Attentive service- 3 different individuals stopped by our table to ask if all was good. We sat on their lovely patio in nice weather and they fired up a heater as it cooled down. Food was quite good and cost was in the range for a good restaurant. Tip: free parking is available in the state building lot across the street after 5 pm. read more

Booked outdoor seating for 12 people three months prior to reservation. I literally went in and booked this reservation, as we had 5 couples coming in for Wine & Chile. We got to the restaurant and the hostess tells me she is seating us inside. I politely told her, no, that is not accurate and explained when i booked this and it was for outdoor. She then apoliguzed and continues to tell me there is a wine tasting group there and she cannot, therefore she needed to seat us inside. I told her I was very upset and frustrated and she just continued to patronize me. All 12 of my guests from out of town were stuck in this corner of the restaurant. The service was poor, they couldn't even keep up with filling water glasses. No apology for this hiccup in seating inside, which should have been outside. I will NEVER go back. If i knew this prior, I would have cancelled the reservation. Very poorly managed and food is not worth this type of treatment when it is supposed to be hire end. read more

Although the soup had good flavor, she was disappointed at the lack of cheese running over the sides. The churros were delicious. Disliked: the shrimp huarache was very mediocre with one large shrimp and four small to medium shrimp and almost no flavor at all. A huge disappointment at $26. One of the assistant waiters whisked away our churros and the accompanying sauces before we were finished. Never asked us if we were done. The atmosphere was pleasant enough. There is a huge patio outdoors with live music. We were somewhat tempted to sit there, but there were two large tables of more than 20 people. We weren't sure if this was some type of wedding party or family reunion, but we opted to eat inside. I loved so much about our experience, but I have an itch about my meal that won't stop bothering me. In short, I ordered a chile relleno that... was stuffed with vegetables instead of cheese. Chile relleno is supposed to be stuffed with cheese! I was so disappointed. And I double checked the menu-- it does not specify no cheese. If I recall correctly, it says something like "three amigas," which I wrongly assumed was cheese. Anyway, the service was wonderful and our waitress was really attentive. They were cooked perfectly with two sauces. Not a hot one in the many I ate. The Caesar dressing has a light flavor of white anchovies, dressed perfectly with a slightly charred romaine rib that was a flavorful addition to the chopped lettuce. The double burger my sweetie ordered came deconstructed in a brioche bun. Medium doneness is the way to go for this burger. He said it was delish. After reading about the iconic apple pie on the dining room menu we had to try it. Arriving on a bubbling hot skillet the pie is topped with a Big scoop of vanilla ice cream. The combination of flavors, apple, raisins, nuts, rum are a party in your mouth. Defiantly worth saving room for. I ordered the shishitos locos - excellent - big bowl of charred shishito peppers and two dipping sauces. Lots of food for a starter. Their rendition of shrimp and grits missed the mark - the shrimp were well seasoned, the chorizo was not spicy, but the grits were not grits you find in Mississippi. It was overall not spicy but kinda bland. My husband ordered the steak which was charred with no seasoning - not good. The Madre Corn Bisque was a hit and so was the sweet cornbread made with blue corn and pinion nuts. The presentations were elegant. Ruby, our server for a party of 26 was SUPER and very professional. We had a marvelous dinner at the Pink Adobe. We were seated in the courtyard, which has a lovely ambiance. Our server, Roxana, was efficient and attentive and gave great menu recommendations. The only thing affecting the ambiance was a rather loud buzzing noise, likely an air conditioner or some sort of refrigeration unit. Piping in a bit of music might help cover that. The food was sensational. The seafood enchiladas, smothered in a green chili lobster bisque were heavenly. The French onion soup was delightful with a touch of sweetness. The chili tasted pickled, or a bit sour. It was a strange combination of flavors that clashed. And it was swamped by the beans, posole, and rice. Just had dinner here. Food was superb. Service by support staff excellent. Service by our waiter not so great. He spent his time solely on a table of 5 in the room we were in. There were 3 tables occupied in our dining room. The other table was neglected as well. We had to chase him down to order drinks, dinner,etc. Really strange. The Pink Adobe lives! Confirmed sighting of the Dragon Room monkey, very attentive staff and excellent food. Our waiter looked just like David P. on CBS Sunday Morning (yes, I know, very random). I was worried when it was taken over by the Inn of the Five Graces and that everything would change but old faithful staples are on the menu, and the decor/upgrades are on trend with the ownership which is an excellent hotel (only used the day spa but property is cool). My favorite French onion soup remains unchanged. Hopefully the Dragon Room will be open the next time I am in town. read more

