First time in. Tucked in the back of the tiny plaza. Walked in to very friend greeting. Ordered the #1 and the #24. Everything on them. And a side of potato salad. Stood towards the back to wait. Place is really cute and clean. There is a refrigerator and a freezer with drinks and treats. Quick enough my sandwiches were in hand. Got the macaroni salad by a mistake..no worry.. it was delicious. I'll be back. read more

New sandwich spot in uptown! A friend of mine told me about the opening and I'm glad I checked it out! We got the #18 (chicken pineapple teriyaki) and # 27 (hot pastrami, bacon, bomb sauce, and cream cheese) on Dutch bread (which they recommend and I would too because it's unique!) you can add fixins to your sandwich. Everyone was really friendly and helpful in picking the best sides, sauces, and accompaniments to your perfect sandwich. I would highly recommend! read more

First time today. They have ridiculously good food, and the "bomb sauce", which sounded a bit weird, turned out to be delicious. Super nice guy waited on me. I am actually laughing at the 1-star reviews, especially the one that says "I guess I didn't pay attention" to what I ordered (duh !!). Nice little place with limited seating. Steady stream of customers, both new and old, when I was there at lunch time. This will be a regular place for me now. read more

Came in on a Sunday after Church and it was pretty busy! I was ordering to go so I wasn't worried. I ordered one build your own sandwich (turkey, with cheese and some other toppings, nothing fancy) and a side of potato salad and it was about $20!!! I wanted my money back right then, but okay! Now, to add insult to injury I sat at a table and waited 20 minutes for the sandwich! I will never come here again. Two thumbs down. This place rocks so hard. The vortex might be the best sandwich I've ever had in my life and I'm not actually kidding. Quality ingredients, timely and friendly service, moderate prices. Restaurant has a cool vibe to it, great menu selection, great drink selection. The literal only qualm I have is I don't love the brand of chips they have but every other great thing overshadows that. Literally been here the last 4 days in a row and the same quality thru and thru. Hope they stay in business forever and if I move away I hope they come with me. read more

The Sandwich Spot is a dope little sandwich spot... I was craving a sandwich BADDD, so I scrolled through Yelp for a bit and stumbled upon this gem. I also noticed my Yelp homie had posted a few pics of sammies she's gotten from here before and I knew it had to be a good place! (HOLLER... Sara M!) I ordered The Vortex (#16) on Dutch Crunch bread. Delicious! It checked all the boxes for easing my sammy craving! The gentleman that took my order was super nice as he walked me thru some of the menu items. And they've got plenty of different sammies to choose from! In addition, they also sell AZ Lemonade Stand drinks here! SCORE! I plan on coming back again. Super nice staff. Super clean restaurant. I found this amazing sandwich shop And by luck it's in my neighborhood located at 12th st /Glendale The owners Have put everything into making This place Go to spot for amazing sandwiches. The food is outstanding the Dutch Crunch bread Crunchy on the outside soft on the inside first Bite is righteous. The place itself has lots of inside seating and outside seating, and the prices are extremely reasonable, but the quality is unbelievable. Omg, finally a good deli sandwich shop near me. Why is it so hard to find a good sandwich in the valley? Okay, there are a few but not as many as we should for the 5th largest US city. I have to add this one to my new favorite list. First off, it is locally owned not corporate owned so I love that. It is owned by a chef too. It is apparent he loves his craft. Second off, this had to be one of the best dining experiences I have ever had from a customer service angle and I have had a lot of food experiences all over the country in my life. It makes me laugh to see those words being written. Yes, it was for lunch, yes I was in jean shorts, no, it was not a fine dining establishment but a small shop, and yes for a sandwich place. It is true. This is what owning a business you love is all about. Showing appreciation for your customers, and giving great customer care. Right? When I walked in the door Max was working the counter. Another young man worked the back. Sorry I did not get his name. They thought of everything. Max even asking my permission to pick out the potato salad he was going to give me. I had to laugh since they were prepacked and that was totally unnecessary. However, it just shows you the detail he wanted to express to me with his service. He let me try all their homemade sauces and even bought me a cookie since it was my first visit and my birthday next week. What????? Again, not needed but how lovely is that? Third off, so now onto the food. OMG, the Bomb!!!!!!! All of the food is homemade, from the sauces to the desserts. I ordered the State48 sandwich. Friends who know me will know why. lol. It was freaking amazingly delish! Their homemade pesto and potato salad is some of the best I have had ever, and certainly high up there for Phoenix standards. The 8 inch sandwich was huge so I took half home. That made a wonderful dinner with the cookie for dessert. I am a bit of a cookie snob monster. I have to say it was pretty darn good. Max claims their Blueberry Cheesecake is the best in town. I will have to go back to test that claim. The thing is, and I can tell you right now, Max will not have to twist my arm for that challenge. They are a new business, only opened since January so go check them out. They are in the small strip mall just east and behind those Dutch coffee people. Ha! Thanks Chef, Max, and sandwich maker guy in the back kitchen, you all made my day by spoiling me so much. read more

