This is the spot in Allentown. Wether to enjoy some fine food, swig some booze, or both. Kick back and enjoy some live music or karaoke.

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

I came here for the first time with my buddy on Thursday for lunch. The service was good and the food was delicious. Bonus points for decorating for Halloween. I ordered French onion soup, sautéed pierogies, and Parmesan peppercorn wings. The FOS was piping hot and packed with flavor. The pierogies had an excessive amount of butter/oil, but tasted great. The wings were slightly overcooked and under sauced, but good quality and the sauce was delicious. Our server was welcoming and friendly, but made a few mistakes with our order. My buddy had tomatoes on his panini when he asked for no tomatoes, and I received blue cheese instead of ranch with my wings. No big deal, but when you're confident enough to take an order without writing anything down you should be accurate. I love the vibe of this place and have some other menu items I want to try, so I'll definitely be back. Indoor and outdoor seating are both available. There is no delivery, but they do offer takeout. We had hoped to sit outside but a family had their kids running wild so we ducked inside. The establishment is one long, eclectic rectangle with a hodgepodge of art and decoration without any noticeable theme or cohesion. They served me a wonderful Reyka martini and we had breakfast for dinner because the dinner offerings didn't leave an impression. My girlfriend had three over-easy eggs with smoked bacon and I had a grilled chicken omelet with gruyere and spinach with a side of potatoes. The omelet was excellent. The potatoes could have been a crispier by they were fresh. My girlfriend enjoyed her dish as well. For a Saturday, it was strange that they had only one server and one cook in the kitchen. Even so, our server was wonderful and kind. We hope to return soon and actually have breakfast for breakfast!

With its airy outside patio and spacious interior, we loved the vibe. We were warmly greeted by our server Paige and were seated. Our spicy margaritas had just the right amount of kick! We were off to a great start... We dined on chili and a dish called El Fresco. The El Fresco are marinated seasoned chicken chunks served on a bed of sliced mozzarella and tomatoes. It was so savory and satisfying. The Honey could not stop saying how good the chili was!! I was lucky enough to get a spoonful (or two) before it was all gone! You will not go wrong with either one of these dishes. Paige was nice enough to answer my questions about the Brunch menu and history of the restaurant. She directed me to the wall where an article about the owner Marta was hanging. We then had the pleasure of meeting her when she came by the table to check on us. We're so happy we stopped in. The food and service were top notched. When we're in the area again, we're definitely returning. If we lived in the area I could see us becoming regulars here. I suggest you pay them a visit...if you're local to the area or out of towners, you won't be disappointed!! Thank me later.

Our Server, Kylie took our drink order- but where she remembered my wife's usual, a key-lime margarita. For my appetizer I ordered Escargot fricassee, Primordia mushrooms, pearl onions, sundried tomatoes... so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer and Kylie was kind enough to suggest and to bring out an extra slice of homemade bread as I did not want to let the delicious juices of the appetizer go to waste. The house salad is a Spring mix salad with malanga and mung beans With your Choice of Grana emulsion, lemon poppy, toasted cumin coriander dressings. I had the Filet mignon, asparagus, spinach pave potato, local mushrooms and bacon jam as my entrée-- and Shawn, the Chef cooked it to the perfect temperature for me. Delicious--Thanks Shawn!!! My Dad had Pan seared sea scallops & shrimp, fregola sarda, mushroom cream sauce and he loved it. My wife enjoyed the Maine lobster tails, asparagus risotto, root vegetable salad and she was kind enough to share her risotto! My Mom had the Breaded veal medallions, grilled eggplant, mozzarella, sage, romesco sauce. She'll be back. Desserts--So good! Homemade malted strawberry ice cream!!! Although the dining room was filled to capacity- the voices and tones were quiet and we all could enjoy conversation. And... although the place was full Kylie didn't seemed rushed and she was always right there when we had a need. Both of my parents were grateful for the exposure to the Savory Grill as they now have a new place to enjoy- their words! Thank You to Shawn, Dorothy, Kylie and the rest at Savory Grill!

