This place has an older clientele, but it's still pretty hopping & the food is good. I got the bone in ribeye and my wife got the veal parmigiana. Of the two, both were good, but the veal was really phenomenal. If you come here, I'd suggest getting it because it was really good. For dessert, we got the carrot cake and made the mistake of getting the large portion. No joke, it was a half a cake. Unless you are really, really hungry, just go with the single piece. I am sad to write this review. I have been a Palm customer for over 30 years. 837 club and all.... Every year for over 30 years I celebrate my Birthday at the Palm. We reserved a table for 7.30 outdoors last night. They call us at 7 to tell us that they cancel the reservation. It is raining and they can't accomodate us indoors. So no Birthday... Scrambling, we were able to re reserve for 9 pm indoors. We arrive at 9 and place our orders for all Lobsters and Steaks. We try to order Italian white wine. But since a menu change, none is on the Menu. At 9.30 the waiter informs us that our 5 Lobsters have been thrown out because they seemed unhealthy. At 9.45 we receive Salad and bread. At 11 I enquire about our Steaks (at this point we are really hungry and running out of patience) Manager tells me "it comes when its done" My response: "I know that. However I expected you to tell me when that would be" Manager- you suck. 11.20 Steaks arrive. No plates for 2 of our guests. (Remember that we arrived at 9pm) To balance this review: After struggling for 25 minutes, our waiter found Italian Pinot Grigio from the old Palm days and served it Management sent us a bottle of Prosecco and a slice of cheese cake as an apology Summary: We were willing to pay the money, so the Prosecco did not do its intended task. We enjoy our steaks and love a good steakhouse and this one is at the very top of my list. The steaks are always cooked perfectly, as is their veal. Their sides are nicely sized to satisfy at least 2 people. Yes, they are priced high but in this case you get what you pay for. I love their lobster Mac & cheese. Worth twice what they charge. The service is old-school steakhouse quality (think Peter Lugers in NY). Experienced, professional, mature staff who truly care about your dining experience. I can't say enough about The Palm. We've eaten there so often over the years that they graced us by putting our caricatures on the wall. We felt honored. read more

Not Miami, but Bal Harbour. South Florida's rendition of the Palm Steakhouse, the originals were on 2nd Avenue in New York. Very good steaks, chops. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Best bets are the crabmeat cocktail, porterhouse and double cut for 2. If you go to the bar to eat or drink, as for Bobby. He will take care of you the right way, as do most ex-New Yorkers like him. This was our first time here (and in Miami). We sat at the bar where it was obvious this was a restaurant where a lot of local regulars come. Got to chat with some locals which was fun! What an incredible disappointment. What should have been a very special evening out for our 10th wedding anniversary became an utter disaster. We decided to share a 22oz bone-in ribeye steak once our server told us without the bone we would be sharing 18 oz of beef. Well, we each had NO MORE than 6 oz. The manager asked us if everything was alright before the meal arrived, which took 50 minutes. After the meal I asked for the manager, who seemed very reluctant to come to our table. When he finally walked over he didn't have a damn about what I said. I then said " it's really uinfortunate because besides our wedding anniversary, I was planning to book our company Chriistmas dinner here the second week of December and make this booking with you tonight for a group of 14. He didn't even show any facial expression WHATSOEVER and walked away. I was literally in shock, being in the hospitality industry myself for 40 years. Needless to say, this establishment shall NEVER have my business again. I'm actually glad how it worked out, as everything in life happens for a reason. Our server was great but the rest of the staff was rude. We had attempted to go in the night before, but got turned away. We decided to try again the next night. Service was great. But the burnt the outside of the steak, the steak was the poterhouse, they took it back and returned with a 12oz strip, it tasted like they had heated up the steak and scrapped the burnt outside off. The food and service here do not live up to expectations. While you may get a good meal if you are lucky, you will inevitably be disappointed because for the prices they charge, everything should be top notch, but too often it is not. I have eaten here 3 times in the past year and a half, primarily for the lobster. The first time we got lobsters and sides, and it was great. The second time, they had no lobster at all due to a shipment issue. So instead we ordered a salad with grilled shrimp, and a strip steak. Unfortunately the salad was topped with cold, tiny shrimp