What a great sandwich shop. Since I can't give them six stars I'll need to go remove one star from every other sandwich place I've ever reviewed. I had the Wyle Coyote. Having never been here I asked for some mayo on it. The gentleman taking my order said "No. I'm going to put psycho sauce on it. That's how I make it, and I haven't had any complaints yet.". Hell yes! Maybe that would rub some people wrong, but I would always like the best version of anything I order, and who should know better than the creator? I was also going to get it on wheat, but before I could ask he suggested "Dutch crunch" so, of course I agreed. I really enjoyed my sandwich, and even though I live nowhere near hear, I'm going to find an excuse to come back as often as I can. read more

Yumm. I had been wanting a veggie sub for a while since I don't get them much, and this is a particularly delicious spot to get one! I ordered through Yelp for pickup and it was ready right on time, pickup was easy and the staff was helpful. It's small, but very clean, a great place for pickup. I got the ocotillo on a Dutch roll with the bomb sauce on the side. The bomb sauce had the perfect amount of spice and the bread was perfectly crisp on outside and soft on the inside, veggies were super fresh. Absolutely an awesome experience. We ordered online and thought we'd do pickup to go, but when we got there the dinning area was so cute & the staff so nice, we ate there. The staff even put on the Disney channel for the three year old dining with us, which was so kind. The food? Absolutely outstanding. To find a veggie sandwich so satisfying and delicious, I can't stop thinking about it *and it's been three days!!!* I can't wait to have that Dutch Crackle bread again!!! Absolutely delicious! We were driving back home to California and we saw this spot on Yelp and decided to try it out! The sandwiches were so amazing. Everything was fresh and tasted great. This is a cute little new spot right near 12th Street and Glendale on the southeast side of the street. Everyone in the place is friendly and the sandwiches are delicious. I had the vegetarian on the Dutch crust bread. I'm so excited to have found this place. The owner told me that they can make any of their sandwiches in to a salad as well. The Sandwich Spot is a great find in Phoenix. As someone from San Francisco who grew up on dutch crunch bread it is really comforting to know I can find my beloved bread! The restaurant is nice. First time customer, the litany of sandwich's are mind boggling , also the questions from the staff on condiments. I thought I was getting a Pastrami & cheese on a wheat hoagie, when I got home to my surprise it was on wheat sandwich bread. The Pastrami had so much grizzle I could only eat half the sandwich, if there was cheese on it I couldn't find it, all this came to $14.00 . Hungry for a sandwich, but wanting to buy local, I found The Sandwich Spot through a yelp search. The reviews were great and my partner was game, so off we went. Now before I get into this, I need to preface my review: When I read about "hidden gem"s, they're usually not all that hidden and not all that gemmy. But this? This is the most hidden of all the gems. Ok, thank you for your time. When we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and helpful suggestions. A clever ploy to get us to come back was immediately made in a very natural way: take this menu and start crossing off the sandwiches until you've tried them all! Gamify my lunching habits? I want to say no, but honestly I'm down. I ordered a State 48 (chicken, pesto, and provolone) with signature sauce with chips and a drink. They don't have a soda machine, so I snagged a soda out of the cooler. SO GOOD. The store is clean and inviting, employees and owners are wonderful, and incredible subs to cap it all off? As most of you know, I can't hang when it comes to spicy foods, but this chile is THE EXCEPTION (even though it's only "mildly" spicy). We each ordered the 2 meat plate, but we were so appreciative of the sample he gave us, otherwise we would never have known about