Definitely returning to The Spot, everything we ate was delicious tasty and nosltalgicly like Moms home cooking, we had the Albondigas soup- that was absolutely amazing!! so amazing, that we quickly ate it up before taking a picture. The Spot is clean, has both indoor & outdoor seating, the friendliest customer service. So glad we got to try this place during our annual vacation, we will definitely return.

The Spot is a lovely family owned and operated restaurant, offering both beautiful tree views, delicious food and the hospitable service unique to family operated businesses. My husband and I shared the pastrami panini and a bagel with cream cheese. Both satisfied our appetite and the pastrami panini especially delighted our tastebuds. The pastrami panini was a perfect balance of flavors and textures with the saltiness of the pastrami, the tartness of the mustard, the creamy avocado and the crispy French roll. It was simplistic deliciousness at its finest. And the kale Caesar salad that accompanied the sandwich was tasty enough to be a meal on its own! Sandwiches are just the right size to eat on your own of share. The menu is extensive and you are sure to find something to please everyone in your group (pics are missing one side of the menu that features smoothies) Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available and though busy, service was efficient and attentive. Felt like we were being served by family!

I have never had better food at a restaraunt!!!!!! This is how food should be made! Restaraunts always say they are "homemade" or what not but then add in silly fake substitutes for food! But you order eggs here and guess what, you get eggs, real eggs that have been cracked open into scrambled eggs. I've always loved soups and I love making them too, I tasted the hominy soup and it tasted even better than my own homemade hominy soup, it tasted like childhood and home and even better. We ordered a panini. I bit in and couldn't believe how excellent the pairing of flavors was! It had layers of chicken and artichoke and tomato and pesto and a big chunk of mozerella! It was so so so good! My kids crepes looked yummy too. I'm so impressed. My kids said I should complain that I can't give 6 stars. We will come back to cambria jsut for this place! It's a small indoor area and a patio that mold out into a little valley. I peeked into the kitchen and saw fresh ingredients on the counters and brands I recognize like Orgain protein powder and Kirkland. I saw fresh ingredients like a tub of apples and honey. I'm so happy! You guys are doing an amazing job! So thankful for your effort and keeping it clean! The fact you guys get some of your ingredients from a micro farm I'm in love! As close to clean, fresh as you could get outside of making it yourself and far more delicious a than I could ever make myself!

We saw this place from the grocery store. We were there at 9 when they opened. Sat outside on the balcony. What weather!! Great service. Friendly owner. Coffee was okay, better than our hotel. Food was terrific. The wife had the mushroom crepe. I had the regular with eggs over medium, potatoes snd crispy bacon. Then we split strawberry toast. Good toasted bread with marscapone cheese and strawberries topped with almonds. We ate everything. So good!!!

The Spot is well deserving of its current 5 star Yelp average. There is a lot in the back of the two story building in which the restaurant is located. There is also a lot across the street in the market, but you are probably not supposed to park there. You may be able to access the restaurant without stairs from its lot, but not from the street. The owner at least sometimes waits the tables. When he is on duty you can be sure that you will get good service. We believe at least some of the other employees are his family and undoubtably they will give you good service as well. The two crepes we had were excellent. Both had good flavor and a decent amount of fillings inside. We had the banana Nutella crepe and a savory crepe--forget which one. Their coffee was not bad. You could smell the aroma from the garlic on the potatoes in the parking lot. They were above average breakfast potatoes. Definitely recommend breaking any diet to get the potatoes. They were not super crowded at/near open on a week day. However, they were starting to get good business when we were leaving. There is limited indoor seating and additional outdoor seating on the walkway/patio that encircles the building. You can see them preparing some of the food from some tables inside. Would definitely recommend giving these guys a try and will visit them again if we are back in the area.

Been meaning to try The Spot for years and love that you get a view and they are pet friendly. We sat on the patio and met with friendly and quick service. We ordered the iced matcha and pine-kaleada smoothie, breakfast wrap, Nutella- strawberry-banana crepe and side of potatoes. Everything was super tasty, great portions, just wish the potatoes were a little more crispy. Otherwise a perfect breakfast/ brunch spot!

