This place was AMAZING. While they are not a vegan restaurant, they have soooo many vegan options and they make their vegan cheese, sauces, and vegan meats in house. You can tell, the taste is phenomenal! I got the chicken little with no pineapple vegan deep dish pizza and it was incredible. I could only eat half! We also tried their vegan Mac and cheese....no lie...best Mac and cheese of my life! Even your non vegan friends would love it. For apps I got the vegan pretzel bites with vegan cheese fondue, and the fried artichoke hearts with their vegan ranch. Loved them both! To top it all of the service was above and beyond. I visited this place with my son a few years back and have thought about it ever since. We got calzones, pizzas, fudge (Oh my GOD!) the fudge! As a man with a dairy allergy I cannot find any good NY style pizza joints anywhere. If this place was on the east coast I would be there every week. I was lucky enough to meet the owner who sat down and talked to us for a while both nights we went and he was such an awesome dude, he gave us a few pieces of fudge for the road. Awful, if I could give 0 stars I would. First of all, my daughter called to see if they have gluten free options because she has celiac, and the guy who answered the phone said he was too busy to answer her question. We go and are told there's a 30+ min wait for pizza, so we ask what the fastest turnaround food is because we have a show to catch at 8 (it was 7). We end up ordering fried zucchini and French fries because we were told that only takes minutes. We got our order an hour later. Late for our show and the large order of fried zucchini had SIX slices and was greasy & disgusting and the fries were comparable to something you'd get at a fair. Horrible experience, will never go back. They were understaffed and actually complaining to people in line while we were ordering. read more

What a disappointment for such a cute location. The patio was cute with good shade, but the food was horrible. The wait service staff was very nice, but not very with it. No dressing was brought with our salad, but they promptly returned a second time with our request. We don't expect too much when we order slices, since they aren't always fresh. However we didn't want a whole pizza since we were passing through. We were brought cheese when we ordered pepperoni. It was taken back and "topped" with pepperonis ... literally pepperoni was just put on the top of the pizza and given back to us. I don't know if this is their normal way to pepperoni their pizza, but it was also soggy. Update: Thank you to the owner for reaching out privately ... we will be back next time we are in the area to try some more pizza and have a beer. A dreadful place - avoid at all costs. Kudos for a wide vegan selection. But the service was atrocious (you must pay in advance and I gave a 20% tip, but nobody could even be bothered to bring us plates, cutlery, or sauces that were supposed to come with our meal). The music was insanely loud, the loudest I have ever heard in a place that claims to be a restaurant; it took multiple requests to staff to lower the music before we could finally hear our own conversation. The staff and owner clearly don't care about customers or customer service. The food was mediocre. Overpriced, tiny portions, and very skimpy on the vegan meat substitutes. Beware - unexplained charges are also added to orders. Our receipt shows that we were charged an additional $8.30 charge for 'fmw 71' (??!), which corresponds to nothing we ordered (didn't notice this until after we left). Other reviews have complained about this deceptive practice too. I live in Flagstaff but I'll never return to Pizza Patio again; what an unpleasant experience. read more

