The noodles are made fresh, with large windows facing into the kitchen to let you watch them turn dough into noodles and dumplings in front of you. All items were quite reasonably priced given how generous the portion sizes are! Taiwan beef brisket noodle soup was flavorful, the chicken and mushroom noodle soup was refreshing, and the braised pork belly and string bean noodles was incredibly savory. It was our first time staying at the Sahara , and saw how they had a hand pulled noodle restaurant which I love dumplings and hand pulled noodles. It did not disappoint although the noodles were a bit greasy but still good . Would definitely go back and we for their just in time before a line started to get long. Our food came out lukewarm. Their signature noodle dish was served room-temp, noodles were half cooked. The top part of the noodles were still raw. Big parties were priorities while smaller parties don't have anybody to check on them for near 20 mins. Good thing is, their soup dumplings are good. Not the best I have ever had, but I would eat this dish again. Overall, 3/5. I didn't even take any food pictures because I was annoyed by both the food that came out cold and the subpar service. Easily the worst meal I've had in Vegas. I'm not sure where the good reviews are coming from, but maybe the other dishes are better. We went on a Saturday night during an event, so I expected it to be crowded. They told us the wait was 15 minutes and it probably ended up being 30 minutes before they texted us that our table was ready. Still not a terrible wait. We were only checked on when we put in our orders, when we got our food, and when we paid. The servers were nice and apologetic and it sounded like they were unintentionally understaffed, so I understood. We just had water to drink which was unfortunate since even their water did not taste good. We got the dumplings, spicy wonton, and mapo tofu. We also ordered a side of rice since it was not included with the entree. A bit disappointing given the price. The spicy wonton was the best dish we had. Specifically because the sauce was tasty. However, there was no spice at all and not much flavor in the wonton which was disappointing. The dumplings were forgettable and bland, but still edible. The same could not be said about the tofu. There was no actual flavor or spiciness, just the kind of spice which makes your mouth feel numb. I love tofu, but it was so unpleasant that I couldn't make myself eat any more. Overall, it seems like a typical meal on the strip. Over hyped and overpriced. read more

While staying at the Sahara Hotel tower, my wire and I decided to stay in the building and to seek out a dinner venue. We decided to give The Noodle Den. What we found were some of the best noodles I've ever had. But, not only the noodles were a hit; so were our appetizers. To start we odered the pan fried dumplings. Although they were pan fried, they were not dried out and the chicken mushroom flavor really was savory. For our main course, we ordered the Mongolian hand shredded noodles which were like getting a bowl of really hearty chow fun noodles. The beef was tender and was seasoned with a hoisin style sauce with scallions and onions. Since we really like spice, we asked for some chili oil to add to the heat. That really gave the beef a good spicy kick. As a second option, we ordered a bowl of pork belly with green beans and noodles. They had a great five flavor spice taste with plenty of pork belly in the bowl for the two of us to share. The noodles were thinner and the contrast between the two was noticeable and enticing. We enjoyed the Moscow mule cocktails we each ordered, and my old fashioned, not quite as much. I'd come back here in a heartbeat and would love to try some of their other menu items. When we notified our waitress of severe nut allergies, the manager came out to talk to us - super respectful, informative and honest about risks. Waiters were constantly refilling our waters and checking in on us during our meal. Manager even came out again mid-way through meal to check on people allergic to peanuts. So thoughtful! The restaurant is very clean and nice to the eyes. Late post we went Friday right when they opened. We ordered flat noodles with vegetables and the noodles were chewy and thick which I love! The flavor was perfect tons is yummy spices! We also tried their salt and pepper pork chops. The salt was just right and not so salty, it was crispy just the way we like it and full of flavor. I tried their duck and pork over rice, I believe the description said crispy duck but it was not. It was really tasty, overall the food was great. I would have given 5 star however, for a Chinese restaurant surprised the serving was not as much as I thought it would be for the price. But then again this is by the strip so the price is high. Authenticity stamp of approval by mom! We came by for a late dinner after hanging out on the Strip and this was convenient so we decided to stop by. This is a newish authentic Chinese restaurant serving handmade noodles, handmade dumplings, entrees, soups, BBQ, baos, rice along with beer, wine and cocktails. The dishes we ordered we authentic and tasted great! However, the portions were small and pricy. Normally at other restaurants, ordering 3 dishes for 2 people would be more than enough food. But we were still hungry after 3 dishes and $50+. Taiwan Beef Brisket Noodle Soup - this had a great flavor with tender beef, the broth was bold, and the noodles were good. Spicy Wontons - these are tiny wontons, tossed in a spicy sauce. These were great! The flavors were good. The sauce was a bit spicy for us, so we dunked them in the vinegar that came with the XLB and yum! Shanghai Xiao Long Bao - the skin of these dumplings are on point! We got the pork filled ones and they had good flavor/texture. There is a fine line on when to eat these. Make sure to give them about 8-10 minutes to cool off, otherwise, the soup is too hot! But eat them all before the skin gets too dried out. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance is nice with a casual setting. I love that it's an open kitchen and you can even sit at tables and watch your noodles/dumplings being made in front of you. I'd come back again because the food is good quality and tastes good, authentic flavors and it's a nice ambiance. Service was good. But the prices would keep me away a bit. Who knew The Sahara had it like that? The Taiwanese beef brisket noodle soup is as good as anything I've had in Taiwan itself. Crispy duck was delicious. All the other food passing by my table (dumplings, orange chicken, etc.) just looked incredible. Absolutely top dining on the strip. read more

The food was not good, so plain and when asked for recommendations nothing was given we asked for noodles like chowmein they gave us chaved noodles instead. Very disappointed on the cucumber salad, seems like it was left over night and they where soggy. The service was so slow, kept asking for stuff that was missing. Incredible. Marvelous. Immaculate. Scrumptious. Perfection. All the words I would use to describe my wife before she backed over me with a car. Being the first meal I've actually ate in a month following the criminal proceedings, I must say it was certainly a fantastic little treat. I do just wish it wasn't so expensive however, since I don't have much money left after bail. Especially for being in a shithole like the Sahara, I would have expected it to be a little bit cheaper.