that could have come from a can. We sent it back and they remade it with freshly grilled shrimp. The steak was okay but not worth the price. On my most recent trip there were several issues, starting with the sautéed spinach which was full of sand. We sent it back and they brought another batch, but it was still very sandy. I don't even think they attempted to wash it any more thoroughly after the first time. The waiter took it back again and took it off the bill. He told us that he never heard a complaint about sand in their spinach before. I didn't appreciate that comment as it seemed to imply that we were the ones that were wrong. Also, they were out of 3 lb lobsters (the smallest they offer), so we had to order a 4 lb. When the waiter brought it, he told us he brought us the smallest 4 pounder they had. That comment didn't really make sense, because they still charged us for a 4 lb ($99). If we are paying the 4 lb price, why would we want the smallest possible? They had stone crabs as a special, which I was told I could get as an entree portion, but I only got a single leg for $65. It seemed like I was charged an entree price for an appetizer sized portion. I wish I had asked about the portion size and price prior to ordering it. Finally, the chilean sea bass came without the corn relish stated on the menu, so the plate looked oddly empty with just a piece of fish with sauce and a slice of lemon. I'd like to think this fancy schmancy restaurant keeps it real by being hidden within Bay Harbor but it is truly a place worth knowing. Upon entering, the walls are filled with caricatures, old ads and even a batman rendering on the wall. Makes for a nice cosy atmosphere, quite homey and has somewhat of a rustic charm. Can't tell you much about prices due to the fact that it was my company's holiday party, in which they sponsored. Free dinner? Awesome, I'm there! The appetizers. Fried and greasy but tasty. Fried potato chips, fried asparagus, fried onion rings, fried calamari, fried oysters. OMG the oysters. I almost forgot about those. Okay, if you're going to get an appetizer, this is most definitely the one to get. Hands down, OMG, delicious. Yes, it even deserves an O-M-G. The Palm has been renown for its aged USDA prime steak, according to its website. However, after last night I can tell you tis not a lie. The New York steak was amazing. Granted, it was the first time I've ever had a big thick "New York" steak but was good nonetheless. Succulent, tender, tasty and wonderful. My only qualms perhaps was that as a novice steak eater, my jaw eventually hurt from all that chewing of meat and fat. Bad but oh, so good. Needless to say, I think my choice of steak is now a toss up. Big thick steaks apparently get the job done as I couldn't even finish my meal but thin steaks. Yum. If your a meat lover, you'll love it. I was a little sad at the fact that the potatoes they served was not properly proportioned but I guess it's all about the steak at that place. Word of caution: it's pretty easy to get drunk/drink a lot at this place. As soon as the waiters see that you've taken a sip, they come right around and fill you back up. It's kind of hard to keep track of how much you drink when they do that. Then again, who's complaining? Fill me up, Scotty. Overall, the service was pretty decent. Btw, did I mention that there's complimentary valet service? That's right. F-R-E-E. It reminded me of a movie where you show up, they take your car and all the waiters inside are wearing white coats and serving pepper to you with that big long fancy pepper grinder. Awesome. What a wonderful place and experience! We live in Fort Lauderdale and are reluctant to drive down to Miami, but made an exception as it was our anniversary and my 17 year old son drove us so we could start with a bottle of Tiagenello. As we had not been here before we were surprised and impressed with the feel of a New York steak house. The food was as good or better. Where can you get clams oreganato, linguine in white clam sauce, crab cakes , bone in rib eye cooked exactly as ordered, and lobster Mac and cheese all excellent and served with style and grace. The creamed spinach is to die for. Although we were stuffed we had to have a dessert of N.Y. cheesecake that was every bit as Juniors from Flatbush. We are planning a repeat visit hopefully before our next anniversary. Let me start by saying that I see all the 4 and 5 star ratings and it is possible these folks no good food but possibly there's more to it? I think Yelpers at times have saved up to go to this place and are excited to just get to this institution of a restaurant. Most know the reputation of the Palm and convince themselves it will be great, and it can be, but frequently isn't. Luck of the draw is not what makes for a good restaurant experience. Consistently good experiences "does". Went to the Palm Miami last weekend seeking a great lobster dinner. I had my taste buds working overtime on the drive there thinking about the big lobster I was going to devour. My lobster