Starting with the food, I think everything at The Parlor is absolutely delicious. The olives are served warm with a hint of orange zest and oil, so good. I usually get the vegan pizza that has a homemade ricotta and I always get an extra side of the ricotta because it is to die for. My partner usually sticks to The Funghi pizza which is covered in mushrooms. This place has come a long way with vegan options compared to the first time I came and it's now one of my favorite restaurants. I love the ambiance, the friendly staff, the bar area, and the food. This is a go to date night spot for me. It's not too fancy to where you need to dress up but it does feel a little more trendy and upscale than just a regular pizza place. read more

We hosted our our book club at The Parlor and it was a nice experience. I thought the ambiance was really welcoming and gave a fancy but approachable feel. You could come here for a variety of events. There were plenty of of tables and bar seating too. We all really enjoyed our food and I thought the pizza was a great brick oven! Wow this place was excellent! We went on a Friday night and found a seat at the bar right away. The bartender was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. This pizza was fantastic. Perfect crust that wasn't too thin or soggy given the amount of toppings. The Florentine pizza was delicious- we added sausage. The Collin's cocktail was also very good. My first time trying this place and it vaulted to #3 pizza place in Phoenix for me. I just need mor opportunities to try it to see if it out ranks Il Basco and Pomo for best pizza downtown. We got the cauliflower gratinata and tomato & melon salad as an appetizer. The cauliflower was so rich and savory without being mushy at all. I loved it. The salad was refreshing and a welcome respite from the summer temperatures and baked foods. I loved the mix of textures and flavors. We also tried the summer corn pizza and chicken ravioli. I thought both were amazingly delicious but my partner felt the pizza was a little too spicy for her. Lastly we got the banana trifle and it was like a banana crème pie in a cup. I loved The Parlor! Named for a former beauty salon that once stood in its place, The Parlor offered delicious pizza, pasta and dessert. Every slice and noodle was delicious, our whole table was stuffed! They offered indoor/outdoor seating and we didn't wait long, got drinks from the bar. The parlor, has a pizza my heart.... From the atmosphere to the menu, it's all truly wonderful! I've had the chance to come here on multiple occasions, always lunch, but always delicious. Though they are consistently busy. I haven't had an issue getting seated with groups of 2-4, as they don't take reservations, at least for lunch. I've dabbled a bit all over the menu, but still have a lot to try. This particular time, I built my own pizza (yelp foul-I was so excited I ate it before snapping a shot). Though they have a great menu offering of speciality pizzas, I want ALL the toppings. They have a customizable sheet where you can decide: size, meats, cheeses, veggies and everything else you'd like. It's really a generous size, I opted for small and enough to share, depending on your hunger level. I always get the beet salad, it comes with goat cheese, avocado, fennel, arugula and pickled onions- chefs kiss*. It's so tasty I don't usually want to veer elsewhere, but many one day! I have tried some of their pasta, it was divine, but between their daily specials and menu offerings, there is plenty to choose from and you really can't go wrong. On this particular occasion, we enjoyed some cocktails to start - pictured the Collins and Holy Water. Both delicious! Three of us ordered individual pizzas and the fourth person ordered the kale sweet potato salad. I built my own 9 inch pizza. There was a good variety of toppings, proteins and cheeses to choose from. I had a mushroom, heirloom tomato, olives, and spinach pizza - light on the tomato sauce and cheese. The crust was the perfect Napoleon crust that I love. Crispy with air bubbles just like I had in Italy. I ate the whole thing...so good! Saw the parlor on the top 100 yelp pizza list, and it definitely belongs there. The ambiance is upscale but relaxed. It's a very welcoming atmosphere and spacious. Today they had a rare treat in the beer world. I lived in Reno before moving here. They had a great beer from Revision that is a collaboration with Shoe Tree out of Carson City. Disco Ninja a great hazy IPA. If you get a chance try it!! Dinner - I had the nightly pizza special. Hot Soppressata, it was calling my name, garlic, mozzarella, oregano and the shocker Giardiniera. Do not tell they spelt it wrong on the board. I have not seen on a pizza since I was in Chicago. I did eat bunch of carrots before I really started on the pizza. They probabyl could have used shredded carrots instead of diced. The juices from that and Soppressata were amazing together. Winner Winner!! I came here twice within two weeks. I'm from Ohio but live in DC where the pizza selection sucks. This pizza reminded me of my vacation in Naples, Italy. The goat cheese was an added balance to the vinegar and beets. The sangrias are house made, a bit sweet, both smooth, no bitterness.
