think they're located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Plenty of seating with free complimentary wifi as well. There are plenty of options, from teas to milks and even coffees and matchas. My partner and I ordered two drinks: strawberry matcha latte and a yuzu oat latte. Both were awesome. One of the owners was very kind and walked up to us to offer a complimentary add-on of cloud foam to our drinks that she described would add a bit of creaminess to the drink. She was definitely right and that hint of sea salt in the foam tasted amazing. Beyond the drinks being amazingly delicious, the special thing about this place feels like it really comes from the passion of its owners and the kindness of the staff. Delicious tea shops are all over OC, but I feel like it's amazing rare to find a shop where its owners and workers are so clearly passionate about their craft and giving customers the best experience with their drinks. Photos on yelp did not give me high hopes for the matcha but nonetheless we wanted to give a fair shot. We got a matcha einspanner and a strawberry matcha. Both weren't too sweet which was perfect for me. Service was okay but drinks were decent. I really loved the cream top on the matcha einspanner, I was literally demolishing it. Overall pretty okay spot, plenty of space and very cozy, just maybe a little cleanup on the area and tables would be nice but maybe we came in at a bad time. read more

Honestly, the barista is what made this place exceptional! I didn't get his name, but he was friendly and enthusiastic about making each drink. Asking if things could be improved and just our opinion on general. It's nice to know that they care about their ingredients and what seems to work or not. Especially for the Belgian Mocha, my friend said it leaned more on the chocolate side than coffee. And the barista offered extra espresso in a small cup to simply try or to add into the drink. The Flame Latte was delicious, not too sweet either as brown sugar can sometimes be overpowering, especially if there is cream on top! But it blended well with the cloud foam and you could still taste the coffee. Beautiful interior and overall a nice place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Definitely going to visit again when I'm in the area. read more

I come here often for their Matcha and for espressos. The matcha is green gold. It tastes like a combination of heaven and a Japanese dessert while they also have the best espressos! I'm so happy this place opened a few months back because there's nothing in the area like it! read more

Nice service, the interior was super classy and pretty. The fruit tea I got tasted like watered down tea and a slight orange fruit taste from the orange slice, didn't really taste the pineapple or kumquat taste. It was my first time and probably my last. read more

Been here on two different occasions to try more of the teas. Tea is so rich. I appreciate that it isn't diluted too much with sugar, milk, etc. It was all a nice balance for me. It truly is a tea enthusiast's gem! My personal favorite is the matcha einspanner. I appreciate the enthusiasm from the employees and shop owner. Love the interior, very cozy for a catch up or work session. Hoping to try more from here soon! :) read more

This is the spot in Orange County! If you're looking for a nice quaint place to sit and get work done. They have free wifi here and very comfy clean seating area. This is a spot I could see where all the housewives go to hang out and chat and gossip haha. The parking was easy too on a Monday afternoon. It's not too crazy here during the weekday so probably best to visit here during the weekday where there's no crazy line up. The drinks look 10/10 and are 10/10 I got the einspanner and it's not too sweet the perfect amount. The service top notch it was fast and friendly. Hope everyone gets a chance to meet the owner she's very lovely and gives you the best recommendation . If you don't like overly fake sweet drinks this is the spot. New place. Was expecting another sugar water with chewy boba... but was pleasantly proved wrong by the smell taste touch sensory delivery. I got this strawberry smoothie with some kind of crunchy/soft pearls (not chewy like tapioca balls), topped with coconut sea foam (photo attached). I'm sensitive to brain freeze so instead of using the straw, I removed the lid and used a spoon... !!!WOW!!! The initial light coconut foam delivered a creamy soothing aroma and feel followed by a sharp strawberry tang that cut right through . Bravo . I decided to order a second treat opposite tangy and went with the taro matcha something also with the coconut sea foam. It was so good I finished it and forgot to take a photo. Gah! I was not planning to add a new rotation of calories to my weekly routine but I think I need to be here often. Aside from that, the staff was nice. It's extra spacious... like double the size of most tea bars. There's plenty of parking and its right next door to Plums Cafe so you can't miss it. read more