that night was pretty well prepared and somewhat better than my previous visit a few months ago. I was very disappointed in the dry flavorless stuffing, but inconsistency is the Palm's trademark for the last few years. This institution needs some attention. The big lobsters are at times great but not consistently. The sides decent, the salads not bad, the steaks pretty good but this place used to be on top! My family and I have been going to Palm restaurants for many years and Las Vegas is our favorite location. They may well be the busiest and seem to have the best chef and most caring management. The Palm Miami is just tired. Not so much the building which is traditional "Palm" and fine, but the servers, the cooks, the general attitude all are in great need of freshening. You know, many of the waiters will tell you they have been there 10 or 12 or more years but that isn't necessarily a good thing. A waiter can have 12 years experience or one years experience 12 times? A good server today must be able to look at a table and SEE what it needs. They must be intuitive! They must understand that when food is placed on a table it must be right and any issues solved immediately. You can not go to another table and help "anyone" if your letting the previous tables food get cold?Not a difficult concept to understand. Palm Miami host/managers no longer ask if everything is ok, they come by and say "enjoy your meal". This tells me that they have heard too many problems and no longer care to make things right. You can tell by the elderly regulars, that this is an old time place that has become habit more than "on top of their game". The Palm could be a star again if someone cared to make it that. All the fundamentals are there but when no one cares about execution, and management doesn't ask about the food and make right any problems, as the best restaurants certainly do in this day and age, there is only one way to go, and the Palm Miami is going. I will probably still go for my lobster fix every few months (out of habit), but I understand like the other older folks, exactly what I will be contending with and what I need to do and say to get an acceptable meal. IDEA FOR THE PALM'S NEW ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN: The Palm: We specialize in average steaks and annoyingly long service monologues. If paying too much for something makes you feel special, you'll love The Palm. The filet mignon, arriving on a large white platter (You know...the ones they sell at HomeGoods from the line named after 'The Palm') looked more like a pet rock than a juicy $49 piece of beef. The sides were tasteless. The cocktails lukewarm when they arrived at the table. This place is ridiculous and (as described by a friend at the table) felt like 'Chucky Cheese' for pretentious adults. read more

Down in Miami buying a car and figured we would stop to celebrate at Palm since we enjoyed the Orlando location. Got sat quickly in a corner with a very loud quad of people that were competing to talk. Server showed about 10 minutes after being sat which was annoying and we had to ask him if he had any specials or recommendations. Wine and drinks showed up about 10 minutes later and then our starters. We ordered the 4lb lobster special and a filet along with another side dish and figured we would share. The salads we ordered were the wedge as they call it. There was an upcharge which did not make sense but so be it. It was not really a wedge but a slice of the head. There was no real dressing. Just a spread of blue/green very strong blue cheese or something. Then came the lobster. It was split open without us asking which we did not want and we specifically asked for the lobster to be steamed and not rubbery. The lobster was rubbery and they told us it was a female so it had row and some green stuff and a fishy odor. We did not feel like sending it back and waiting longer at this point so we ate the tail and dealt with it. By this time the loud quad of people left and right at the bar were sat two annoying guys that were already drunk and even louder. Then the cursing started. I will add that we have 2 small children with us and these guys straight from NY were non stop. To top things off, the host was sitting with them which just added to the noise and made it worse to think that we were right there and he could not say anything to them. Back to the food; the steak was cooked correctly but dry and served on a cold plate and there was no sauce with it or offered and the waiter did not come back for another 15 minutes or so and by this time we had it. But it was getting late, we had a long day and did not complain. I know we could have gotten a free desert or something but it was not about that. When you spend $250.00 plus tip you expect more. As a Capital Grill wine locker holder we have come to expect a certain service, and if for some reason the kitchen fails, which does happen occasionally the server is close by and quickly fixes the issue even looking for reactions and asking us which is what the server at Palm should have done when we left most of the lobster and half the filet as well as most of the sides because they were brought cold. At this point we have crossed off Palm from our go to places and its no longer a favorite. Growing up in Miami we know there is far better and when money is not a concern for fine dining you just expect more. They had an epic fail! read more