Avoid this place like the corona virus. They told us they were out of the dough for the pizza we wanted. You are called "Pizza Patio". You should have dough. They proceeded to tell us they had personal pizzas. Great. We ordered 3 of those and an order a fries. Hoping to munch on fries while we waited for pizza. What they didnt tell us, is that it was deep dish and that it would take over an hour to make. (I overheard the table next to us saying they had told them they were out of dough, too. I only state this because when the Owner came over after they brought out the food, he said he wasn't out of dough) So we waited and waited. We ordered Fries.. which finally came out 45 min later. We were starving after a 5 mile hike, so we devoured the fries. The oil was definitely old. 1 hour goes by. Still patiently waiting with our two young children. Finally, they brought the pizza out. It was deep dish. Which they didn't tell us. Had we known it was deep dish and that it would take over an hour, we would have chosen something else. It tasted so bland. NOT WORTH THE WAIT. But we didn't even complain about that. My husband just nicely stated to him that it took a long time and he wished he had known. Then the Owner left and came back out after we just nicely told him we had been waiting over an hour. OMG. Rude rude rude. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. He belittled us, made my husband out to be a liar (oh by the way we saw that Shamrock delivery truck.. you probably finally got your dough). We didnt even make a big stink about it. We didn't even ask for our money back, but will be calling and disputing this. We also left a generous tip when we placed an order. He then proceeded to go talk shit about us to another table. We love supporting local businesses. We don't mind waiting, but you should let your customers know. I just cannot believe an owner would come out and make his customers feel like they are in the wrong then turn around and talk about us loudly to another table. My new favorite pizza place in town! Pricy but incredible. I got the vegan and gluten free crust and holy cow! It's low in calories but high in taste. It's one of the top two GF crusts I've ever had and I want more (I've tried a great many GF crusts and it's competition for top spot is near Reno, NV so it's really saying something). They have a varied menu and offer a lot of great quality, fresh ingredients which is what I always prefer for pizza. They have a lot of meat options, vegan options, gluten free options, etc. so I feel like it offers things perfect for most and in a delicious way. It's a cute setup from what I saw. They have a dog friendly patio so be careful if you have allergies or fear of pups. In Flagstaff having a dog friendly patio fits perfectly! They also have something really unique: a self-service beer taps with local craft, imported, and domestics. I don't drink but even I was impressed with their system! That way you get to try a little sample before committing to a full glass and don't have to wait. Pretty genius I think and I'm sure it's businesses will eventually follow suit. I can't wait to go back because their pizza is so delicious . With so many options to choose from in Flagstaff for pizza, saying this is my new number one pizza place in town (despite being a bit pricy) is really saying something. My only suggestion for them is to add GF/V notes on their ingredients to make everything clear. They called to ask if the vegan pepperoni would be okay since I specified for a gluten free pizza with extra caution and the V pepperoni was not gluten free. Where do we start? After discovering this place over a year ago, the product and service has steadily declined. Based on the menu, it seems like a haven for plant-based pizza enthusiasts. The reality of their overblown claims and overpriced YUCK, is super disappointing. Our last visit was our LAST visit. The table was filthy...we had to clean it ourselves before seating. One or two simple questions about a change on the menu led to an uninvited sales pitch from the unkempt owner/chef (?) about their "house made" ingredients and plant-based eating. We never got a chance to get a word in, nor was our question answered. We ordered the Vegan Lumberjack pizza, which we've had in the past. The pizza we received was NOT it. Undercooked dough, missing toppings, and hemp granola masquerading as "pepperoni". When there's a topping listed on the menu, I expect more than a sprinkling of it on the pizza. Especially, when the pizza is twice the cost of other gourmet pizzas. We asked about one of the sparse/missing toppings, only to be lectured by the inexperienced cook, about plant- based ingredients?!!? DON'T CALL IT PEPPERONI if it's minced sized crumbles, burnt, dry and scarcely on the pie. The sauce was barely there. When we asked the cashier for a side of marinara sauce, we were given a COLD ramekin of tomato paste! Seriously???!!?? Then, when we asked for warm sauce, she said "We don't have warm sauce." How is this even a response, when you're standing in front of the kitchen where food is being prepared and cooked?? That was the last straw. She offered to remake our food, but we suggested a refund. We were told that no manager was present, and they had no authority to issue a refund or any other solution. She took our name and number and informed us that her manager would contact us in regards to our dissatisfaction. It's been 3 weeks since then, we haven't heard from anyone. They may as well be wearing ski masks...this place is a total RIP OFF!! If you're looking for vegan options in the neighborhood, go to Red Curry. They saved our night. read more

Grubhub driver was great. He had the misfortune of delivering our food. The vegan mac and cheese tasted purely of watered down american cheese. The vegan Diamondback pizza on gluten-free thin crust tasted literally like a school cafeteria frozen pizza that was left under the oven for three years before being delivered to my door. I have had vegan food from restaurants that may not be as good as restaurant-quality omnivorous food, but this vegan food was worse than gas station frozen meals. Vegan food CAN be as good as good omnivorous food. But when it is this bad, it is repelling omnivorous people who could be making a huge difference in carbon emissions, water consumption, human health, and more by reducing (not even eliminating!) their consumption of animal products. If omnivorous people tried this food, they would be so much more likely to say "I've tried vegan food, that s*** is wack, I'm never going vegan." This restaurant is doing a disservice to the vegan community, potential vegans, and the planet by serving this garbage food. Also, our food was delivered in oversized styrofoam and plastic containers. Why not recycled paper packaging? Maybe because they need those products to make into pizza crust? IDK. I loved all the vegan options they had here, including some fairy unique ones. The staff recommended the vegan cheddar sticks, which I tried as part of their vegan sampler, and they were great as advertised. Great indoor and outdoor seating options and friendly staff. Impressive beer selection. And it's nice how they have the taps set up so you can try different beers before picking one. Now the food.. awwww yeah. The crust was crispy goodness and the mac and cheese was flavorful.. moist. I ended up putting the mac and cheese on top of the pizza for a match made in heaven. Both were delicious! The buffalo cauliflower bites were gone before I could take a picture - they were our favorite. The vegan mozzarella sticks were good. After a long day of hiking who wouldn't want some pizza! We ended up at the pizza patio for some vegan pizza, and they do have good number of options, which made us really excited to try this place. Unfortunately it wasn't a great experience... it took over an hour! And there wasn't a very welcoming vibe in the place, or any atmosphere at all. The pizza was decent and they have a big selection! When we arrived there was one customer waiting for their pizza to go, a table of customers eating in, and then us. First the take out customer left because he had to return to work, then the dine in customers had to go up to ask how much longer, and then we had to ask how much longer after already waiting 50 minutes! Was told "about 8-9 more minutes" and was actually another 16... It would have been nice to get told there was a long wait for the pizza... this alone would make the experience more pleasant, and would be the curious thing to do. Not even sure why it was taking so long as it wasn't busy in there, and I have been to many other vegan pizza joints where the pizza is out in 15-30 minutes. They had a TV in the place that wasn't on, but that would have been nice to watch while waiting to create more of a welcome feeling or atmosphere about the place, maybe some music, and just some honesty and clarity about how long the wait would be.