it. We ended up ordering 2 burritos for our lunch the very next day!! You can also add cheese to it! I went in again for the 3rd day in a row on Friday, since I'm not sure when I'll work in that area again (I was 10 min away all last week)!! I asked my boss if I could work there on Mondays and Fridays, that's how good this burrito is!! They also have a MEAN Pecan Pie. It's called Bekke's Smoked Pecan Pie and it too, is a must try item! I had forgotten to ask for the Banana Pudding I ordered on Wednesday when we dined in. I called as I drove home, realizing I left without it. Amanda was super friendly when she answered the phone and assured me I would have it when I came the next day. Mark delivered and had it in my bag the next day when I picked up our burritos. Service with a smile is what you'll get here! You cannot go wrong no matter what you order here! The meats are absolutely perfect and the flavor profile on everything is mind-blowing! Do yourself a favor and ask for the Green Chile anything next time you're here. Tell them I sent you! Don't sleep on the Banana Pudding or Bekke's Smoked Pecan Pie, either. Something about that smoking process makes the pie stand out from every other pecan pie you've ever tasted, trust me. It's also NOT super sweet like you're probably used to. If you call in, you can't place an order by phone, so do it online and you'll get a text with an estimated time of pick up. You can skip the line inside, too. Just walk up to the pick up window and you're good to go when you ring the little doorbell. There is plenty of parking outside and they even have a large patio space should you choose to dine outside. Lom Wong is the first name that pops up in my head when recommending a favorite restaurant in the Valley. Lom Wong is what I will be naming my first-born child. My first visit was back in 2023 on June 10, the day my life changed for the better. They have a creative menu with seasonal changes that no other Thai restaurant can do. If you're looking for a pad thai, look somewhere else and please expand your horizons. I have tried almost every dish here and two things I will always order is their green mango salad and crab curry. I prefer mango over papaya, and it is the most perfect, refreshing salad I have ever had. The mango is always fresh, and the toasted coconut and peanuts on top pair so well with the lime and fish sauce. The stir-fried crab curry is extremely impressive with their generous portion of crab meat and fragrant turmeric curry. A few other dishes I highly recommend are their beef shank curry, seabass curry, and the stir-fried Tom Yum wide noodles. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes here! I will be coming back to try the fried whole branzino. We've tried arai kodai, which is their chef's choice option and they personalize the meal for you based on your preferences and group size. Every dish they brought out was unique and so so good. For $55 per person, we thought this was great value considering how full we got and the variety of dishes we were able to try (including some that were off-menu). I also love that they promote eating family-style here and bring out all the dishes as they're ready - exactly how food is meant to be enjoyed. The ambiance is amazing for a special occasion or date night. It will for sure impress. Come here if you want a solid, just incredible meal from amazing people who are passionate about their food! The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.

Anyways, these are the kindest people I have met in a very long time. They are professional, kind, welcoming and funny. Last time we went to Frank's they didn't have it on the menu that day. It comes with cheese ( I chose Provolone ) , lettuce, tomato, and mustard instead of mayo. The steak is Pork Butt ( a shoulder cut) . I loved it. It was sooo moist, tender, and flavorful. Another sandwich for my repertoire . My friend had a Meatball sandwich. The place was clean and the food was amazing. This spot is about 40 minutes from home and I would be here weekly if it was closer. Cannot wait for another stop in!
