Everything bagel with chive cream cheese

A small spot for great bagels in SF. I've sadly only had a handful of bagels from NYC (amazing bagels) and there's a huge dearth of amazing bagels in SF. Boichik mostly scratches the bagel itch. Small spot, with some spots outside for if you really want to hang out, but it's a grab and go place. The store has minimal room for anything apart from standing around to get your bagel. Counter ordering, with plastic cutlery and napkins located near the entrance. They do advance ordering online, as well as catering. There's merchandise if you really love them, and bagels to-go available if you want to take even more bagels home. There's gluten-free bagels available too. Staff was very efficient to get through the bagel crowd as fast as possible. I got a cream cheese chive and "The Classic". The Classic goes for $16, which is pricey and a one-off treat. It really is a treat though, with great lox and flavors bringing together a fantastic bagel. Bagels are firm yet chewy and delicious all around.

Yum! Got the plain ($3.25) and it was good. No option to toast on the app and no cheese bagels which are my absolute favorites so Boichik probably won't be a staple. Was fast tho, ordered on the app was ready in a minute.

Boichik has been on my radar ever since early in the year when someone brought a bag of their bagels on a group hike at Lands End. I was delighted by the density of the bagels and have been wanting to stop by. Can't believe it took a year, but here we are. I came to the FiDi location for a couple of bagels post-workout at nearby F45 Transbay on Christmas Eve. I asked the friendly staff for her recommendation, and she suggested the eggything bagel. I'd been eyeing the egg bagel, so I decided to get both. Both bagels had the same dense chew I remember from the beginning of the year, yet they also had a lightness to them compliments of the egg. Overall, I thought the bagels from here were very good for what I got, and there was no wait. Even though I came toward the end of the day during the holiday season, they still had in stock what I wanted and more. Now that I've tried the base bagels and gotten a sense of what they're like, next time I would venture out and get them toasted or make a sandwich out of them.

As a person who is picky about bagels and grew up around plenty of excellent bagel places in NY, I think the bagels at Boichik are quite good. This is my second Boichik location that I've been to. I placed a pick up order here for a bagel sandwich via DoorDash, and my order was ready when promised, within 12 minutes around 11:46am on a Tuesday. Pickup was fast and easy. I ordered the Build Your Own: Toasted Sesame bagel with tuna salad, cucumber, and tomato. It came out to about $10 after tax, which is a pretty decent price for a sandwich in the Financial District. The bagel itself was great, and I was satisfied with the sandwich overall. This is a grab-n-go place with no indoor seating, but there are a couple of outdoor tables if you need.

Decent bagel overall. The bagel had a good chew and tasted fresh. I asked for it toasted, but it wasn't as toasted as I would've liked. The toppings and spreads were solid, and the quality is definitely there. That said, the cream cheese was mostly concentrated in the middle of the bagel rather than evenly spread.

Boichik in Downtown San Francisco. Opened early, and delicious. We had an early morning so this won the vote. No wait, many bagels to chose from. So soft and chewy. They gave us everything we wanted. Clean and quick and easy. Thank you for the fresh bagel sammie!! Egg salad, Tuna salad, cucumbers on a toasted sesame bagel. Outstanding!!

Able to drop in Boichik in Battery since it is usually closed when I'm in SF. Slightly less expensive than my usual bagel fix at Timeless Coffee in Oakland. More choices so I went with pumpernickel with vegan chive cream cheese from Kite Hill. Nice morning year. Firm yet chewy bagel and cream cheese was spot on. Great friendly service!!

Tried out Boichik for the first time and I liked the experience. I tried the special Calabrian cream cheese with an onion bagel with tomatoes, cucumbers and sprouts. The cream cheese was very flavorful and would good that one again. Overall a good bagel sandwich!!

Opens at 7:30am!!! Such a crucial move for us when we wanted a nice bagel sandwich close by to our downtown SF hotel. We love an early bird, cuz we out here getting the worm!! Our bagel sandwich was delicious and the staff was friendly and accommodating to our double protein sandwich. Cool spot!!

Hearty servings of cream cheese and really good bagels! The service was quick and there were a lot of options for choose from. There's barely any seating inside, but outdoors there are a lot of tables. Great to swing by!

They explained that the flight includes an espresso shot, espresso shot with milk, hot coffee, and iced coffee. I hadn't had a straight espresso shot before, so this wasn't for me personally just because it was so overpowering. I enjoyed the other three though. Like the majority of SF, parking is difficult to locate. I was dropped off nearby the location. There is indoor and outdoor seating; I was able to grab an empty spot late in the morning on a weekend, but I don't think seating is always readily available. It's not a huge space.

At 11 am on a Sunday they were out of their best- black sesame Kouign Amann and the Raspberry Almond Croissant, which I took care of by paying a visit to Juniper bakery (sister business) later in the day. The Mocha with the house made nut milk fell flat. It needed something. I am not a fan of syrupy coffees and appreciate the more purist approach but this one just didn't do anything for me. The chai latte which I would never order was actually the best chai latte I have ever had, it was smooth like silk. Maybe I just had the wrong coffee order. Besides that, got the hot chocolate and the coffee tasting. I was surprised there was no explanation provided with the coffee- I figured it's all Honduran but an overview of some sort would have helped. I enjoyed all the coffees in there except the latte. Will visit again, earlier in the day so they are not out of their best sellers and try a different order.

I've…read moreheard this place has one of the best katsu sando around and as a lover of Katsu, I couldn't skip it. There's some good places in SF like Cafe Okawari. But Katsu is really becoming the new hype of the day for Japanese food, following the Sushi, Ramen, Japanese Curry, Katsu trend. So I came in with a critical view. I feel like Yoshoku in general may be next but I yet again digress. The box sandwich came in a cute little box. The inside was packed so I couldn't get a chance to fully appreciate the cafe, but the service was nice though the pay line may have moved slower than hoped. I'll say this. This is "the" best katsu sando in the bay. The katsu is crispy, but little on the softer side. But this hardness matches perfectly with the absolutely tender, soft, juicy pork wrapped inside. I'm looking at the menu again and it all makes sense. The pork has been in shio koji, making the meat ever so tender while adding the subtle but complicated marinated flavor. The cabbage is plenty, but not over packed to take away from the main Katsu flavor. What really perfects it for me, was not only the sweet and savory katsu sauce, but the mayo with dash of I think a karashi mustard. That slight tingle, the perfect kick gives a powerful awakening of flavor that really sets the it apart. This is art, an artisan. Culinary art is the refuge no raging rampant AI slop "art" can ever hope to touch. Until the day we get some cyborg implant to our brain into gustatory, olfactory functions. Even then, I don't think any tasteless tech bro are hopeless to create anything unique or beautiful.

Having a drink in hand already, I refrigerated one of the gifted items before putting the other two there too. Watching my sugar intake these days, I waited until the next morning to start on the strawberry matcha latte, medium ice, half sweet (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=0O5eaeZuKxCM2GU2ur3cEA); this is a take on a flavor combination that is a signature one for a local boba tea company. I enjoyed this as the tea flavor was more distinct and the sweetness was dialed down. I would get this again. The other gifted items were the Hokkaido cheese tart and fresh sweet potato cheese tart (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=aVbAWdTtlPx0iEdMyWkNFg).
