Flagstaffs first beer self-serve beer station can get pretty interesting! One thing I appreciate this place is that they have vegan and gluten free options to their pizza menu. They also seem to support the local breweries with their drink selections. My nephew and I ordered their specialty pizza; the Lumberjack. A marinara-based sauce topped with pepperoni, sausage, and basils. Moreover, the pizza crust itself and bed was cooked to perfection! Just the perfect amount of crunch to every bite without any sogginess. The toppings paired well while the basil ended with a fresh aromatic hint to the nostrils. Overall, a solid pizza! My only concern was the wait. Service was a tad bit slow for us, but I gather it's a place where you grab your drinks and veg-out! Their patio was big, but not a lot of shading. I'm sure it works on a cooler day/night. I went in the middle of summer and was lucky enough to find a table with shades. I recently ordered for a party of five and our order included a caesar salad, a medium pizza with pepperoni and mushroom, a kids pizza with half pepperoni and half plain cheese, and a cauliflower crust veggie pizza. Yes - I totally over-ordered, but our leftovers were delicious the next day! They did forget to add anchovies to my Caesar Salad (which I did request), but I won't hold it against them... We came in before the dinner rush...we opted to sit inside because it a bit too chilly for us to sit outside. As mentioned in another review, it was still quite cold in the dining area. Definitely had to be wearing long sleeves to be comfortable, even indoors. Service was decent. Options were plentiful for vegans. We were so very stoked to try this place. Unfortunately, we left disappointed and wishing we had chosen to eat somewhere else. We ordered the vegan cheese fries and the vegan Parma-karma. The cheese fries were alright. The cheese tasted a bit off, I didn't like it very much. The pizza was...sadly, underwhelming. HUGE chunks of mushrooms and eggplants...both of these toppings needed to be sliced much thinner. The spinach was still cold, Cheese hardly melted...all toppings involved were largely undercooked. The bread part of the pizza was done, thankfully, but that was it. In hindsight, We probably should've said something, but were hungry so we ate what we could. A plus was the vegan ranch. I believe the person making our pizza was in training. I'm not sure if that played a role in the dissatisfaction of our pizza or what, but we paid decent money for it and should've gotten something worth the money. Great concept, poor execution. As a vegan, I was blown away by all the vegan-friendly pizza and food options they had. This is far more options than I've ever seen on a menu of a non-vegan restaurant. The servers was very accommodating as well and I was happy to see there was outside seating since I still don't feel 100% confident eating indoors during COVID. I give this place 3-stars because the food took almost an hour to come out and there was only 1 other party in front of us. I know they had some to-go orders as well but this wait time seemed a bit outrageous. Also, we were there at dinner time so it was freezing out and none of their heaters were working. I was really excited about the plant based menu and was SUPER disappointed. I got the vegan mozzarella sticks and the Caesar salad with added chicken. Not only did I wait over an hour and 20 minutes for a 10inch pizza they also served 3 other customers their pizzas before me. All of them had ordered well after I had and got to eat their pizza and leave while I was still waiting. In the amount of time it took for them to finally bring out my pizza I could have driven the hour and a half home to Phoenix. A man who I would assume to be the owner also stood talking to the table next to us for about 40 minutes. We overheard him say he would "rather go in a gas chamber" than eat something that wasn't gf and vegan. Of course the pizza I ordered wasn't vegan so is this something they do on purpose? If you don't like food that isn't vegan so much then why serve it? You have a full vegan menu just take the non-vegan items off. Oh and to top it all off they have a sign right next to their register that's says they refuse to offer refunds for pretty much any reason. When I asked about my pizza after an hour they told me they were training someone and that's why it took so long. That lie doesn't really make sense since they were passing out pizzas to other customers. I am so beyond disappointed with this place. I wasn't even in a hurry either! Visiting our sons who just graduated NAU and are now working. They brought us here our first night. The pizza is good. Well made crust, plenty of cheese, tasty ingredients. We had the pepperoni and the veggie. They also have a late selection of gluten free items. There is a good beer selection. You order your food and they being out out to your table (there is a nice patio area). Two problems during our visit: One, there was a new guy on the IPAD with another guy training him. Neither seemed very efficient. Two, the hall in front of us literally took 10 minutes to order. She was like the title character in Harry met Sally. Oh, and the food took a long time to be brought out. We were in no hurry but one customer was irate. In fairness, our sons said this had never happened before. The staff were kind and helpful, but the food was just utterly disgusting. We ordered the cheesy pretzel bites, the buffalo cauliflower, a Cesar salad, and a pizza. The pretzel bites had no cheese, were stale, unsalted, and probably frozen for years. The cauliflower had no trace of "buffalo", just a thick layer tasteless fried batter and unseasoned cauliflower. Came here for the vegan pizza on a trip through Flagstaff, and we were not disappointed. We ordered a vegan Caesar salad (delicious) and a vegan pepperoni pizza on thin crust (even