We were so pleased with this traditional steakhouse. It's up there (if not better) than. prime 112. Everything we had was excellent.. and we are tough critiques. Lobster bisque was the best I've ever had EVER, wedge salad perfectly done and the coconut scallops were delicious. I had a perfectly medium rare New York strip (which I only ordered because it is the house special) and was pleasantly surprised at how good the beef tasted. The lobster Mac and cheese was the only dish we didn't like. But the creamed spinach is a must!!! My husband got the rib eye, also very good. We will go back to this place again. read more

CLASSIC STEAKHOUSE. Two things set this place apart from the crowd of other high-end steak places in the area: service and consistency. The front of the house team is among the most professional I've ever encountered. If you have a reservation or if you are a return customer, you will be greeted warmly by name. Bartenders and servers know their stuff- they're skilled, qualified, and confident in the quality of the product. It's amazing how that relaxed confidence triggers a de-stress reaction in the customer. You can trust them to give you a great experience. Even the runner who delivers the food thoughtfully pauses before leaving to make sure everything is just right. Why is it that in so many places their role is a frantic dump and run, vanishing before you can say a word? And when it comes to the food, you can be certain that whatever you order, it will be delicious. It's the same classic steak house fare that our parents and grandparents fell in love with- clams casino, surf and turf, iceberg salad with blue cheese and bacon, 3 cheese potatoes au gratin, cheesecake, etc... These items have stood the test of time because they are comforting and wonderful. What doesn't The Palm offer? The glitz and glam that draw so many people to our fair city. Lots of families and older couples dine here. There's no hostess/model at the front desk, no neon decor. So, if your purpose is to impress someone with your wicked cutting-edge coolness, this is probably not the place for you; but if you want a rock-solid, classic steak dinner, dive in. I was a big fan of the Merrick Park location of Palm Steakhouse and went there frequently for business. I had no idea there was an outpost in Bal Harbor and was thrilled when my buddy suggested we have a guys night out dinner there. The location is a little hidden, you definitely have to be looking for Palm to find it. The interior was a little small and not as nice as the former Gables location. Our server was pretty good which pretty much my experience at the other Palm. My only complaint would be that my Dirty Martini on the rocks was served regular. Drinks were strong and should be for the prices paid. I ordered the filet with Bernaise which was good but didn't blow my socks off. I still think the filet is better at Prime 112 and Capital Grille IMO, maybe I should have gone with a ribeye. The bacon wrapped scallops appetizer was pretty good though. Anyway when all was said and done it was about $150 per person so definitely not cheap. I would say that I had a pretty good dinner but was somewhat underwhelmed once price was considered. This location seems dated and old vs the old Merrick location and although the food was good for the price I would rather go to some other newer steakhouses. read more

This was my second time there and it was just as good if not better the second time around. 100% agree with her review of the apps. the oysters..total OMG. wow, they were good.e for the entree i shared the filet mignon which was good, not sure if it was the best i've ever had but it was good...and the sea bass stuffed with crab. now that was amazing. i'm not sure if it was the wine kicking in or not but that was some of the best sea bass i've had in awhile. pure heaven. the dessert looked amazing but at that point i dont think you could fit another bit into my mouth. Absolutely Not. A "Five Star Steakhouse" that serves UDSA Choice Grade Beef? Please. Under-trained Waitstaff who don't understand what "Service" is? No way. Overcooking a $40 Filet to shoe leather consistency? Not So Much. The Palm is one of those iconic restaurants that I would love to love. As a kid, I used to. The old-New York attitude, the caricatures on the walls, there was even sawdust on the floor in the original location. Perhaps the quality went down as time went by, or perhaps my expectations went up as I got older, but either way... It Ain't What It Used To Be. Aside from the sub-par beef and basement-level service, there's also the price. I love an a'la carte Steakhouse Experience as