Finally, I was able to try the pan! It's always busy and people outside so I don't even bother to wait lol but I came for my birthday and I enjoyed the food . So many options to choose from and I will come back again . The inside reminds me of the burger joints you see on tv . The staff was friendly and the place was clean.
I recently came down to Long Beach to visit a friend, and we decided to have brunch at The Pan. The restaurant has a really cute, classic diner feel inside, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. There was about a 30 minute wait since they don't take reservations, but it was definitely worth it. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, and no one had any issues with their food. I ordered the stuffed French toast, and it was absolutely amazing...easily one of the best brunch items I've had in a long time. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area. 10/10 recommend!
This place literally has it all! Great service, food, cleanliness, stiff drinks and bingo. We are definitely coming back.
Ambiance: Very colorful, designed like a mom & pop breakfast spot. Service: I was disappointed with the service provided, our waitress was nice but she failed to come check on our party. We literally had to get up to find her. In addition, she let our plates pile up and forgot items that we ordered. Food: All pancakes were dry and hard to cut. Omelette was not seasoned, however the orange juice was freshly squeezed, and the fried battered chicken was delicious! I may give The Pan another try.
The vibes in here are so cute. I really enjoyed the Beach aesthetics and they even had bingo so we got to play as we were finishing our meal it was so fun. The customer service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. The food was so delicious. The chilaquiles were soooo good. I was very impressed. The French toast was alright, not sure I would get it again. We also got pizza to go and the sauce was saucing. Definitely recommend this place!
I give this place a 10/10, and here's why. The Pan is officially one of my new favorite local breakfast spots. I've been looking for a good American-style breakfast place with a Southern touch, and this place absolutely delivered. First off, parking is easy because they have their own lot, already a win in Long Beach. The inside has a modern rustic diner vibe that feels cozy, clean, spacious, and welcoming without feeling overcrowded. I went on a Saturday morning around 9:30 AM, and although it was busy, the wait wasn't bad at all. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the vanilla latte and the shrimp and grits, and let me just say... the shrimp and grits were . Creamy, cheesy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and the portion size was generous enough for leftovers. Definitely some of the best shrimp and grits I've had locally. My cousin ordered the Lumberjack Special which comes with pancakes, sausage, eggs n potatoes but he upgraded his pancakes to one of the specialty pancakes; chocolate chip pancakes, which was an available option for a small upcharge. Overall, great food, great vibe, reasonable prices, and family-friendly. I'll definitely be back, this might become my regular breakfast spot.
It was a busy Saturday morning and it was packed but the wait was about 30 mins. This place is huge and busy but service was excellent with fast turnovers. Me and my wife ordered the short rib benedict which was delicious, the chilaquiles was just as good and their cinnamon roll pancakes was too sweet for our taste. I will definitely try other food items in their menu.
Located on Del Amo Blvd and Long Beach Blvd, this location is quite popular and was crowded when I visited - Wednesday mid-morning. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant that unfortunately was full which required us to wait 5 or so mins for someone to leave. Our party of 3 had a 30min wait for a table so we opted to sit at the counter. We were greeted right away with menus from our server. She took our drink and food order right away and our items were actually delivered in a timely manner. We chose The Lumberjack ($20) which comes with two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs any style, two bacon strips, two sausages, and house potatoes. You do have the option to upgrade to a specialty pancake or waffle for an additional $2. Portions are generous and everything was cooked perfectly, including the over-easy eggs. We opted for hash browns instead of house potatoes. Hash browns were crispy and what I really appreciated was the bacon was cooked thoroughly - no fatty pieces like how a lot of other places serve. The PANCAKES, oh my goodness! They are SO. FRICKEN. DELICIOUS. They were fluffy, buttery, and just the right amount of sweetness - these are a must try! Two pancakes and a scoop of butter - my absolute favorite item of the whole meal. We also chose the "Original" Loaded Hash Browns ($18) which is two eggs any style served on top of hash browns, bacon, sausage, and sprinkled with jack and cheddar cheese and topped with sour cream, green onions, and thennnnn, drizzled with chili aioli. Greasy, meaty, goodness! It is a lot of food for the price so make sure to come hungry. Overall, this place is quite popular as I remember like 8 or so years ago they only had like one location in Gardena and now we're up to 5! Service wasn't great at the end. We never were checked on by our initial server who took our order after the food was delivered and we waited 10 or so mins once we were done eating to get a to-go box and our check. I had to get up and approach the service area to finally close out my bill. I do know that every place in every type of industry (food, hospitality, hospitals, etc.) are understaffed but what I didn't like was there were other staff members standing around. IMO, they could circulate and fill in gaps with service - such as, clearing tables, refilling beverages, asking if tables needed anything - things to help out the servers! Delicious food options but don't visit if you're in a rush!
The wait here was quite long even on a weekday afternoon. The party in front of us actually spoke to the manager because the hostess was quite rude and dismissive to him regarding the wait and any information about that. Once I got sat and actually ate, it was your standard kitschy brunch spot. What I got: Pastrami Fries, Biscuits and Gravy, Loaded Hashbrowns. Everything was fine. Again, it looks and tastes like every other brunch spot in California. I don;t really like breakfast/brunch food like that, but it really was just fine. I'm assuming that you could get similar levels of food for less of a wait at other places, so I would probably just recommend your favorite local diner. This was good if you have a bit of time to kill with your party. Nothing special though.