more delicious.) Ingredients were clearly super fresh, and a lot of the vegan toppings and sauces/dressings are made in house. This is a casual counter service restaurant but the woman who helped us out when we ordered was extremely friendly and went out of her way to recommend beverages, menu items, and desserts for us. She even gave us a little side of house made vegan bacon and ranch to try - so good! I wish I had caught her name - she mentioned that she makes the vegan desserts. She was a gem! Overall we loved this place and will come back on our next trip to the area. The only bummer was that the owner came in partway through our meal and loudly chastised the staff right in front of us. Those warning signs to avoid this place were ABSOLUTELY CORRECT AVOID THIS PIZZA JOINT When we got there a gentleman was ordering for himself and 2 friends. Upon arrival the manager or owner with the large overgrown beard reaching his chest and glasses was very rude to the man ordering. Telling him he couldn't add sausage to his pizza or another other topping but pepperoni because of the "timing". Not sure what that meant but he definitely could have spoken to that customer in a more professional manner. The customer kept his cool as the manager continued to speak rudely to him about his order that he was paying for. When it came to my 2 pepperoni slices of pizza it took almost 20 minutes. When we decided to leave and asked for a refund the owner/manager was highly upset and rudely responded by telling me "you can't wait 5 minutes?". We already waited 21 minutes for it. So 5 more minutes was not going to make it any better. Even his own employee said "they've been waiting for a minute already". She, too, acknowledged the long wait time as well. Her comment only made him more angry as his facial expressions showed it. Additionally, the music playing was so loud and uncomfortable. I know other people experienced 5 stars but unfortunately the customer in front of us and ourselves had to experience the 1 star. At nearly midnight, the Pizza Patio with is DIY pour beers is the place for wings and pizza for me. You're so close to the fun, especially if you call the Monte V home for the night! Satisfying my wings craving was super easy with the traditional wings! Next, it was pizza, and it totally hit the spot. This pizza place is a great stop and the best part, they have a full vegan menu on the other side of the tradition menu that is a perfect copy of the offerings. I did not have anything vegan so I can't speak to it but it was super impressive. Maybe next time I'll go for the vegan options to give it a try. Im vegan and my partner is not and we both left very happy! Loved being able to have vegan pizza that is actually delicious and didn't leave me feeling bloated after because they make their own cheese and vegan meats on site! So, we found this place on the app called find me gluten free and were super excited to eat here. We met the owner and he was super knowledgeable about food allergies so we decided to stay for a bite. The girl who took our order seemed to be the only server and she did a great job. The problem came when we specifically asked if we should place 2 orders in order to ensure our appetizers came out well before our meals. We were told to order everything at once. So, 2 of our 6 apps came out, then 3 of our 4 pizzas, then 2 more apps, then one more pizza , then 3 more apps, the 2 side dishes one at a time. Everything was cold by the time we went to eat it. So the manager/owner comes over and asks "isn't my food great?" Well-yes, BUT and we went on to tell him our issue with timing. He made a bunch of excuses and told us he wasn't set up to time a meal. Ummm, you're a restaurant. Yes you are-so my husband who has been in restaurant management for 25 years said he needed to get someone to manage his kitchen because it's not the guest's issue that their kitchen can't figure it out. Manager got on his serious voice with my husband and told him his tone wasn't appreciated and he didn't have to listen to it and basically walked away. Super cool way to handle feedback, dude. We were handed the last appetizer as we were walking out the door in a to go box. So basically, we were super stoked, spent $170 and left pretty bummed. This is a cute little resturant which allows dogs on the patio, which is great. They have gluten free, vegan, and regular offerings. I got the gluten free crust with pesto & chicken. The owner told me to do the cauliflower crust, he said it was way better. I hate the taste of cauliflower but I tried it anyway. My DH got the individual lumberjack. We also got the pizza fries, I was surprised our bill was $47, for these 2 small pizzas and the pizza fries. But we waited on the patio, they brought the pizza fries out and they weren't what we thought. As their website wasn't working 100% loading for us, they were literally fries with ricotta, marinara and mozzarella on top, ha. But they were fine. Probably wouldn't of ordered that if we knew that. Then our pizzas came and first the DH. Looked good then mine, which also looked good. He said his was fine. I bite into mine and I was very happy. Even though it was that cauliflower crust you could not tell. It tasted like a regular pizza crust and even held it's shape, I was shocked. I ordered a vegan, gluten-free cauliflower crust, garlic topping, an order of vegan gluten-free mozzarella sticks, and an order of fries. The fries were good, what you would expect from french fries. This is the first time I've ever had vegan gluten-free mozzarella sticks. These I enjoyed- though I was shorted the overpriced extra side of Mariana sauce. The real bummer was the bland pizza I received- which was smaller than I expected and very overpriced for what it was. There was no flavor. I could have just ordered the crust and gotten the same result. The pizza alone was about $20.
