I had to give an update because I've tried The Spot several more times since my last review (very conveniently located and open late). We have been enjoying their subs in particular (cheesesteak, meatball, and chicken parm are our favorites) and have gotten bone in wings with some different flavors that are good. Also enjoyed their popcorn chicken and recently tried their chicken and shrimp pasta which is pretty good. I haven't tried the pizza again, but might give a personal size a shot in the future. read more

This is one of my go to carry out spots as the subs and chicken that I get from them is always good delicious and on point. My only complaint it that the dessert I get from there is the deluxe carrot cake and the slices are getting smaller and smaller; yes it is still four layers but the slices are way slimmer (sad pouting face) read more

I'll only speak on the food, the "restaurant" is at the back of a convenient store and I placed a pickup order. There isn't much to speak on the decorum or space, it was a small space at the back of the store with some tables to wait for your food. I will say, the saving grace of this place was the wings. I ordered a 10" pizza and 6 wings half Mango Habanero half Honey Lemon Pepper, for $20 including tax and fees. Definitely was not worth that. I've definitely had better pizza for much cheaper. The pizza was stiff and cold, but the wings were hot and flavorful. It was a bit backwards to be honest. I literally will only go back for the wings, and I'm hoping that wasn't just a fluke. This place is hit or miss. The food is ok but they nickle and dime you on everything. Make sure you double check the price on what you're ordering. The menu claims the food comes with something but it doesn't. You pay for any kind of sauce even if the item is supposed to have it included and they play that off as (prices are subject to change). Their coupon prices are more expensive than if you just buy the items separately, they hope you think you're getting a deal. And when you bring it up they act like they are too poor to make new menus.. no they are just lazy. And lastly they charge 25 cents for a single use plastic bag to take your overpriced order out the door. So just heads up. Double check that receipt. read more

I never knew this spot existed! Everything you order there is good. It's like the best "corner" store with everything in it. Snacks, juice,soda, tobacco products, chargers, but the food!!! The Spot is a perfect name for this type of place. It's the spot where I can usually go late night when I'm having a craving and where I can mostly depend on getting good food ESPECIALLY pizza! (the fries are great too) It functions as a convenience store as well as a take out spot where you can get eats such as wings or pizza. The staff is usually pleasant though often busy so I wouldn't be so upset if they seem a bit pushy. If you ever catch them during a slower time you'll often find a bit of humor tossed across the counter every now and then. Arguably some of the best pizza I've had in the area though a little on the expensive side (I'm talking almost $2 for a topping of onions), still worth the price for its quality, freshness, and taste. They even deliver to more questionable areas in the neighborhood to a definite plus. Try the spot if you ever need a late night fix. You I doubt you'll be disappointed. read more

This place is kinda unbelievable? The menu is gigantic and the food is very, very inexpensive. They are also open late, so good for those nights where you need to soak up alcohol with fat. A couple of times I have twice ordered many items all at once just to see what quality I will get: burger, pizza, fried pickles, onion rings, quesadilla, greek salad, caesar salad, etc. I figured I'd have food for many days at best and at worst I'd have to trash a lot. What I can tell you is the pizza was on point if you are looking for a quick and dirty my class met our Book-It! goal and we are getting Pizza Hut-esque experience. The kind of pizza you probably had if you lived in a suburban or rural area and never had "real" New York style pizza. Like the pizza here takes me back, in a good way. It is in no way gourmet. It is the basic bitch of pizzas, but it is good. The salads were very good. The burger was just ok. The onion rings were good. The fried pickles were not worth the calories and I ended up trashing them. Same with the quesadilla. I say give it a shot. The menu is so varied, you are bound to find something you like. The last two times I ordered I was missing food. First time I thought was a fluke anthey sent the remainder of the order. This time the said they didn't have a copy of the receipt, they gave me a number to send a picture of the receipt which I did. Still told me to contact Uber eats because they can't send the remainder of my order. So the order that was late, now cannot feed the amount of people it needs to feed. Fairly decent pizza here. I like the fact that it's half a convenient store and half a pizza place. If you walk in the front, the restaurant is all the way in the back and there are a few tables to sit down. We did a BYO Pizza and a shrimp basket. The pizza was decent! It has a thick crust and reminded us of Domino's pizza. There are a bunch of toppings to choose from which is nice. It with garlic dipping sauce. If you ask for extra sauces, they'll charge you $0.50! They're the Ken's brand dipping sauce. The shrimp basket was okay, it reminded me of snack bar food you would get at a swim club. Shrimp are definitely frozen and then fried, as expected from a deli place. Since we waited a while to pick up our food, the fries were not very crispy, but that was probably our fault. They still tasted great. The coleslaw was warm (probably from being in with the shrimp/fries), but it was still pretty nasty. It was watery, completely white, and didn't taste real. This place is in my building. They are extremely shady and change menu prices on a whim. I've seen and experienced numerous instances where they DGAF about customer service. I only eat here when I'm extremely drunk because they're close and open very late. If you call and quote a coupon on their menu, they will raise the price saying "we have printed a new menu." The store is a mess. The tables and chairs are tiny and falling apart. Here's what I ordered: Mild wings, didn't know they'd be boneless. A gyro platter with rice. I wish I had read the reviews here before ordering on Seamless. I thought it would be worth trying out a new place versus my tried-and-true, especially because The Spot looked like they offered some fun options like what they called 'crazy fries' and 'his-and-hers' pizza (half and half--pretty cool), and a lower delivery fee. But you can't eat fun (I mean, literally, the pizza was all over the place--and trying to grab a slice was like trying to grab a slice of water... or melted cheese, to be more accurate... and the crazy fries were definitely crazy... it was basically a giant congealed cheesy mess which was as unappetizing in my mouth as they were to my eyes), and oftentimes, you get what you pay for. The delivery was fast (unlike many of the other reviews--I guess I was "lucky")... but then I kept getting a strange lecture both on the phone and in person from my delivery person about my address, in which he proceeded to tell me in a very loud tone, in my own lobby, in front of all sorts of people, that I didn't know my own address. No, buddy, I've been here for a couple years and I know exactly which address works best for mailing and which works best for GPS--because, no, they're not one and the same, and, yes, I know where I live. I put in the GPS address specially for delivery drivers because the first few times I put in my mailing address, they were taken to spots where they couldn't pull over with their hazards on or find places to park.
