He was polite, courteous, and professional in his skill at clearing the clog in our toilet drain. In less than 10 minutes the toilet was once again working perfectly. I originally filed a claim with my home warranty to fix my bathroom sink. 2 visits later the service they sent let me know my vessel faucet needed to be replaced and the warranty only covers standard parts. I had a mainline sleeve added by another nationwide plumber around a year back and my bathroom began backing up again. I called the plumber that did the sleeve and they gave me the run around and hestitated doing the warranty. Fearing that they were covering they're tracks, I called The Rooter Company and they sent their boys out. It turns out, the original plumber did not completely remove all of the material from the opening of the auxiliary line and it was causing the back up. The team did a great job with promptness, politeness and communications on my same day water heater swap out. Even when they realized the new water heater wouldn't fit they didn't push it off to the next day. They drove back to the shop, got a replacement and worked through the night to get us running hot water around 10pm. My only negative star would be the high price. Asked for a quote to install moen water monitor and leak detector. Estimator came out. He quoted $5500. Cost of moen unit is about 700-900 dollars. They said it would take 2 hours. I think it would take about 3-4 hours. 5500-900 is 4600. 4600/4 is about $1150 per hour. This is for a plumber. Sorry but too high. Their business style is to quote high and have you haggle down. I had The Rooter Company come out for a back up in my kitchen drain that was overflowing from the clean out pipe. They charged $1050 for hydrojetting (originally quoted $1100 but I asked for a discount ). I *knew* it was high but just wanted the work done. They then tried to upsell me on major work (descaling and coating) and verbally quoted $11k (normally $14k but "the boss is out of town"). I said no and had other companies come out. The other companies quoted $400-$600 for hydrojetting and quoted around $8k for the big job. So beware. I feel I was fleeced. read more

I had a backup at the house. There was a clogged line about a month prior which I was able to snake out. Then it came back. TRC suggested that it would be better to hydroblast it out due to all the buildup of junk. I mean I was offered a less expensive alternative which was to snake it out again. That service would have been guaranteed for only 30 days. Well, with the hydroblast it is guaranteed for 90 days so I took it. They went through the roof vent. They also provided me with a video that showed the cleaning process. They were fast, efficient and friendly. They didn't try to push anything on me. They just gave me the options and let me decide. They took care of the clog. Hopefully it won't be back. Excellent service. Satisfied. I will do an update in 3 months. read more