We thought it would be good, but we didn't expect that it would be outstanding. Their dinner menu was fairly small but had an amazing variety of dishes to suit many tastes. It was difficult to choose, but we settled on the veal and the pork rib rack chop. I knew it would be an outstanding meal when the salads that came with all entrees arrived. I usually grudgingly take a couple bites of a provided (typically uninspired) house salad, but this one was comprised of perfectly dressed greens that were the most tender, delicious, and freshest I've ever had in a restaurant, topped with crispy taro strips and a ring of tiny mung beans. If that level of care goes into a humble salad, I figured the mains would be awesome. They were. Both entrees had beautifully cooked proteins accompanied by generous portions of also beautifully cooked vegetables. The pork rib chop was especially impressive, tender and juicy and nicely paired with the apple mostarda, a sophisticated riff on a traditional pork chop with apple sauce. In addition to the vegetable sides noted on the menu descriptions, we each got haricot verts on the side. I typically eat green beans only because they're good for you, but these were so delicious that they were the only item I didn't take for leftovers. The dessert list was impressively long, and we went for their crème brûlée and a Bavarian with chantilly cream and cherries. The crème brûlée was delicate and smooth, with many specks of fresh vanilla bean and topped with incredibly fresh berries. The Bavarian was excellent as well, mousse-like in texture. Our service had the professionalism you would expect in a high end place. I thought it was an especially thoughtful touch that my box of leftovers was delivered at the end of the meal with the check, so it wasn't sitting on the table with us during dessert. The Savory Grille knows small touches make a difference. Of note, we were in the main dining room, which was a little snug, and the volume with a full house was a bit loud (from talking, not music). The other space looks a bit more spacious. No matter, we had an awesome dinner here that left us with fond memories, and I highly recommend the Savory Grille for a special occasion.

My brother and sister in law have raved about this brunch and it IS rave worthy!! So yesterday was my day! We were seated at a table that was wobbling like nobody's business. That's one thing I can't stand! We brought it to our server, Bella's, attention and she promptly assisted us and stabilized the table. During the course of our brunch the manager (I presume) also checked in to make sure our table was cooperating (which it was). Bella provided great service to us. I really enjoyed the offerings at this wonderful brunch! My sister in law made a reservation and I'm glad she did. Not long after we were seated the place started to get busy. I thought the food quality and presentation was top notch! Some of the offerings were prime rib, roasted turkey, omelette made to order, oysters Rockefeller- giant shrimp cocktail, salads, pasta, chicken divan, lox, bagels and a dessert emporium that will rock your world! That's only some of the offerings. So many choices you will find a lot to enjoy here for even the most picky palate! I enjoyed the prime rib especially. The young man slicing it was very pleasant (so sorry did not get his name) and it was tender and so freaking delicious. I enjoyed that immensely! The icing on the cake though was that delicious creamy horseradish sauce! WOW! Also I loved the tortellini with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach in a cream sauce- so rich and decadent. Another item I had to try was the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was probably the best I've ever had. It is rich but had a nice lemony finish. I tried several other tasty items including the fresh and flavorful shrimp cocktail. I was truly happy with the entire experience. For 45$ you are getting the world. That's rare today! Included in the price is coffee, tea and soft drinks- that's another big plus for me! I hate when restaurants try to nickel and dime for soft drinks etc. Not here! They also offer 5$ mimosas and Bloody Mary's. My husband enjoyed his Bloody Mary. I would definitely come back in a heart beat! Sonia was very pleasant too, she was restocking the side room with offerings. We had a pleasant conversation. *** oh*** one other thing I failed to mention- when I was there, the buffet was in pristine condition throughout the experience. I've been to other places where the buffet looks great in the beginning but then, as time passes it starts to look sloppy with food splatter, looks picked over, and food items nearly empty. Not here!!! Great experience. You won't regret it!!! It's well worth the price!

The asparagus was thicker than I prefer but it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sometimes thicker stalks become stringy. Not these. The mashed potatoes on their own were good, but I took it to the next level adding in some of the demi glaze and they were absolute perfection. Creamy, buttery, and rich. Of course the main event - the tomahawk steak. As you should, I order this steak rare. The outside had a perfect char. Where the fat rendered tasted like a crispy bacon. The whole steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It didn't NEED a sauce, but the glaze complimented the flavors perfectly. My only critique here is how loud the place was. It was a bustling night and if you are going for a quiet intimate spot, this may not be for you. However, the atmosphere was buzzing, the restaurant is beautiful, and the service is on point. It's a must try!