much as the rest of them. Plate-Sized, $9 baked potatoes. House-prepared Cottage Fries. Creamy, Garlicky Spinach. Love it all. A giant appetizer of Oysters Rockefeller. Or Escargot Bourgegonne. Drool. But with those premium prices, I expect to be treated as a premium customer. Doted on. Desires met. Hell, at least refill my water glass! Which brings us to the service. Apathetic is a kind word for it. Refills are slack. There are no "How are you enjoying your meal?" inquiries. No personality! No menu raves/suggestions, no pleasant, personable chatter, or even small talk. From my local Sports Bar, I get more personalized service. But this is in Bal Harbour. We are next to stores that sell $400 shirts and $140,000 cars. There is an iconic jewel emporium around the corner. These people know and expect elevated service. I'm sorry, Palm, but I've come to expect more. Unfortunately (for The Palm) there are more options with better quality (PRIME Grade Beef) and MUCH Better Service. Buy a Dictionary and highlight the definition of the word "Service" for your perspective waitstaff. Perhaps frame in and mount in at the Employee's Entrance. (Maybe add the words "Thank You" too.) Call your foodservice provider, and step up the quality on that beef. And really, we're still in a recession here. Maybe drop that $20 dessert price tag. read more

So you want to have a nice meal at a good steakhouse... there are a lot to choose from, they are seemingly indistinguishable, but you won't leave the Palm disappointed. Everything about The Palm can only be described as "classic." The host welcomed us by name when we walked in the door (it was an off-season Monday at 9pm... I guess there weren't many possibilities!) and took a genuine interest in making sure we were happy with our table. The filet minion was cooked to the perfect temperature, and you could tell it would be fantastic simply by sticking your fork into the meat. Cheesecake is the must-get dessert. Went here for my anniversary with my girlfriend. Extremely disappointed. We frequent many restaurants in South Florida and during Miami Spice, we like to try new venues. We reviewed the Spice menu online and decided that we would try the Veal Chop and Tuna Steak. Our server informed us that they were out of Tuna Steak. Now I understand if this is a regular menu item but it is on your Spice menu. There are only 4 choices and to run out of one of the four is unacceptable. If you do run out of one of the choices, I suggest you replace it with a regular menu item AT THE SPICE PRICE ($39). I assumed this would be the case, but shame on me for assuming that this restuarant would perform solid customer service. My girlfriend chose to go with the prime rib which was also out! As a last resort she chose the lamb chops. With our expectations already lowered severely, we moved on to the first course. I went with the caesar salad and she chose vegetable soup, both par for the course. Our entrees arrived very quickly but they could have left mine in the garbage. The veal chop was equivalent in texture to the sole of a Chuck Taylor sneaker. Overcooked and underseasoned, I left 3/4 of it on the plate. Across the table the lamb chops were AMAZING. Excellent portion sizes and a perfect blend when paired with the mint jelly. At one point the Maitre'D came over to our table to check in and pointed out my veal chop. His words were "I see you didn't like the veal, it's not really a surprise, it's a very tough cut of meat. Everyone has said the same thing." REMOVE IT FROM THE SPICE MENU!!!!!!!! For dessert we went with the chocolate cake and cheesecake. Just a tip, go with the cheesecake. Chocolate cake was too rich even for a chocolate lover. The only reason I am giving this place two stars was the lamb chops. It makes me think that these restaurants participate in Spice to get rid of items and drive some business in the slow season. For a person that enjoys Michelin star restaurants and fine dining, I think this restaurant is over priced for the quality of food they produce. The service has also been lackluster in every visit to the point that I keep getting the wrong food delivered or no one shows up for 15min. Miami needs more quality restaurant options. read more

The Palm was my late father's favorite restaurant. He used to look forward to going there for their steak and hash brown potatoes. Any time there was a family celebration he wanted to go to The Palm. I look forward to going there also. Not for their steaks, but for their salad, with the best blue cheese dressing I've ever eaten. I can easily fill up on their delicious bread basket, salad, wild mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Their desserts are delicious. I have always loved the palm. It has been my favorite restaurant since I can remember. I haven't been in about 3 years so when I came back to Miami I made sure to stop by and boy do I regret it. This was the worst dining experience I've ever had here. Starting with the bread. It was all stale. Every single piece. When we explained that