I visited this extremely romantic restaurant in 2021 while on a girls trip--and I remembered the courtyard, fountains, string lights, trees, mosaics, and food combining to create the perfect aesthetic and peaceful dining spot. Super convenient! Unfortunately, I started to feel poorly while getting ready for dinner--my stomach has been unpredictable in the last month due to wedding stress. We decided to give it a shot anyway, as I'd been so looking forward to coming. So, I took some medicine and we headed over. It was a Sunday night, but the dining rooms were still bustling and filled with golden light. We opted for the patio--which is normally so full, but I suppose folks wanted to be inside on a chilly night. We are from Texas, so we welcome the chill! And the staff immediately turned on a lovely heater for us next to our table and offered to bring me a blanket if I was cold. Amanda came to take our order and when I explained my tumultuous stomach, she not only gave recommendations for light options on the menu--she and the rest of the staff went above and beyond for us to make sure I could enjoy this first dinner on our honeymoon. They brought me ginger ale and the Gypsy stew (with chicken) was so soothing, flavorful, and just plain delicious. My husband ordered the Shrimp Lousianne and loved it! Amanda and the others were attentive and checked on us frequently, eager to make our dinner more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I was only able to savor a few bites before I told my husband I needed to go home to rest. Amanda packed all the food for us with the check and even brewed me a hot chamomile tea to sip before we left. I just can't thank them enough for being so sweet and accommodating. I've been to so many amazing, colorful, attentive restaurants in Santa Fe but this little gem is the best. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. You can feel the history of the house - it's amazing. Our server, Sean, was knowledgeable and passionate about the food and the establishment. He took wonderful care of us - total pro! The food? Traditional Mexican, American w Southern influences.... The menu was printed on a simple piece of paper - no fussy foo foo here. I had a half chicken stuffed w shrimp- it was divine. Perfectly prepared. My friend got spicy clams that were fabulous! Last time I was at the Pink Adobe was over 20 years ago. Thankfully, some things never change. The three of us ordered variations of the same entree...Steak Dunigan. My husband asked for no mushrooms. Sister-in-law from Austin omitted all the toppings. I kept it as offered! All the elements are necessary (in my opinion) to understand why it's been a favorite for over 50-years. The restaurant is like the city, charming, inviting and eclectic. The room we dined in was over 400 years old! The staff is lovely and accommodating to picky eaters. I'm anxious to work my way down the menu! read more

Melvin was super welcoming and accommodating in the Dragon room bar and then we thoroughly enjoyed having Rubia as our server! . Oh my god the best drinks and eats that we have had in a city that we have visited many times over the years. Hats off to Jesus and hector They made new drinks. After my wife cut her lip on a broken drink glass the manager seemed to think that using the napkins to stop her flow of blood, would be a sufficient response. We ordered to drink: Pink Dragon 4/5 (not enough prickly pear, definitely pretty though) Mezcal Mule 5/5 (super smooth and came in mule mug) Gin & Tonic with Elderflower 5/5 For food we had: They start you off with delicious blue corn cornbread and another type of bread with butter. Trio & chips (guacamole, green chile queso and salsa): 5/5 super good guacamole and queso! Petite Steak Dunigan with cheese enchilada, pinto beans and rice (green Chile) 5/5 super good! The enchilada and beans & rice were very good. Steak Dunigan meal with browned potato and vegetables 4/5 Steak and browned potato (crispy with butter) were very good but the vegetables could be better. Both meals were shared and shareable for regular appetites. Wait staff: 3/5 Hostess was very friendly. Waitress was efficient and polite enough but not very friendly and a tad blunt. The Dragon Room Bar was open with social distancing. The outside seating was open at the Pink Adobe restaurant but the indoor seating was not. Reservations are recommended, we had reservations and were seated immediately. Please note that it is illegal in New Mexico for you to bring alcohol to a restaurant and therefore they cannot do a corkage fee/open your wine. read more

Disappointing. I have been going here since I was a child for over 30 years. The portion sizes keep getting smaller and smaller for the same price. We were charged $4 for some extra chips for our queso. We were seated in a space that was a part of the Five Graces which does not have the same ambiance as the original Pink space and it was freezing! Even the wait staff was wearing winter coats inside. This was my first time dinning with pink adobe and I have to say I had higher hopes for this place.. We were trying to celebrate an anniversary and I can tell you it wasn't very rememberable. The ambiance and romance was taken away with the fact that it was so crowded with tables. We orders the lamb and the steak both medium.
