The office needs updating. Paint was peeling and chairs were cracked in the waiting room. We waited at least 20 minutes in the waiting room. The hygienist spent 5 minutes just trying to get the TV on the ceiling to connect. The hygienist was nice but spent very little time showing the cleaning tools to my son during his very first visit. My real disappointment is that Dr. Xu recommended 2 fillings in 2 of my daughter's adult molars with gas mask and local anesthetic. I asked if it was a hygiene issue and what she thought the cause of the cavities was. She said the cavities were not due to hygiene because my daughter's baby teeth were great and sometimes grooves are formed when the teeth are formed. This seemed like a big procedure for "groovy" yet otherwise clean molars so I got a second opinion. The second dentist said my daughter's teeth are perfect, very clean, and not even unusually groovy. Overall, I feel like the office was impersonal and just wanted fast rotation of clients, like a drive-thru. read more

I'm updating my review as my other one was written at the prompt of one of the staff members before my child's cleaning had even begun. My daughter had just finished up getting x-rays, so I couldn't give an accurate review of the entire care team before I submitted it for points. Although this place looks lovely at first glance with all of the fantasy decor, I felt that the care was lacking. Our hygienist was amazing, she made us feel welcome and heard, and treated my daughter with kindness and patience. After x-rays and cleaning, the orthodontist came in and spent around 1 minute looking at my child's x-rays and bite before recommending immediate treatment. He showed me the areas of concern on the x-ray for another minute, which I appreciated, but I could tell he was busy and had other places to be. Then, the dentist came in. I have no idea who she was, because she never introduced herself or even acknowledged me. She took less than 30 seconds to look at her x-rays and in her mouth and mumbled some inaudible terminology to the hygienist. I overheard the words "silver crown" as she begins taking off her gloves and preparing to leave. I stood up and stopped her before she left to ask what was going on and what she saw. I was given a single sentence answer as she was leaving along the lines of "she needs treatment for a pretty deep cavity and will get a silver crown". Nothing was explained to me, options were not discussed, anesthesia wasn't discussed, or what the pulpotomy and crown placement even entails. I had many questions, some of which the hygienist was as able to answer for me, but I've obtained most of my information about this process from Google. The experience was extremely rushed and dismissive, and I'm uncomfortable signing the informed consent for this procedure, as I don't feel informed at all. I'll be seeking a second opinion and treatment elsewhere. read more

Took my daughter there for an appointment, regular stuff, cleaning. They offered to put some sealant, which they told me would not be covered by insurance. I agreed and paid upfront. To my surprise, my insurance send me a letter saying they charged them $1697. They charged for a lot of imaginary items such nutritional counseling and to my surprise they charged for the sealants. The letter from Insurance mentioned the approved 500 and I would be responsible to pay the remainder amount. Beautiful location with the BEST staff! I brought both daughters here and they both received such a gentle and amazing level of care. My oldest is 11 and she complimented everyone; all very welcoming and comforting. My 8 year old gets so nervous and anxious and she became so comfortable and relaxed - zero problems in allowing them to work smoothly. When making an appointment I always add that my son has autism and that I need a very patient person to work with him. People were nice enough, but the dr. Was very rushed. Like she had one foot stepping away while I was asking her questions about my daughters treatment plan. So they get me to pay for a teeth cleaning. But after when I go up to the receptionist she informs me that they don't accept my insurance. Really!!!??? You guys text me 50,000 times to fill out all of this information, but not one text to tell me that I am completely wasting my time. I took the day off of work, she took the day off of school. I Incredibly irritated right now. Don't fall for the okey doke. Make sure they accept your insurance before you waste a whole day coming to this place. Also. Unsympathetic and untrustworthy dentists. Our son has been very ill for almost three years, battling leukemia and receiving a bone marrow transplant. He's been through way too much for a little guy. The dentists know his medical history. I asked them to please be honest when diagnosing him with cavities and etc because we do not want to put him through any unnecessary treatments. The dentist told us that he had TEN cavities and needed a palate expander. Not the news I was hoping for. I took him to MY dentist who I trust. Her second opinion was that he has NO cavities and could probably wait for the palate expander because he still has baby teeth that could come out and leave room for the bigger teeth to straighten out, but we should get a second opinion on that from an Ortho. Our dentist couldn't believe the audacity to over diagnose our son. I didn't realize that our dentist takes kids. We are firing Super Dentist and will be taking both of our kids to our dentist who we TRUST. SHAME ON YOU, SUPER DENTIST. People are expected to trust you with their kids??? NO WAY read more