I ate here because of the the 5 star reviews on Yelp without checking the menu first. I arrive to a smallish restaurant in a business park. The menu features mostly healthier options including juices, smoothies, toasts, wraps, bagels, crepes and salads. I had a breakfast bagel which was very good. You will not find omelets, traditional breakfast or biscuits and gravy here. I wasn't a fan of the menu but my order was good! 3.5 stars.

The food was absolutely delicious! The potatoes were seasoned so well super flavorful. The crepes were cooked perfectly. Bacon-crispy-delicious! Eggs-fluffy-perfect! The Cucumber Agua Fresca was perfectly flavored and sweetened. Service was fast and efficient. Prices very reasonable. We will definitely be back!

This was definitely the spot! We stopped by for a quick breakfast and were not disappointed. Luckily the inside was full, so we sat on the back patio. It overlooks the town of Cambria. The service was quick to take our order and our food came out fast. The food was piping hot and much appreciated. We ordered the Chorizo scramble. This was my favorite due the flavors! The avacado added a nice freshness to the plate. Definitely recommend this plate. We also ordered the Leftover Panini with a kale Caesar salad. The roasted chicken was well prepared and paired nicely with the cranberry-mayo spread. The kale Caesar was good and also paired nicely with the sandwhich. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend The Spot!

The ambiance is great for the outdoors seating with a view of the forests from afar. The service was good considering how many guests were coming in and out. The Banana Nutella was great due to the pillowy texture and plenty of bananas with Nutella throughout. The potatoes and eggs were solid but nothing to write home about. The Açaí Bowl was just okay with a good amount of toppings but nothing particularly amazing.

What a healthy gem to find on vacation (my stomach needed a break!) Fresh everything and menu items are made-to-order (but everything came out fast). Very Friendly, hard working and efficient service; super clean with both indoor and outdoor dining. Highly recommend the Spot Toast (I am sad I didn't get a sweet crepe to go) and am hoping to recreate the toast when I get home. Very filling and good-for-you food! Highly recommend checking it out for breakfast and for lunch. read more

Everything we order was delicious!! My husband is a very picky person but he loved the food and the smoothies. We had the chicken wrap, the Ferrari and a berry yummy crepe with eggs, bacon and fruits. We also ordered the mango yogurt and blueberry delight smoothies. The place was really clean and cute! The Spot was recommended to us as by the hostess at a popular restaurant who didn't serve breakfast the next day, she said it was her first choice for breakfast in Cambria! So if course we tried it on our first morning in town and it ended up being our favorite spot if the trip. We had two crepes, the bacon filled crepe, which was quite good, and the ham and cheese crepe (with pesto sauce) ended up being even better. Amazing patio view! read more

We stopped at this place for breakfast on our way out of Cambria. The menu here is just out of this world. Every kind of crepe you could possibly want, lots of great juice/smoothie options, lots of flexibility in choices. If you want a big breakfast with eggs and bacon, you can do that. If you just want chia pudding and carrot juice, that's all good too. I had The Spot Breakfast with a nectarine crepe. My partner had a berry crepe and lox bagel. The ingredients seemed super fresh and homemade. Service was good, seating was fast, view from the patio is also quite nice. The patio is dog-friendly, FYI. It's in a shopping center as opposed to downtown, but because it's upper-level overlooking the pine trees, it doesn't really feel like it. Just a nice little breakfast place tucked away off the beaten track. The only thing I can fault them for is not having very good drip coffee. You'll have to stop back in town at the roastery for that. read more