it was all stale the lady didn't even understand English and then just brought us a bread breakfast full of brown bread. We then ordered the tuna poke which had raisins, cashews, tuna and olives? Seemed like they had a bunch of random stuff in the kitchen and needed to complete a dish. Terrible combination of random stuff along with some extra stale crackers. By the time the steak came, it was cold. It wasn't cooked medium as asked for but it had been such a bad dinner already we didn't want to wait for it to be cooked again and brought back out so we proceeded to eat our well done steak. The icing on the cake was the carrot cake. If I'm being honest this is 100% the real reason why the Palm has always been my favorite. BUT, the one thing i thought they couldn't mess up because they don't make it in house, is the carrot cake. They managed to apparently start buying it elsewhere and it absolutely doesn't compare to how the cake used to be. It was mediocre at best. Eating at this restaurant is an absolute pleasure. From the moment you walk in the door you're warmly greeted. You can tell this place has ironed out the kinks of the decades it's been open. Gigi salad "west coast" style with shrimp and avocado very fresh and delicious. If you want to go dirty get the half and half fries and fried onions. Lobster is one of the best in town if not best. Recommend sharing a big one or doing surf and turf. Server was a bubble of joy trained to perfection. Can't go wrong at the palm just go! And come hungry :) read more

We came as a party of 8pm on a Friday evening and found this place comfortably full. We had a nice circle table in the back of the restaurant which reminded me of the NYC locations. The wait staff was friendly off the bat and accommodating as we had asked them to adjust the AC to make it more comfortable for us. Getting to the food, we started with some massive crab legs that were excellent. They were served very simple but were fresh. We also got some crab cakes that came with some mango pieces that added a nice sweetness to the dish. Our bacon wrapped scallops were cooked very well as they were still nice and tender, but the bacon always is a good element of texture and healthy fat of course. For our mains, we did a couple of porterhouse cuts, one medium and one medium rare. Both were excellent and accompanied with creamed spinach that was good, potatoes two ways that was a bit greasy for me that I didn't enjoy as much and fried asparagus that was very good. Overall, this was a good meal when it came to the food. For what a typical steakhouse is, this checked everything off the list. Good food, lively atmosphere and pricey checks. Let me start by saying that when I enter one of the country's premier steakhouses, I expect a premier experience. I don't expect what I got ... the following: 1. blue cheese olives in my martini that tasted like they came from a jar, and yes ... you can tell the difference 2. bread that felt like it had literally just left the freezer 3. BLAND and overcooked calamari 4. a steak that quite frankly does not even compare to those from The Palm's obvious rivals, not even to those at places you would never think would have better steak but actually do 5. a server who, although nice, didn't seem like she appreciated that we had the nerve to expect more. I am not impossible to please, by any means. I understand places have their off nights, and sometimes ONE thing might go wrong even when their A game is on, but a place that charges this much money and has the reputation it has, has no room for so many errors in one night. If you eat steak this is the place to be, even the street it's on smells like an amazing steak house. (Operating since 1926) The moment you step in you will see caricatures of the local frequent diners, it has a rustic 1920's look with heart, you can tell everyone from the staff to the locals cherish this place. I ordered the grilled salmon and shared Brussel sprouts and potato hash with a friend. My friend ordered a new New York strip which was grilled perfectly and topped with lump crab, hollandaise and asparagus. I don't typically eat red meat but here I indulged in a few bites. Hands down best steak house in Miami. Had coffee and key lime pie to finish. Only disappoint was the bread basket was ice cold and Brussel sprouts could have been less soggy and more crisp. Do take someone you love here and expect to pay $$$$--but it's worth it. read more