Did an online order for pickup on a Sunday. It was packed inside. They sent me a text saying it was now ready. That was much earlier than expected. Was expecting everything to be all good. Food was much better this time... But they forgot an order, so we had to come back. They actually forgot to make the pizza in the first place. Will I be back? No. Would I recommend? The food is good, not great, so probably not.
Came here for breakfast. Service was fast after we were seated. Great selection of items. Sever was great. The restaurant has a great cafe vibe. I will definitely be back here

Thursday brunch was perfect!!! Parking was super easy with multiple vacancies. Walked in, greeted by the host and was seated right away. Our waitress Nicolette did an amazing job with her recommendations. Ambiance was comfortable and cool on a hot day. Everything we ate was pretty tasty. Our ultimate favorite was the extra crispy loaded hash browns with egg whites. Can't wait to come back again. read more

I've been to The Pan twice so far, and both times I really enjoyed the food. I've tried their deep dish pizza -- it's not the best I've ever had, but it's definitely good enough to satisfy a deep dish craving. Their pancakes are actually amazing, and the potatoes are just as impressive. I don't go often, but whenever I'm in the mood for the kind of comfort food they serve, The Pan is a place I'd gladly return to. read more

My first experience and wow I'll be back Everything was top notch, service was friendly and attentive, the whole place was really clean, and the food was excellent This location has a dinner menu that I should've taken a photo of, I got the braised short rib with mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, and mac and cheese. This made the entire experience worth it alone, the meat was so tender and easy to chew, the mashed potatoes are so buttery they are probably the best mashed potatoes I've ever had in my life and the way they mix with the sauce and the meat and the glaze from the carrots which were also amazing. The mac and cheese was so hot by the time I finished the meal I still couldn't taste it so I brought it home and it was delicious as a leftover snack. I got 2 mocktails the blueberry spritzer and the pinky winky ( mint strawberry lemonade ) both were $8 and worth it so refreshing. I got the strawberry short cake to go and it was the perfect ending to a literal perfect experience that only happened by such a small chance that it was meant to be, I will be back I love this place 10/10 I will give yelp access to my photos just so I can show you guys what I was working with read more