I have had a couple of different things here and the food is always great and extremely fresh. The owners/workers are always extremely nice and are extremely customer service oriented, so friendly and attentive! It's a new business and they are giving it their all. Don't be deterred by the off the beaten path nature of the location/ ambiance - because the food does not disappoint. I almost had whip lash from looking at all the amazing options flying out of the kitchen here. Just came for breakfast and it was delicious! We ordered the breakfast wrap with bacon, breakfast panini and sausage and the banana toast. All were fantastic as well as the staff and service! We will definitely be back. The Spot is not very easy to "spot" as it's on the top level of the plaza but has indoor and outdoor seating. Thumbs up! read more

This is DEFINITELY the spot. Great service and delicious food. Very accommodating as far as making items vegan or vegetarian. Yum! My husband I have been going to Cambria almost 20 years and have never been here. This trip I took a different approach and looked up the top 10 restaurants in Cambria. I see why we never found it since it is not on either side of the main down town, but it is worth a drive up the hill (near Cookie Crock). They have lots of fresh and healthy options and reasonable prices. Since we couldn't make up our minds, we decided to split the açaí bowl and the banana toast. Hubby also tried a green smoothie. Everything was really good. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Cambria. read more

Stopped by for breakfast over the weekend. Very clean store front and friendly staff. The sitting area around the building overlooks the street, giving a nice view of warm morning and the surrounding area. The sun shades and a few (safely spaced) tables is just enough to enjoy your meal while your order in neat to-go boxes is given to you at table side. I ordered the Pork Breakfast Wrap and the Mango Tango smoothie - both were DELICIOUS. I should have ordered another one to go, but will definitely be stopping by again when I'm in town. I hope this place continues to have good business during these trying times, because they deserve it. The Spot has great food more people need to enjoy. read more

This is a hidden gem in the charming town of Cambria. Located off Main Street up the hill past the Cookie Crock Market, a little off the beaten path but definitely worth the search and find. Lots of places to park, that was a nice surprise unlike searching high and low on Main Street for a place to park in town. So many items looked great on the menu but we were hunkering for crepes. My sister and I ordered two crepes, 1 savory (the mushroom) and 1 sweet (Sweet Zoe). They were delicious!! I also had a fresh squeezed orange juice which was very good. They had a green drink on the menu I would have liked but I will get that on my next visit. The place is super clean, the owner, Jesus, is so friendly and helpful, the prices very reasonable and the food is just wonderful. I hope this place is around for a very long time!! read more

Pleasantly surprised by this little find. When you walk in your first impression might be like ours, simple looking and probably wont meet our expectations. We had the Madame crepe, which is savory because of the warm brie cheese, but also a but of swert/tartness as you bite into some green apple chunks. We also shared a Spot salad made up of spinach, greens, avocado, tomatoes, green apples, cheese crumbles and a light dressing. Dont let the simplicity fool you. This was a good find. read more

Decent spot to eat, they have indoor and outdoor dining. I ordered a turkey pesto panini and a detox juice. The panini was okay but it's not pressed as I was expecting it's literally just in a sandwich form and too much turkey not enough pesto in my opinion. The drink was just blended fruits and it was very tart, I was expecting some sort of sweetness to it. read more

I would quite possibly drive from LA to Cambria just for this wrap (it's really just a fancy burrito). It's one of the best burritos I have ever had. It's off the main road of downtown Cambria and well worth the little climb up the steep hill to get there. Unassuming upon entry but great great first impression. Lovely staff. Thank you. read more

Just finished a delicious lunch at The Spot. Food was great and the service excellent from Jesus the owner. We will certainly come here again. Crepe I had was veggie and superbly cooked and my companions both had veggie paninis. Highly recommend it. Found it on Yelp as it is a tiny bit off the beaten pack. Well worth the stop. read more

Relaxing spot for breakfast. Had the spot breakfast. Berry crepe seemed undercooked, ate the berries which there was a good serving of. Fresh squeezed OJ was very good, scrambled eggs should not be browned but light and fluffy, bacon was tasty. Service was attentive. read more

Happened to find this gem during a visit to Cambria. If I lived closer I would be here several times a week. EXCELLENT food, great presentations and wonderful staff. Ingredients were very fresh and everything was cooked to perfection. They variety of items is impressive for such a small business. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back.