If you're looking for an old, classic steakhouse, with beautiful decor, great service and just across the water from Bal Harbour, the Palm is for you. After a long day of shopping we came down to the palm and were welcomed into a very beautiful and warm setting. We ordered drinks and took a look at the menu. I ordered the seared ahi tuna to start and the 14 ounce filet mignon (rare), my friend ordered the Monday salad and the 9 punch filet mignon (butterflied and cooked medium well). The apps came rarely quickly and looked great. My tuna was served with 6 pieces of grade A sashimi quality red tuna and seaweed salad in the middle. My friends Monday salad looked delicious as well and tasted just as good. The steaks came and I must say my filet mignon did not look as good as I thought it would, but never judge a book by its cover! It was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly! My friends filet was cooked to his preference as well and he seemed to enjoy it as well! We ordered the flourless chocolate cake for desert but were a little unimpressed when a piece smaller then the bread server at the beginning was presented for $11. Some other details about the restaurant that bothered me was act of disappearance our waiter played on us many times throughout the night, the messy bathroom when I entered to wash my hands and the two employees at valet who chatted for 10 minutes after I handed them my ticket because their conversation must have been more important then me getting my car. The palm restaurant is very good place to go in miami ( bal harbor) but not a must as many people say! If you like lobster they have a very nice lobster cooked in a very nice way. I ordered filet mignon and had extra surf and turf which comes with the lobster. The filet mignon is not their signature I guess I dont see it very WOW. its normal mignon. the appetizer I ordered the three gulf shrimp with mustard sauce. I dont recommend that at all because the shrimp is fried and in the same time is not crunchy and its wet. thats why I took a star away also. The service is very good didn't had any problem. But It;s little bit pricey. We were two people and for ( one salad, one hot appt, 2 main dishes, one dessert + one coffee ) = 300$ without tip .. so expect a 150$ for a person. I think it will be worth it if the steak was nicer and the appt was better as well! I would recommend this place and order their bone-in steak and don't miss the LOBSTER! For a family dinner party of 8, we went to The Palm Restaurant on a Saturday night. I started at the bar with a Palm Beer from Belgium (new). They serve you a basket of bread (Onion Rolls, French Bread) and you need to make sure you don't fill up on it. I had a Cesar Salad (okay) but my Father-in-law had the Wedge with Bacon and a side of very thick Blue Cheese (looked good). They had a Special Dinner for 2, 4lb Lobster with 2 sides, but I decided on the Veal Parm (it was good, a very large portion, not too thick). Most of our party had the Prime Rib (very large slabs). The 4lb Lobster looked very good and they will break it apart for you. For sides we shared: Hash Browns (very good), Creamed Spinach, Spinach with Garlic, Steak Fries (under cooked) and Mushrooms (too bland). The sides were generally okay, not great. They give you a very large tray of desserts to select from. Most of our party had the Key Lime Pie. I took a few bites of the Chocolate Cake (looked it was okay). Overall, very large portions of food. On a Saturday night for a 7pm reservation, it was generally a Senior Restaurant and very, very crowded. There is valet parking but you cal also park in the very back at the free Parking Meters (after 6 pm). read more

Lovely place to go for a celebration dinner. The Palm is cozy and the food is good. Family style side dishes- the spinach and hash browns are the best. Didn't like how they cook the lobster but the steaks are always DELICIOUS. Also they fly the cheesecake in from NY weekly- you should definitely get dessert! read more

I took my gf here for our third date. I had been here once before, but this time was extra special since i made reservations to be seated in a quiet corner so it would be more romantic and we had the chance to talk. The waited was great! He even complemented on what a happy couple we were and wished us many more years together. This was amazing to me :) We ordered the Prime NY Steak and stuffed Shrimp with a side of mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms. The meat was exquisite! The shrimp were stuffed with some type of cheese and crab meat it was simply to die for. We did not finish dinner since we wanted to leave room for dessert. We chose to get the key lime pie instead of the carrot cake which ive had in the past and it is HUGE! Seven layers of delicious moist cake. But back to the key lime pie it was very good but we both agreed that it could of been better. This was the first time i had a bloody mary and it was great! My partner had a sweet and sassy and she LOVED IT!!! This restaurant also has a rewards club and on your birthday if you have 500 points you get the amazingly large lobster dinner! read more

We went on a Saturday night and they were packed. We had reservations and they took us immediately at 7:00. Did not have to wait! There were 4 of us and we all ordered different entrees and shared creamed spinach and onion straws. Steaks were amazing and cooked exactly how we asked. One of us ordered chicken parmigiana and she said it was wonderful. We were too full to eat dessert. The Bal Harbour restaurant was as good as any restaurant in Las Vegas, New York, or L. A. read more