Parking is small and this place is so good parking is always pretty packed but when you try this place you will be like I expect this because the food is so amazing Service is fast and quick they are very clean on the weekends it's more packed than usual but it's understandable when you try there food. Service was great! Waitress was attentive and had great recommendations as first timers at the new location. Food was great as well. The chicken breast fillet was juicy and well seasoned I couldn't believe it. The blackberry butter and syrup was tasty on top of the waffle. I came in today for breakfast got the lumberjack special. It comes with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash, brown, and pancakes. I asked for scrambled eggs my eggs was runny potatoes and bacon and sausage was cold and then my pancakes didn't come out until four or five minutes later. read more

This is actually a 3 and a half stars. We came here for breakfast on a Saturday and we expected to wait because we've seen this place with people standing around n the front. We waited for 45 minutes after we were seated it took another 7 minutes to take our order; after 10 minutes, our food quickly arrived. food was decent, nothing over the top, as well as the service. I really like how nice the staff were here! They even accommodated to my small adjustment on my meal and added fruit on top for me! I would say that the food isn't like super outstanding or to die for. But I do think that it's good. The coffee and lattes are terrible though. But the prices in total for my friends and I meal weren't terrible. I do think if you're in the area or live near by it's a nice brunch spot to try with friends. But it isn't something I'd recommend going out of your way to try to be honest as the food here is good but it isn't great. read more

Good is great. I ordered the shrimp and grits, calzone, kids cheese toast and lumberjack breakfast. Service was pretty bad, but the food makes up for it. My dad's food was cold, by the time the server came with his food I had ate some of the grits but honestly they weren't grits to me not sure what I ate. The grits look better than what it tastes like. They play nice music and it's kid friendly. read more

You have to try their pumpkin pancakes - truly nothing like I've ever had before. They're fluffy, flavorful, and honestly unforgettable. I would come back just for those alone! The service is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. The atmosphere is such a vibe -- cozy, lively, and the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. They stay busy, and it absolutely makes sense... the food and the energy are just that good! Everything from the presentation to the flavors feels thoughtful. I've dined at The Pan several times, but this was my first visit to their new location. The expanded space creates a welcoming and stylish atmosphere, and the service--from the hostess to the servers--was consistently excellent. I ordered the Chiquis Cuban Feast Sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. I opted to upgrade my fries to carne asada fries, though they didn't quite meet my expectations--not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. Bookie had the waffle with whipped cream and fresh fruit, and it was truly outstanding--light, fluffy, and perfectly complemented by the toppings. The chicken breast, however, was underwhelming, possibly overcooked or not the freshest. One standout item, not pictured, was the mozzarella sticks. The unique breading gave them an incredible flavor--definitely a must-try! While the prices are on the higher side for the menu offerings, the experience is well worth it. read more

Wednesday 5 pm I called to pick up dinner for my family. It took a while to get someone however the young lady who answered the phone was very nice taking my order. She repeated the order and even sent me confirmation and notifications when it was ready. The cast iron turkey burger was really good and filling. All right, let's double across this place a month ago and I have been back a second time today. After perusing the menu, I was excited at least a dozen times. I wanted to try everything I saw in front of me. I opted for Zola's crabcake Benedict, which was amazing. My second time around I opted for the short rib Benedict, which was incredible both times I had a side of biscuits and gravy. This food is comfort food through and through!!! I finally got to go and it exceeded my expectations. I got their chicken croissant sandwich and it was absolutely amazing. The chicken was breaded and so soft. Portions are good. Their pumpkin pancake is also amazing. It is very busy in the morning but I have gone during lunch and dinner times and there was no long wait. The restaurant is clean and the staff is nice and attentive. Definitely one of my new favorite restaurants on my list ! read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try this spot since it's close to home, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was flavorful, served hot, and the portions felt worth the price. Our server was attentive and kind, which made the experience even better. For two people, the total came out to just under $50. Overall, as first-time customers, we left very satisfied and will definitely be back. The only reason I'm not giving five stars just yet is because this was our first visit. I'd like to come back again to see if the experience is just as good the next time around. read more