We got a mimosa, classic eggs Benedict with hash browns and fruit. The eggs Benedict was a bit runny, the muffin was not too tough and not too soaked, the amount of ham was a bit light on one of the two, and the sauce had a good flavor. The mimosa was about standard. The menu has a good selection with a number of other items to choose from. We would come back here, but it is just ok and not stellar. For example, Broken Yolk consistently makes a better eggs Benedict than RC does. Overall, we would recommend giving them a try if in town. You will get a good, but not a stellar meal here.

That's the first thing you do when you pull something out of a fryer, you season it. The server was nice enough, but they have a thing now where if you ask for water, they want to sell you a bottle of water. I get that things are tough for restaurants, but I almost rather pay a little more for the sandwich and get water, if you know what I mean. I'm no food expert, or running a restaurant expert, these are just my reactions as a local who stops in here fairly regularly. I think if the folks who run this place feel like there's any value to my little thoughts, they would be easy to fix and wouldn't cost anything at all really. I've been coming here for years, and I want these folks to do well.

Besides the corn pudding, the dish was in need of some spice but the creamy tomatillo sauce made it acceptable. The lamb chops entrée filled the plate and was plated quite nicely. The chops were well prepared with a nice char and quite flavorful. The Black Cat Bistro offers a nice selection of wines, many of which are from local vintners.

When the steak showed up it looked good and I cut into the steak. It was done to perfection. It had some kind of JD whiskey sauce on it. I took a bite and it was awesome. SO much flavor. I was in heaven. It was like eating candy. I have always considered The Range in Santa Margarita the best but THIS, yeah this was going to be hard to beat! The Sows Ear was now top dog! The mashed potatoes were epic as well. Perfectly cooked and very creamy. The veggies, (broccoli, squash, and carrots), were great as well. Not a huge squash fan but they did not over do the squash and it was just full of flavor. This REALLY went well when it came to the food. The portions were spot on. Lastly we come to the dessert. We had the Mud Pie. Yep, it was a HUGE piece for less than $10.00. Great value and man.........., was it good. Enough for 2 people. It really creates that intimate setting when you can share with your significant other and it be more then enough. This place would have gotten 5 stars had the interior temp been comfortable. 4.5 stars! The bill for the two of us, no alcohol, was right at $140.00. with tip were out the door at approx. $170.00. The crowning jewel was that we had used Uber to get there, but could not get one to return to our hotel! In a bit of a panic, we asked the Manager ( Owner?) if she knew how we could get back. She immediately offered her daughter, who happened to be there visiting! The daughter laughed and said " sure!". We had a fun ride back...she was charming. She refused payment ( but we left money on the seat)....said " this is what we do here!". We will definately always eat here when in town, just because of the people ( and the yummy food).

This is our favorite place to grab breakfast, lunch or a smoothie when coming through town! Even my dad, who is a local, is always requesting we go there together as he says it's the best food in Cambria! The owner is always there and friendly. There's plenty of places to sit as it's still a bit of a hidden gem that no one knows about. Tucked away behind the grocery store you might miss it if you blink when driving up the street. Worth finding and grabbing a few things! I love the savory crepes and their smoothies. My son loves to get the acai bowl. Dad says it's ALL GOOD and he just rotates his way down the menu each time he comes. Side note, I love the local artwork done by Gil from Morro Bay. Always "spot" on! Lol! Get it? Jesus is the BEST! I've done take out two times in the past couple of weeks. There are always masks and gloves on the employees and you can do touchless credit card payment! :) As always the food is rockin'. Jesus is always willing to accommodate my dairy-free diet. Love this wonderful little restaurant! Healthy crepes, wraps, juices, smoothies, sandwiches, soups, desserts, etc... The attentive owner greets you and serves each table himself. Food and drinks are served in a reasonable amount of time and....oh, the food is so savory and yummy!
