Turkey melt on a Asiago cheese beagle

Posh is downstairs from my office.. so convent.. I never come early enough for donuts but they have plenty of other options.. muffins and a high variety of beagles.. they offer non dairy cream cheese.. woot woot... I usually grand a beagle sandwich and maybe a tea.

Because today was Columbus Day Holiday, I was off from work and had the chance to have a late breakfast here while walking through the Embarcadero Shopping Center earlier. The Egg & Sausage Breakfast Sandwich I ordered really hit the spot. It was warm and freshly made and comforted me during the cold and cloudy morning we had earlier. The toasted sourdough bread was good and the egg had a nice balance of salt & pepper. The cashier and the counter person were very helpful and friendly. I also ordered a Chocolate Chip Muffin to go.

This bagel was fine - nothing special. Service was fast and the variety was good but not a stellar bagel by any means. Also it's cash or Venmo only!

I came here with a coworker since we were volunteering for a Yoga Event that day. We wanted something kinda light and a sit down place since it was pretty darn cold out. We checked on yelp and decided to check in here. Why 3 stars? - Service was fast, they brought it to us when it was done. *Note that there is limited seating inside, not great for more than 4 people. - The food was decently priced, we both got bagel "eggwich" and the price is about $8+ - The selection of bagels were pretty great...till you bite into one. We both said that the bagel tasted like it was undercooked (under bake? such a word? IDK LOL). - We both felt a little gross after even though it was supposedly a lighter breakfast (we got eggwich with bacon and I got the eggwich deluxe which comes with mushroom, spinach and ham). The food was just ok. Would explore more restaurants though... Oh and I thought it was kinda interesting they serve boba drinks LOL.

Had breakfast here one morning - in an effort to avoid the incredibly expensive breakfasts served in the Hyatt Regency next door. I went for the Lox & Bagel - on a garlic bagel, and a cold bottle of water. Loved the bagel! The outside was toasted with a nice crust of salt and garlic, the smoked salmon was savory, the cream cheese was smooth and "creamy," the red onions provided a nice bit of crisp, crunchy texture, the capers a bit of salt, and the tomatoes - a bit of acidity. It all came together to form a bagel total package of yumminess! Excellent! I'd come here again!

    Maple Bacon Cronot (plain)

**This review is just for their Cronots** Cronuts or as Posh Bagel calls them, "cronots" are available at Posh Bagel in various flavors. I decided to check out PB since Lee's Deli only carried glazed, strawberry, chocolate, and cinnamon sugar. PB offers their cronots either plain or filled. This specific location had the following flavors for $2.99: Maple Bacon Strawberry Chocolate Cinnamon Sugar Cherry Glaze Blueberry I picked up maple bacon (plain) and glaze (plain). I happily walked back to the office as I was excited to try the maple bacon. However, I was disappointed! The cronot was stale! I had intended to give the glaze to my co-worker so that he could try it, but ended up tossing both cronots since I didn't know if the glaze was staled as well. Needless to say, I will not be returning to purchase their cronots.

A quick munch before the ice skating rink. This ground floor coffee shop and their well lit place caught my eye. The proximity to the rink was another plus. I didn't try their bagel but opted for their fresh blueberry muffin. It was moist and freshly made. I paired a white mocha coffee with it. Total was $7+ Pleasant staff. Nice placement of tables and chairs.Clean. I sat where I can see some parts of the ice rink to make sure it doesn't get too busy while I was fueling up.

First time here and I got the glazed and maple bacon cronut, unfilled. I thought both flavors tasted okay. Cronuts cost $2.99 each here and they are pretty much the same size as a donut. I'm sure if I had gotten the filled cronut, it would have been overly too sweet for me.

Really nice place, plenty of tables and chairs to sit and eat. Wide selection of bagels at the counter. They sell milk tea here too YAY! People that work here are really nice and helpful. Not a very long wait time for food. I come to Posh Bagel pretty often so below is my review for the items I have tried. Cronuts: Never had a cronut before but it really is just croissant bottom, donut frosting on top. I got one blueberry and strawberry with filling, custard. It was seriously, 1 teaspoon on one side of the cronut. It should have been distributed a little bit more. I understand filling it from one side but poke another hole somewhere else and then cover it with frosting! I wouldn't mind ;) But this was very sweet and don't think I'll be getting another one. Thai Tea: I love my Thai Tea. I enjoyed this. Taste as good as anywhere. Not too sweet, not too watery. Honeydew Milk Tea $2.79: Too sweet, and waaaay too powdery. Even after stirring it, it was still gross. Chicken Salad Bagel: This was really good. Hot sandwich. Toasted bagel, which you can pick. Had onions and tomato in it. Came with a small potato salad which was pretty good too. Tuna Salad: Same as the chicken salad just with tuna.

So this wasn't a completely terrible breakfast stop. Firstly, the staff was crazy nice and accommodating. It was a small army of 4 employees all not doing much and they greeted us right when we entered and were helpful at explaining our various bagel questions. I got the Pesto Bagel(very good) with there egg deluxe which consisted of mushrooms, spinach, cheese, and ham. Everything was good except the eggs. They were very bland and I felt the ratio of egg to bagel to other condiments was overwhelming. Waaaaayyyy too much egg and again the blandness didn't help. I would definitely come back but when I do I will settle for a bagel only.

In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

They had a nice crisp on the outside and were soft on the inside. I also got a regular coffee, and they do unlimited refills. The place was busy for brunch, and I liked the bear theme. Some of the coffees came in bear-shaped glasses, and some of the lattes had a decorative bear made out of ice.

My daughter, the least adventurous of us, went for the traditional French Toast, but it was not merely a serving of French Toast. This was as perfect as French Toast can get - whether it was the fine balance between egginess and non-soggy texture, or the thick maple syrup that enhanced rather than smothered, this was perfection! My wife ordered the Seafood Gumbo Deluxe which came with a a quarter of a crab, shrimp, mussels, chicken, Andouille sausage, accompanying the tasty gumbo! This was two meals in itself, it was so satisfyingly large. The meat was cooked to perfection. She appreciated that the seafood did not have a rubbery texture. I ordered from the specials menu - the Creole Sampler!
